Carlisle would be Frankenstein

Emmett as the monster

Oooo Edward would be Velkan

Alice would be Anna

LMAO Jacob would be the friar

Mike as that Hyde guy in the beginning lol

And Lauren as the grave digger

Aro as Dracula with his helpers Marcus and caius

Though aro is the only one who can’t be harmed by vampire weaknesses like Dracula

And Sulpicia, Athenodora, and Didyme as the brides

They would be like a final resort thing

They’re all trying to make the baby bat army ew

So same storyline lol

I think some changes would be that instead of the brides fighting he would have other vampires

The Volturi guard would be the lil monster that run around to help Dracula

Igor would be Jane and Alec lol

Like how he locked them away in the books I think he would do the same here

So instead of the brides it’s just 3 of aros soldiers

Rosalie is turned into a vampire and Aro sends her Alice’s way like Aleera [her and Alice were best friends]

Esme was turned in order to keep Carlisle working on the monster [she thinks the monster killed Carlisle] + [she gets killed like Verona]

Leah was turned in order to get back at the holy order of knights as she was the main reason Alice and her family were able to get the weapons to fend off Aro and his army [she just wants to go home :( ]

They all hate him but they have to listen to him because of his powers and such

The knights of the holy order would be a group that’s been around for centuries that started as rebellion against aro

The holy order uses the church as a cover up

They have a council of leaders which is Billy Amun and Tanya

The second in command is Angela and Ben who help order around the other “monks”

Tyler and the rest of the friend group as well as some of the shifters as the “monks”

The plot twist I have here is that I’m taking the idea in daybreakers where if they catch on fire by the sun and get put out it cures them as well as makes them a cure

And it gonna be that device the friar made that causes it to cure them :D

But mostly it’s just aro being petty and turning people just to be an asshole

Really is wild when you start to think about what other characters went through during the course of the books that just . . . doesn't matter all that much.

Alice found out how/why she was turned, that she had been hunted by James and a vampire who cared about her turned her to save her and then died protecting her. That's a lot. And then in New Moon she finds out her father had her committed to an asylum and the date on her supposed gravestone matches the date on the admission papers. Also a lot. I guess with this one you can sort of handwave it with "she doesn't remember any of it though so maybe that's why it doesn't affect her much."

Then there's Leah and Seth, who lose their dad, and that's like, hardly a thing other than a) allows for the "funeral" miscommunication and b) makes Sue single so she can take care of Charlie while Bella's off blissfully vampiring. Seth is happy and sunny and sweet pretty much 100% of the time, and Leah's issues are all attributed to the Sam/Emily drama rather than, oh, I don't know, the shock of her phasing into a wolf causing her father's fatal heart attack. The guilt she must feel about that even though it's not at all her fault!

Then there's the Cullens in general dealing with having to hunt down and kill James; having to deal with Edward running away and nearly dying in Volterra; being under the threat of the Volturi because of Edward's misadventure in Italy; having to fight to the death against a bunch of newborns; and facing off against the Volturi. They presumably have been living in peace since whenever it was Maria had shown up in Calgary and then in the space of like a year and a half just complete and utter chaos, and all they can say about it is like, "we're so grateful you saved Edward, Bella!"

Quil, watching all his friends join this mysterious 'cult' and being left out and confiding in Bella about it. Sam dealing with All Of It when he wasn't even supposed to be the Alpha. Embry realizing he's the half-brother of one of these guys and probably searching for that belonging but knowing it could throw the community and families into chaos.

And then there's the pregnancy. Only Rosalie gets to have any feelings about it really and again, it's mostly so she can be Bella's bodyguard and less about Rosalie herself. But Esme has also longed for motherhood and sure she "makes do" with her Cullen kids, but they were all essentially adults when she adopted them. But more importantly she actually HAS been pregnant and HAS had a baby and LOST said baby. She also crushed hard on a vampire when she was a teenager, and now she's watching Bella getting to have a child with the vampire she loves when it's impossible for Esme herself and surely surely surely this would bring up some complicated feelings. But we get nothing. Like, literally nothing from Esme, she might as well not be in the book. She just existed to renovate the cottage.

