Transformers have been living amongst humans casually don't you think they wouldn't give two fucks and know not to gawk at random robots walking around like they just started existing?

You saw the Philadelphia episode (I hope? because you act like you haven't) or really any episode they are just chilling and walking around, you didn't notice nobody gave a damn? What about Optimus, Elita 1, and other bots? Would you randomly gawk at a group of sapient beings walking amongst you who've been there for a lifetime?

They were just mapping ancient tunnels and figuring it out; Croft also probably forbid anyone from entering due to the DWELLERS, not Terratronus; she was well off course and well protected/hidden by dirt and freaky alien monsters. Even if they somehow DID know, GHOST probably just utilized Terratronus to justify imprisoning dozens of transformers; whether they were cons, neutral, or autobots that didn't want to be part of a government mass incarceration and control program. Mandroid probably didn't give a shit at the moment because he was busy trying to squash literal children like bugs. WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT

now this is peak. the most gorgeous tm work by far i have to say its simply an incredible read all around. even tsukire did not look or work or sound as good as mahoyo did even tho it came out almost ten(?) years after

on the story front i loved it too with a special shoutout to soujuuro being one of my favorite characters in TM (i say this often not my fault type moon keeps releasing bangers)

however mahoyo has two issues for me:

the story is clearly incomplete: i dont mean its just nonsense or whatever but when nasu said its the first of a trilogy you can just feel that in the story with alot of things being left in the air. this wouldnt be an issue really if mahoyo 2 wasnt basically dead....

i didnt vibe with the slice of life scenes as much as i usually do in nasu works: this isnt a flaw in the story more so i just didnt like em idk how else to word that

mahoyo is a great read however and i highly highly recommend you read it or else

all of the characters are simply chefs kiss. while the visual novel is incredibly dated and the art is even worse you have to understand this is nasu and takeuchis first ever visual novel made on a barely existing budget.

the vn is split into two with a near side and far side.

while the near side is really good with arcueid and ciels route (ignore how ciel was actually really fucked over even in her own route its laughable and my girl deserved better) the far side is so much more better and really is where the soul of tsukihime and shiki the main character lies

i cba to review it properly besides saying PLEASE READ IT RN or ill cry and you dont wanna see that do you....

FSN is simply tms best work all around. while i prefer tsuki over it and find the tsuki side of TM more interesting FSN overall is much stronger on most fronts but especially its main characters

im not a fan of remaking classics on the level of tsuki. with all its flaws i still find the original to be good enough to not need a remake...

this is how you do it folks. the story was elevated on nearly every level and if it was the complete story id say its the best ever in existence ever forever fr. its just that good.

there are three things i really want to point out:

while maybe goin overboard i really liked the buffs all the characters received and in general the whole worldbuilding is so much better now with idea bloods and principles and vampire hierarchies and arcueid inflation scenes (heh) its just epic

ciel got a so much better route that actually feels like a ciel route and not just arcueid route 2 electric bugaloo (and getting fucking cucked)

noel is peak

this is peak type moon and when red garden comes out it will be even BETTER especially with satsuki route because satsuki deserves it

there are some other short stories i havent mentioned like garden of avalon, notes, MAGNITUNING (look it up you wont regret it) its all great and worth the time of reading

eventually i wanna play CCC and read some other stuff like maybe prillya DDD, fgo jp like lb7 traum and whatnot

blank period karin is one of the most interesting, complex versions of karin but there's a dearth of content that's dedicated to her in that era

a lot of the content ive seen that features blank period karin is like, sssk fic where she shows up to deliver the baby and is either like, mean or depressed about it, and maybe she and sakura have a moment and become besties, but usually she's there as set dressing, or to like, put the nail in the SK coffin

and like, that scene is absolutely something id want to dig into as a dirty little karin fan, but there's plenty of other shit i think a good karin-centric blank period fic could hit

the creeping, gradual realization that sasuke is not coming back for team taka and will be settling/based out of konoha

generally, any sort of wrangling/reconciliation between sasuke and taka after the war when he's in his new and improved grown up state of mind. if not this, then dealing with the frustrating realization that sasuke will continue to associate with orochimaru and taka whenever he needs anything, while having no intent to maintain serious personal bonds with any of them

