Is Jawn supposed to be Scott in this situation? Both played bass for the band at some point and has/had a strangely young gf

#but really. awsten is very much a ramona if we're being honest. but he's also a wallace. to me#geoff gives me young neil vibes#maybe otto can be kim

I've been playing Wylde Flowers nonstop for the past two days and I just KNOW Hazel is gonna die as soon as I switch to summer so I'm just. Not doing it until I absolutely have to
She's so cool and sweet and I already lost both my grandmothers irl I fr can't take this shit! The mentorship situation with a shared talent feels like what I would've gotten from one of them too but she died too soon so I only really got to like,,, Have what little Tara did without the reunion and full initiation, only a bit of shared creation when I was really young before she got really sick and. Man, Tara and her life is actually so relatable to me even though she's mostly a fixed protagonist!
Given how uninterested I am in all of the LI, and from what I heard about him I bet I'm gonna love the werewolf man but first I'm going to marry and break up with literally everyone because I heard it's feasible and you get exclusives. Tbh Kim is the one I'm most into rn, they're really cool and sweet but I know they're bound to end up with Amira if they're both single so I'm just gonna date them both beforehand and then cheer them on. Honestly initially I wanted to go for Violet but I think it's mostly just because she kinda looks like my Stardew Valley wife Abigail lol. Also, to my surprise I'm kinda into Marty tbh, I can already see where they're going with him and I'm a big fan of that type of character but he's not an option either lol
Cameron gives off SUCH bad vibes I hate interacting with him tbh why the fuck is everyone just okay with joining his "exciting new religion" which is obviously just a creepy cult??? I'm like 90% sure Lina is the high priestess too, and seeing Parker falling for it is yet another reason why the witches should just stop hiding tbh. Also I think Amira and Violet are the cauldron witches (healer and potionmaker), the Farseer is either Bruno or Shelby (kinda leaning towards Shelby rn, he's being real cryptic but he was also talking about the moon so maybe he's some supernatural being?), and honestly there's literally no one else the last one could be other than Damon as they basically just have the same personality lol
Oh and also obviously fuck Otto!!!! It feels like there's gonna be an election during the game and honestly im so interested in seeing how that goes, like who's gonna run against him???I'm so curious about Vanessa too tbh, I'm like 50/50 about loving or hating her rn

There was just one thing I enjoyed in this week’s Fear The Walking Dead midseason finale (spoilers ahead): Morgan Jones is gone. Nothing against Lennie James, who is a fine actor and I suppose is doing the best with the absurd scripts he’s given, but I have rarely been so relieved to see a character written off a show. Outside of Ian Goldberg, Andrew Chambliss and Scott Gimple, nobody has done more to ruin this series than Morgan.
At the end of the episode, Morgan takes his adopted daughter, Mo, to Eastman’s graveyard and he sends out a walkie-talkie message to Rick Grimes of all people, a man he hasn’t seen in a decade who is almost certainly not anywhere near, who Morgan would probably not even remember much or care about at this point (we do as viewers, but realistically the other people he’s been friends with for all these years would be much closer friends by now) but who rightly assumes that if there is a way to find him, it’s with the magic walkie-talkies.
The rest of the episode was a jumbled mess. Morgan goes crazy and literally sees red. The screen goes red a bunch of times, as the showrunners drag this gimmick as far as they can. Mo stabs him at one point. At another, his companions leave him sinking in quicksand. At multiple points characters show up to exposit at one another, and other characters who probably should just shoot them fail to do so (more’s the pity).
Finch dies offscreen (seriously?) and then Dwight and Sherry, after all these years, break up. I guess that was alright, given how abhorrent their relationship was. They should never have gotten back together in the first place. What a silly way to end their arc, even if they were terrible for one another. Why were they even in this show to begin with?
Hey, why was PADRE in this show? They talked about it for half of last season, then introduced Shrike as this big bad villain and then killed her off in Episode 6! What?
One thing I also enjoyed: The look of pure happiness on Madison / Kim Dickens’s face when Morgan says he’s leaving. She looks genuinely thrilled to get her show back at long last.
And I suppose that’s where we’re headed in 8B. The new cast is mostly gone, either departing like Morgan or just not showing up this season, mysteriously, like Sarah or the rabbi. We’re left with Madison and Daniel and June, who will reunite with Strand and Luciana. I suppose Dwight and Sherry might still be around, just not together (maybe they’ll get back together in the series finale!) and the big bad will now be none other than Troy Otto.
Troy’s return has been leaked for a while now, but the final scene of this episode shows a mysterious figure with several items: Strand’s sunglasses, Alycia’s arm and the hammer that Madison used to “kill” Troy before the dam blew up quite literally on top of him. Naturally, he has survived all of this and is out for revenge . . . ten years later, give or take. What cartoonish nonsense.
I know some people are excited to see a return to a united original cast (or what’s left of it) and one of the show’s best villains (anti-heroes?) but I have zero faith whatsoever in the people who are producing and writing this show to deliver. I suspect it will be another six episodes of exposition, convenience, walkie-talkies, absurd scenarios and wooden dialogue, culminating in something very similar to what we got in this episode. Can’t wait for them to ruin another character!
Scattered thoughts:
Where did the zombie horde actually go?
Why were they so nice to Shrike in the end? She was a horrible person.
I think my favorite characters this season so far have been Strand and Luciana.
This was another very sloppy episode. I think Shrike was bitten on the other side of the neck from where the wound was shown.
I will reiterate here that I was never a fan of Madison, and her returning to be the main protagonist does not excite me. I liked the idea of her becoming a villain by the end of Fear but now she is just another cardboard person with no real identity outside of her interactions with Morgan.
Mo ended up being pretty ridiculous in the end, disregarding adults, leading children twice her age. She certainly never came across as an eight year old.
Finch’s line “Nobody should have to feel like this” was maybe the one good line, with any real emotional weight, in the entire episode.

Agent Du Bois of the Psychonauts
Tried to make harrier in the psychonauts style :3 it's more so a psychonauts proportioned harrier in my style but i think he is SO shape. His psi color is green with orange accents and his psi portal has the same pattern as the horrific necktie with the psychonauts logo (maybe the logo in the skills' color scheme?)
I drew Kim in the style here
Additional info about his psychic abilities below!!
Agent Du Bois has an incredible connection to the psychic network. He is an expert at navigating the minds of others and interpreting psychic energies. He is not very good at manipulating things in the real world. Pyrokinesis, hydrokinesis, etc, are very difficult for him to maintain, but he is the best clairvoyant you'll ever meet. He can use clairvoyance on multiple subjects at once, sometimes unwillingly. He can use clairvoyance on inanimate objects, also sometimes without meaning to.
Along with this, he can break down much of the strongest psychic barriers to access a person's perspective. This can be incredibly intrusive to the people around him, but it means he can enter almost any mind. Basically he's very psychically perceptive.
Because focusing is difficult for Harrier, he is not very strong with telekinesis either. He cannot lift heavy things and his TK hand is rather small (along with his levitation ball.) Instead, Harrier has ridiculous strength and can lift things with his body just fine. As for the small levitation balls, he makes four on each foot and uses them as roller skates.
Harry has an incredibly negative reaction to psitanium. It magnifies his psychotic symptoms exponentially. The effect is not always immediate, but it is noticeable for him and those who know him very well. This means he cannot use some psychic machinery like what Otto Mentalis makes.
So when Harry takes up the role of Camp Whispering Rock camp counselor one summer after recently forgetting how sensitive he is to the material, he has a bad time. Yes, Martinaise essentially still happened. There wasn't any psychic reason why he lost his memories (the cause was still substance abuse), but him being a psychic certainly Did Not Help.
#disco elysium#harrier du bois#harry du bois#agent harry: as an empath#agent harrier du bois#last tag is placeholder till i find a better name#psychonauts au#my art#psychonauts of elysium

To Thine Own Self
This is my third time watching Sons of Anarchy and just finished Season 5 Episode 11. Wow, this is a great one! Maybe it's just me but I think the camera and the lightning are extra brilliant here, every scene looks sharper, more powerful and the characters so pretty. This is a very heavy episode with so many crucial scenes:
Jax trying to find a way out of the Cartel business - and finally making great decisions 👍🏻
Clay working on his escape route
The two of them having a conversation about their different views on the future. I loved Jax' words: "I'm tired of being crushed under the weight of greedy men who believe in nothing."
Clay and Tig having a chat - realizing that their relationship is beyond repair now. Let's stop for a moment to say that Tig Trager / Kim Coates has probably never looked better in the show than in this very episode 😍😍 😍
Juice being forced to quickly get evidence of Clay's betrayal - to save himself (poor Juice is being crushed by the weight of everything)
Tara thinking about a possible career change and new life in Oregon, also dealing with the aftermath of Otto's brutality
Nero having trouble with his Byz-Lats crew - SAMCRO comes to save the day with their guns. That brings us the iconic car chasing / shooting scene in the desert where the guys' old station wagon survives everything 😁 And we learn that SAMCRO doesn't need seat belts. "Anyone dead?" "Negative" 😆😆😆
Nero has been working so hard for leading a clean life for his kid, finally earning legit, moving away from his criminal/junkie past. It was such a heartbreaking moment when Nero realized the crew members he'd just killed to save Jax were actually innocent in the kidnapping 💔
Gemma in the middle of the Nero / Clay triangle 🤔
Jax finally telling Bobby and Chibs the whole truth about Clay: JT's letters, Piney's death, Tara's assault, Clay being behind the home invasions and how they can get enough proof to send him to meet Mr. Mayhem
Bobby being the voice of reason again. He realizes that Jax doesn't have the evidence against Clay but he'll still want to kill him - he goes on guard duty, protecting not only Clay but also Jax from making a mistake he as a president cannot afford

14th Annual Kim Possible Fannies Awards - Final Round of Voting
Hello and good evening to everyone in the Kimmunity.
Now that the first round of voting has come to a close, I am happy to tell you that we have approached the final round of voting. This is going to decide the winner of each of the 29 categories
Now, before the voting can commence, I need to go over a few house rules with y'all on this very important round of voting.
Rule #1) You can pick any category you desire, but you only get one choice per category. No more than that. Authors may vote on their own stories up to 5 categories.
Rule #2) You cannot split your votes.
Rule #3) You can submit your vote in either one of two approved methods
A) You can submit the form by PM to the Kimmunity Fannies fanfiction account (if you have an FFnet account) The link is here: https://www.fanfiction.net/u/2622561/KP-Fannie-Committee
OR
B) You can submit the form by an email to the Kimmunity Fannies Yahoo email account. The email address is [email protected].
You cannot, however, do both. It will screw up the system.
Rule #4) You have to submit your vote by June 14th at 11:59 PM (Central US TIME). No votes will be accepted after this date.
Rule 5) You have to put your normal screen name (be it Tumblr, Twitter, DA, FFnet, the active KP forums, or Instagram) under your vote so that it'll tell me who has voted.
Rule #6) And this is the most important rule of all -- You CANNOT share your vote on any social media site (be it Tumblr, Twitter, Discord, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Facetime, Kik...etc.). The Final Vote Round of the KP Fannies has been private in the past and we, as members of the Council, want to retain it as such as part of our tradition in this fandom.
Rule #7) In the event that a tie emerges in a category, it will go into a runoff to determine a winner. And if still tied, the Sharper Eye test will come into play. (i.e. the story with the most faves and follows will win out in the end.)
With all the house rules in play, may the best author win.
EDIT 1: Had to put in the actual email address to submit votes. :P

