Okay, if you were asked who are in JJK & BNHA that you can see based on canon that are gay/bi/pan/demi, which characters are they?

For me satoaugu and bakudeku are definitely not straight (yes, I ship them but I don't think they "must be into women only" like a post I just saw). Also, kaminari, jirou, toga, nobara, megumi, kenjaku....

Satoru Gojo - Let's be so for real. Man is down astronomical for Suguru but I think there's still evidence/reason to believe he could be ace or demisexual. Can strength be conflated with love?

Kinji Hakari - waving the white flag on this one considering I'm 4 weeks behind and I don't know if there's been further clarification that might swing this verdict one way or another but support Hikari's love regardless of Kirara's gender expression/identity. Also, given current events, it'd be pretty weird if Gege slipped that in out of nowhere.

Kenjaku - 🗣️ IF GIVEN ENOUGH TIME, DO WE NOT ALL BECOME A LIL GAY!? I understand straight people probably don't have such realizations so I'm just going to sit with that reflection.

Nobara Kugisaki - be so for real. I think she had a misplaced crush in her idolization of Saori that made more sense when she left the bumble fuck countryside and could live her best life, out and proud with her muscle mommy girlfriend, Maki. Also explains, a bit, why Saori was ostracized where Nobara may have lacked understanding/context.

Maki - Plenty of gay icons without last names, queen. This one just happens to also be gay.

Eijirou Kirishima is almost so straight that he unintentionally makes a hard U-turn into flirting with queerness. His phrasing is baffling as he tends to pop up in those threads frequently with assumingly unintended innuendos but it is also reminiscent about how no one third wheels harder than a dude's girlfriend when he's with his best friend? I don't know if that makes sense but I'm throwing him in the mix as someone who maybe just needs some time ✨ regardless of the BakuDeku to KiriMina parallels.

Denki Kaminari - This kid has eyes and he uses them, gender be damned. A bi-disaster if I've ever seen one.

Minoru Mineta - IDK if his Deku confession was a translation faux pas or if Mineta, too, has fallen for the male lead's quintessential charm that wins over hearts and minds. While the Council on Bisexuality would fight me on this one... his membership is still pending.

Izuku Midoriya - I have it on good authority that Izuku is Bakusexual. Flustered by girls in the same way that any awkward and bullied kid might when encountering the opposite sex but his heart has always had its allegiance to one person. Whether that makes him gay, demi or even bi, I think it tracks.

Katsuki Bakugo - bi, pan or gay, the consensus is he is Not Straight.

Kyoka Jiro - in Smash, Jiro is a total fujoshi (she just like us fr). If you'll allow submitting MHA Smash into evidence, coupled with the canon main story, I say bi. A girl who knows Momo is stacked but also reasonably wants the attention and company of a Class 1A boy as a girl would at that age.

Himiko Toga - one thing about Toga. She is going to know and live her truth. Confidently bi ✨

Ochaco Uraraka - SPEAKING OF LIVING TRUTHS. She a little late but she has the right spirit.

Primarch Sexuality Headcanons

Inspired by this post in which I got very excited to see someone else advocating for an ace-Fulgrim so I'm gonna list my view on the primarch's and their various sexualities.

May do a follow-up on the various captains and other Astartes in the Legions, though that post would get pretty huge pretty fast. I have a lot of opinions.

I invite others to share their perspectives if they have them. For full disclosure, I am coming at this as a homoromantic asexual who is VERY sex-repulsed, so that is, naturally, going to tinge my own perspective.

In Legion order:

Lion El'Johnson - Demisexual or grey-ace, uncertain about romantic interests. I haven't read too much on the Lion, and I know it seems to be popular to make the lad gay, but I don't quite get those vibes from him. I think he prefers women.

Fulgrim - Asexual panromantic. As was said in the thread linked above by the Consortium-human, definitely for aesthetic attraction. He is a peacock in the most literal way possible and I think he'd like his romantic partners to maybe be similar? I can definitely see him dressing them up ostentatiously.

