Okay, here me out, I might be crazy...
...but do you think the Metal Gear Rising boss songs can be applied to the Sith Lords and their allies from Star Wars, specifically the Prequels?
Like, I love these songs. Some of the best boss music ever. And the fact they have character, actual lyrics that relate so heavily to their bosses, is a big part of that. So I like trying to match them up with other characters. With that being said, let’s dive in.
Playlist
Rules of Nature: The theme of a weapon being replaced, a new predator stalking the battlefield, is one that I think can be best applied to, funnily enough, our two resident cyborg generals. Grievous chose to upgrade himself to be superior in combat to the Jedi, and Vader? Well, he might be a paraplegic (EDIT: Sorry, half-cooked and insane paraplegic riding around-) in a shitty tin can, but he’s arguably even stronger in this from than his original body. So I think this song could work for him.
I’m My Own Master Now: Oh, well, this is easy. Who better than the apprentices betrayed, Maul and Ventress? The wolf metaphors may not work as well, but the general message still applies: raised as brutal killers and assassins, before each forging their own paths: Ventress, the life of a free hunter, and Maul, to create his own legacy and empire via Death Watch and the Underworld.
A Stranger I Remain: This could be tricky. A wandering warrior, looking for something to fight for. Is it...weird I associate this with Dooku? Disillusioned with the Jedi, he chose to leave, and in a twisted way, found his place in the Sith (for better or for-nope, wait worse, definitely worse). I could see the argument for Ventress or Grievous, both found by the Sith and took to war like a duck to water.
The Hot Wind Is Blowing: Oof, yeah, I got nothing. A soldier, fighting without praise or glory, a weapon to follow orders, forcing "freedom" onto others. At best Vader, but that’s a stretch.
The Stains of Time: Oh yeah, here we go. Vader and Maul, anyone? Men dead inside, who know only suffering, never peace or happiness. Their only course? To inflict suffering and death. Cheery.
Red Sun: Imagery of a “red sun”, a dawn over a battlefield of blood and death? For a character who glorifies war? General Grievous, knock yourself out.
The Only Thing I Know For Real: A character who has forgotten why he’s still alive and fighting, having possibly forgotten his own name (and Sith do love their monikers), and now fights simply because he does. Vader or Dooku, both have a place here.
Collective Consciousness: A song about control over the people, who let themselves be controlled? Gee, I wonder who (Palpatine) could possibly even (Palpatine) fit such a description (Palpatine).
Hmm...maybe Palpatine?
It Has To Be This Way: And now the finale, one rather difficult because it is about more than one. It’s about the similarities between two people, both who fight for their own reasons. I’d want to get this over with, and say Vader and Luke, but that feels like a cop-out. But then, who else? Dooku and Grievous don’t really have that sort of rival, and neither does Ventress for that matter. Maul? Well, I maybe him and Kenobi, I’m not so sure.
Well, that was fun. Feel free to comment, love to hear some other takes on this.

For prompts, I would like to think that after ventress took off in the ship that had alpha on it, she just kind of left, leaving him on some planet far from the rest of the galaxy. So hes alone, probably injured, and not anywhere close to the GAR or even the separatists. Does he try to get home? Does he just live wherever he is? Whats he thinking now that he's absolutely on his own? Anything with stranded Alpha is 100%
I finally got some inspiration for this one and ran with it, to put it lightly. I’m fairly pleased with how this came out, but I might revisit at some point and rewrite some parts of it.
I’d call this vaguely AU-ish but technically canon compliant.
Please be aware that I have virtually no medical knowledge and more or less came up with it as I went along. But I tried to make it reasonable, so there’s that.
It’s been two years since Alpha-17 has had contact with anyone from the Republic, eighteen months since he took his first steps after the fight with General Grievous, and fifteen since Asajj Ventress dropped him in a backwater town on a planet light-years that’s closer to Wild Space than the Outer Rim.
It’s the sort of town where nobody is anybody and everyone knows someone, about as far from the Republic and the Core as any standard starship can handle. The planet doesn’t even have a name as far as Alpha knows, which suits him fine.
In fact, it’s so isolated from the rest of the galaxy there is no talk of the war. Folks seem more concerned with getting by than invasion from hostile forces. The town - if it even qualifies as such - has been falling apart since the day it was built, or so its quaint citizens like to claim. People keep to themselves here and don't ask questions, which is just as well.
All in all, it’s a far cry from the life he’d known. But it’s for the best; the life he’d known and the person he’d been seem stranded behind an impenetrable veil. Most days it doesn’t take much to convince himself there is no way to reclaim what he’s lost.
(What happened to you? Alpha thinks when restlessness and uncertainty set in despite himself and sleep eludes him.)
(Uncertainty where there was once conviction, hesitation in place of tenacity, desolation rather than something like hope.)
The sparring matches are hardly anything to brag about - a collection of untrained, undisciplined freighter pilots and merchants who don’t have much else to occupy their time after selling hours - but even now he finds himself unable to stay in one place for long.
(Stay in motion, keep looking forward, and maybe it will bring him back.)
It doesn’t take much negotiating to get himself in the ring. His performance would appall even the youngest cadets in Tipoca, but here - a town that doesn’t exist - it’s enough to get him in on the action he sorely missed.
