So... the translation on X says "a page of youth and romance". I did read in the comments that it can be translated as "bromance" though.. which falls in line with what we've seen I think. My Korean is level zero, so I'm always hesitant when it comes to these things.

Your "feeding" actually inspired my former post about Jm and Jk feeding Jkkrs. I think we've all been talking a lot about fanservice, feeding, real connections, company content, etc.. a lot these last couple of months. No wonder with one side of fandom wanting the JmJk travel show to be a romantic private getaway, and the rest of us seeing that this wasn't that. I mean, there's obviously a team with them, plans were made.. there is no way around that.

I think what's most likely, is that Jm thought about what he wanted to do for army. Somehow the idea of doing a travel show with Jk reëntered his thoughts, he got excited, Jk got excited, the company got real excited and made it happen. That's not a bad thing. It does not undermine their friendship if this is what happened. Things can easily be two things at once. So this being for army doesn't mean Jk and Jm aren't also actually close. It being recorded inbetween Jk's promo is perhaps ill timing, but it's also still very possible that Jk really wanted to do it. He loves Jm (platonically.. don't get excited Jkk lurkers), he loves doing stuff for army, he's a hard worker. I think that literally is it.

Now the company involvement is a different thing ofcourse. Because we know they don't shy away from editing stuff a certain way and adding captions that might be suggestive. I think the company definitely plays into shipping and shipping wars.

I mean, as Tkkrs we don't really expect content like this. It's the same way I never expected Jk and Tae to enlist together the way Jm and Jk did. There's just boundaries to what they can do, we know that. Aside from Jkk shenaniganse, I love that Jm and Jk enlisted together. I think they are such a huge source of comfort to each other, and I think knowing they would go together probably soothed some of the unease they were feeling while preparing for this.

About Sydney and the temple (spoilers I guess): personally I like to be generous and think that Sydney, who we know is always wearing a holy pendant, is especially susceptible to outside influences like Auriga, potentially because of their dead parent's association with the temple. Additionally, worth pointing out that drugs are absolutely involved during both the Rite of Defilement & Rite of Promise, probably something similar to what gets used on Robin in the junkyard event, which is the sole Robin noncon event IIRC. Whatever incense the temple burns in the prayer room is a hallucinogenic that "opens the mind," and the "purification" process is explained to be how the temple forces Auriga's influence out of people... so I think by having corrupted sexy times in the special room people go to so they can get all Nine Inch Nails and get closer to (the) god(s), you're basically giving Sydney up on a platter to Auriga. The PC seems to be very similar to Sydney in that sense, given the TFs & Awareness mechanic. I also would like to note that Sydney's purity & Jordan's innocence have heavy overlap with the PC's Innocence state, where your Awareness is so far in the negatives that everything just flies right over your head, no trauma or weird shit here! 🙈🙉🙊 Harper may very well have slow roasted Sydney's brain into something easily influenced, too, after whatever happened to make Sydney possibly end up in the asylum, where Syd likely befriended the Ivory Wraith. We know Harper loves brainwashing- sorry, hypnotizing and drugging people, after all. The role of the asylum seems to be "fixing" people who break down from the constant nasty shit in town into a complacent and unaware state, so they can be further broken down and corrupted. (IMO the whole thing with Sydney possibly previously ending up in the asylum has got to do with why Sirris put the kibosh on Sydney & Kylar seeing each other. Pretty sure that's kind of implied to be the ritual gone wrong. Did Sydney witness what happened to Kylar's parents? I'm actually really curious about whether Kylar is "enlightened" or not, and if maybe that's why they're so... obsessive and weird.) I personally suspect that since Sydney's other parent once held Jordan's position, and Sydney may have accidentally proven themself "gifted" like Jordan & the PC, that is why the temple decided to make Sydney Jordan's successor. Jordan's whole deal seems to be that they are so oblivious to negative influences that they are willing the world into being more normal through sheer force of belief, though that doesn't seem to be working out too perfect for the town... probably because the Ivory Wraith is around, and people like Bailey, Briar, Quinn, and Remy are actively driving the town further and further into Auriga's grasp. Also, the PC exists, and most definitely is a similar sort of willful influence in their own way (hookah parlor), so... I wonder if maybe we're actually proving ourself to either become the Bishop's successor, or replace Sydney as Jordan's successor in the future, with the temple questline... 🤔

In conclusion: the town is caught up in a gang war between two opposing cults, and Sydney's just one more hapless victim like the rest. Just in their own, special way.