24) Best Single Line
Nacos and a Movie - (Chapter 26: The Fight: Round 2)
"Shego's battlesuit, meet Kim Possible! Kim Possible, meet Shego's Battlesuit!"
Drakken presented Team Possible with a nasty surprise (Shego's Battlesuit made exactly from the specs of Kim's Battlesuit) and said suit was presented dramatically (i.e. a thunderstorm).
Sky Blue Ocean Blue (purplegirl761) Single lines:
"Don't say that!" Drakken hollers. "You think there isn't a part of me that wants that more than I care to admit? You think there isn't a part of me that would still love to do exactly that? Well, there is! And every time I listen to that part of me, horrible things happen to me and the rest of the world! Ruin! Chaos! Tragedy! Mutant termites! Despair! Fast food restaurants warped beyond recognition! Screaming people! Brainwashed people! People tortured – forced to sit on ice cubes until their rears freeze!"
-from the latest chapter of Sky Blue, Ocean Blue
Last Dance - Whitem: "The two were now standing in the middle of the room, enveloped in silence, and Kim noticed that Ron was floating away from her.
"Please Ron… don't go!" A frail hand reached out to the man she had loved for her entire life. "I… I want to go with you."
Ron's slowly fading form smiled as he answered. "I'm sorry Kim, but you can't. It's not your time. You still have a few more good years left. I waited for you during my lifetime, and I can wait for you in eternity. I love you KP."
Lesson One - Eoraptor Best line: "KP, Ninja school? Sounds cool, but so totally not for me. I spent my first day tangled in, or out of, my own clothes; couldn't eat a meal for like a week, and almost wrecked the joint with a magical sumo stomp. And on top of all that? No fast food!"
"But then I realized — I'll never defeat you. You're smarter than me — than most people — and boy do you know how to win a fight. You see Kimberly Ann," Drakken lectured. "What started all of this was one little thought: If I can't take over the world, maybe she can." - I'm Scared Too
(Magic Flying Spud)
arandomshipper - KP The Princess Bride -
From behind her she heard the sound of many swords being drawn. She sighed. "You reeeeeaaaally don't wanna do this, boys."
"We have our orders."
"If you were ordered to jump off a cliff, would you do that, too? This isn't any different, when it comes down to it, except this way will be more painful."
Butterfly's Wings by Vyrkerion again
-- build up to line: [I could paraphrase a more succinct explanation, but eh it's just a nomination] His skin was pale, and somewhat translucent revealing embedded circuitry and mechanical bits hidden below the surface. Even still then the faintest hints of where freckles used to be dotted across his cheeks. His eyes were a soft brown punctuated with a brilliant glowing red emitting from the depths of his pupils. Most of his head was burnt and scarred, the remnants of the machines fusing with his body, but patches of dusty blonde hair could still be seen sticking out from his scalp.
Kim choked, "Oh… Oh god… no. NO." And with that, Kosch the Killer released his grip on Kim Possible's throat and sent the girl plummeting. As she fell, she could see Kosch mutter something and in her last moments of conscious barely lip-read the words:
-- the actual line I'm nominating:
Die. Kay. Pee.
Die KP.

Casting my WIP: “Blade of Penance Volume I: Bore of Great Sacrifice”
Haven’t posted anything in a while thought I would put up a fun game for us aspiring authors out there. My first draft nears completion. Just a the final fight, “mop-up” and a couple appendices to write. Hoping to be done this week while I am on vacation. *fingers crossed*
Anyway, I saw a YouTube video posted by an authortuber I follow named Kim Chance where she went through the dream casting of her newest book Seeker (soon to be released here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5Rmhm8HhE8). I was thinking while I was running some errands earlier today I should do something similar. If my novel(s) ever get made into a movie whom would I cast as each character? So I decided to post that here and see what other authors/aspiring authors would cast as their characters. Name the character, a brief description of them, then the actor/actress and why you would cast them.
Here are the rules: #1) You have to use the actors/actresses as they are TODAY. No using “Early 80′s Arnold” or Clint Eastwood like he was when he played Dirty Harry. It also goes without saying you can’t use actors that have retired from acting or passed away. #2) If there is a seminal movie/tv show in your genre you cannot use actors from that franchise. Since this rule can really make things difficult you can use up to TWO exceptions to rule #2. Since my WIP is epic fantasy both actors from Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movies and Game of Thrones are disqualified.
Okay here we go.
Dorath:
The father of my hero Kaaldor. A former general and hero of the Battle of Gos. The last scion of the House of Dranus who’s progenitor alongside Ka’Reyus The Elven Warrior King lead the Great Liberation against the Dragon Rule of Rab Yangin 500 years ago. Few either human or elf could match his skill with the blade save maybe one.
At first I thought of The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. I even used his physique as a bit of a template when I was doing up his character model. However in the end I thought he should be cast a bit younger (Don’t hit me with the People’s Elbow Rock.)
Therefore I will use one of my exceptions early and go with Aquaman, aka Kahl Drogo, Mr. Jason Mamoa.
Ka’Reyus:
The Elven Warrior King and Grandfather to my hero. Unquestionably the greatest warrior alive. Has gone unmatched in swordsmanship for over 500 years. Single headedly fought and slew three dragons at once. Him and Dranus (Dorath’s ancestor) tag-teamed to slay the corrupted dragon lord Rab Yangin to free the continent of Kalis from drake rule. Is Dorath his equal as a warrior??? SPOILERS :)
For him I batted around a few choices including Liam Neeson and Russel Crowe of course cgi would have to be used to size them down because as an elf Ka’Reyus was only 5 feet tall.
I finally decided on Wolverine himself (aka Jean ValJean, aka PT Barnum) Hugh Jackman.
(Yes this is an older pic... but I wanted one of him as Wolverine :) )
Princess Almelphia:
Mother of Kaaldor. Only child of Ka’Reyus. The unchallenged beauty of Elvendom. All the nobility compete for her attention not only for her beauty but that whomever she chose as her husband would be the likely successor to the elven throne. She is also is the only member of the royal house with any magical ability, even though it is just limited to reading the memories left behind on things/people that she touches. While my hero was growing up she always called him her “little champion” and he did everything he could to live up to that title.
She was a tough choice. If I wanted to use my second exception I would have chosen The Khalessi herself Emilia Clarke but considering Jason Mamoa is Dorath… that may be a little much. I also considered Miranda Otto (aka Eowyn) but again didn’t want to use my second exception. Therefore I decided to go with Jenna Coleman aka Clara Oswald from Dr. Who, and Queen Victoria on Victoria.
Here she is from the “Robin Hood Episode” of Dr. Who so you could see how she would look in a fantasy setting.
Ka’Vatch:
Lifelong friend of Ka’Reyus and Elvul Ka’s(the elven nation’s) foremost smith. Him and Ka’Reyus both learned their weaponry by working his father’s forge. Growing up Kaaldor learned from Ka’Vatch at the same forge. To be a great warrior you must both know your weapons and then know yourself. The weapons part started with Ka’Vatch after an 8 year old Kaaldor hid in his smith from bullies that didn’t like that he was half human.
For him I thought about Michael Ironside. Granted you usually see him as a bad guy (and he plays a great villain, especially with his voice work... if they ever do a live action version of Darkseid they should have him reprise the role from his voice work on Superman: TAS etc). However age is a factor. Therefor I chose Josh Brolin aka Thanos… aka Cable.
Ka’Draoi: (pronounced Ka’ DREE, gotta love Gaelic)
Grand Thaumaturge of Elvul Ka’ and one of the world’s most powerful wizards. He draws his power from the Blue Flame like all elves and fought along side Ka’Reyus and Dranus in The Great Liberation. Being such a long time friend of the king he can often get away with breaches of proper decorum and has been known to have a bit of a ...shall we say “unique” sense of humour.
My original choice for this role was of course Sean Connery... but he has been retired from acting for some time. I thought about Terrance Stamp (aka General Zod from Superman II, my all time favourite movie villain) but decided against it. I didn’t want to use another exception or to be seen as him being a Gandalf clone so no Sir Ian McKellan.
In the end I chose another James Bond Pierce Brosnan, he can command the regal presence and wisdom Ka’Draoi needs, plus have the comic timing to pull off the sense of humour needed.
Ok. That covers Kaaldor’s family and the elves. Now lets move on to some more human characters.
Admiral Jagaran:
He is the Admiral of the Palan fleet (the main villain nation of the story) and in command of its new flagship The Jorgmundr (a ship completely made of dragonbone). He is a very skilled warrior, especially at see and a cunning strategist. He always takes the most straightforward path to victory whether it is an honourable choice or not. However he has been known to let his ego get the better of him.
My first choice was Peter Wingfield. Highlander fans will recognise him as Methos from the 90′s Highlander TV series. (As a point of trivia I watched some of Methos’ sword fights on the series to map out some of this character’s move sets). However he has apparently retired from acting and at last report was pursuing a career in medicine.
So instead I went with Rome’s Ray Stevenson, he has been in many other things but I mostly know him as Titus Pullo on Rome, Volstagg from the MCU and as Frank Castle in Punisher: War Zone (I should dust that one off I haven’t watched it in a while)
Anonyus:
The Mage assigned to the Jorgmundr. Although he technically outranks Jagaran as he is a mage his role on the ship is similar to that of a “political officer” on the old Soviet ships. He is your classic sadist that makes King Joffrey and Reese Bolton look like boy scouts. He prefers to invoke fear in his adversaries of what he may do than to actually inflict the pain.
For him I went back to the MCU and chose Tom Hiddleston, aka Loki. I just love him as a villain.
(Point of trivia... he originally auditioned for the part of Thor... go fig because he was so good as Loki.)
Armorton:
The chief slave-driver on The Jorgmundr, and a sadist son of a... gun (trying to keep this PG) in his own right. He takes perverse pleasure in publicly and brutally executing slaves that can no longer work in the bowels of the ship... or just make an example of. As he is more a hand to hand brute than a swordsman I went with a wrestler/actor for him. Dave Bautista from Guardians of the Galaxy (gee I am pulling a lot from the MCU) and Spectre, also a former WWE Champion.
Ok... let’s get away from the villains for a bit.
Dex:
The classic dashing rogue. Thinks he is “the pyres” gift to women and even names his lockpicks after his conquests. Never met a maiden he didn’t want to hit on. Or a full coin-purse he didn’t want to cut. Always ready with a witty retort but also willing to help when he sees something unjust. Kaaldor sometimes sees him as his best friend... and other times wants to punch him. But they somehow make it work as they defend the village of Belieret from the warlord Tyv.
This character needs the comic timing that only Ryan Reynolds can provide. I have been a fan of his since he was in Blade: Trinity (not as bad as everybody says) and he was dead on casting as Deadpool.
Klok:
A Baegian merchant that is one of the few in Belieret willing to learn how to fight to protect his new home. His own brother betrayed him when the Baegian King became a vassal for Q’Rab The Sorcerer King of Palis and Klok began to speak ill of the new regime. He couldn’t let hit happen again with Tyv.
I have chosen a bit of an odd choice. A TV actor named Alimi Ballard. He has been on many TV shows but I mostly remember him as David Sinclair on Numb3rs.
Ok lets do some more villains then we will go for the Hero and Heroine.
Tyv:
The warlord that is pulling the old extortion racket on the village of Belieret. He blames Ka’Reyus for ***SPOILERS***. Little do the villagers know he is just a cog in the machinery of one of Q’Rab’s plans. In the meantime he plans to take his revenge on Ka’Reyus by sending him Kaaldor’s head.
For this I am going cast Clancy Brown, mostly because he played my #2 all time favourite movie villain The Kurgan in Highlander. You would also recognise him from The Shawshank Redemption and Starship Troopers. He as also done a lot of voice work, including Lex Luthor for Superman: TAS, Savage Oppress on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Mr. Krabs on SpongeBob SquarePants (lol).
Hespera:
Apprentice to the Sorcerer Q’Rab and Master/Mistress to Anonyus. She suffers no failure and many of her apprentices have felt her wrath. None have lived to tell the tale. Her vanity is her weakness and although devoted to Q’Rab for centuries she has been known to have her own machinations to undermine his plans. You only briefly see her in the first book... but I plan to have her take a much larger role in book 2.
For her... if she is willing to be a redhead my first choice is Wonder Woman herself Gal Gadot. She can be both regal, the flirt to ensnare men but then switch gears to be something menacing all at once.
(come on I had to choose a Wonder Woman pic... all the world is waiting for you... and the powers you possess :) )
Q’Rab:
Sorcerer King of Palis and has ruled for over 200 years. He draws his power from the Black Flame and rarely gets his hands dirty himself but is always a Master of Puppets pulling strings from afar. All under his rule are fanatically devoted to him. Whenever he is mentioned they finish the sentence with “May his reign be eternal”. It has yet to be determined who is the more powerful wizard if him and Ka’Draoi were to meet in a duel, and the true goal of his plans while he is at war with the nation of Corlot are ****SPOILERS****. His origins are ***SPOILERS***.
For him I went with a bit of an odd choice, I needed a classical type of actor but one that wasn’t your standard English baddie. I went with Alexander Siddig. While best known as Dr. Bashir on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, he also has a long movie and TV career including 24, Gotham on the small screen and Kingdom of Heaven and The Nativity Story on the big screen. If he can pull off both The Angel Gabriel and Ra’s Al Ghul he can pull of Q’Rab. (Note: As he was also Doran Tyrell on Game of Thrones... he is my second exception)
Ok... you are saying enough with the villains. Fine lets get to the main event. My hero and heroine. First the Heroine:
Renna:
Daughter of the captain of The Divine Lady, the ship that Kaaldor is a passenger on when The Jorgmundr strikes. While able to fight for herself knows when she is out of her depth and instead fits into the facilitator role to get Kaaldor what he needs to win. She can also act as the diplomat to Kaaldor’s brute force as she knows not every problem can best be solved by the right amount of smashing. She is not the damsel in distress like Lois Lane that always needs a Superman to rescue her, but she also knows she doesn’t have to be Xena to be strong either.
This one was a hard choice... The aforementioned Jenna Coleman was a strong contender at one point. I also considered Rosa Salazar (loved her in Alita Battle Angel) however in the end (maybe because I just did a binge watch of Cobra Kai over the Labour Day Weekend) I chose Mary Mouser (Samantha LaRusso on Cobra Kai). Her look is the right combo of innocence, beauty and strength which is what you need to play Renna.
Finally.
Kaaldor:
The hero of the story. Half-elf and half human. Trained by his grandfather since he was eight years old to be a warrior without equal. He was even able to fight Ka’Reyus to a draw. Though of the elvish royal family very few fully accept him as part of elvish society. He can never let an injustice stand and sometimes gets himself deep in a bad situation by acting without thinking. But still is the one willing to act when others are too scared to. In the end he must complete his quest to ***SPOILERS***
For him I originally thought of Daniel Cudmore, I best remember him as Colossus in X-Men 2 and X-Men 3 (boy did three SUCK). However in the end thought a Hemsworth was a better fit. Not Chris (Thor)… but Liam (Expendables 2, The Hunger Games). (Note: He will probably have to bulk up a bit as when I wrote the character I was thinking “Early 80′s Arnold”)
Well There you go... It was a lot of fun going through this. For all you authors/aspiring authors out there... lets see your own lists. Use the Tag below. :)