Perturabo - Love the iron hermit, he's definitely a demiromantic asexual. Definitely sex-repulsed. Others would say aro but I could see him being romantically interested in someone if they took the time required for him to see them that way. I don't think gender would matter too much, but I think he'd have a more masc preference.

Jaghatai Khan - Grey-ace or Bisexual king. He's not someone who actively looks for relationships or flings but isn't opposed to them either, if he finds the person attractive.

Leman Russ - Exists in a quantum state between "homosexual bear" and "omnisexual bear". On the one hand, I can see him with basically anyone, but on the other, he gives that rugged sort of "passes as straight lumberjack, is actually gay as hell" type.

Rogal Dorn - Asexual... demiromantic? It's either demi or heteroromantic. Preference towards women or femme-presenting people. Probably sex-repulsed if not sex neutral.

Konrad Curze - Aromantic asexual. Has never had the interest. Has never wanted the interest. Pretty straight forward.

Sanguinius - I feel like it'd be cliche and also wrong to say demiromantic asexual. Aspec for sure. Maybe homoromantic? Maybe biromantic? He's tough to put a good finger on in terms of vibes.

Ferrus Manus - This is a gay man. Homosexual aromantic. I do not think he'd be very into a romantic relationship.

Angron - Heteroromantic asexual. If he ever had the true capacity for romance, anyway. The Nails probably stole it from him.

Roboute Guilliman - This one is tough. I want to say something aspec, as I said before maybe demi or grey. I don't think it's hard ace for him. In terms of a romantic orientation... Tough. I think he'd be interested in trying a date with a man, but I do want to say heteroromantic. Not closing himself off to the possibility of also being into them, but if he is bi-or-panromantic, he still has a preference for femme-presenting people and women.

Mortarion - See, most would probably also assume asexual, and I would maybe agree, but I've always had a thing in the back of my mind where he's just straight. Heterosexual man. Nothing wrong with it. He may be aromantic or just not interested in a relationship.

Magnus the Red - Aromantic asexual, I will say this with my full chest. Not opposed to a relationship, potentially, but would rather sex not be involved.

Horus Lupercal - I've seen some people say he's a bisexual disaster and while I can see where people are coming from, he's always had big asexual vibes, someone who's up for sex if his partners want it but is also just as fine without. Pan/omniromantic for sure though.

Lorgar Aurelian - Asexual for sure. I am consistently flipping between a bunch of different romantic orientations for him. I think he'd be an oriented demiromantic, but on the other hand. Hmm. He's tough. I saw panromantic and I think that is correct. May have a more masc preference though.

Vulkan - I feel like demisexual kinda cheapens him since everyone has flanderized him into being the "friendly" primarch, but it does feel fitting after everything I've read on him. So demi it is. Romantically... tough. Part of me wants to say aromantic. Another part wants to also put him as heteroromantic. One of those two.

Corvus Corax - Heterosexual, probably. I can definitely see him as a Castlevania-Dracula-"if you hurt my wife I will scour the lands and make sure your souls are damned for eternity"-type.

Alpharius/Omegon - It's a mystery, OooOooOO! I'm not gonna cop out like that. Based on what I've read, I see heterosexual aromantic. May be open to experimenting with men or androgenous people, but solidly prefers women as partners.

Bonus Round:

The Emperor of Man and Malcador are gay lovers. I have seen the light. I have read The End and the Death. They are homosexuals.

Lgbtq+ headcanons with the Dovahkrew

These are Sexuality and romantic orientations not gender orientation headcanons. Sorry. These are also MY headcanons so if they don't match up with your headcanons it's not personal so please don't get mad at me. I am curious to see your headcanons as well though.

Inigo- Heteroflexible. He is most definitely interested in women and I always head canon that after the events of Skyrim he does settle down with the woman of his dreams who just happens to own a sweet roll shop. But I also feel like he would definitely point out a man's beauty. He seems like a very comfortable in his Sexuality kind of guy.

Lucien- Questioning Asexual Biromantic. He seems more interested in knowledge and learning other things than a relationship. And if someone did ask about his orientations then I feel like he wouldn't be able to answer that because he doesn't really try to experiment with romance of any kind.