it's interesting to think about what could have sent sydney to the asylum... like, did it have to do with the death of their parent? the weird shit that went down with kylar's family? something else entirely? i want to know so bad. also speaking of kylar, I don't think sirris was the one who cut kylar off, I'm pretty sure it was syd's other parent. which makes sense given the context of their position in the temple-- it makes you wonder why their families were friends in the first place. I personally think it has to do with sirris' and kylars parents' connections to elk street (science?? work buddies of some sort???)

i do think sydney's kind of a tragic character, and i think the problems they already have are exacerbated by their circumstances. i don't think their lil outbursts are completely because of outside influence-- i think that they legitimately have a problem with that kind of shit, and that they're probably a lot more fucked up than they let on. i could talk more abt that but this i'm getting off track lmao

the replacing jordan/the bishop point is an interesting one hehe... it would be kinda funny if pc swooped in and replaced jordan instead of sydney, the kid who's been carefully groomed for years into being the ideal puritymaxxed jordan replacement

I will not write anything NSFW. It's just not for me. I'm the most vanilla person to have ever vanilla-ed (and actually get all blushy even writing about a couple kissing, which is why they often just don't in my stories even when they are technically romance. 😅 My sister often teases me that I can really only write one (1) kiss scene which is basically just a line like "And then they kissed." 🙈 I have been trying to prove her wrong and write a little more kissing into my stories but I'll never be the type to write anything steamy. It's just not my personal cup of tea).

🍋 What’s your favorite spicier trope to write?

Again I am beyond vanilla and don't write anything spicy ever, but (and I'm about to embarrass myself here...) my sister swears the spiciest thing I have ever written is a line in which the POV character remembers a multilingual character unwittingly switching languages during a particularly (ahem) heated moment.

And I do like that trope 😳 (though not just in a spicy way!!) [which is why I put that line in there (even though nothing happened on screen in this fic, I swear 🙈)]. As a linguistics major, I've always been fascinated with the science behind the multilingual brain and how it has actually been proven that multilingual people will unconsciously switch languages especially when expressing something with a deep and/or passionate emotion behind it. In this particular instance, this character actually professed his love in Spanish which (at least for him) meant more than expressing it in English because he used "Te Amo" which is a really intense "I love you" (for like your immediate family or your spouse or your soulmate) rather than "Te Quiero" which is more of a general "I love you" for everyone else (i.e. less close family, friends, people you're casually dating ect.). Whereas in English there's only one word for love so it gets overused and its multiple meanings/uses can easily get misinterpreted.

I think my sister's point in saying this is my spiciest line (beyond just poking fun at me for being vanilla & this not being very spicy at all) is that this was an intimate thing to say and this character chose to say this very intimate thing during a heated moment which in itself was intimate therefore making the whole thing even more intimate (or, you know, spicy). But that's about as much as I can do in terms of spicy tropes, I think. 🙈

🍏 Is there something you overuse, whether it’s a certain phrase, trope, or piece of punctuation?

I definitely overuse em-dashes. I usually write "stream of consciousness" so my sentences just run on and on and on. I should probably try to shorten them or at least vary the structure now and then. 😅

I think I also overuse certain phrases specific to whichever character I'm writing (especially if they are the POV character). For instance, Vanessa winks a lot, Langris' mouth twitches in the corners (to show that he's actually having a good time in spite of himself), Finral sheepishly scratches the back of his neck, or my most recent pitfall something aches in Hero's chest every couple of sentences (because he's sad 😔), and I have to edit those out. It's hard for me not to fall into the habit of using the same descriptors for the same characters over and over again.

Yes, exactly. To calm the hearts of readers, it was just that 🤣🤣🤣 after all the conversations with her cousin and the fact of seeing Mark again after so long, the crush she had for him "came back" so for her to understand her own feelings it was necessary to do what she always imagined when she was younger. So yep, it is a payback! Right, if the whole story of the princess kingdom uprising didn't involve the military, even the fact that Mark enlisted wouldn't be a weight for the marriage. Their lives could be very different, but there's no way you can fight with fate. Mark it's a gentleman in all my imagines because I can't picture him different!!! he was with his childhood crush and yet he didn't reciprocate the way he could because he knew it was wrong 😭 I think the spoiler I can give is that things will be less fervent after their wedding and Mark's absence will be the crucial point for the princess to understand more of her own feelings while living with Jeno.