in relation to the above, karin havign to deal with the fact that she's probably the only member of taka who is bothered by this, since juugo tends to be passive, and suigetsu is independent enough that if sasuke is fine just being LDBs (long distance bros), he would be totally chill with that. karin!!! not so much

and like i said this would be stuff other than the sarada stuff, but like WHEN the sarada shit happens, how karin approaches the entire sarada situation, whether its like, instant love bc its sasukes kid, or something she needs to force, bc holy shit is that an emotionally complex situation, and holy shit does sasuke do her no favors by asking her to deliver his literal child

aside from the sasuke bullshit, i wanna see karin wrangle with log/mitsuki/other babies(???) being grown in the lab while having no blood family of her own while also being unlikely to ever have her own children

karin also wrangling with the fact that she's creating entire human beings, presumably so that they can be experimented on by orochimaru, which isnt new per se, but is new in the sense that shes now an adult who may or may not have more complex feelings towards helpless children (esp after sarada)

the fact that juugo apparently takes off from taka at some point, and karin and suigetsu either go separate ways or begin working in different hideouts

literally????? any kind of revelations regarding her heritage??? the fact that she busted out the chakra chains in the middle of the war in a very conspicuous moment?? shes a cousin of the future hokage???????? one of two uzumakis left in the world, and the only known pure blooded one, presumably?????????

also this is probably where karin experiments with The First Guy Who Is Not Sasuke, which either fails gloriously in a murder-tinted kinda way, or is wayyy too normal for her to ever be able to maintain it

ALSO i dont think theres a lot of fic that address the long term toll of karin using her healing bites, and it seems like young adulthood would be the time where any wonky shit would present itself

basically i think there should be more fic about how complex karin is in this era, how she tackles leaving behind the sasuke era of her life and forming an identity separate to that, to the extent that she may or may not try to, and she may or may not succeed

There really is something about revivebur that makes me constantly hyperfixate on him:  because his entire canon life has been awful, he is 1000% not okay. And I was thinking— you know when you’ve been crying for hours, and when you stop your head is all foggy, and you feel cold and lethargic? And it usually gives you a headache, makes you feel groggy for the rest of the day. It doesn’t feel great. Imagine him finally crying it out, but this time, he’s being held– and he feels warm. And it’s one small thing that’s changed– the temperature– but it makes so much difference

OKay. imagine. Reader is a baker, owns a small, usually empty dusty bakery that they run by themselves. They are a short little gremlin that says the most out-of-context things, a shut-in and knows nothing about the happenings of the SMP (only hears rumors). Revivebur/Wilbur enters her bakery someday out of boredom or something, shenanigans ensue. He orders some stuff and while he does so he mentions he was revived. The reader decides to give him a celebratory cake as a welcome-back gift. Obviously they don't have revival cakes so they take a tart with the words "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" written on them in red icing and just smears away the "BIRTHDAY", resulting in a vaguely threatening looking cake with the word “H A P P Y” in red icing, with a giant red smear underneath. Wilbur has some conflicting emotions. 

First of all, the cake looks like a crime scene, and it’s generally a funny situation

But he’s also touched because no one has celebrated his revival before?????? 

He mentions that he’s been brought back from the dead and this person just goes “okay” and improvises a cake for them? Not even a double take or a blink?? And there first concern was “oh that’s a momentous occasion we need to get you a celebratory cake”

I’d also like to point out that this baker, who is half wilbur’s height, can absolutely pick him up and carry him away. Kneading dough 24/7 builds muscles— or maybe it just seems that way to me because my weak ass can’t stir a bowl of cake batter without getting a hernia. 

Rev would also like the “my poet” petname 100%. Especially after he made that LAs Nevadas Poem (i think it was in Hitting on 16? Anyway it was a banger of a poem). 

IMAGINE throwing hands with anyone who gives him shit for his history of bad mental health. Someone calls him insane or dangerous? Break their nose.

maybe i'm a slow reader? and slow watcher too. for example with stranger things 5 when it hits, i just know that i'm going to be pausing episodes every 2 minutes, rewinding scenes to rewatch and let the emotion really settle into my bones before continuing. especially because i am often still thinking about a scene when a new one begins, and so i miss it... i need that pause button haha!