They don’t know his name. It doesn’t matter, really. For the first time he’s beginning to see who he might be outside of the war.
(It’s not what Alpha wants for himself, but what choice does he have?)
__________________
His opponent isn’t much older than him, brash and eager to prove himself. He moves in an over exaggerated way that plainly suggests he doesn’t consider Alpha to be much competition.
But Alpha has ample experience in cutting opponents down to size, and as they circle each other, he feels a rush of confidence. It may not come close to taking on a platoon of battle droids or going toe-to-toe with a Gen’Dai bounty hunter, but it’s enough to spark the energy he’s been lacking.
He lets the kid make the first move. True to his intuition, the first pass is a poorly planned head-on charge that only requires a neat sidestep to avoid. His opponent stumbles past, leaving himself completely open to an attack from behind, but Alpha isn’t in the mood to end this quickly. Now that he’s begun to recover his old spirit, he wants to see how far he can go.
The kid seems baffled when Alpha doesn’t make a move. It’s clear he’s accustomed to the usual uncoordinated exchange of blows from hotheaded opponents. Alpha doubts he’s ever gone up against a rival with any semblance of proper training, let alone an ARC trooper.
His opponent makes another valiant attempt to knock him off balance. Alpha shifts his weight without moving his feet and sends the kid to the floor. There’s jeers and calls for him to finish it then and there, but Alpha doesn’t waver. He knows exactly what he’s doing, and no nat-born freighter pilot from the shebs end of the galaxy is going to get in his head.
The kid has grit if nothing else; he’s pushed himself to his feet again and assumed what passes as a defensive stance. It’s enough of an invitation for Alpha to take the offensive. He doesn’t miss the flash of fear in the kid’s eyes, and it’s with a sense of satisfaction that he plants one foot to lunge towards his adversary -
But his leg collapses with the motion. Alpha is sent sprawling, palms scuffing the floor in his effort to redirect before he loses his balance entirely. His body refuses to cooperate, and for one terrifying moment he’s unable to push himself to his feet.
This wasn’t supposed to happen!
It can’t be much more than a handful of seconds, but a range of emotions sear through him so fast he can hardly distinguish between them. Fear and humiliation overpower the rest, but it’s the overwhelming sense of vulnerability that drives him to his feet.
Alpha prepares to launch another attack - this will end on his terms one way or another. But the kid knows where he’s weak now and gets behind him, aims for his legs. Alpha whirls, but between that and the jarring kick delivered to his knee, he’s soon on the ground once again.
Caught between fury - at himself more than his opponent, who had simply recognized his chance and taken it - and disbelief, Alpha doesn’t bother trying for one last strike.
Wouldn’t Fett be proud, he thinks savagely a while later, gritting his teeth as he cleans the dirt and blood from his arms. One of his own, getting his shebs handed to him light-years away from the Outer Rim. An ARC trooper at his best.
He’s torn from his thoughts by a man dressed in a ragged flight suit clapping him on the shoulder. “No shame in it,” he says bracingly. “Happens to all of us at some point.”
Alpha shrugs him off. “To you, maybe.”
They don’t know who he is, and he can’t help thinking it’s a relief after tonight’s disgrace.
“You’re not half bad,” the man assures. “Just off your game, I’d say.”
“Thanks for the assessment,” Alpha grumbles.
The man peers at him. “Skills like that, you must’ve been someone before you wound up here.”
Alpha hesitates before admitting, “I was a soldier for a while.”
“That so? We heard about a war from time to time, but nothing ever reached us here,” the man says thoughtfully.
Alpha still finds it hard to wrap his mind around that: people going about their lives without any indication that the rest of the galaxy was being torn to shreds.
“I wouldn’t know,” he mutters.
He pushes through the door and into the night. The air is heavy with rain here, clinging to his skin and lodging in his throat when he breathes in. Even the lights from ships passing overhead are dimmed by the thick fog that hangs over the town.
His legs burn the further he walks, but Alpha continues on anyways. He’s not ready for everything to catch up with him just yet.
Is that what you’re doing, then? Running away?
He grimaces at the thought. Two years ago the very suggestion would be enough to provoke him; it’s not any less piercing now, but there’s too much truth in it for him to be angry.
Why are you so afraid? he wants to know. You get hurt once and you’re done?
(It’s more than that, but Alpha doesn’t have the energy to delve deeper.)
Just let go of the fear. It’s not doing you any favors.
(If only it was that easy.) ___________________________
It’s an arduous process, but Alpha thinks he might learn to adjust to this new life.
The medics can only do so much for an injury inflicted by a lightsaber; he’s come to accept that. It’s a blow to his pride, but he’s resolved to make something of the situation. Feeling sorry for himself won’t get him anywhere.
So he learns to live with the wound, with the loss of independence that comes with it. It’s unlikely he’ll ever see field service again, but a soldier is more than his skills.
Stranger than his new way of life is the presence of Asajj Ventress.
He doesn’t trust her - can never trust her, not after Rattatak - but she seemed sincere in her renouncement of the Dark Side of the Force. She leaves him to his devices for the most part; whether it’s an effort to put him at ease or unconscious avoidance, he can’t say for sure.