Kaidan- Bisexual with maybe a fem preference (including feminine or men). I also see him as Pansexual because honestly I don't think he really cares about what gender his lover is.

Auri- Sapphic or Lesbian. I mean her creator basically made it Canon that she Prefers women.

Rumarin- Panflux 100%. Gender doesn't get in the way when it comes to any type of attraction to one another.

Vilja- I really only know her from a video of Inigo dialogue they have together. If I had to make a guess I would say she's straight or Pan, but I'm leading more into Straight.

Sofia- Bi with a big male preference.

Hoth- I really wish there were more videos and content on his commentary in Skyrim because I don't have him, but I'm interested him so much that I'd love to know more about his character. I feel like he doesn't use labels and gender isn't that much of an issue when it comes to love.

Taliesin- Pansexual. I mean come on its THE Talisman.

Gore (aka bby girl)- Questioning Omnisexual. It just feels right to me

Caryalind- I can't remember if rabbit said his sexuality was Demiromantic Asexual. I know he is Ace (or at least on the Ace spectrum) but I can't remember is they anything about being demi. I think he's Demiromantic.

Lucifer- Polysexual but I feel like he does have a male preference though I could be very very wrong. It's so funny because I play with him a lot on Skyrim but barely know anything about him. He holds grudges, he's very secretive (good on him because i would be too if i was in his situation), and he loves argonians. He seems to look up to Xelzaz and Inigo (and in some sense he does seem to be very enthusiastic when first meeting Nebarra until he realizes he doesnt like his personality) a lot which is what fueled my belief that he's maybe Achillean (Sapphic but for masculine terms instead of feminine).

Nebarra- I 100% believe that he refuses to use any labels. I think he might lean toward women a bit more, but that would only be because of how altmer are only raised to make the perfect child, so opposite sex relationships are probably the most common in the Summerset Isles. His fixation with Niranye and past relationship with Camia shows that. He doesn't seem Asexual because he doesn't hide the fact that he does enjoy the idea of doing the naughty naughty. His commentary on Dibella, Dibella Sybil quest, in the Night to Remember he says how he hopes we got to experience the Dibellan arts, and how he jokes about being Lucifer's father just prove that.

Xelzaz- Don't get mad at me, but I think he's straight. He says when hes ready he's like to marry a female argonian, and the only other time he's fallen I love was with another girl. I don't think he's asexual, but I think he definitely isn't very interested in it though we wouldn't really know because he seems very adamant on wanting to keep that part of his life private (as he should I love a king that doesn't feel like he has to tell us his sexual life).

Remiel- Asexual Panromantic. It was already proved Canon that she's Asexual. I had the conversation with her where she tells is she doesn't feel sexual feelings towards someone as she does with romantic feelings (also good on her. Not every relationship needs to have sexual desire in them). She's fallen in love with boys before and didn't seem too mad about being arranged to another man so I don't want to label her as Sapphic. And she does fall in love with you regardless of gender and I haven't seen anything that says she has a preference from the creator so I believe she's panromantic.

Secunda- I really don't know her that much yet as I'm still playing with her. First impressions is telling me panflux though I could be wrong though.

Extra!

Serana- Without the SDA. She always gave me Asexual Biromantic vibes.

Teldryn Sero- Haven't started A serious Teldryn mod yet so I don't know too too much about his personal preferences, but he seems like the type who doesn't really use labels. Though I'm positive he is Bisexual.

Karina- Panromantic Demisexual. It was confirmed by the one who made her @jewelthejaguar742

Arstul- Asexual Omniromantic with a male preference. Talked with @joonjii about it and it's confirmed. However, they also said he could be panromantic with a male preference too but they said my opinion was valid and technically right.

(I saw someone musing about whether or not Kaoru is trans* (since identical twins usually share the same biological sex) and... I can't see how? Him "having the wrong genitals" (as in: him being AMAB) is a fact important to his backstory and he seems to have always identified as boy/man, even before the attack on his village, no matter what the Nagumo did to him. (Kaoru and Chizuru being oni is probably an excuse for how it's possible that they're identical twins with different sexes). But it's a trans* spectrum so while I can't see how he could be MTF trans*, maybe he's GNC/demi-boy/agender/enby?)