System Ask Game
🦒 Do you have an inner world? If so how big is it? The innerworld is kind of whatever it wants to be. Changes frequently. Some reoccurring locations are children’s play rooms and tree houses, office rooms, a stadium(?) and forests. Its kinda fluid though.
🐈⬛ If you have an inner world did an alter consciously create it? And is anyone able to change it at will? I’m not really sure. I think it depends on the alter actually. But yes to both depending. Its kind of confusing.
🦝 Who is the most responsible person in your system? Definitely Otto.
🦋 Who fronts the most? Ideally this would be James cause that is the name we go by, but at this point I think Kim fronts way more and is basically a host now.
🦢 Do you mostly communicate externally or internally? Depends on the situation. Sometimes it can be weird to talk inside the head, so we will open Discord to talk on a private server with PluralKit to keep it organized, or on paper or notes app.
🦮 Do you have any animal alters? Yes, and some that are like hybrids of other non-humans.
🦇 Do you have any parts/fragments that aren't fully alters/headmates? Yes, but it can be hard to identify which is which. Whenever we find someone new, we try to log them, even if a lot is left blank. Its just our way of trying to keep track of everyone and stay organized.
🦄 Do you have supernatural beings in your system? Yeah. I think there’s some angels, demons, vampires, fairies, and sirens? Not a lot of each and I might be leaving some out but they are there.
🐖 If you were to be in a relationship would all of your headmates/alters date that person? We are in a relationship and while most of us are dating this person, a lot of us are not or have different opinions.
🐭 Do most of your alters/headmates have the same or similar style/aesthetic? No, but a lot like pastel/cute stuff. Also bright colors.
🪱 Do your alters/headmates have different sexualities? Do any contradict? Yeah a lot lmao.
🐇 Do you know what your head count is? Last I checked I think 80-something??
🦥 What is something that instantly makes someone switch in? Usually a stressful situation. However if everything is safe/chill one alter might switch in. A very specific example would be something like we could be ordering food and Shrimp jumps in to demand Dr. Pepper cause he really likes Dr. Pepper.
🐴 Do you have child alters/syskids? Yes. Many of them. Lately, more and more alters from childhood have becoming not dormant. I think its because at this point in our life we are in a safe space. Its part of the healing process, I think for us at least.
🐆 If you have syskids/child alters do you have more adults/teens or children in your system? I think its a mix of both, though the non-child alters tend to be more diverse in their other roles (if they know them) while littles tend to just be littles
🦔 Does anyone in your system age regress? Yes, many alters.
🐶 Who has the best memory in your system? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
🦊 Do any of your alters have their own blogs just for them? Nope. Maybe eventually? Kinda new to Tumblr. We’ll be adding hashtags to posts to keep track of who posts what though.