But it’s a small ship. When they do cross paths, there’s little conversation between them. Alpha hasn’t discounted her as a threat, and she knows it. So he’s taken aback when she approaches him one day.
He meets her gaze squarely, not bothering to conceal the knife on his belt. He may not be fully recovered from his ill-fated fight with General Grievous, but he can still take down an enemy in a number of ways.
“You’re looking better,” she says, watching him carefully.
He won’t let her go that easily. “Time was you’d have slit my throat if it served your purposes.”
“That was a different time.” She looks away, and an expression he can’t quite decipher crosses her face. “I was a different person.”
“No, you weren’t. But the circumstances were different,” Alpha allows.
She lapses into silence. Then she takes a deep breath. “You know I can heal you.”
It’s Alpha’s turn to look away. “I don’t need your help.”
She moves as if to put a hand on his arm but pulls back before she brushes his skin. “Let me try.” _____________________
Alpha jolts awake in a cold sweat. The image of Grievous towering over him, lightsabers poised to strike, fades as he tries to steady his breath.
He pushes himself up with a sigh. He’s woken from such dreams too often lately to be optimistic about falling asleep again.
Alpha straps a knife to his hip and makes his way outside to resume his earlier wanderings. It can’t be much later than 0300; the streets are empty, and even the incoming freight traffic has slowed.
He chooses a route out of the town. The area is surrounded by a range of low-rising mountains, so he sets his sight on the nearest peak. It won’t be easy on a half-healed body, but maybe that will be enough to distract him from his thoughts for a while.
The sun has risen by the time he reaches the summit. The town looks impossibly small from here - it would be swallowed by the likes of Coruscant or Tipoca City. He suspects even the smallest outposts on Mandalore are livelier.
I can’t stay.
It’s no good letting himself drift further and further away from the Republic. He serves no purpose here; even if the Republic is rotting from the inside out, he belongs with his brothers.
I’ll find a way back.
Alpha gazes out at the town, and for the first time he feels a glimmer of hope. Getting out of here won’t be an easy task, but he has a goal now. And although he can’t say for sure what awaits him, he's determined to meet it.
Adapt and overcome.
Cin vhetin.

Do the three ship questions meme for Grievous/Ventress, please
OOOOOOOHOOHOOHOO
YES. SHIP IT.
1. What made you ship it?
Okay, so. In the 2008 Clone Wars animated series, there is an episode where they end up on the same mission, attacking Kamino. They have some of their only moments of interaction during this episode, and while brief, it’s all really interesting. BUT. At a certain point, they meet face-to-face and have a little chat. And Ventress being Ventress, she flirts with him the same way she does with everyone. But ME. I took it and RAN with it. Seeing them interact in a collaborative (albeit dysfunctional) way was a taste of something great, and I wanted so much more than canon gave me. It’s also kind of out of a desire to see the prequel storyline end in a way that doesn’t kill off almost everyone. And I can achieve that by having them team up to kill Palpatine/Sidious, because that fucker’s responsible for basically everything.
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
THE BANTER. There would be so much snark between these two at first, and then to see it gradually reflect camaraderie, friendship, and eventually love? WHERE DO I SIGN? I also just love how they could wind up flirting while sparring, while fighting others, it’s just so good. And don’t even get me started on the concept of two traumatized people working in perfect tandem to get their revenge on those who’ve taken unfair advantage of them. I see these two work together to destroy their enemies and I’m just
YES KILLING AND VIOLENCE! STABBING AND SLASHING KILL!
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Probably just that I don’t think they’d bone. IDK, man, maybe Ventress’s flirting is performative, or something she does when she feels outmatched to get her enemy/rival to lower their guard. Also even if she legit does wanna bone him, I don’t think he’s properly equipped. (Yes I know there are other ways, lmao, I’m making a joke.)
Also I guess there’s my disagreement with canon. IDK I just. Would much rather see them be allies than sworn enemies. They’re just more interesting that way to me. That being said I wouldn’t really want to see canon attempt the kind of story I want to see with them. At this rate, they’d turn them into another Reylo.

MBTI: Star Wars
Written by Ryan (archive post from January 30, 2019)
It’s the gift that just keeps giving! And it will, forever, and ever, and…….ever, because of Disney. I can see both good and bad in that. Anyway, here’s another daunting list of characters, this time from Star Wars. Major characters have gotten their own articles. Rey: ISFP (https://goo.gl/p5TKP4) Finn: ENFP (https://goo.gl/bXp2fU) Kylo Ren: ESFP (https://goo.gl/Fh2cSa) Poe Dameron: ESFP (https://goo.gl/rFc6ob)
Luke Skywalker: INFP (separate thread pending) Han Solo: ISTP (separate thread pending) Leia Organa: ESTJ (separate thread pending) Lando Calrissian: ESTP (separate thread pending) Obi Wan Kenobi: ENFJ (separate thread pending) Yoda: INFJ (separate thread pending) Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker: ISTJ (separate thread pending) Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious: ENTJ (https://bit.ly/2B8rzk4) Darth Maul: ISTP (separate thread pending) Qui-Gon Jinn: ENFP (separate thread pending)
Ahsoka Tano: ENFP (separate thread pending)
More Below
PREQUELS
Padme Amidala: ESFJ Padme is the most prominent ESFJ in the saga (aside from C3PO), and she’s portrayed by Natalie Portman with……..wooden acting. How ironic. The basic white girl of the saga is reduced to a monotone delivery in the first film. Who knew the Queen had to act like such a dingus so that her body double would have an easier time imitating her? If you think about it, it’s pretty genius. That being said, Fe is the name of the game here for Padme, as she’s primarily concerned with the needs and wants of those around her, and often champions for social causes due to her role as a senator later on in the films. The Clone Wars series amplifies her primary Fe and secondary Si, as she fights to restore the Republic to its glory days.