I saw a post the other day about someone being pissed that people were calling Eddie gay instead of bi only because they couldn't handle more than one bisexual person on a show. Now, I didn't make Eddie gay/demi, he was born that way, BUT it got me thinking, because the whole crew feels very fruity? SO, I want to get your guys' opinions on what you think the rest of the characters are. (JUST the characters. We're not speculating on the actors. We all know this.) Maddie - I don't get many vibes from her either, but I also have a vague fic idea of Madney breaking up in s4/s5 and her ending up with Shannon instead, so idk, maybe she's just unlabeled but somewhere on the spectrum of queerness?

Lena Bokso - Lesbian vibes, for sure. I don't think there was ANY romantic undertones with her and Eddie (Which, I'm not saying that's the only reason I think she's a lesbian. She can like men and not like Eddie. Even if she did, Eddie wasn't in a place to do anything with those feelings, but I saw a post about that pairing recently & wanted to throw my 2 cents in)

May Grant - May also gives off queer vibes, and I've seen other view her as full wlw, but I think she gives off more bi/pan vibes?

I'm bored so here's some Hooligans headcanons I have.

- Bean is around 15 in my eyes, I can't help but see him as a kid he does not act like an adult. Bark is around 28. And Fang is somewhere in his 30s, which is surprising to people around him because they think he's some middle aged old man.

- I don't have any backstories for Fang and Bark yet but Bean is an orphan that Bark took in and started viewing him as a younger brother. And Fang is just some dude they came across in the black market. They all have some familial bond and Fang is the older brother to both.

- All of them are autistic.

- Bean is aroace, Fang is bi, and Bark is pan but also somewhere on the aro spectrum (maybe demi).

- Bean and Jet are cousins. Neither of them know that though.

- Idk if this will ever be canon even though the entire fandom sees it as such but Fang is absolutely an aussie and has a heavy aussie accent.

- I'm sorry but they're all chaotically dumb. As much as I like the idea of one of them being really smart but nah they all share a singular braincell. Bark probably has more common sense though as he's been through the most bs. You'd think Fang would have more common sense because he's older and should be more mature but nah Bark is.

- Bean is the type of kid to go "you got games on your phone?" and watch you play on your phone heavily breathing on your neck.

- On the topic of games Bean is absolutely a gamer and would play nothing but FNAF, Among Us, and Lethal Company. FNAF would probably be his special interest and he would absolutely quote the Freddy Fivebears guy on a daily basis. Bark probably dabbles in video games too but I see him as someone who would only play arcade fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. And Fang only plays Solitaire.

- Fang plays card games, with Black Jack probably being his favourite, and he SUCKS at them. He also gambles too but constantly loses. Bean and Bark only let him win out of pity for him. He doesn't know that though and thinks that they just suck at card games.

- Bark is the only one who can cook. I think his fave food would be fish and sushi (and seals but not mobian seals). Fang likes spicy foods and would probably be one of those people who can eat a whole bag of takis and not be affected by it. Bean has a sweet tooth and mostly eats candies. I think those candies with the strawberry wrapper that your grandma would carry in her purse (at least mine did) would be his favourite. He probably likes mangos and mango flavored stuff too. He also probably eats lip gloss.

- Fang is a smoker and absolutely an alcoholic. I think whiskey would be his favourite drink. Bark doesn't smoke but probably drinks too (but isn't an alcoholic like Fang) and his favourite drink would probably be straight vodka. Bean is still a kid and can't drink or smoke but I absolutely see him as a stoner in adulthood though (not addicted though probably the type to get stoned on the weekends).

I like the idea of him developing some sort of relationship with Smerdyakov but I'm not sure how old he is so I haven't given it much thought. I'm not sure if sapiosexual (or sapioromantic??) is an ok thing to call him, so if I were to give a label I like greyromantic demisexual

Please feel free to ignore this if it's too personal, but I was wondering if you have any advice for figuring out your sexuality while being demisexual? I've followed you since the ouat days and I relate to a lot of stuff you said when you came back to the blog. I've just felt like it's hard to figure out since it takes forever for me to develop crushes and get to a place where I even want to pursue a romantic relationship. I also grew up in a religious household/went to religious school so there's a whole extra layer of stuff to deal with there. Again, absolutely no pressure at all to answer, and I hope you have a great weekend!