How to Start a War in 5 Easy Steps
By Stephen M. Walt, Foreign Policy, April 2, 2018
Is the United States on the road to war? The number of people who think so seems to be growing, especially after President Donald Trump fired several of the grown-ups who were reportedly tempering his worst instincts and proceeded to elevate hawks such as CIA Director Mike Pompeo and John Bolton, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Writing in the New York Times Magazine this past Sunday, Robert Worth portrays Defense Secretary James Mattis as the sole voice of reason in Trump’s new “war cabinet” and highlights the risks of conflict with Iran, North Korea, and maybe a few other countries. How nervous should we be, and how might we tell if Trump is really serious about war or not?
The first thing to remember is that leaders don’t start wars that they believe will be long, costly, and might end in their own defeat. Plenty of wars turn out that way, of course, but the leaders who begin them do so because they fool themselves into thinking the war will be quick, cheap, and successful. Before World War I, Germany’s leaders thought the Schlieffen Plan would allow them to defeat France and Russia in a couple of months, and Hitler had similar hopes for the blitzkrieg and organized the entire Nazi war machine on the assumption that the war would be brief. Japan knew it couldn’t win a long war against the United States, and the attack on Pearl Harbor was a desperate gamble that Tokyo hoped would shatter U.S. morale and convince Washington to give it a free hand in East Asia. Saddam Hussein didn’t think anyone would resist the seizure of Kuwait, and George W. Bush and the neocons (as well as Bolton) foolishly believed the Iraq War would be easy, short, and pay for itself.
In a democracy, leaders bent on war also must convince the public that rolling the “iron dice” of war, to quote German Chancellor Theobald von Bethmann-Hollweg in 1914, is necessary and wise. Congress abdicated its constitutional role to declare war a long time ago, which gives presidents a pretty free hand, but no president is likely to order the large-scale use of force (as opposed to drones or small-scale raids) if he believes the public is dead set against it. Instead, he and his team will go to great lengths to persuade the public to go along.
So, if a president and his advisors are looking to start a war, how will they sell it? Here are the five main arguments that hawks typically advance when seeking to justify a war. You might think of them as the Top Five Warning Signs We’re Going to War.
The danger is grave and growing. The basic logic behind preventive war is the assumption that war is coming and that it is better to fight now instead of later. Thus, Germany went to war in 1914 because it believed (incorrectly) that Russian power would soon eclipse its own, and the Bush administration attacked Iraq because it thought Saddam was hellbent on acquiring weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and the situation would be intolerable if he ever managed to do so. Accordingly, anyone seeking to start a war will try to convince the public that the United States is facing multiple adverse trends and that its deteriorating position can be reversed only via military action. The lesson? Watch for rhetoric about “gaps,” “red lines” “points of no return,” or “time is running out,” which imply the United States must act before it is too late.
It is therefore worrisome that the Trump administration insists that North Korea’s improving nuclear and missile capabilities constitute an existential threat that cannot be tolerated and other warmongers conjure up lurid fears of a new “Persian empire” that must be defeated before it takes over the whole region. Both statements imply that America’s security is running out--like sands in an hourglass--making war almost impossible to avoid.
Such dark warnings rest on little more than guesswork about the future, of course, and typically depend on worst-case assumptions about where current trends might lead. If the United States were scuttle the nuclear deal with Iran and Tehran eventually got nuclear weapons, for example, there’s no reason to think deterrence wouldn’t work as effectively as it did with other nuclear powers. Similarly, it is hardly obvious that North Korea’s growing nuclear and missile capabilities will inevitably lead it to become more aggressive--let alone threaten the United States directly. It’s just as likely that it will become more cooperative once it is no longer worried about U.S.-sponsored regime change. I’m not saying that would be the case, mind you, but it is as plausible as believing that acquiring WMD or enhanced missile capabilities would suddenly lead Pyongyang or Tehran to launch a vast imperial rampage. Because the future is always uncertain, fear of adverse circumstances that may never materialize is a poor justification for war and especially for a country that is as powerful, wealthy, and secure as the United States actually is. That is why German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck called preventive war “committing suicide for fear of death.”
Notice further that the logic of preventive war implicitly acknowledges that the United States is still far stronger and more secure than any of these adversaries and need not go to war from a sense of panic. Which brings me to No. 2.
War will be easy and cheap (but only if we act now). As noted above, nobody launches a war if he or she is certain it will be long, costly, or likely to end in defeat. Accordingly, anyone trying to make the case for war has to convince him or herself and the public that it will be easy and that victory will be both inevitable and cheap. In practice, this means persuading people that the costs to the United States will be negligible, the risks of escalation controllable, and the likely outcome easy to foresee.
What does that tell us to look out for? Well, the more that the administration talks about “limited options,” a “bloody nose” strike, the potency of air power, the ability to conduct “precision attacks” with no collateral damage, or other supposedly controllable war scenarios, the more worried you should be. Those are the signs that a government is convincing itself that it has lots of options that will wreak havoc on its foes but pose little danger to the country. And you should be especially concerned when those advocating war seem to be assuming that the enemy will behave exactly as they would like them to, instead of coming up with responses they didn’t anticipate. “The enemy gets a vote” is a familiar cliche but also one that hawks routinely dismiss when making the case for action.
War will solve all (or at least most) of our problems. Advocates for war typically promise that victory will solve lots of problems at once. Saddam thought invading Kuwait was a masterstroke that would eliminate one of his main creditors, increase Iraq’s GNP by billions of dollars overnight, enhance his leverage over Saudi Arabia, dampen domestic discontent, and give him the wherewithal to compete with a potentially more powerful Iran. Similarly, Bush and the neocons thought toppling Saddam would eliminate a potential aggressor, send a message to other would-be proliferators, restore U.S. credibility after 9/11, and began a process of democratization in the Middle East that would eventually mitigate the danger of Islamic terrorism.
Hawks also like to argue the flip side: A failure to act now (or soon) will have dire consequences. Not only will it allow the balance of power to shift against the United States (see #1), but it will also lead others to doubt the country’s resolve and question its credibility. In other words: If the United States uses force, other states will respect it, deterrence will be strengthened, and peace will spread far and wide. If it doesn’t act, by contrast, adversaries will be emboldened, allies enfeebled, and the world will descend into darkness.
The astonishing thing about such claims is how often they get recycled. No matter how many times the United States goes to war or uses force--and it has done a lot of both in recent decades--it’s never enough. The positive effects of vigorous never seem to last more than a few months--at least according to the hawks--and soon they are telling Americans that they have to blow something up again so that others will know they can and will.
The enemy is evil. Or crazy. Maybe both. If you want to lead a country into war, don’t forget to demonize your opponent. Portraying the conflict as a straightforward clash of competing interests isn’t enough, because if that were the case, the problem might be resolved via diplomacy and compromise rather than by military force. Accordingly, hawks go to great lengths to portray opponents as the embodiment of evil and to convince the public that the enemy is morally repugnant and unalterably hostile. After all, if a foreign government does some bad things, and if its hostility to America will never, ever change, then the only long-term solution is to get rid of it. As former Vice President Dick Cheney put it, “We don’t negotiate with evil. We defeat it.”
A second line of argument is the claim that America’s adversaries are irrational, fanatical aggressors that cannot be deterred by its superior military power, huge arsenal of sophisticated nuclear weapons, robust network of allies, and assorted economic tools. Thus, Iran’s leaders are routinely described as religious fanatics who would welcome martyrdom, and North Korea’s three Kims have been routinely depicted as bizarre, crazy, extremely bellicose, and therefore impossible to deter. Never mind that both regimes have repeatedly shown themselves to be obsessed not with martyrdom or ideology but rather with retaining power and staying alive. To make the case for war, it’s more effective to tell the public these folks are dangerously bonkers.
Yet when it suits them, hawks also tend to portray the enemy as smart and sensible, to make using force seem safe. A leader like Kim Jong Un is said to be too irrational to deter, which is why the United States must go after him. But hawks also argue that if America does decide to attack North Korea’s nuclear infrastructure, it will in fact be possible to deter him from retaliating against U.S. allies or against the United States itself. Those who favor attacking Iran use similar arguments: Iran’s leaders are supposedly irrational fanatics who could not be deterred if they ever got nuclear weapons, but they are also smart and sensible enough to sit quietly while the U.S. Air Force conducts a devastating bombing campaign throughout their country. Needless to say, when you see an openly contradictory argument like this, you know you are in the realm of pro-war propaganda rather than serious analysis.
Peace is unpatriotic. The final warning sign is when an administration starts wrapping itself in the flag and suggesting that skepticism about the use of force is a sign of insufficient patriotism. During the Vietnam War, Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon accused anti-war activists of giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and an administration eager to sell a war is bound to portray those opposing it as weak-willed, naive, or insufficiently committed to U.S. security. If Trump is contemplating war and prominent people start to challenge him, you’ll know by keeping a close eye on his Twitter feed.
As I’ve noted before, U.S. politicians’ present aversion to peace is puzzling. I’m a realist and not a pacifist, but a country whose global position is as favorable as the United States has an obvious interest in peace and stability and little interest in taking big risks for small gains. Unfortunately, after 27 years of being the indispensable nation, and 17 years of fighting the war on terror, Americans have become accustomed to presidents trying to solve complex strategic and political problems mostly by blowing stuff up. This approach hasn’t worked very well, but it is still the default response of the foreign-policy establishment. Just remember the outpouring of bipartisan support that Trump received when he fired a few dozen cruise missiles into Syria. It was a one-off gesture that did not affect the war there in the slightest, yet Republicans--and Democrats--hailed it as a sign that Trump was finally taking his presidential responsibilities seriously.
My point is that if this administration decides it wants to start a war, it will do everything it can to intimidate or marginalize skeptics. The most reliable way to do that is to impugn their patriotism, in the hope that everyone will have forgotten how much damage overzealous hawks have done in recent years.
So, if you see the Trump administration deploying any of the arguments I’ve just identified (and to be fair, it already has to some degree)--look out. What makes this tricky, however, is that an administration that didn’t want to go to war might still act as if it were itching for a fight, in the hope of persuading the other side to make concessions. But this is a dangerous gambit, either because the bluff can get called or because you can start believing your own propaganda and talk yourself into war by stages.
If Trump does choose war, where is it most likely to occur? I’d say Iran, for two reasons. First, North Korea already has nuclear weapons, and Iran has none, so the risks of war with the former are infinitely greater. Second, even a purely conventional war on the Korean Peninsula would make South Korea, Japan, China, and others very nervous; by contrast, America’s Middle East clients would be positively giddy if Trump succumbed to their blandishments and attacked Iran on their behalf. If Trump is eager to distract people from his other troubles, or is determined to compensate for those small hands of his, war with Iran makes a lot more sense than a war with North Korea.
Which is not to say that it makes much sense at all. I still think war with either country is unlikely because the United States has little to gain and much to lose by launching another war. And it shouldn’t take a genius to figure that out. But that’s pretty cold comfort because I’ve overestimated the intelligence, prudence, and judgment of U.S. leaders before. Sadly, sometimes very bad ideas get implemented anyway.