Count Dooku: INFJ No one got tricked harder by Palpatine’s schemes than Dooku did. Darth Tyranus himself wanted nothing more than for the Separatists to restore a rightful order to the galaxy (in his eyes), free from the corruption of the Jedi and the Republic. Even as he was in on most of Palpatine’s grand plans from the start, he was unaware of his master’s true deception towards him until his final seconds.
It’s only fitting that the gentlemanly villain of the saga, and even more fitting that he wanted Obi-Wan as his apprentice (another xNFJ), to usurp Palpatine. Count Dooku is basically the Ra’s Al Ghul of Star Wars.
Jar-Jar Binks: ESFP My favorite character! Just kidding. But really, Jar-Jar ain’t all that bad; he’s just an annoying ESFP. Jar-Jar lives primarily in the moment as a comic relief goober that bares little-to-no importance to the plot, except for the crowning moment where he facilitates the senate to give Chancellor Palpatine emergency powers. Oh, now you’ve got a reason to hate him.
Mace Windu: ENTJ “George……I want a purple lightsaber. Pleeaaaase?”
Unfortunately, Samuel L. Jackson himself never got to utter his catchphrase as he portrayed a more stoic ENTJ this time around. Mace Windu, known in the Legends continuity for his infamous Shatterpoint technique (very Te-based), gifts a strategic mindset to the Jedi council. He’ll often say things for how they are in a Te-based manner (but with a little more tact), such as when he states that Anakin is too old to be trained when Qui-Gon presents him to the council. And then he’ll sometimes give us some one liners, such as “this party’s over.” But the signifier of Te-Ni? When he proposes to execute Palpatine because he is too dangerous.
Jango Fett: ISTP Jango Fett? Neevah houd uf ‘im. But what about Boba? Rest aside, Jango Fett just cares about the fat stacks he gets from being a clone template so he can be the best dad in the galaxy there is, and he don’t care who pays him. Sounds pretty ISTP to me.
General Grievous: ESTJ Hello there! Our favorite coughing cyborg general turns out to be an ESTJ. Through primary Te, he barks out orders to his subordinates, often impatiently. It’s like he knows you knew how to do it but screwed up, which is a superpower that ESTJs have and will use to pounce on you and your failures.
Grievous himself is a natural boaster, like any ESTJ. Your GIFs will make a fine addition to his collection!
ORIGINAL TRILOGY
Tarkin: ESTJ Roll your R’s! Heighten your received pronunciation! Peter Cushing is here to add some Britishness to your Star Wars! Tarkin stands as one of the most brilliant tactical minds the Empire has known (rivaled only by Grand Admiral Thrawn). But he is also one of the governors/administrators of the Empire, and it is because of this reason that he has become known for his Te, dishing out orders with an elegant terror. ESTJ it is, folks.
Boba Fett: ISTP Fact: Boba Fett survives the Sarlacc Pit in both continuities. A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. Everyone’s favorite character, Boba Fett, is just like his father (an ISTP); his allegiances do not matter as long as his employers pay him fat stacks. Unless he has to work with Han Solo. Archenemies do not get along that well. The everchanging neutrality of the ISTP is displayed most importantly in the Legends continuity, in one story where Fett himself turned on Vader and dueled with a lightsaber (successfully), when it wasn’t in his own interests to side with Vader.
R2D2: ENTP I’m always under the theory that if we could hear R2D2 speak, he’d be swearing ¼ of the time. This wisecracking little astromech droid always comes up with creative solutions when in a bind, all the while wising off to C3PO in the process. Sounds like Ne to me, right? But more importantly, the moral of the story for most ENTPs to learn is a little common sense and to sit back and think things through a little more. Sure they have excellent reasoning abilities on the spot, but would R2 have ended up in a Jawa sandcrawler if he hadn’t smarted off to Threepio in the desert and abandoned him? He may have had a “mission,” but he could have let Threepio in on it.
C3PO: ESFJ Like a true ESFJ, goldenrod here never learns to shut his mouth. The ESFJ will blab on and on about small talk and things no one cares about, which is often why C3PO gets interrupted all of the time when he explains what he does or where he has been. Much to his annoyance, too. Because he’s a protocol droid, his Fe is slanted to please others, and this is why we have the perfect ESFJ in this galaxy far, far away.
Chewbacca: ISFJ Can Chewbacca really be typed? I think so! Just because we don’t hear him speaking anything, doesn’t mean he can’t be! Solo: A Star Wars Story did a really good job of fleshing out Chewie’s character, giving him motives and ambitions. Such as, his desire to free his people in the spice mines of Kessel. That moment signaled one of the few times that Chewie would act impulsively, to me, and it reeked of ISFJ.