Then there's Carlisle, whose mother died in childbirth from his normal human birth, watching his new daughter-in-law dying from a pregnancy and listening to his first and most beloved son say how he could never love the creature, his own child, if it kills Bella, and probably looking back on his own fraught relationship with his father and reliving that same resentment from the POV of the 'creature that killed the mother' and again, nothing. Not a factor. No one even mentions it in passing.

And like yes, I know, it's a YA romance, it's Not That Deep, it's about a girl falling in love with a vampire and finding wish fulfillment fantasy in that. I know. Everything else is just set dressing and not given any depth at all because it's not the point. But man, there's SO much there in the little throwaway details and unexplored backstories, and I fully believe that's what is fueling a large part of the fandom to this day.

Ten things the Twilight animated series can do better than the original movies (if they care enough to, please add all your own points to this as I will, too.) :

1. Include ALL of the book scenes, without having to change them to make them easier to film (for obvious reasons, since it’ll be animated they shouldn’t have much issue there.)

2. Their daughter, Remoulade can actually look like the book described her (or better or worse) and not the CGI monstrosity we got twelve years ago.

3. Make all the characters fit their book looks to complete accuracy. Alice was 4’10 and the movies made her 5’5. They let Edward have brown hair when he’s a ginger. Jacob and the wolf pack had better be above 6’5! I want 23 year old Carlisle and 26 year old Esme playing parents to like three legal adults and two 17 year olds.

4. The parentification of Bella Swan, by both of her parents, mustn’t be ignored. Bella was making sure the bills were getting paid by the time she was 10 cause her mom was ‘too flighty and distracted’ to do things like that consistently, she also learned to cook and clean early on too because her mom’s cooking was inedible and she’d improperly mix cleaning solutions dangerously. She got a job at 14 and took care of the groceries and any other issue necessary on top of being in AP classes in school. By the time she moved in with Charlie, she was basically more of a parent than he was. He did the bare minimum to ensure her car’s safety by installing snow chains on her tires without telling her and she cried because she wasn’t used to being taken care of.

5. How she cries when she’s angry is peak girlhood and I hate that they got rid of that in the movies. She stomped her feet bro, like c’mon she was so angry and anxious and annoyed all the time and they only focused on her angst.

6. Integrate aspects of Midnight Sun too, maybe incorporate them both so we can get a more full story. Twilight on its own was a bit of a snooze fest compared to Midnight Sun. We’re gonna pretend that Edward hunting and eating Esme’s abusive ex-husband isn’t hot af?

7. Add in more character’s back stories. Alice’s abusive father and stepmother, Emmett’s gambling and womanizing as a human in Tennessee, etc.

8. Unfortunately we need to make it clear that Charlie’s not winning any father of the year awards here either. He congratulated Jacob after forcing a kiss on her and joked about Jacob pressing assault charges on her after she breaks her hand punching him away.

9. Maybe ask why the Cullens…’need’ so desperately to come back to Forks every couple of years? Like they’re multi-billionaires, they’re immortal and there are plenty of gloomy, cloudy places they could live in semi-permanently. Why Forks when they know the Quileutte tribe knows what they are and they know it makes them so uncomfortable? It just seems unnecessary.

10. More of Edward reading Mike Newton’s inner-monologue. I know it would depend on whose perspective we get but I think the idea is hilarious.

Twilight- Unknown: Chapter Five, Graduates

(Alice x Reader x Jasper)

I stood beside Jasper and Carlisle watching the news. Jasper's hand was on my side keeping me close to him.

"Police are baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances." The female reporter says to the camera. I leaned in closer to my boyfriend who was extremely concerned with what's going on. I knew why so I tried to comfort him in a subtle way. "Theories range from a vicious new gang to a wildly active serial killer. Reporting live, Dawn Chubai, CNN." She ends the report.

"It's getting worse. We're going to have to do something." Carlisle speaks after turning the tv off, facing the others.

"It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting. Quite a few more. They're undisciplined, conspicuous..." Jasper sighs, gripping me tired. I know he's thinking back to Maria.

"Newborns." Edward says aloud earning my sister's attention. "What, like new vampires?" She questions.

"In their first few months after the change." He says. "That's when we're at our most uncontrollable, vicious, insane with thirst." Jasper explains why it's so worrying. "Something to look forward to." Emmett picks at Bella.