Crew: Everything about them feels forced. Drew forgave her so quickly because they didn't want Carly and drew to have any conflict but they should've let them have conflict for the sake of ✨drama✨. We should seen drew resenting her for dropping him so quickly for Jason and she should've worked to be back in his good graces. I wouldn't have shipped it still because I don't ship anyone with Carly but I would've been like "okay I see why people ship it.🤷"

Auxie and Austin's sl: Auxie have negative chemistry. Like I rather see spixie reunite and I don't particularly care for that pairing anymore.🥴 Austin's sl doesn't intrigue me. It's boring.

Spinelli's sl: Why is this his sl? Honestly who cares about Cody blackmailing spinelli over how he gets his info for the dating app. Honestly the whole sl could've stayed in the drafts.

Michael's revenge: His vendetta against sonny isn't intriguing because nothing is really happening. The sl isn't moving. Like Mikey move your plan along or stfu.🙈Only good thing we've gotten out of this is Dex.🥴

Alexis x Gregory: alexis and Gregory aren't giving me anything. Honestly instead of fiz they should've tried Alexis x Finn again (back when I didn't hate Finn). Or gave her another problematic bf because let's be real Alexis and toxic men go great together.🙈

Sasha's spiral: Sofia is a great crier but enough is enough. Sasha's character is being tortured and it's so depressing to see because they won't let up on heaping misery on her.

Millow: I mean y'all knew it was going to be on the list and I've posted too many times over the past years about how they don't work for me. All I'm going to say is TreeJ needs to rise up ����

Rorina: Rory is a non character. We only know that he's a cop who makes brownies, will only spend 50 cents on you for a soda, and will put his badge above you and snitch on your mama. Y'all I was so hyped for this love triangle because I actually wanted someone who could compete against Spencer for Trina's heart and yet we got Rory instead.😒 (It should've been Dex or cam🙈)

Jex: No chemistry. I didn't fuck with Caoss because they had no chem and looked like siblings and won't ship Jex for that same reason.🤷

Josslyn: I try so hard to like her but maybe I should just accept that I don't.😂 She has her moments where I go "lol, Joss your right." But otherwise she's just not my cup of tea.

Olivia: She is utterly annoying about this Nina mess. I can understand she's mad on Carly's behalf but why won't the writers have her be mad on Dante's and Rocco's behalf? That makes way more sense than her hate for Nina being wrapped up in her loyalty for Carly.

Nikolas: I want the man dead and gone, oh but no before the whole town finds out he slept with Esme. I need him dragged and I need for Esme to pop up pregnant and make his life truly miserable then he can "die". Also because Marcus coloma really showed us he doesn't have the range.

Chalynn: This hurt my soul to put them on the list but it's the Truth that their not working. It's not for a lack of chemistry but because of the writing. The PG 13 writing for them sucks and they deserve better.

Sidenote: I'm thinking about making what is working for me list and I just know it's going to be short.😂

I told you so, and it happened! I was gently rejected. 💔 Guess that’s karma for dissing PeteKao -> goodbye brownie points. 🥲 But because I’m a very open minded person (that loves to be proven wrong) -> I promise I will watch the whole franchise again at some point. Maybe then I will like them better; but for now, I think it was the constant (imho unnecessary) misunderstandings that put me off a little bit. (Truth be told, I only watched DBK 🤭 -> perhaps if I had watched Kiss: The Series and Kiss Me Again beforehand I would have enjoyed PeteKao more.) I hope you can still appreciate my input to your inbox; I’m trying really hard here. 😥

And it proves once aGun 🧷 why OffGun is soo well-matched. Tbh, this definitely not my genre, so I can’t say a lot about the execution. (Btw, as far as film in general is concerned, I’m great at analysing screenwriting and to some extent metaphors and scenery -> but as for characters/ actual acting skills, I’m not your gal. 🙈) But as far as my personal opinion went, I liked it a lot. Somehow, it was a lot easier to get into than F4: Thailand. About that, I do actually agree with Thel. It brought up a lot of unwanted memories for me too. And judging from the tag, I think this opinion is shared by a number of people. I can also say as much as that I’m not the only Gorya-Ren shipper on the block. (Typical me: shipping the wrong couple! 🤥)

and actually, i am so sorry for the confusion, but i do not mind violence at all, especially when it's in a stick-it-to-the-man context like with not me or manner of death. it's angst that i hate. half the reason why i chose the name archer is actually because i've been shooting out people's kneecaps with a bow and some arrows in video games since i was 11, so if anything violence is kind of my thing (in fictional settings, of course).

and as for your p.s., i think most queer russians have a pretty complex relationship with that song, but i am glad it made for such a positive experience for you!!