Jabba the Hutt: ESTP Big shot gangster, you say? That’s pretty clear-cut, ESTP. And we see this in Return of the Jedi; Jabba just sits around on his butt indulging in sensual pleasures, changing his mind in deals quite often. He’s a reasonable man, since he uses Ti. In A New Hope, we see the way he deals with Han Solo, and he restrains his displeasure in the hopes of giving him another chance to pay him back. ESTPs, with their tertiary Fe, can often do this, although their patience will ultimately wear thin in the long run.
Wedge Antilles: ISTJ Wedge is your basic everyman, like any ISTJ there is. Does he have much of a personality to him? Not really, but from what I’ve seen of him, he reeks of ISTJ.
THE CLONE WARS
Asajj Ventress: ISFP Ventress has been burned in life before, so it’s easy to assume that she could be an ISTP based upon her cold, sarcastic exterior. However, upon further examination, ISFP seems to fit far better. Ventress lives wholly for the moment, so it would be easy to think maybe she could be an Se-user. However, her biting comebacks that she displays are a very common trait from many other fictional ISFPs, who, when unhealthy, can show a lack of morality when it comes to their enemies and this is displayed in their inferior Te which manifests as either a childish outburst or a calm and collected burn. Her primary Fi is displayed with her sense of purpose with the Nightsisters, fueled by revenge against Dooku. In the New Canon novel Dark Disciple, we see the cold exterior melt a little bit in Ventress’ newfound romance with Quinlan Vos, and we finally see her inch toward becoming a healthier ISFP.
Captain Rex: ISTJ Rex is a simple man, and our main conduit upon which to view the clone troopers who chose not to obey Order 66, all due to a little thing called tertiary Fi. ISTJs are like big cuddly goobers sometimes, and Rex is quite the example sometimes, especially in his appearances in Rebels.
Mother Talzin: INFJ All Talzin wanted was her revenge on Palpatine for double-crossing her and taking her son Darth Maul, ultimately for the Nightsisters to prosper. She wanted power in the galaxy, but even Palpatine saw through her lunacy and said nah. Sometimes, because of their imaginations getting the best of them through Ni-Fe-Ti, the INFJ can seem a little bit delusional. And Mother Talzin seems pretty INFJ to me.
Hondo Ohnaka: ESTP Hondo Ohnaka loves to party, and he loves making material gains out of any situation possible; this only proves that he is ESTP. He’ll ally with you, and then betray you if the reward is greater, and this is fueled by Se as he sees infinite possibilities in the present moment. With secondary Ti, he’ll always choose the right words for the right purposes to weasel his way out of situations, and with tertiary Fe, he’ll also treat even his enemies in a cordial manner!
Cad Bane: ISTP The most grizzled and seasoned bounty hunter there ever was between Jango and Boba Fett’s dominance, Cad Bane means business and business means credits. And if you eff it up, he’ll get mad, because he only cares about himself and his payday, which is a common stereotype of many ISTP bounty hunters in fiction. The severely underdeveloped inferior Fe that he has explains his cold personality toward not only his enemies, but his fellow bounty hunters. And with his quick strategical mind informed through primary Ti, which also fuels his own sardonic wit, Cad Bane is an easy ISTP.
Savage Opress: ISTP There isn’t a whole lot of character development for Savage Opress, but he makes a terrible user of Fe (with the exception of his brother Maul), which is the inferior function of ISTPs. So I’m just going with ISTP here for Savage.
SEQUELS
Captain Phasma: ISTJ Phasma, portrayed by the lovely Gwendolyn Christie, has always managed to keep this air of coolness to her character despite being punked by Finn twice and surviving the explosion of a planet (and possibly a spaceship; we’ll find out in episode IX). Phasma herself is an ISTJ in the best possible way, and we find this out about her character in her work ethic which is displayed in the novels and comics of the new Disney canon. The wild extents of her tertiary Fi is explored more vividly in these new-canon works.
General Hux: ESTJ General Hux hates Kylo Ren (secretly) for his whining, immaturity, and overall terrible leadership skills, and the fact that Snoke clearly favors Ren compared to himself when it comes to leadership. What can we learn from such an ESTJ character? Well, we can learn that unhealthy ESTJs are prone to loud, angry outbursts and shouting matches when their patience wears thin (that which they run low on almost daily). The unhealthy ESTJ is also known for sucking up to their superiors while they ironically continue on to treat their subordinates terribly, such as the case when Hux sucks up to Snoke, or Kylo Ren when he usurps leadership. It is only because of Snoke’s protection that Hux was allowed to say whatever he wanted to Ren, and now that Snoke is gone, well……that’s an interesting dynamic to see in Episode IX to come.
Rose Tico: ISFJ Booooo! An ordinary type for an ordinarily character in Rose Tico.
Snoke: ENTJ We still know literally nothing about him, and quite honestly, I’m fine with that for the next few years. In The Force Awakens, he seemed quite the INTJ in his tiny amount of screentime. However though, he shows a much more charismatic side more indicative of a loony ENTJ. Those gold bathrobes……utter tertiary Se. And what differentiates Snoke from Palpatine, is a slightly more charismatic side that manifests itself in his speech, almost like he can’t get enough of his own voice (a trait also manifested by unhealthy ENTPs, but in a slightly different way), signifying ENTJ more than INTJ.