"No one has trained these newborns, but this isn't random." My lover continues. "Someone's creating an army." Carlisle adds in, Jasper nods his head. Emmett smirks at this, getting excited. "Oh, now we're definitely going to Seattle." He says.

"An army of vampires?" Bella asks. "And they've been created to fight someone." Jasper sighs out.

"We're the only clan even close to Seattle." Edward points out to everyone. "Regardless of who they were. If we don't put a stop to them, the Volturi will. I'm surprised they've let it go on this long." Carlisle irritably tells us.

"Maybe they're behind it. In Italy. I read Aro's mind. He wants me and Alice to join him... Our gifts would shore up his power. Even [Name] would be a plus for him." Edward looks at me and I tense up, I feel Jasper try to calm my emotions. Greatly appreciated as I don't want to think about Aro and the rest of the Volturi I know would kill me if they had the chance.

"He knows we'd never choose him as long as our family is alive. An army could solve that for him."

I look over to my older sister who speaks up, "We can't wait two weeks for graduation; you need to change me now-"

"You'd be a liability as a newborn. Unable to control your instincts. An easy target." Jasper disagrees with Bella. "[Name] didn't go through that, though. What if I'm like her since I'm her sister." She points out but then Carlisle steps in and puts a hand on her shoulder.

"[Name] had the hybrid blood in her veins. She progressed so fast we knew she was different after the first three days. We don't know that for sure with you. Plus there's also your father to consider. And your mother. How terrible would it be for them if you suddenly disappeared?" He questions her, she knows she can't argue this, this time. Her shoulders slump in defeat.

"Hey did you eat dinner yet?" Bella asks Charlie, we walk into the kitchen after putting our stuff down at the table where he was reading a flier for a missing boy. "Um... no, I haven't." He answers. I watch Bella look over his shoulder, seeing the flier.

"This kid Riley Biers disappeared over a year ago and his poor parents have been papering Seattle with these things ever since." He expresses in a rough tone.

"You think they should just give up?" Bella looks at him, he glances between the both of us. "I wouldn't If it were either of you two. Not ever." He pulls us into a hug. After a small beat of silence he releases us. Taking a breath to cover up the fact that he was getting emotional over a case.

"So, one large, extra cheese?" He asks us, switching the subject. "And cheese bread. I know [Name]." He says before I even speak. I nod my head dramatically, kissing his cheek before I walk away, yelling a small thank you.

The next few days I've been getting ready for graduation. Actually doing my work.

Everything that happened this year the teachers were super lenient with me thinking I got major surgery.

I'm grateful for it. I know that technically I don't have to be worrying about this. I'm immortal. I'll be able to go to high school again and it will get easier and easier but this was my life at one point.

The only thing I'm sad about is the fact I had to give up my sports. I sigh, leaning back on my bed and closing my eyes after studying this bull crap.

I feel two dips in my bed and I open one eye to see Alice and Jasper looking over my homework.

"Gosh, this stuff is easy." Jasper hums out, putting the book back down. I open both eyes this time to glare at him. "You have years of practice, I don't want to hear it." I fold my arms, he snickers. Alice moves the stuff out of the way and climbs into my arms.

"We could always help you, you know." She offers, forcing me to put my arms around her. Now playing with my hand. Jasper sits on the other side of me. "You could but that feels like cheating." I lay my head on Jasper's shoulder.

"It would be but you'd also pass your tests faster." She sings quietly. I smile down at her, shaking my head.

"Not happening." I kiss the top of her head.

"Bella also told me that you two invited the wolves to the party." I bring up suddenly, she makes a noise I've never heard before and she shoots up from my arms.

"She begged me to do that. It was practically against my will." She rants, clearly upset by the decision she had to make to make my sister and her brother happy.

"I mean are they really that bad? The wolves?" I look at her, sort of looking back to Jasper. I knew he could tell what I was feeling. "What do you mean?" She tilts her head.

"I am a part of them, I can turn into one. I'm just worried that one day I'll change my mind and want to try out my wolf form and then you guys won't be happy with it. Or I don't know, it's childish but leave me I guess." I overly explain, feeling stupid once it comes out of my mouth. I avoid eye contact with Alice now.

Mentally cursing at myself.