Undead - Extinction
The Globex Corporation thought they'd contained the infection. Well, they were wrong. The City was just the beginning. Within weeks, the virus had consumed the United States. Within months, the world. The virus didn't just wipe out human life. Lakes and rivers dried up, forests became deserts and whole continents were reduced to nothing more than barren wastelands. Slowly but surely, the Earth began to wither and die. What few survivors there were learned to keep on the move. We avoided major cities. If we stopped anyplace too long, they would be drawn to us. Only a few at first, but then more and more. A never-ending army of undead. For those of us left staying on the road seemed the only way to stay alive.
Part 1 Part 2
___________________
Driving through the sandy road goggles on to protect my eyes and a scarf around my nose and mouth a radio sitting on the top of my motorbike, listening to the radio looking out for any survivors that I could help in anyway that I can “This is KLKB. We have seven people here in need of urgent medical attention. We need help. This is KLKB. Can anyone hear us? Can anyone help us? Please?” a woman said on the radio driving up to the building they said they would be I stopped and got off walking in.
Holding up my gun I walked slowly through the colourless destroyed building, in one of the rooms are woman sat on a chair her back facing me walking around she saw me “My baby. Please. Please help my baby.” She said handing me her kid, I quickly put my gun away and held the kid while I moved the blanket to see, the baby was a doll, looking up at the woman she held a gun to me while a few more people came around me. I dropped the doll glaring at them “You bitch. You dropped my baby.” The woman said laughing as one of the guys grabbed my arm pulling me with them "We're surrounded. We need help. Can anyone hear us? The Can anyone help us? Please." The woman said “Works every time, Mama.” A guy said the guy holding me pushed me to a table “Let's see...what else she's packing.” He said as he moved my legs apart “What you got down there, fishy?” He said dragging his knife down, “I wouldn't do that.” I said “Shut your mouth! Relax!” he said undoing his trousers while he did that I kicked up connecting my boot with his jaw blood spitting out of his mouth as he fell to the floor “Eddie! Eddie! Eddie! Jesus Christ! He's dead!” the woman said sitting on the floor next to him, with that said I felt something hit me as I blacked out.
Waking up I was laying on the floor in a room with no windows or doors, looking up a hole was in the ceiling where the other people where “Think you're pretty smart, huh? Well, you'll see. There you go, bitch. I wouldn't want it to be over too fast! Open the cage! Let them loose.” The woman said as they opened the cage of four dead dog running after me, I jumped up and started running I jumped up on the wall as two of the dogs landed on a spike, noticing live wires I grabbed two and as one of the dogs jumped at me I tied the wires around the dog frying the dog as it fell down dead on the floor one last dog to deal with but instead of killing the dog I jumped out of the room running up the fallen roof as the dog ran up, I jumped on one of the pipes as the dog ran after the people who put me in this mess. Jumping back down I grabbed my weapons they took off me and left. Another reason why I should stop 'helping' people.
On the road two armed cars, one van, one ambulance, one bus and a truck Was driving along. “Hey, Namjoon, this is Jungkook. You got any smokes?” He asked “No.” Namjoon simple said Jungkook snorted “Like I'm supposed to believe that.” He said “Kook, would I lie to you?” Namjoon said laughing “L.J.” Jungkook called “Jeon Jungkook, how can I help you?” L.J. asked “Got any smokes?” Jungkook asked “No can do.” L.J said shaking his head “How about alternate?” “Sorry to say we're out of that too.”L.J said “You gotta be shitting me. Otto?” Jungkook said “Sorry, campers. Smoked the last of it back in Salt Lake.” Otto said “Damn.” Jungkook said “Yeah, people...” L.J said “Damn it.” Namjoon said “...it really is the end of the world.” L.J said.
Looking down the scope of the gun in my hand I looked at the dead person seeing his name tag “Sorry about this, Stevie.” I said shooting it in the head and walking over to see if there is any petrol, after a while I walked in to the shop seeing a door with flys around it, I walked to it with a gun in my hand opening the door I put my hand over my nose and mouth to stop the horrible smell as a dead person was hanging with a rope around her neck, noticing a book on the floor I grabbed it and ran back to my motorbike getting on it with the small book in my pocket. The sun set as I made a little camp for my self ready to settle down for the night, reading through the book I found I noticed that there maybe a place where there’s no infection “This is Jeon Jungkook's convoy, broadcasting for any survivors. Is anybody out there? Broadcasting for any survivors. Is anybody out there? This is Jeon Jungkook's convoy, broadcasting for any survivors. Is anybody out there?” the radio said as I turned it off and went to sleep.
As the group settled down Jungkook walked in to the van “This is Jeon Jungkook's convoy. Location, the Desert Trail Motel. Broadcasting for any survivors. Is there anybody in there? Broadcasting for any survivors. Is there anybody in there?” the guy said “Keep trying, Mikey.” Jungkook said “Is there anyone alive in there? Please respond.” Mikey said in to the radio. Namjoon and L.J got out of the cars “seems quite.” L.J. said “Yeah, don't they always?” Namjoon said looking around “Kook. Looks clear. Shall we go in?” Namjoon asked “It's your call, guys.” Jungkook called out to the two “Come on. Let's go.” L.J said as they walked in to the motel “I'm gonna get me a room. I'll take a waterbed, a Jacuzzi...and I'm gonna rent me a porno.” L.J said while Namjoon laughed as they walked through the rooms L.J turned around as an undead jumped out pushing him on the floor, Namjoon came in shooting the head “What happened? You two okay?” Jungkook asked “Yeah. It's all clear.” Namjoon said helping L.J up from the floor. As L.J sat on one of the chairs a woman walked in “Somebody need my help?” she said “It's nothing. But if you insist....” L.J said “That's right. So sit back and relax.” She said “Spread out. Look for anything of use. Gas, food, ammo. You know the drill.” Jungkook called out “You like playing rough, huh?” the woman said “Oh, I've had worse.” L.J. said “I'm sure.” She said smirking “But you've always been gentle with me, Betty.” L.J said “Oh, God. I'm leaving.” Namjoon said walking away “So, what do we say, dinner at my place tonight?” Betty said “Oh, I'm there.” L.J said “Hey, Betty! Over here!” someone said as L.J was left on the seat.
Jungkook walked over to Otto giving out food for the group “Pork and beans. I'll get some peaches for the little one there. There you go. It's asparagus.” Otto said “Thanks.” “For you...cat food.” Otto said to the little kid “Just kidding. It's pork and beans.” He said laughing “Hey.” Jungkook said “What's this, huh?” Jungkook asked as he got giving a can “Soup. Cream of mushroom.” Otto said “Bullshit.” Jungkook said opening the can “I think that's pork and beans too.” Otto said “Thanks, man.” “I'll be damned.” Jungkook said looking in “Asparagus.” Otto said “How do you do that?” Jungkook asked “Just one of my skills. It's a dying art, unfortunately. This is the last of it. I think it's some kind of fruit.” Otton said “Thanks, Otto.” “Sorry, that's all we have. Fruit. You want some fruit?” As Jungkook walked over to the petrol station “Did you check out the gas station?” Jungkook asked “Yep, it's bone-dry.” The guy said “Well, how we looking here?” Jungkook asked “Well, Jungkook, if we can run these trucks on rust we're looking pretty good.” The guy said “All right.” Jungkook said walking up to Mikey “Hey, Perimeter up yet?” Jungkook asked “It's almost done.” Mikey said “Who's out there?” Jungkook asked “Kim.” He replied “Hey, Namjoon.” Jungkook called “Jungkook.” Namjoon said “All that smoking is slowing you down. Get your ass in gear, old man. I want my perimeter up.” Jungkook said “Last sentinel in place.” Namjoon said “Perimeter's up and running. All motion sensors online. Cameras 1 00 percent.” Mikey said as Jungkook nodded and walked off. As the night set in so did a sand storm “Storm's coming! Let's start packing it up and move it inside. Come on, kids, let's go! Hurry up!” Jungkook yelled getting everyone safely inside the cars “Get back in the bus.” Otto said “Put this fire out.” Jungkook said as everyone got safe inside.
Waking up everything around me was floating as I realised they all came crashing down “Shit” I said laying back down, grabbing the radio I put it back on “This is Jeon Jungkook's convoy. Location, the Desert Trail Motel. Lat. 35, long. 1 14. Calling any survivors. This is Jeon Jungkook's convoy. Location, the Desert Trail Motel. Lat. 35, long. 1 1 4. Calling any survivors. Activate Number 87.” Turning it back off, looking up at the sky a huge flock of birds went over to the direction of the group Jeon Jungkook convoy “Shit.” I said again packing everything away and following the birds.
Jungkook layed in the front seats of his car with his hat over his face “Jungkook!” he heard getting up quickly he looked around “What? What the hell?” Jungkook said as he looked around out of the car as a huge flock of crows around the group “Oh, God. Namjoon.” Jungkook said through the radio “I see them.” Namjoon said looking around “Everybody stay in your trucks.” Jungkook said to everyone “What's going on?” L.J. said also looking around “Roll up the windows and keep quiet.” Jungkook said “Okay, close the windows up.” Otto said to everyone in the bus “What's wrong with their eyes?” the teen boy in Jungkook truck asked him “They've been feeding on infected flesh.” Jungkook said starting up his truck “Fire it up. Let's get out of here.” Jungkook said “That's a hell of an idea.” Namjoon said starting his truck “Lock and load.” L.J said “We're stuck!” Betty said “Hell, no, let's get out of here. Let's head for the bus, come on.” L.J said getting out of the ambulance and heading for the bus the crows circled them pecking at them “Come on! Go! Go!” L.J said to Betty “Come on, get in!” Otto said opening the bus door “Come on, come on, come on.” As L.J and Betty got safely on the bus they started moving but as the birds covered the window Otto drove in to a poll “Jungkook!” someone yelled Jungkook looked at the bus “Damn it. Mikey, Namjoon, we have to evac the bus.” Jungkook said “You got it.” As Namjoon, Mikey and Jungkook got out of the trucks and help get everyone else to a safe spot “Hold it!” “Come on, move!” “Keep moving!” “Come on! Go! Go! Go! Come on!” the window to the bus broke “Betty!” “Go! Just go! Get out of here, Betty! Go!” “Move! Move! Move!” “Go!” “Betty! Betty!” “L.J., hurry up!” “Come with me!” “Come on! Come on! Betty! Betty! No! Betty!” as the crows entered the bus they all pecked Betty who was the last in the bus as they came to her she closed the door trapping her and the crows in the bus, as the rest got safely in the van Jungkook closed the doors “Go! Go! Go!” Namjoon yelled as he looked around while one of the guys went on top of the other van that had a fire gun on top, turning it on the guy tried to burn the crows but the gun was to powerful as the fire went straight to a little kid that was wondering around trying to find a safe place, Namjoon ran to the kid and put his body in front of the kids protecting the kid at that moment as the fire got to Namjoon the fire went around him like a shield was between him and the fire, as Namjoon looked up he saw a familiar face Y/N stood there pupil’s wide as she looked at the fire causing the fire to rise up to the sky and burning all the crows. Namjoon let the kid run off as he walked slowly to Y/N as they smiled at each other as he was in front of her she fainted while he caught her.
“Dr. Isaacs. Another spike in alpha and beta waves detected. Forty-five recent probability that this is Project Y/N. Triangulate.” “Find her location. Impressive. If it is her, her development is extraordinary. Her powers would appear to have grown at a geometric rate since her escape from the Detroit facility.”