Maz Kanata: ENTP Maz Kanata is quite the character, being the leader of a den of space pirates and other equally colorful characters. And Han and Chewie seem to love her. Maz is ENTP; making quips about Chewie being her boyfriend, being the “guy who knows a guy” (like Cosmo Kramer of Seinfeld, another ENTP) with the Master Codebreaker, and going on wacky space adventures in her free time, as seen in her hologram in The Last Jedi. Mature ENTPs can add a large amount of wisdom to variety of experiences they’ve seen in their long lives, and it’s no wonder the screen sizzles when Maz is on it.
ROGUE ONE
Jyn Erso: ISFP It’s becoming a real trend, isn’t it? Female ISFPs in Star Wars? Never tell me the odds! Jyn Erso, like many other ISFPs, exhibits a “once burned, twice shy” mentality that often causes her to be reluctant to declare loyalty to anyone or even be involved in conflict. Like The Dude (an ISFP) from The Big Lebowski, and almost all other ISFPs, Jyn Erso doesn’t want to take a stake in any side of any conflict. She just wants her dad.
Cassian Andor: ISTJ It’s a pretty simple conclusion that Cassian Andor happens to be an ISTJ. As a higher ranking official in the Rebel Alliance (I presume?), it’s no wonder that he wants to follow orders first and foremost and eliminate Galen Erso, because his very own Si-Te is on overdrive. But then, the Fi hits. Oh, what the hell, Rogue One it is. Hello, Scarif!
K-2SO: INTP He’s the droid with the sassy wit! He’s gotta be ENTP, right? Nah, I think K2 is an INTP. Because most of his dialogue and humor revolves around skepticism, I’m going to stereotypically label him as an INTP. It just seems right, and I’m getting quite lazy right now.
Orson Krennic: ENTJ He’s the director of a project. That almost immediately indicates ExTJ, right? It does. And boy, what a massive amount of Te he has. With the amount of balls it takes for him to stand up to Tarkin, let alone run off to Darth Vader to tattle on him, I would say that it only signifies Krennic as an ENTJ, because an ESTJ would never have those balls unless they were given them by a higher up or through experience (ex. Tarkin). And why does he have Ni? First of all, he has a vision, and he’s sick and tired of a bureaucrat such as Tarkin taking credit for his accomplishments and then also taking control, something the ENTJ never wants to relinquish. And also, he’s got quite the fiery-hot temper.
Galen Erso: INTJ Galen is a bit reserved and dad-like (his purpose in this film too), and very healthy INTJs, like Galen, are kinda like that. He’s a very realistic portrayal of one that’s closer to real life INTJs. That being, his tertiary Fi is well-developed in that he was willing to betray the Empire and build a flaw in the Death Star.
SOLO
Tobias Beckett: ESTP “Didn’t I tell you never to trust anyone, Han?” Spoken like a true ESTP mentor, through tertiary Fe. As TV Tropes would put it, Beckett is another character that exemplifies the “Heel Face Revolving Door” trope, in which the character constantly switches allegiances throughout the story. A common stereotype of many slimy ESTPs are their tendency to switch sides for their own benefit, due to their primary Se and Ti. Just look at Lando in the beginning. That old scoundrel.
Qi’ra: ISTJ While not so mature as a youth on Corellia (is anyone ever, actually?), Qi’ra later comes into her own type over the years as she matures and we get to see her primary Si in action as she makes reasonable, considerable choices amongst the entire Millenium Falcon crew through the film. And Si is one for order and loyalty; that is, until the ISTJs Fi eventually gets the best of them in the second or third act and they have a change of heart. In this case, it’s her turning on Vos.
L3-37: INFP Freedom for droids! Sound like anyone you know? Probably that Social Justice Warrior or extremely passionate Fi-user that you know in real life. You know, like an INFP or an ISFP (morely likely an INFP though). The rest of you that are just as knowledgeable in MBTI, you can fill in the blanks and you’d probably agree with me on this one.
Dryden Vos: ESTJ Again, all he cares about is the money and the pleasures. So, another xSTP crimelord/bounty hunter stereotype? Actually not this time. Initially, I thought he was an ESTP due to this. However, the scene where Beckett reveals his true colors in the con and Vos temporarily offers an implied allegiance to Han to get him, only to turn on him when Beckett leaves, signifies a key difference between the ESTP and the ESTJ. While the ESTP may go forward and stick with the allegiance, the ESTJ will more than likely feign it. And the ESTJ will sometimes do anything and accept any methods to get the job done (tertiary Ne), but ultimately dish out order in the end after the parties and dust have settled, returning to the old status quo (or rarely, starting a new one). To be honest, I’m still thinking about this one. I might go back and change Vos to an ESTP. Who knows, in time.
GENERAL
Darth Plagueis: INTP Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the INTP? I thought not. It’s not a story Enneagram would tell you. It’s an MBTI legend. Darth Plagueis was an INTP so powerful and so wise he could use his primary Ti to influence the midichlorians to create…… life. He had such a knowledge of MBTI that he could even keep the ones he cared about from calling themselves an intuitive when they were a sensor, or convince an INTJ that MBTI was not baloney. The dark side of the INTP is a pathway to many abilities, some consider to be unnatural. Eventually, he became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his Ti, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his ENTJ apprentice MBTI, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.