"We'd still love you, [Name]. We love that you promised us to not turn but we'd never truly want to hold you back from what you wanted to do with your abilities and self-being." Alice grins at me, almost laughing, probably at how silly and stupid I sounded.

"Exactly, we've made some mistakes in the past with choosing things for you but we know that being a hybrid is something you didn't choose. Even being a vampire wasn't your choice." Jasper chimes in, pulling me into an embrace, forcing me into a lazy kiss. Alice then grabs my face and kisses me as well.

We weren't going to do anything else. My dad was in the other room. That also wasn't the only thing that stopped us. The three of us heard Jacob's truck pull up and one of the doors slam. Edward also pulled up.

We looked at each other. "Stay here." I tell them, rushing out of my room and outside.

"Not here, Edward. Please." Bella pleads with the vampire. "If you ever touch her against her will again." He points in Jacob's face but my sister is blocking him.

My eyebrows furrow hearing this. "Don't do this." Bella begs.

"She's not sure what she wants." Jacob stands straighter.

"Well, let me give you a clue. Wait for her to say the words." Edward holds onto Bella.

"Fine. And she will." Jacob glares at him. "Jacob. Just go, okay?" My sister tells the wolf. I get closer, they obviously don't know I was there, or they did and just didn't care. The two are practically facing off with one another.

The front door opens and Charlie gets down the steps. "Hey, hey, hey, hey... Easy guys. Let's take it down a notch. Alright? What's going on?" My dad questions the scene in front of him.

"I kissed Bella. And she broke her hand... Punching my face." Jacob explains. My eyes widen and I move without even realizing it.

Punching him in the jaw myself. Everyone gasps around me. Jacob actually holds his face as I look at him in disgust.

"The audacity you fucking have is astounding Jacob. " I shove him back to his truck. Not enough to show off a supernatural strength but the anger I feel of him just doing that to Bella without her consent sickens me.

After he leaves I turn back to the house. Bella was hiding her face into Edwards chest who was trying not to laugh. My dad looked shocked.

I sigh, shrugging my shoulders. "Carlisle should check that out, Bella." I point to her, Edward nods in agreement.

"Total misunderstanding, it's just a sprain. Should heal fairly quickly." The doctor of the family tells my sister. "Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time again, Bella?" Emmett teases her since she's so clumsy and practically known for it by everybody now.

"I punched a werewolf in the face." She corrects him. "Bad ass... You're going to be one tough little newborn." He grins.

"Tough enough to take you on." Bella smirks, Emmett goes to laugh but Rosalie slaps down the newspaper she was holding and storms out. Scowling towards Bella.

"Don't worry about it." Emmett shrugs it off.

"Okay, any leads?" Edward questions, switching the attention to something more dire.

"No sign of the intruder. But Victoria continues to make appearances." Jasper says. "But it seems to be only when [Name] isn't with any of us." He adds.

"She's toying with us. Keeping us distracted." Carlisle tells us.

"From Seattle?" Emmett tilts his head. "The intruder or something else." I speak up. "Alice can keep tracking her decisions but we have to track her on the ground." Edward says.

"We're having Alice watch a lot, I think I should take over some." I tell them. Jasper rubs my side as they look at me.

"I mean it has to be a lot for her. She hasn't said anything but Jesus, Aro, Charlie, Bella, and Victoria is a lot of information to cover and watch." I stand up for my girlfriend.

"Taking her energy is better?" Edward asks me. "I don't have to take her energy to take over her power." I cross my arms.

"[Name] your power lasts ten minutes, how would you be able to watch anyone?" Carlisle quizzes, not in a condescending way but genuinely just wanting to know.

I pause, glancing over at Jasper who nods his head for me to continue. "I've been practicing, Jasper has been helping me because I've spoken to him about it. I can do it for days now. And now I can basically copy your power without fully taking it. It's a lot but I can do it." I explain, begging for them to see my point in taking over for Alice.

At least taking over to watch over Charlie and Aro. Edward and Carlisle look at each other. "You need to make sure Alice is okay with it. You're also right, we didn't realize how much we put on her to watch." The father figure of the Cullen's tells me with a weak smile.

I let out a satisfied breath, squeezing onto Jasper without even realizing it.

"What ground have we covered?" Edward changes the subject once again.

"We've already covered the entire southern peninsula down to Quinault." Jasper answers.