so with reading, thats what i meant. i think i devoured in memoriam in 5 days or so, which is nuts fast for me haha. and it's because i had to stop reading and have a break because i was too emotional to continue, or i needed to process what was happening in the story. esp historical fiction because your brain is just like ... holy shit, this HAPPENED. this isnt total fiction. and sometimes it was bedtime reading and i knew i had to stop because i could sense that it was getting serious and i wouldnt be able to sleep if i continued. likewise with stranger things - i needed a business day to process dear billy. that episode was like a curtain drop to me, an interval at a theatre. following it with another episode immediately felt disrespectful, anticlimactic.

so thats what i meant by let it breathe haha. obviously read how you want, i was just being obnoxious hehe. fascinated by people's habits. but seriously i couldnt have read it in one sitting - i needed to get up and pace, or go outside and scream, go for a run, cry a LOT, and also talk to my nearest and dearest about certain parts. which is also why i couldnt read it on my commute haha... i definitely set aside certain times to read when i knew i wouldnt be disturbed.

Your mindset is really interesting too and I think many would assume that's me because I'm an admitted sensitive, overly-emotional guy who is lost in his own head/imagination for the majority of life. And I do sit with things an do get lost in emotions, but I'm also an information sponge, I am so enraptured with things like an important, good book that I genuinely need to see it through. All in the extensive moment. Walking away isn't going to help me because I just want to continue. I'll sit with everything and reflect after, I guess? I am experiencing everything in the moment and I just want to continue that moment. I don't like losing momentum is the thing. Breaking it up does not work if it's something that really grips me and I don't often know until I'm already in it.

And it's interesting, because I do feel very different about different media. Why movies are PERFECT because I can just sit there and watch and observe and then reflect and it's a condensed, convenient time frame. And most movies that reallllly move me I often immediately watch it again to now see it with learned perspective. When I finish a good book I often go back to the beginning to skim to parts I need to dive into more. Some TV shows get me there intensely, but it's rarer for some reason? I can't really explain it.

With this upcoming last season of Stranger Things - I thought for a while that I wanted to be a binger and get everything at once because I'm going to be anxious and ravenous and now - I'm hit with the reality that this is IT it's going to END so maybe I do want to drag it out to savor? But I'm still gonna be impatient and ravenous. I don't think I'm a pauser though, because to me that definitely takes me out of it. I have to be watching "in real time" which I think if a written story resonates with me, pausing takes me out of it as well?? Maybe?

So heres the deal:

At work on Sunday one of my kids threw a bottle at my face then went into his room and started screaming and pounding. I heard him pound on his window. So, we do therapeutic holds at my work for aggressive kids- to protect them or us. Hitting a window? A fucking hold because jesus fucking christ if that breaks? Holy shit I dont want to be there

I told him if he does it again hes going in a hold

So a bit later, I heard it. I told my coworker (the one Ive been having issues with and who is now my supervisor). She wanted to see it “reverberate” from the outside or whatever the fuck? To be sure or whatever? Never mind you can hear the fucking sound of it.

So she told me she saw it (i didnt hear it but whatever). So okay, that means hold. I go in and- Im alone. Shes in the doorway blocking it so my coworker cant get in. Im alone, halfway into the room, with a kid screaming curses at me and hitting the wall so hard the room shakes.

Literally an arms reach away.

And she didnt fucking come in. Nor did she allow my coworkers in. AND YOU KNOW WHAT? I COULDNT GET OUT EITHER.

And then she just didnt? Didnt say literally anything, mention a hold, whatever? So made an absolute fool of me right fucking in there. This kid knows he can attack me and its fine. Every issue Ive had with this kid has been because of her.

I was so stressed out I was trying not to cry.

Look I know it can sound overeager when I say can I put this kid in a hold when he hits his hands on the door or window.

But you know what? I have responded to enough emergencies in my life and I DONT WANT TO SEE THAT. Also, if he breaks his fucking hand? They tell me its a “natural consequence” of hitting a solid core wood door. ARE YOU SERIOUS? THIS IS A DEVELOPMENTALLY DELAYED CHILD WHO DOES NOT UNDERSTAND AND IS IN AN EMOTIONAL RAGE AND CANT MAKE BETTER CHOICES, WE MUST ENSURE HIS SAFETY.

so anyway, does anyone know if thats grounds for me to call CPS to report that statement my coworker said? “Well if he breaks his hand (when we could prevent it, as is our job), thats a natural consequence”

Also Im arranging to have my schedule changed to not work with her, now I just need to message my managers to tell them about it and tell them the stupid situation.