Waking up I looked around and saw I was on a sofa looking up I see a young boy about fifteen “Hi.” I said smiling at him “Hey.” He said back looking down at my wrist I saw a bracelet that wasn’t there before “This belong to you?” I asked he nodded “I gave it to you last night. For luck.” He said smiling “Thank you. What's your name?” I asked “K-Mart. It's where they found me. Jungkook and the other....A few years back.” He said I raised an eyebrow “Do you have another name?” I asked he shock his head “Never liked it. Everyone I knew was dead...so seemed like time for a change.” He said I nodded my head in understanding. Walking outside with K-Mart people where standing in a line in front of a grave for people they lost “Anyone want to say something?” One of them said I walked over to Namjoon “Y/n, this is Jeon Jungkook. he's the one who put this convoy together.” Namjoon said Jungkook put his hand up to shake my hand “Thank you so much for your help.” He said “Jungkook!” someone yelled Jungkook looked back then looking back at me “Excuse me. I have things I have to attend to.” He said walking away, I looked back at Namjoon “In the last six months, he lost half of the convoy. Pretty soon there'll be more of us dead than alive. Y/n, what happened to you? Why did you leave after Detroit?” He asked “I didn't have a choice. They were using me.” I said “What do you mean?” He asked “They were tracking me. I couldn't be around Any of you. I would've gotten you all killed.” I said “That's why you disappeared?” He asked “Broke into an Globex facility and hacked into their computers. downloaded the satellite trajectories and stayed off the grid.” I said “And after the world ended? Why stay out there alone?” Namjoon asked “It's just safer if I'm not around people.” I said “Why'd you come back?” He asked “Damn! What time is it?” I asked looking at the sky “Chase, what time is it?” Namjoon yelled up to a guy on top of a truck “Well, Namjoon, it is 1 2:1 4. Why? You got somewhere you gotta be?” He asked Namjoon looked at me “Guess I'm just being paranoid.” I said laughing Namjoon hugged me “Welcome home.” He said.
Standing far from the camp I was looking out to the sandy landscape Jungkook walked up to me “Got a minute?” He asked I turned around to look at him “Yeah.” I said “Everyone is grateful for you helping us out.” He said “But how long am I gonna stay?” I asked “Don't get me wrong. We really are grateful. They're all talking about what you did. And they're scared.” He said looking back at his camp “I don't blame them. People have a habit of dying around me.” I said looking down at the floor “Not just you.” Jungkook said putting a hand on my shoulder looking up at him, he smiled and walked away.
Sitting around a map with the others I showed them the book I found “These transmissions are the best indication of life we've seen in months.” Mikey said looking through the book “Alaska?” Jungkook asked “We have to check it out. We can't just ignore it.” Namjoon said “Any idea what kind of journey that would be?” Jungkook asked “Yeah. A long one.” I said “And at the end of it, what? You have no guarantee there's even anyone alive up there.” Jungkook said “These transmissions say that—" mikey started but Jungkook cut in “They're dated six months ago. How many radio broadcasts have we responded to? How many times have we got there too late?” Jungkook said “The transmissions say that there's no infection up there. It's isolated. Safe.” I said “This convoy trusts me with their lives. These people don't need pipe dreams.” Jungkook said “Maybe that's exactly what they need.” I told him “Look at them, Jungkook. Six months ago, there were 50 of us, then 40, now there's less than 30. They're starting to give up. They need some kind of hope.” Namjoon said to Jungkook. Jungkook stood on one of the vans “We have a decision to make. And it's too big, it's too important for me to make for you. There's a chance there are survivors.” Jungkook said “Where?” someone asked “In Alaska. There is a chance...that the infection hasn't reached that far. But we don't know for sure. So we have a choice. We stay as we are.....or we try for Alaska.” Jungkook asked “For Alaska.” He asked as everyone raised there hands “Alaska.” Jungkook nodding his head walking up to me “I hope you're right.” He said walking off.
While we all sat around the fire “The food's virtually gone and the truck's running on empty.” Otto said “I've got half a tank of gas. That's it.” Mikey said “Chase?” asked Jungkook “Shit, I don't even have empty.” Chase said “I got enough for a hundred miles, tops. If we're gonna make this trip, we'll need to resupply.” I said “Yep. These are our options. The nearest, safest bet is right there.” Jungkook said pointing at the map “No, it's empty. I tried that.” I said “Then, well, maybe....We could try this-“ Namjoon said I cut him off “-Vegas. It's the only place we're sure to find gas and supplies.” I said “There's a reason for that. Vegas is too dangerous. It's crawling with them sons of bitches.” Jungkook said “We've drained every small town dry over the last six months. We have to hit a big city.” I said “she's right. Vegas, it's our only bet.” Jungkook said sighing.
Driving through to Vegas in the truck chase and L.J were sitting in “Hey. You all right?” Chase asked “Yeah, I'm fine. Them pork and beans, they lethal. I don't see how you cowboys do it.” L.J asked laughing “Years of practice.” Chase laughed as well. I was in the front passenger seat while Jungkook drove and K-Mart sat in the back as we got to Vegas we all stopped in shock “Oh, my God. What happened to it?” K-Mart asked “The desert must have taken it back. Five years. No one to keep the sand back.” I said getting out of the van walking around “It's empty. No undead. Nothing.” Jungkook said walking up next to me “Those birds must have moved through the city block by block. Picked it clean.” I said “I don't see any truck stops. Where are they?” Namjoon asked looking around “There. Valet parking at the casino up ahead. There's gas pumps in there.” L.J said also walking up to us “Now, how do you know that?” Jungkook asked “I dropped two G's back in the day here.” L.J said “You lost $2000?” Chase said shaking his head in disbelief.
Walking to the crate that was in the way looking at it “Damn it. Spread them out! We're gonna have to move it. All right, Chase, I need a lookout! Up there.” Jungkook said pointing at the Eiffel Tower “Great. Climb the Eiffel Tower with a high-powered rifle. A few years ago, that would've caused a stir. Well, let the good times roll.” Chase said starting to climb “Let's get this done. Get the hell out of here. Mikey, get the winch.” Jungkook said “Yeah.” Mikey said going to his van “Namjoon.” Jungkook said getting his attention “Wait. Get back!” I said as I heard noises “Namjoon, cover me!” I said as I lifted my gun aiming at the crate, as we all stood in silence the crate door fell to the ground as we waited until a group of undead came running out “Go! Move!” I yelled as I ran towards the undead while shooting trying to get as many as I can. Jungkook ran to the van “Just get to the back and stay quiet.” He said to everyone who didn’t have a weapon “Go! Now! Go!” as both sides started to lose a big number of undead and survivors “Get down!” we also started to run out of ammo.
“She really is magnificent. When she's dead, make sure you move in fast. I need a sample of her blood while it's still warm. shut her down.” The Globex Doctor said watching Y/N fight through the undead.
The undead grabbed Mikey as Jungkook ran towards them shooting all the undead “Mikey! Hey! Mikey! No! No!” Jungkook yelled as he finally got up to him as Mikey layed dead on the floor “shit” he said walking off. As I ran up I stopped not sure why but I couldn’t move trying to fight it I tried to move.
As L.J stood in front of K-Mart to protect him “Give me your hand!” L.J said helping K-Mart out from underneath the van from where he was hiding “Run! Go! Go! Run! Let's go!” L.J said as he turned around and got bit by one of the undead “L.J.! L.J.” K-Mart yelled as Namjoon ran up and stabbed the undead “you ok?” Namjoon asked L.J nodded his head as they carried on fighting. As K-Mart saw Y/N run up some stairs he followed her.
As the Globex team that where watching Y/N on the computer they had the doctor looked at them “What is it?” the doctor asked “Satellite. Some kind of malfunction.” The guy said “How long?” the doctor asked “New feed coming online in 15 seconds.” The guy said “Online in three, two....Now.” He said “Where the hell is she going?” the doctor asked as Y/N ran up some stairs until she was on the roof of the building where the Globex company has their based to watch Y/N “Shut her down!” the doctor yelled running to a helicopter “She's still coming!” the guy said turning around “Oh, shit. You son of a—” the guy got cut off as Y/N shoot him. Running out of the tent Y/N aimed her gun to the helicopter “Back to base!” the doctor yelled flying higher “Why didn't you shoot?” K-Mart asked running up to her “Because we're not driving to Alaska. I want that helicopter intact. Let's go look at the computer, see where that chopper's headed.” She said.
Looking where the helicopter landed there was a small little run down cottage with a fence around to stop the undead but also around the fence was undead trying to break in hundreds of them, I looked up to the rest of the group the ones left and smiled “Good thing we like a challenge.” Namjoon laughed nodding his head while L.J smiled faintly and then coiffed up blood “Hold on. Hold on. They have the anti-virus in there. Just hold on.” I said putting my hand on L.Js shoulder “It's too late, and you know it. Besides, you need a way to get in there. And I have an idea.” L.J said walking to chase’s petrol truck. We all got ready in the other vans ready to be quick to the helicopter driving up next to L.J he looked at me “You keep them safe, huh?” He said I nodded “You got it. L.J” I began but he cut me off “Save it. You just promise me one thing. When you get down there....” I cut him off already knowing what he wanted “Consider it done.” I said as he started driving “Wish I had a smoke.” He said, he huffed as he put his foot down driving full speed in to the fence knocking over the truck “Fuck!” he said getting out the lighter to set the bomb off looking over he spots a smoke “I'll be damned.” He said grabbing it “Chase, you sneaky son of a bitch.” He said putting it in his mouth and lighting it. As the undead started to climb in he freaked “Oh, hell. Come on.” He said as the bomb finally went off causing a huge explosion, at that Jungkook, Namjoon and I stepped on the gas to get safely to the helicopter “Get the kids out quickly!” Jungkook yelled “Go!” Namjoon yelled helping people on the helicopter “Run! Run! Hurry up!” I yelled getting everyone out of the vans “Okay. Go! Go! Go! Take him!” I said picking up the little boy and handing him over to Namjoon “You're not coming?” K-Mart asked I shocked my head “Take care of the others.” I told him as he nodded trying to keep a brave face I looked at Namjoon as he saluted me I laughed and saluted back looking at Jungkook last he smiled at me I could see he was starting to cry “thank you” he said I smiled at him as they started the helicopter I went off with the last thing I heard was Namjoon’s voice “Don’t worry she knows what she’s doing” he said I laughed to myself “I wish I did Namjoon, I wish I did” I said walking in to the run down cottage.
Finding a lift going down I pressed one of the buttons as it started moving. Getting out I looked around a hologram showing up I jumped “I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. I am the artificial intelligence—" it started to say I quickly cut it off “I know what you are. I knew your sister. She was a homicidal bitch.” I said referring to the Hive that started all this mess, the hologram started talking again “My sister computer was merely following the most logical path for the preservation of human life.” It said “Yeah. Kill a few, save a lot. So, what happened here?” I said looking around “Dr. Isaacs returned in an infected state. He was bitten by a creature that had been treated with a newly developed serum. A serum derived from your blood. The resulting infection has caused massive mutation.” It said “My blood?” I asked “Your blood has bonded with the virus. Dr. Isaacs correctly deduced......that it could be used to destroy the biohazard for good.” It said “You mean my blood is the cure for all this?” I asked “Correct.” It said “So why are you helping me?” I asked “Your blood is pure, and this facility contains all of the equipment you will require to synthesize a cure.” It said again “You mean this could all end?” I asked in disbelief “Correct. There is, however a small problem. I have him contained in the lower levels but I cannot hold him there for much longer.” It said I nodded “All right, let's go.” I said walking off “Y/N Good luck.” It said.
Walking around the lower level of the place I noticed in shock that there was a clone of me asleep in a container type thing, I put my hand to it as the clone opened it eyes and freaked out falling on to the floor not being able to breathe, I ran up to it as it looked at me then closed it’s eyes as it now layed dead on the floor (or so I thought), pulling my jacket off I layed it on top off the clone until I felt a hand pick me up looking at the person no monster in front of me was Dr Isaacs as he through me in to a wall collapsing on the floor, getting up quickly we started hitting each other nether of us doing damage to the other well we did bit everytime he healed, I kicked him through a wall leading to a familiar room the mansion I awoke in before entering the hive, as I was not focusing Isaacs took that as an opportunity to hit me again once again leading me to other part of the room from the Hive, it was a long corridor the one where most of the Globex soldiers got sliced by the lasers, still laying on the floor wounded but still not dead I started laughing “You can't kill me. I've told you....I can't die.” Isaacs said making me laugh louder “No. For so long, I thought you were the future. I was wrong. I am the future.” He said again I stopped laughing glaring up at him “No. You're just......another asshole. And we're both gonna die down here.” I said as I saw the laser come at the both of us slicing Isaacs in to pieces I closed my eyes as it came towards me but I felt nothing opening them again the laser shut off, walking out the door where the controls were for the laser I saw the clone “Yeah, you're the future, all right.” it said looking at me smiling, I smiled back and went to find the main computer to contact the rest of the Globex company and at perfect timing they were having a meeting “All attempts to contact the North American facility continue to fail. How long have they been off the air?” One guy asked “Seventeen hours. We must consider them lost. But our plans remain unchanged. All data will be transferred to this facility...and the research will continue under my personal supervision. I expect results within one month.” Another guy said this is were I couldn’t help myself I signed in to speak to them “You won't have to wait that long, boys. Because I'm coming for you. And......I'm gonna be bringing a few of my friends. You're just......another asshole.” I said braking the computer and looking around at the other clones I could make to finally bring down the Globex Corporation.
To be continued....