Iden Versio: ISTJ I swear, this series churns out ISTJs like an assembly line. With Iden Versio, I hadn’t played Battlefront II, but I’d only seen a few cutscenes on YouTube to know that she’s another ISTJ. For my reasoning, just like at Cassian Andor above; it’s pretty much the same, except for an even greater amount of tertiary Fi from Versio.
Grand Admiral Thrawn: INTJ And now for the last but not least, most interesting character in the entire saga: Thrawn. And while his type is nothing but obvious, it’s interesting to delve into. Unfortunately, I don’t have all the time in the world to grant him his own separate post, so a paragraph or two will do. As an INTJ, what separates him from an ENTJ is tertiary Fi, and as small as it is, it’s still there. Versus being almost non-existent in unhealthy ENTJs. This allows him a more suave, cool demeanor, almost gentlemanly and noble, versus the ENTJ’s “I’ll only display that attitude because I’m sociable and charismatic, but I won’t be it” demeanor. In the Thrawn trilogy in Legends, Thrawn is more considerate to his subordinates and his partners, such as Jorus C’Boath (giving him Luke Skywalker), than Palpatine ever was to anyone. More often than not, when an INTJ makes a promise, you can bet they’ll stick with it.

Hope for a Fallen Sith
An end to an era, that’s what this was as the ripples through the force continued to come. A Jedi’s death every second, every minute and every hour. Maul couldn’t think of anything better or satisfying, if only he had been the one pulling the strings. But no, he had been cast aside, left to rot like unwanted trash.
A bitterness grew within the former Sith Apprentice as he snarled, tightening his grip on the vessels control panel. Fueling himself with all the more hatred for what had occurred to him and no one else.
His minds eye sought only one thing, Obi Wan. Revenge was at his heart and it was all he could care to think of, but alas he feared the worst. Now that the orders had been given and every Jedi alongside padawan, was presumed dead by now. If any survivors they would be snuffed out by the darkside no doubt about it.
An emptiness filled Mauls heart as he looked at the flickering stars and blue hue of the sky while still stuck in hyper space. For the first time in a long time he truly felt alone, with no true course and no one to tell him what to do. Meanwhile the overhanging threat that took hold of the galaxy created more problems. Maul knew he would have to be much more careful from here on out.
All of his crime syndicates had gone into hiding, there was no point in trying to reach out to them with such a new threat now looming over the galaxy. Even using the force would need to be limited for fear of Darth Sidious discovering him again, or worse his new apprentice, Darth Vader.
Finally coming out of hyper space, Maul looked down at the crimson planet that he had set his course for. Dathomir. it was his only place to go, the only place he felt he could feel even remotely safe on. For however long that safety would last that is.
Not only that but it was never under the control of the Republic and seemed to far off for the new Empire to take control of the planet that had little to few civilizations on it.
Perhaps it was his legacy, his inheritance calling him back here to this very place he should have called home. Alas it was just instinct to return back here. Soaring his ship in slowly to the worlds atmosphere, Maul was reminded of his last visit here. Talzin...His birth Mother. Although he knew almost little to nothing of her, he certainly would take advantage of such a title as her son. Landing the ship in the thicket of the forest, his yellow eyes glanced around from the safety of the ship as if he was prepared for another ambush.
Last time he had been here, there had been nothing good that occurred and he was sure Sidious had taken over the area. Yet no signs of life seemed to be out there. Nothing but the horrible crimson hue of the planet. It took Maul several minutes before his paranoia set aside and his pride finally kicked in.
The idea of taking over his former home and the place he did wish he had grown up in. Sure Sidious had shown him the side of a jedi, the side to be a hero, but as a nightbrother? As the son of Talzin? The nightbrothers and nightsisters were not known for their friendly and comforting ways. Perhaps if things had of been different, Maul could have grown up just as strong and powerful, maybe even more powerful, then he had as a Sith.
For it was not the comfort of family or his Mother, let along his past brother, but rather the comfort in knowing that whoever was left here was going to die by his hands and he would rule alone in the temple Talzin had built. There were no nightsisters left to protect this place, only ghosts of the past and the past was long forgotten to Maul. For now at least.
Moving from the comfort of the shuttles chair and lowering the ramp, Maul exited the ship with a cautious stride. One hand was itching to grab the hilt of his lightsaber that was now lost to him.
“ We’ll keep our eyes out, sir “ a voice echoed from within the darkness of the foliage.
It was robotic, following orders like a good little solider. Maul knew all too well who it was, just a bunch of droids. It was possible that Sidious had foreseen Mauls escape and wanted to ensure that Maul did not survive this purging.
Instantly Maul snarled as his instincts almost turned primal, he had enough of these pests getting in his way and their stupidity. Without thinking Maul grabbed for his ‘lightsaber’ only to grasp at the air. Inwardly cursing the fact he had lost his saber when he had been captured and was now left with nothing but the force. Again.
Feeling through the force, Maul knew his enemy was maybe a few hundred feet away, so a much more stealthy approach was perhaps better, or he could do what he is truly good at? Cause some Chaos.
Through the force he did not sense Grevious, a good sign for him. With little to no care Maul walked with a much more faster and eager stride as he wasted no time in doing what he loved most.