But unfortunately, I fucked up. I vented to my coworker who wasnt on shift that day and isnt highly regarded by the managers. For good reason, but if theres anything, I trust him to help me and have my back in a dangerous situation. We both noticed lately shes been really messing with our safety in behaviors so I vented it out to him what happened

Im sorry I know its a serious scene, and honestly RIP to a real one, Skebows you will be missed. But, them carrying a skateboard corpse through the hallway like its a medical drama did send me. So funny im sorry.

Honestly this episode did a real great job of showing the part of Houtarou that goes to become Daybreak in the future. Im honestly sold on it. Also, Hopper1 trying to tickle him to make him laugh :( I think Chemies dont really understand the concept of death also, I saw on the production blog that they were gonna have something with Steamliner but scrapped it and im glad they did. I think its good to keep the Chemies as more nature aligned beings like animals. Hopper1 does know "sad is bad" "laugh is good" and its good to keep it simple like that, its charming. Lets leave the more complicated emotions to the others, dont burden yourselves.

As a fan of the show "Old Enough!" i loved seeing Hopper1s first errand... The voice actor, Fukuen, did her utmost voicing Hopper1 in this episode. The sounds coming out of it were so cute i tear up just thinking about it... My favorite one is the sneeze that came after it got drenched in water. It reminded me of Togepi from pokemon, i miss Togepi.

Im SO glad we got this quiet moment between Houtarou and his mom, it was a really touching scene. I think his mom is real sweet. Also honestly the part where baby mode Houtarou pours syrup on his pancakes did make me tear up. What a comforting scene.... You really made us think we were so back but it was already so over from the start... It really makes what happens in the later half of the episode more impactful, ive learned a lot. If Houtarou had been sad the whole time it wouldnt have hurt as much, yes... You guys are really good at twisting the knife...

Also i think i said in the previous post that i thought Daybreak that fought Gigist might have been the Houtarou Daybreak but i had completely forgotten about Houtarous dad maybe being Daybreak too and also that there mightve been other Kamen Riders since they knew about the concept. It was a good reminder thank you, ill try not to forget again.

We got more scenes of the seniors fighting!!! Thank you so much, i love them cause theyre so cute. Its nice that youre picking up the letters that got scattered, youre good kids...

I find it really fun that now Spanner and Minato are their own team. Theyve been teaming up a lot lately and its cute i think. Also finally Spanner gets to defeat something, its been ages. This post is about Spanner:

Honestly. Hopper1 turning into CrossHopper just so they can DASH your last hopes that there might be a way out of it was cruel, i love it.

Can I be honest for a sec? The Hopper Malgam? Slaps absolute nuts. This shits tight as hell. Its so good holy shit. They were COOKING..

Also the locust final attack?!? Baller. Its so scary, 10/10.

Houtarou telling Hopper1 to kill him if that would ease his pain... that was rough yall. This was a rough episode. Im tearing up just thinking about it again. Hey...

The transition from the monstruous Hopper Malgam voice to the small and confused Hopper1 voice before it dies... Man. Man..!!!

Im honestly. Glad that they didnt do this with Hopper1 first. Like, leading up with Skebows, as an accident, was really rough, but it WAS an accident. AnTrooper was a good "confirmation" of how things work and also cemented pretty much where everyone else stood on the matter. The seniors and Rinne didnt want to make the choice for Houtarou, Spanner has grown a lot and came to respect Houtarous perspective, but like Minato he ultimately wont pull his punches to stop the Chemys from hurting people, and Houtarou was still having doubts.

But with Hopper1 its like. Its not an accident anymore, he KNOWS that if he stops it it WILL die. And he has to do it anyways with that burden because he also figured out that Hopper1 doesnt want to hurt anyone even on a Malgam form and to let it would also be cruel. This truly is Kamen Rider.

I read in the production blog that they wanted to explore the relationship between the Rider and the Monsters much like in Kuuga, they also had a quote saying that previously with Sabimarus transformation Houtarou had to face other peoples violence but in this episode he had to face his own violence. Banger episode. Everyone did a great job.

Anyways Houtarou becomes an egg... I know its a Philosopher Stone/Philosophers egg thing, but congrats on Houtarous gender i guess. Wish you couldve found out in a less aggressive way.

Junsei you did such a good job in this episode. I really feel bad for Houtarou. Next week things will be better for him, so hang in there!