'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 4, Episode 14 Review: 'MM 54'
Erik Kain
Sunday night's episode of Fear The Walking Dead solidifies my discontent with the show. I am annoyed deeply and thoroughly and I'm not sure there's any coming back at this point. I am writing a eulogy for Fear, a show that, from time to time, was actually pretty good.
But mistakes have been made. Grave errors. The first of these was making Morgan the new "lead" and having Lennie James replace Kim Dickens. Madison was not my favorite character but at least she made sense in this show. I didn't always like how she was written, and even in her best season---Season 3---there was a bit too much "she's so tough" exposition from all the other characters in the show.
Despite all that, Madison anchored Fear and gave it direction. It was a story about her and her kids, Nick and Alicia, and now it's not. That's a little bit like The Walking Dead, a story ostensibly about Rick and his son, Carl. Now it's not, with Carl prematurely written off the show last season and Rick on his way out in Season 9. The question becomes, what are the stories these shows are trying to tell?
If The Walking Dead is about the Grimes family and that family is killed off, why go on with The Walking Dead? It's like trying to continue Breaking Bad without Walter or Jesse. The story is over, let it die.

Same with Fear, unless the showrunners have the guts to make this Alicia's story. They don't, of course. Scott Gimple is in charge of both shows now and his fingerprints are everywhere. Morgan is the first mistake in this equation. He's a fine secondary character, a good pacifistic voice in Rick's ear on TWD, and even interesting at times on Fear especially early on. But he's not a leading man. Morgan just isn't that character, and this season is suffering badly for it.
For instance, Morgan takes center stage in Episode 14, 'MM 54.' He is blamed for getting them into the mess with Martha, the new bad guy (whose backstory this episode was lame and unconvincing.) Morgan is blamed and then tasked with finding a solution. His solution is to go to a hospital in what appears to be Austin, TX. The hospital is unsurprisingly swarming with the undead. They find a safe area but soon the zombies break through and they have to escape.
So, for some utterly inexplicable reason, everyone turns to Morgan again. It's like nobody else in this group has any ideas about anything. Nobody was capable of problem solving or thinking on their feet before Morgan showed up. So he needs to come up with the idea by himself. And he suggests going up to the roof which they achieve by having Al turn on the generators and going up the elevators. Because for some reason the roof is the easiest place to escape from.

But really, why keep pinning stuff on Morgan? It's so unnatural and forced. And the dialogue. What is up with the dialogue? After the painfully obnoxious brewer, Jim, is bitten (thank god we don't have to listen to him complain any more) June goes up to Morgan and tries to console him, as though Jim's bite is once again Morgan's fault. "He asked me to save him," Morgan says glumly.
Oh good grief, just shut up Morgan. Whoever thinks this is how people act needs to be booted from the writer's room. None of these people have any kind of real connection to one another. Nobody cares about Jim. The first time Morgan saved him he complained that it took too long. Nobody is shedding tears at this point. And it's not Morgan's fault that this guy is so incompetent. Morgan doesn't need to be a martyr/saint 24/7. Or maybe he shouldn't be the central character in the first place!
In any case, they're stuck on the roof like some bad doppelganger of The Walking Dead's first season when Rick and crew were stuck on a roof in Atlanta. Meanwhile, Charlie and Alicia have given up searching for their friends (acquaintances?) because, as Alicia points out, they could be anywhere or they could be dead and the search could just get them dead also. So she's taking Charlie to the beach but instead they find a flooded area where, yeah, of course they find John and Strand. Of course they do. Why wouldn't they? After all, Texas is a tiny state and you're bound to run into friends once they're separated and...okay, I'm sorry, it's just so bad.
It's just so consistently bad at this point. I miss Season 3.

Scattered Thoughts
Like I alluded to above, Martha's backstory was terrible. So she lost somebody and then went crazy by herself for the next...five years? Yeah right. I'm sure she survived that entire time on her own never running into anyone else until the truckers came by. Never lost a pound that whole time either.
Also, you'd think maybe the super organized truckers that Polar Bear had running supply drops would, I dunno, figure out someone was targeting them and try to do something about it. Maybe. Just a thought.
I'm kind of sick of these same confrontations. Sure Martha is a new kind of crazy, but these endless conflicts with crazy people are ridiculous and annoying. At least Season 3 had a genuinely complex pair of antagonists in Otto and Troy.
Where is Daniel? Maybe Ruben Blades is thinking twice about coming back. He was great when he showed up last season but maybe it's time to hang up the hat.
The show has too many characters at this point anyways. We need to kill off more than just Jim. The two trucker/thieves need to go. Luciana is still utterly pointless. Slim down the cast and make it about Alicia's journey.
And for the love of god stop constantly separating the cast for contrived reasons just so that the entire story can be about them getting back together. It's just amateurish plotting.

Fear the Walking Dead (S03E03) TEOTWAWKI Airdate: June 11, 2017 @amc @amc-walking-dead Ratings: 2.504 Million :: 1.02 18-49 Demo Share Score: 7.25/10 @amc-fearthewalkingdead TVTime/FB/Twitter/Tumblr/IG/Path: @SpotlightSaga **********SPOILERS BELOW********** Ever start watching an episode and ask yourself if what you are watching is even the right series? That's how 'TEOTWAWKI' kicks off FearTWD's 3x03, in a bit of a complete mindfuck... And since that's exactly how we like our horror, I gotta say that this is exactly what we want from creators Robert Kirkman & Dave Erickson when it comes to this series. S3 started off with a 2-parter, the first of which was a complete mess... It did its job however and quickly moved the pieces and characters of a show that had felt largely displaced since the S2 mid-season finale, when all the characters were quite literally separated and repositioned. Part 2 raised the stakes and showed a new leader emerging to the family forefront. No not Jeremiah Otto (Dayton Callie), tho Jeremiah is quite the enthralling question mark with tension radiating from his being, unmatched to any other current character on the show... The reference belongs to Madison (Kim Dickens) who has grown from meek, frightened wannabe-humanitarian in S1 & S2 to strong, focused, matriarch at the start of S3. Her switch is so refreshing, it reminds me of my favorite aspect of TWD Universe, with the evolution of Carol over the course of 7-Seasons... Without her I'm not sure I'd keep coming back to the show again and again through rough patches of writing and that spacious chapterized-style storytelling that TWD has adopted and clung onto so tightly. FearTWD is no different, it's shown us that it can go up & down and back & forth, but that the viewer should show allegiance, because the reward is greater than the risk... The slow-burn and psychological & sociological heavy emphasis creates compelling television, period. Here we are, and in just 3-episodes it feels like like FTWD has literally leaped across the Grand Canyon. The set-up is REAL. The writers and creators, this episode specifically written by S1 'Revenge' contributor Ryan Scott, have positioned Matriarch vs Patriarch, or at least that's what I'm begging for it to eventually come down to. Nick (Frank Dillane) remains the family wild card, but seems to fall in line under the sudden soft-motherly authoritarian switch Madison has embraced, even attempting to sway Luciana to stay put and stick to the plan that Madison is forming. After all, 'some plan' is better than roaming with 'no plan', Nick should be very well aware of this firsthand. Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) remains her mother's faithful, running off to what her mother thought was a Christian Rock band/teen bible study group. Alicia quickly finds out that Gretchen Trimbol's (Rae Gray) Bible Band is really an angsty get-together that resembles the most normal thing to teen life Alicia has probably seen in years, maybe ever. They smoke bongs and center their group in a basement that oddly resembles the one of 'That 70's Show', placing a zombie head in a birdcage named Jeff in the middle of their teenage pow-wow... Just consider him their post-apocalyptic, living-dead, magic 8-Ball... Only Jeff doesn't tell them their futures, but they do joke and speak for Jeff, which I can see taking a very hard and disturbing left turn. Sure, it's almost relieving and funny in a way for Alicia now, but there's something significantly unsettling about this whole picture. Teenagers can be dangerous, they haven't developed a good sense of empathy yet, which makes them borderline sociopathic... And in this environment, that's a terrifying thought. While the teenagers and Jeremiah Otto gain steam in the 'potential threat' department, Troy (Daniel Sharman) almost seems to be losing his menacing edge... Proving once more that where you start out in the TWD Universe isn't where you necessarily end up. That's not to say that Troy won't have some sort of relapse and engage in a psychotic break, but his almost overkill 'Dudley Do-Right' brother, Jake (Sam Underwood), and the revealing of the boys' now deceased, drunkard mother, Tracy Otto (Emma Caulfield), paints a picture of two boys that withstood damage and went separate ways in terms of psychological consequences. If one is ying and the other is yang, then underneath their surface lies an opposite of their light and dark essences... Meaning, I don't necessarily expect these two to stay in the positions that they currently hold forever. If anything, Jake is far more passionately devoted to his father than Troy. This may actually prove useful to Madison and her clan somewhere down the line. Irony can always be expected and absorbed in the realm of post apocalyptic, psychological horror. Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) is basically on another planet, riding around, searching for someone he shouldn't be... His former associate, Dante (Jason Manuel Olazabal). Strand has been running scheme after scheme since losing his money in Katrina and not all of his financial victims fell for his deep, silky voice and natural charisma like his late partner, Thomas. Dante was basically waiting for the man to show up, clearly excitable and boisterous on his arrival, showing off his ruthless tactics and liquid currency then threatening to throw him over a large dam and then actually throwing him in a cage. Remember folks, if a character doesn't die on screen, then they are most likely still alive. I've heard a lot of talk about Daniel being some kind of mirage, that's clearly not the case. I would have preferred to see some sort of fire damage to Daniel's face or body, though we may see signs of that later, but I guess showing that would immediately ruin the excitement and mystery of Daniel's sudden reappearance. FTWD continues to move into the right direction, now slowly positioning characters into their natural positions instead of tossing them where they need to go as quickly as possible as shown in the S3 opener. There's a lot of talk about ratings, which I have included at the top of the review. While it's true that FTWD has slowly tapered off from a massive start in S1, it's still doing quite well for a show on cable. It remains AMC's 2nd highest rated series on the network. Just because a show doesn't get TWD like numbers, doesn't mean that it isn't successful. It looks to me like FTWD has found its cushion, so to speak, and will most likely waver slightly above & below this current number, barring premieres and finales. Even dropping a few more points in the coveted 18-49 demo will not hurt this series one bit. FearTWD carries on...