"We'll search the northwestern trail." Edward says to Carlisle and Emmett. I didn't even notice that my sister left the room and was talking to Rosalie.

I looked out on the deck. I heard bits of their conversation so I tried to focus elsewhere. Already knowing Rosalie's tragic background I didn't want to eavesdrop on it.

Jasper kisses my jaw, I turn to him and he smiles. His dimple formed causing me to melt. It was one of my favorite features of his. We sat there in silence after everyone had left the living room. It was comfortable, finally having a moment away from all the hectic stuff.

Knowing it wasn't going to last much longer.

"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up..." Jessica talks to the students of Forks high school, plus the teachers and families that joined.

"Our answers were things like astronaut, president, or in my case, princess." She smiles from her own words. I lean onto my older sister listening to Jessica's speech,

"When we were ten, they asked again and we answered rock star, cowboy or in my case, gold medalist. But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how about this: who the hell knows?!" She giggles as people holler from the audience.

Bella's shoulders were tense, I took her hand in mine when I noticed and she gave me a small smile.

"This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, it's the time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere chilly. Fall in love- a lot.Major in philosophy because there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent..." Jessica continues to do her speech, the words hit in ways I know as a human would be special.

Goosebumps would've crawled all over my skin but knowing that in a few decades everyone around me will be gone as I stand here. Never growing old it just doesn't feel the same. Knowing that my sister beside me has the choice to stay human I just wish she would.

But I also know she wants to be with her love. I couldn't stop her from that.

"I'm so proud of you two girls, I can't wait to see what you both do next. You're my biggest accomplishments." He has us on either side, arm wrapped on each daughter.

"Dad, that's not true." Bella disagrees.

"Yeah, it is. And it's.. well you'll see when you have kids." He shrugs it off. I frown knowing that Bella nor I will be giving him grandchildren.

At the Cullen house I stand with Bella. Jasper, Carlisle Emmett and Edward are in a deep conversation about what's going on with Seattle. My sister begins to walk over there but Jessica and Angela swoop in and grab us. Taking us the opposite way.

"You both made it." Angela grins. "Well, I am the girlfriend of the girl who's hosting." I point out, Angela laughs nodding. "Right, sorry."

"Hey. What'd you think of my speech? Too easy-breezy, too self-helpful? You may admit it." Jessica questions mainly to Bella.

"No, you pretty much nailed it." My sister shakes her head. "Yeah? It's like I was born to lead, right?" Jessica grins, proud of herself.

"Oh, great. I love this song, let's go." Angela pulls us to the dance floor where Eric and Mike join us. They do a stupid robot dance battle as the girls laugh.

I just stay beside Angela, both of us jumping and doing basic moves. I noticed Bella leave when Jacob came into the house. I didn't have to look because his smell is so distinct.

I think Angela saw I was a little distracted so she grabbed my hands and had us face each other. Forcing me to follow her lead.

The lighting was a little darker now and it was as if all I could see was her. "You're a good dancer!" She says over the music.

"I'm barely trying, you're keeping me going!" I laugh. I quickly fixed the wife beater I was wearing.

Alice dressed me in a dressy suit earlier and the jacket was too tight since she got it fitted before I turned into a hybrid. I still wore the dress pants though.

"Nonsense! I feel like you're leading me!" She huffs out, I saw her eyes trail to my arms and I snicker to myself, reminding me of Alice.

"You give me too much credit." I shake my head, starting to feel sweat drip down my forehead.

Going into the next song, Jessica joins in causing Mike and Eric to do the same. Angela sticks beside me though. That was until I got dragged away abruptly.

"Oh!- I'll be back!" I say once I realize that it's Alice. "She might not." My girlfriend disagrees. I furrow my eyebrows now worried that something happened.

We go by the staircase, Jasper already standing there. "What's going on? Everything okay?" I worriedly asked. Jasper was laughing but Alice looked a little angry?

"Babe?" I look down at her, she now had her arms crossed in front of her. "Am I missing something? Did I do something?" I question, confused by why she would be mad. Jasper went to speak up but Alice groaned.

"Your little friend was all over you, [Name]. God how could you not see that?" She asks me in an irritated tone. I tilt my head. "I mean we were just dancing..." I fail to agree with her.

