The Tsunade arc in Naruto drives me crazy … because it makes me want to grab Kishimoto by the collar and shake him like: "you mean to tell me that you actually CAN write interesting and powerful female characters??? you’re telling me that you actually KNOW how to write women who are complicated and messy but still full passion and ambition??? all this time you could do it but you chose NOT TO???????? AND THEN YOU NEVER DID IT AGAIN???"

#whenever I go back to my Naruto phase it always comes with screaming about the female characters #i can’t have one without the others #it’s so frustrating really because all the ladies in Naruto ARE interesting on paper but Kishimoto never does anything #they all have different specialities and fun designs and different vibes #and sometimes you get a glimpse of what could be #but then it just stops #that’s what fandom is for I guess #Tsunade kind of feels like a miracle honestly and even she isn’t a perfect case #i guess it’s a shonen thing but honestly even MHA is way better at this which saying something #maybe I should just rewatch fmab to clean my soul #naruto #tsunade