I'm far from an expert on this, but I definitely know how difficult this stage of life can be. All I can really do is just tell you my experiences and hope something resonates! Like most people growing up in evangelical spaces, I just assumed that I was straight and cis. What else would I be? I fell in love and got married, and then dealt with the fallout of a waning emotional connection changing my relationship with sex entirely. I got crushes whenever I'd be connecting with somebody (GUY somebodies. With the ladies I'd just, y'know, be completely obsessed with their well-being and how shitty every guy was to them and how they deserved someone SO MUCH BETTER, not like I was saying me, obviously, I'm straight. . . .) and beat myself up internally for not being emotionally faithful to my spouse. When I came out as demi, my spouse definitely did not understand, but attempted to be supportive. I tried explaining my experience of demisexuality to him many a time, and he'd basically say "I get that that makes sense to you, but that's completely alien to me and I have no way to really relate to it." I didn't really hit a point where I understood myself until getting locked in my house for roughly three years for self-reflection (read: COVID and losing my ministry job, ending with me being a housewife for three full years). I had very intense crushes on roughly three of my friends at the same time, two of whom were women, and I was finally able to really understand those as crushes because I knew the guy one of them was dating and he was genuinely wonderful to her. So my concern over her well-being wasn't just "I wish she were dating somebody better," it was "I wish I was able to make her life better. Me, specifically. And maybe kiss her. a bit." I was able to trace that backwards through my life and reflect on other times I'd had similar feelings about women in my life, and recognize that I'm bi as hell. This was also the point in my life when I realized that I'm polyamorous, because I recognized that my desire for multiple romantic connections had very little to do with dissatisfaction in my current relationship, or a desire to move on (although that was coming--BELIEVE ME, THE WRITING WAS ON THE WALL I JUST COULDN'T READ YET), it was just my desire to share that kind of love with more than one person. Again, recognizing those things and doing a lot of research enabled me to reflect on the thread of continuity through my whole life, and just recognize what had already been there. That was also very much my discovery of being genderfluid, but that's a WHOLE OTHER STORY and this post is already bonkers long. So I guess my advice is this: Be reflective. Think about the ways you've felt close to people. Recognize that in some cases, crushes on differently-gendered people feel different from one another (some people don't have that experience, obviously, I think that tends to be a large distinction between bi and pan persons, but that's how it's been for me). Read blogs--I wouldn't know how hella gay I am without tumblr itself being a font of information in my mid-20s. Rely on trustworthy friends who know and understand you--I was fortunate to have a really great friend group that supported me (and lovingly bullied me) through my own coming-out process. When I came out as bi to them, a dear friend said "Ronnie, I'm gonna say some shit now....IS THIS NEWS??? I THOUGHT WE ALL KNEW AND YOU JUST MOSTLY HAD A PREFERENCE FOR DUDES. WHAT? YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE BI?????" It was pretty funny and great, tbh. I hope the very best for you, and that you get the time and resources to be authentically yourself. I am still very much a person of faith and I believe wholeheartedly that God loves the person they made you to be, as well as the you that exists now, and there is nothing to fear from learning more about yourself <3

-- Duckgae (덕개) and Rather (라더)(Pronounced Lah-ther, fyi) followed Jamdeul to the lab one day and they've been staying in her lab ever since. Duckgae dragged Rather into this. They and Suhyen get along pretty well. Everyone else (especially Coa) keeps forgetting they exist cause they never show up anywhere.