What We’re Learning – 7-13 April
Learning April 7-13 2018
7 – Saturday – I got groceries and the boys went to a Kids’ Deployment Line. You can read about their experience here, and grocery shopping went the same except I got extra things for the toddler we are fostering. We will be picking him up Monday.
8 – Sunday – We went to church at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church. It was our second visit there, and we wanted to try out their Sunday School. Price and Wesley went to their classes, but we couldn’t find an adult class for the rest of us. Ron and I think we are going to join their class for couples, but their Young Adult class (for Chyna) meets on Sunday evenings and they don’t have a traditional class yet. We also met the pastor who will be moving to their church in July, and he said they would be starting a lot more activities for young adults. So for now, we will continue attending here and try out their Sunday school classes. After church Ron and I went to the Air and Space Museum because we haven’t had a chance to look around at everything. It was nice to just get to walk around and take our time looking at things without having to wonder where the kids are and if they’re ready to leave.
9 – Monday – Monday was really hectic… Price and I finished our babysitting job, Wesley had piano and gymnastics, and we picked up E and brought him to our house for the first time.
10 – Tuesday – E had a checkup. He is 2 years old and they thought he needed to be evaluated for speech therapy. His speech is a little behind, but not enough that they recommend services, so we just keep trying to learn how he says certain words and make sure he understands what we are saying. We are all having a great time getting to know him and play with him.
11 – Wednesday – 4-H Leader meeting, piano for Wesley, and Dgroup for Me today. It was a good day with lots of playing outside for E!
12 – Thursday – I took E grocery shopping after taking him to play at the play area in the library on base. It is great for toddlers and after he realized I wasn’t leaving him, he played really well.
13 – Friday – SNOW, SNOW, and more SNOW!
Listening
Here are the things our family is listening to. I’m either listening by myself or with anyone who happens to be around while I’m listening. I am going to do a more detailed post just about the podcasts that I love listening to. This is just a quick list of the podcasts that I listened to this week(usually while I’m cooking or when I’m driving and recently while I’m waiting for E to fall asleep at nap-time).
Podcasts:
Presidential Podcast – This one has an episode for each US President. They were published in 2016, so I’m catching up… I listened to the episodes about Garfield, Arthur, Cleveland, Harrison, McKinley, Roosevelt, Taft, Wilson, Harding…
The most memorable one was Harding. I had no idea about all of his affairs or that he had no problem with everyone knowing about them. Including a 15 year affair with his best friend’s wife. CRAZINESS! I have absolutely no respect for him or anything that he did because if you are dishonest in your marriage, then I’m assuming you are dishonest in all aspects of your life. The craziest quote from the podcast is Harding talking to the press… THE PRESS!! and he said, “it’s a good thing I’m not a woman or I would be pregnant all the time… I just can’t say no!” SERIOUSLY!?!?! This man is despicable!
The Bible Project has a podcast where they discuss topics that they make youtube videos about. I’m going back to the beginning of their podcasts to catch up, so these are old ones that I’m just discovering… I love how they make me think and change the way I think about things in the bible and the new things I learn. I listened to the Wisdom Writings, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes Part 1, Ecclesiastes Part 2, God and Money,
Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me (John Kasich)
I love this podcast because it makes me laugh every time. John Kasich is the governor of Ohio and maybe putting his name in to run for President. It was weird to hear people talking about Presidential elections again.
Relevant – This week was just as good as usual.
Andy Stanley – I love listening to him preach. He
Read Aloud Revival –
Reading Aloud to 8-12 years old – I just discovered this podcast, and I bought her new book and read it. It’s great, and I always love hearing about new books… especially children’s books.
Stuff You Missed in History Class
I listen to nearly every one of these… if it’s something I know I’m not interested in, I skip it, but for the most part, I love them.
Henry “Box” Brown – if you don’t know the story of this man, you should listen to this podcast or at least do a google search. He was a slave and came up with the idea of mailing himself to a free state. Someone helped him get in a box, nailed it shut, and mailed him. He made it and was free. It is a fantastic story.
Eldridge Gerry (Mandering) – This is the story of how gerrymandering got its name. It was really interesting and I enjoyed learning something I didn’t know anything about.
Stuff You Should Know
Landmines – I didn’t realize the impact that landmines still have on communities and people around the world. It was cool to hear about some of the ways people are coming up with to find and destroy landmines.
Paramedics – I almost skipped this episode, but I’m glad I didn’t. I didn’t know that EMTs can’t break the skin of a person… even to give a shot. And I’ve never thought about it, but paramedics always walk up to a scene. They do this so they can bring calm to the situation and assess the situation as they approach,
Sorta Awesome
100 Ways to Save Money – This was a good episode where Meg interviews someone who has just written a book about quick and easy ways to save money to be able to stay home, or even just to save some money while you are home.
Satellite Sisters – I love this podcast for all of the laughs and just joy that I get from listening.
The Productive Woman
I haven’t been listening to this podcast very long, but I like that I learn something every time I listen. She is nothing like me, but the productivity things she discusses always show me something I can learn from it. This episode was about cleaning up your email and some good ideas for handling your email and not letting your email handle you.
Part-Time Genius
I recently added this podcast as well, and I really like how short it is and I always learn something I didn’t know before.
Hawaii (lots of info on the 50th state… new fact for me… Hawaii 5-0 is named that because Hawaii was the 50th state. Police came to be known as 5-0 because of this TV show)
9 Classic toys that are different now… I didn’t know that Silly Putty doesn’t pick up newsprint anymore… not because of the silly putty, but because newsprint is different now.
Modern Homemakers – I like listening to Donna Otto who hosts this show. I don’t always agree with her, but I like listening to what she has to say.
Lightweight Journaling – this one was about some easy and quick ways to begin journaling if you’ve never done it before or can’t seem to keep doing it.
Passion City Church – I listen to their Sunday Service every week.
That Sounds Fun – This is a show by Annie F Downs. She is new to Relevant, so I decided to check out her podcast. I really like it!
Bob Goff… she interviewed him on the show and the more I hear about him the more I think I need to go get his books and read them. I’ve added them to my wish list.
I Hate Green Beans – This is a new podcast they I’m trying out. I’ve only listened to one full episode. She has a whole series about the Bachelor TV show, and since I hate those “reality” shows and think they are helping to create a culture that I don’t like, I wasn’t sure if I would like her podcast. I’ve only listened to this one about Cinderella stories and so far, so good…
Cinderella Stories – This one was really a fluff show that didn’t require me to use much brain power… sometimes that can be a good thing.
Reading
Books
Treasure Hunters 1-2 (Wesley)
Wesley and I read together at night (or during the day if he wants to play video games and listen
Mercury’s War
This is my audio book series… I listen for maybe 20-30 minutes at night before I fall asleep… I’m not even sure I’m awake for the whole book… it doesn’t require a lot of listening. (NOT FOR CHILDREN!)
Witches (Kids)
We read this on nights when Ron is gone for our normal reading time. It is one of Roald Dahl books and Wesley loves it. It is taking us a long time to finish it because Ron isn’t gone very often.
Farmer Boy (Family)
We read this one during family reading time every night when everyone is home (this doesn’t happen often with Chyna working, Ron doing Jujitsu, and my dgroup, but we do it every night when we are all home)
The Hate U Give (Chyna)
We also have individual reading time at night from 9-10 and Chyna and I decided to read a book together. I have only been reading this book during this time (and I also read to Wesley during this time) so Cshe’s finished with it and I’m in the middle somewhere. But we still say we are reading it “together”.
Who is Julius Caesar? (Price)
Price wanted to learn more about Julius Caesar and I did too, so we are reading some books together. This one only happens sporadically, but we both like it when it does.
Loki’s Wolves (Library)
This is the latest book in my library read-through challenge. I’m loving it, but I just don’t have much time to read it. I take it everywhere with me so when I get a free minute, I read it. I’m almost done and there is another book in the series that I’m excited to read.
Bible: (I’m reading through the Bible with my sister-in-law, Ron, and my friends Kim and Cristina. We use the Bible App and I love that we can send messages to each other as we read. It holds me accountable and it’s nice to get different perspectives as I read something I may have read many times before.
Luke 7:11-35… This is the first time I’ve thought more about why John the Baptist has to remain in prison and I think it might be because John had a lot of followers and if he was out teaching and preaching and Jesus was out teaching and preaching, it could’ve taken some of the emphasis away from Jesus and maybe caused confusion… John’s purpose was to point the way, and he had done that, so he needed to be out of the way so Jesus could do his ministry…
Watching
YouTube
Simple History (Trench Clubs (WWI), Fake Trees (WWI),
Price introduced me to Simple History, so we watch these videos and discuss what we thought was cool about them or what we learned watching them.
Super Carlin Brothers (Dumbledore’s Long Name)
The boys both watch these guys… they talk about anything nerdy!
Which the boys love, and I do too… I always learn something I didn’t know before about whatever they are talking about.
SoCraftastic (Wreck This Journal)
This channel is just for me. She does all kinds of crafty things that I like to pretend I want to do
I don’t actually want to do them, but I like watching her do them. Especially her series on Wreck this Journal… She’s just bubbly and I like watching her videos.
US National Archives (National Park Plans, Celebrate the 100th Birthday of First Lady Betty Ford)
I don’t watch everything the National Archives puts out because some of them are really long. Except for a long one about all of the First Ladies (because I’m obsessed), but that was last week, so it doesn’t count
I liked the short one about Betty Ford for her birthday, and I love the National Parks so it was good to learn about the plans for each park and how they were drawn up.
Knowledgehub (Fast Food History)
I didn’t know how fast food became… well… fast food. This one was great!
With Family
Supernatural: Season 1: Ep 2 and 3
After family reading time, we watch one episode of whatever TV show we are all watching together. We have watched all episodes of Psych (our favorite thing ever!!!) and we just finished FireFly, so we picked Supernatural as our next one. We only pick a series that none of us have seen, and we are loving this one so far. I sometimes jump and scream which everyone else thinks is so funny
I know this one will take a while too because it’s such a long series.
Cars 3
When we aren’t all home at night, we can’t watch our TV show, so we sometimes watch a movie. Since E came into our home, we’ve decided to watch animated movies during this time. The first one we picked was Cars 3. It had the added benefit that Chyna hadn’t seen it either.
What we learned??
We had a great week and had so much fun welcoming a toddler into the house. It’s been hard getting blog posts written, so that’s why I wanted to go to this weekly check-in… just some random pictures from the week.