Unaware of the loom threat, a small group of droids remained within the area. Their orders were crystal clear. Remain in the area, survey the environment and ensure Talzin was not brought back and no Nightsisters such as Ventress returned. Snuff out the last hope for those that might just try to revive something that could possibly rival the Sith other then the Jedi.
The platoon consisted of at least 20 or so members. All of which had set up a suitable camp within the area. After all the others had been taken to the battle of Coruscant with Grevious. Taking samples and artifacts for both Grievous and Sidious as had been ordered. However it didn’t matter how many there was or how good the camp area was, they had never fought a Sith and even though Maul was no longer an apprentice he still followed the principles and teaching of a Sith.
Using the force, Maul savagely dragged a droid closer to him before crushing its head with the force. The others became alarmed and began their formation attack. The crushed droids became a weapon as Maul hurled it towards others, knocking them down. Moving through the blaster fire without being hit, Maul grinding his teeth and with all that primal rage that had built up inside of him over the past few hours, Maul decimated the droids.
The fight didn’t last very long, what was left was nothing but smoke and debris from the fight. Maul made quick work of them all, thankful he did not have to encounter any droidekas. Ensuring that all laid in pieces of rubble, Maul finally set his crimson gaze upon the temple Mother Talzin had left behind. Ruined by the previous and recent fights that had occurred. Leaving behind nothing but old scares and fresh wounds. Maul softly hummed, appeased with the destruction he had done to a small faction of nothingness.
With a deep breath in, Maul narrowed his eyes on the open mouth of the statue before turning his gaze towards the sky. Night was beginning to set in, and he best be prepared for whatever lurked in the dark besides himself.
Entering the dark dank temple, there was nothing but stale air and remnants of the former fights. The sight of artifacts spiked an interest in Maul. He had to admit his time on Mandalore deserved to be remembered, perhaps Maul could add to these artifacts with his own time and rule.
Before he can do such a thing thought, Maul knew he had to re-establish his connections and mind. By now Maul had been made Lord of the criminal syndicates out there. Perhaps it was time for a new one.
“ Crimson Dawn...Sounds ideal “ Maul muttered to himself as he took a seat on the cold floor, crossing his legs and appearing to meditate. Yes he could still be a lord while in hiding, he could still be powerful without Sidious finding him.
A low and primal grunt came from Maul. For this would be a new era for him as well. One he believed he was destined to rule. And while he would grow to be the leader behind Crimson Dawn, he knew he could and would use his crime syndicate to find him! Kenobi!

NOBODY on the Republic side knows about Dooku’s coma except Palpatine. The Separatists are all trying very hard to convince people that their charismatic, hella powerful leader is still totally kicking. Yep. The Count is definitely alive and just lurking around the corner to fight the next scary Jedi.
Ventress, Maul, and Grievous together manage to take out Palpatine with the combined forces of their frankly batshit plans, because he no longer has an in regarding Separatist plans since nobody tells Nute Gunray things, and Good Ol’ Sheev isn’t arranging his own kidnappings now, this is just happening, he has to pull out his own sabers in an attempt to fight off eight lightsabers from three individuals of varying hingedness, which is caught on camera because reasons, and there are a lot of questions flying around but Ventress and Maul posed on the corpse to scream about the Rule of Two so everyone’s now pretty sure that not only was Palpatine genuinely a Sith Lord, but that Ventress’s weird rampage to Coruscant for purposes of Murder was actually her cutting the knot on not being a proper Sith Apprentice by killing her Master’s Master because she was tired of Dooku not treating her like the dangerous young lady that she is.
All three of them get distracted when Obi-Wan shows up, but immediately get into a shouting match with each other about who’s his Real rival.
At some point, Quinlan seduces Ventress to the light side. Nobody’s sure how. They’re also not questioning it too hard.
Dooku wakes up eventually to find out that while he was down with Being Old Disease, his apprentice went and killed his boss and everyone’s hoping he has the answers, up to and including some visiting Jedi.
Because Ventress went and killed the Sith Master and then apparently got bored of being a Sith because she met a hot kiffar dude and so the Sith are now just Dooku and Maul, which are distinctly opposite ends of the Sith Spectrum:
The vaguely evil art collector who got into it for the theory VS Trash monster who’s obsessive about the murder of one (1) individual and will rave about it endlessly
Maybe Dooku looks at that situation and just decides that, no, actually, he’s going to retire. Ventress is gone, because she threw away the war she’d literally just won to boink a Jedi, so that’s a bust. Grievous can go do whatever, Dooku doesn’t care.
So now it’s just Maul.
Still chasing Obi-Wan.
Still screaming.
AU where Dooku has a heart attack and ends up in a coma because of Old Man Syndrome and Ventress becomes incidentally in charge of the entire Separatist Army but nobody TOLD HER Sidious's identity and when he reaches out, she doesn't like his tone and cuts the call before he can convince her he's her boss's boss, so she just runs the army HER way, which is still a comprehensive war effort against the Republic and devastating to the Jedi, but in a way that really doesn't help the Sith Plot.
Ventress: I'm going to be a problem.
Obi-Wan: For us or for the Sith?
Ventress: I'm going to be a problem.