Man for most of my adolescence I thought I was ace cause I didn't really want to do it with my partner (we're both afab) but then I met a cis guy I was interested in exploring that avenue with and another cis guy after him that I am *very* much sexually attracted to. And yet I still don't find the idea of sexual acts with my long term partner very appealing. On good days I can recognize that this could just be a difference in how we show affection or maybe I still am somewhere on the ace spectrum, but on bad days it really makes me question my sexuality and if we should even be together if I can't fulfill that need for my partner but I want to fulfill it for others. (I'm poly btw so my partner has been here through all of this)

Idk I'm just not sure if this is an aspec thing or a just me thing or what. Any ideas/suggestions?

This is not so easy to answer because idk your partner's gender or your orientation (besides aspec), like I can't really say "well maybe you're only sexually attracted to men" if your partner is a trans guy, or maybe you already know you're only sexually attracted to men and are wondering why you're not into your partner in that way, or maybe they're a woman and you're not sexually attracted to women. I can't say maybe you're just straight/gay if that's something you already know about yourself.

I'm not trying to be unhelpful but I genuinely don't feel like I have enough information to give you much useful advice here? Assigned gender at birth is like. literally the least relevant information here unless you've discovered you have a genital preference, which you don't really need my help with.

It could be that you're just not sexually attracted to your partner in particular even if you're romantically attracted to them, which is fine, (even if you're not romantically into them that's cool too) that's not your fault, if you're both happy in your relationship and with what you can give them and they can give you, that's all good, but if you're not into them at all then that might be where you need to have a think and a talk with them, especially if you've been together since you were teenagers. It's okay if you learn something new about yourself and no longer feel able to maintain that relationship, it's normal for your understanding of your identity to evolve during adolescence anyway.

But okay, you're not automatically going to be sexually attracted to every person of a gender you're capable of being sexually attracted to. If you like men it doesn't mean you like all men, if you're pan it doesn't mean you like everyone, but maybe you're grey ace and only experience sexual attraction very rarely and it just happens that these two times it's happened have been for cis men, or maybe you're aceflux or abrosexual and your orientation fluctuates over time, or dynamasexual, if your orientation changes depending on the gender of the person (eg if you're demi towards men and ace towards women and reciprosexual towards nonbinary people etc).

In my modern au, I see Neteyam as a straight boi, he's only ever looked at girls and has had maybe one solid, steady relationship before going off to college. He possibly starts to explore other options when he's a bit older, but during high school that's how I think it is. Again Lo'ak is straight, and he only has eyes for Tsireya.

Spider is the biggest ace. He's not interested in anything like that, but he has the biggest platonic crush on Kiri. He doesn't know that's what it is, because the thought of sexuality has not even come up in his brain. He just loves spending time with her and sees her as his best friend. Platonic soulmates allllll the way 🥰🥰

Kiri is whatever she wants. Definitely demi, but also pan probably. I haven't thought too much about it because like Spider, she is still way young and no one has really been attractive enough to her yet.

Neytiri is a bisexual queen, because of course she is. And Tonowari and Ronal are happily married straights (even though they haven't even been mentioned in the fic yet 😂).

Ok, I may not know much about blogs but I'm pretty sure everyone at some point posts something, right?

So I'm going to write an introduction, kind of a "get to know me"

I live in Italy, but I'm bilingual. For some people this may seem shocking, but I HATE this place (sorry). Maybe I spend too much time on Pinterest? But I grew up in England, so warm weather and loud people isn't exactly my go-to. I'm the type of person that would sit for an hour with music and a cup of tea while looking out the window when it rains.

I'm kinda-sorta obsessed with MBTI, I'd think "what's your personality type" after meeting you (hope that doesn't sound creepy as fuck like it did in my mind). I got typed twice an INTJ, twice as an INTP and once an INFP so you can kinda guess I might be questioning a lot of things.

I also love BTS with all my heart (laugh at me, I don't care), since I found them when my life was...shit, to say the least. Namjoon will forever be my free therapist, if I ever met him I'd literally start crying and I'd thank him (and the rest of the boys) for everyhing. That sounded fucking cheesy (?), anyways

I don't really label myself, you could say I'm bi, or pan, or demi, or just a confused straight person if you want. You could label me as "I don't know", that would be accurate.

My mental health has been kinda bad since...maybe 2022? Depression and shit. I feel better now, though. I have some friends and I go to therapy so baby steps :))))

Queer and Community

A friend attended their first meeting for an online book club this evening and came back with a question for me. "What is your reaction to people using the term queer? And not straight people using it, or the word intended as a slur. But folks in the community using it as an identifier?" This was our conversation: me: Queer is the only term that is all-inclusive to everyone who isn't cishet. I'm frustrated and annoyed that our own community wants to say it's a slur and not use it and continue to reinforce further segregation. Not using queer is forcing people to choose tiny buckets to fit themselves in when that was never the intent of the queer community as a whole. We switched over to LG and the BT and then just kept adding letters after that which only makes it harder to be a single, united community. And at the very least, if people wanted to use an acronym, they could have at least used QUILTBAG, which is far easier to type and say, but it puts Gay men last and we certainly can't have that :/ her: Thank you. I appreciate that. That's the term I use for myself (because bi, pan, demi...I don't know they keep changing it on me) and I tend to use it for the community because I find it all inclusive, like you said. So my class was forming smaller discussion groups, and a large chunk of us are queer. So this person got the group created and just labeled it "queer". And a few people were super upset. So of course I've been worrying all day that I've been terribly offending others with my choice of words. And maybe I am, but i also feel like I'm allowed to use that word? I really appreciate your answer. me: So it's generally the VERY young amongst us who like to cry "queer is a slur!" because that's what's being pushed on them right now. The TERFs know what they're doing, and they're part of the red hats. They are sewing discord into the minds of the very young and malleable because those young have no concept of queer history. They look at the Legend of Korra and scoff at those of us who /freaked out at the representation/ because it wasn't good enough for them. It wasn't enough for them. Because they have grown up in a world where you WON'T be dishonorably discharged from the military for having a same-sex spouse. They have grown up in a world where you have shows like the new She-Ra or Schitt's Creek or literally fucking anything. And they don't understand the history. How hard we've fought for just what we have. And how quickly it can all be taken away (thanks SCOTUS). Whether they know it or not, those who want us to keep putting ourselves into littler and littler buckets are just trying to separate us so we are NOT a unified community. It is much, much easier to get smaller groups to attack each other than it is to fend off all of those groups united against them. her: It was really upsetting to me, honestly, how quickly it turned into that? Like I was so happy so many were like "let's make an intersecting queer group" because I suppose people weren't shouting that 20yrs ago. And then so fast there was in group "fighting" about, what I feel, was kind of trivial? me: I think it's an important conversation/discussion to have and I do genuinely worry about the future of our rights, and our LIVES, if we don't find more common ground to stand together again. But right now, it feels like everyone is so focused on their own individual portion that they forget we are all here TOGETHER. And only TOGETHER will we make all our lives better and more diverse and accepting. We can't keep pigeon-holing ourselves and allowing small-minded/small-hearted people to force more laws to take more of our lives away. So to those of you out there who are upset about using the word "queer", I'd like you to take some time to do some internal soul-searching. Who benefits from you gatekeeping and attacking other members of your own community? Because representation is important, absolutely, but so is standing together and knowing that EVERY TERM has been used as a slur against us.

I'm seeing a lot of discourse on Badyah saying she's straight. A lot of people interpret her as actually being gay, and a lot of people interpret her as being aro or ace, or aroace. Why not all of the above? She could be on the aro and the ace spectrums and still be sapphic. Maybe demi? I have a best friend that I have a crush on. Something that both of us have pointed out is that I'm a lot like Norma and she's a lot like Badyah. I totally thought she was straight for a couple years too because she said she was straight, but then she realized she is pan and she's reciprosexual because I kept talking about my experiences of being a bi trans person who also happens to be demiromantic and asexual, and I offer my friends a lot of resources and information. I have another best friend who is demiromantic and pan too. Why can't multiple things be true? I think we should be able to get aroace rep and sapphic rep at the same time because they don't cancel each other out, both can exist. I would desperately love to see more aroace characters but showing that those are also spectrums sounds cool to me too. Needing more situations represented where a character initially believes they are straight due to heteronormativity is important whether they are gay or ace or anything else.