"Are you that oblivious?" She scrunches her face in disbelief. "Why are you jealous, my love?" I ask her, pulling her into my arms.

"I'm not jealous, she was just eyeing something that's mine." Alice avoids eye contact with me as I hold her hips. "Mhm, I didn't know I was property." I chuckle lowly.

I see Alice look over on the dance floor then grab my face and kiss me. It surprised me but I kissed her back. When she let me go I looked over to where she was and Angela quickly looked away.

I shake my head laughing. "I've never seen you jealous before." I try to calm my laughter. Jasper doing the same thing.

The only thing that did was when Alice grew frozen and was having  vision. I held onto her. I heard Bella behind me just as Alice came out of it.

"Alice, what did you see?" My sister asks.

"Okay, something is going on. Tell me." Jacob says. Bella got in between Alice and I. I stand beside Jasper.

Watching Jacob intently. I haven't seen him since I punched him in the jaw, something that already healed.

"I need to talk to Jasper and [Name]." She quietly says but then Jacob puts an arm against the wall, blocking her from getting to us.

"Why don't you talk to me?" The wolf angrily asks.

Both Jasper and I get in front of him.

"I suggest you remove your arm. Before I do." Jasper says, we glare at him. He makes the smart decision and backs away from our girlfriend.

"The decision's been made." Alice speaks.

"What's going on? You're not going to Seattle?" Bella quizzes.

"No, they're coming here." Alice looks up to Jasper and I.

Why doesn't Bella go to high school with the Cullens if Jacob doesn't imprint? She has good control. Also why would the Cullens go to high school when they're raising Renesmée?

She presumably does in the future, just not in the immediate aftermath, as she didn't in canon either if anon remembers. Remember that Bella's control is ridiculous, she wasn't supposed to be that good, even in the best of circumstances. Even with the control Bella had, where she's miraculously not eating hikers, she only went to the city once for the J Jenks papers (and that was not exactly an approved field trip by anyone but Alice) and there was a very real chance she'd eat Charlie when Jacob sent them running to their house.

Bella going to high school, for at least a year, maybe more, is a very very very bad idea.

It's not happening.

Add onto that, that, as you point out, Renesmee's growing up and this time around the Cullens have no idea if she'll drop dead tomorrow: Bella's not going to high school.

As for the other Cullens, I never said they were going to high school either. Mostly for Renesmee shaped reasons of not wanting to miss out, I imagine they also stick around at home at least while Bella's in her newborn period. Now, some may choose to go to high school (i.e. Alice) because spending all day in a house with a baby isn't how the Cullens like to live their lives, but that's a different story.

The reason this would deeply upset Bella is that this isn't the life she pictured. In canon, in the three months post transformation, Bella's very distracted from this reality: she's still in Forks and has a connection with her father, Jacob's here, then there's the Volturi crisis.

It never really hits Bella that "all those things I wanted to do as a Cullen I'm not doing". It's also never pointed out to her that, even with her grand control, had circumstances been different she wouldn't be going to high school right away. Without that being pointed out to her, Bella genuinely doesn't realize that when Edward said she might live in Antarctica with penguins for over a year if not forever... he meant it.

They can do so many things that the OG franchise couldn’t do, like give us quality vampire sparkling, supernatural beauty and speed, and if they stick with canon, a muuuuuch better Renesmee aging process. And they can make the characters look like anything or anyone! Maybe they’ll stay close to book accurate descriptions or maybe they’ll shake things up and give us a diverse cast.

I was already excited for the show because it’s more Twilight content, but this… oh, this brings me joy. I can’t WAIT to see what they do with this.

I hope it’s a gorgeous animation style that really makes Forks and even Phoenix come to life. I hope Bella looks soft and shy and awkward but also stubborn and confident, and that intriguing mix of average and beautiful, and then when she turns into a vampire, she’s so different it’s jarring—oh, and make the animation a little clearer and colorful, like we’re seeing it through her eyes (they could do something similar to the blue filter while she’s human; and then any time we’re in a vampire’s head, the blue/hazy filter goes away; omg yes please). I hope the Volturi are creepy. I hope they do the blood typing scene because I can see an animated version of that so clearly in my head, with Bella’s heart pounding and breath turning shallow and time slowing down as she realizes what’s happening. I want them to show blood. I want it dark and red and ominous but also beautiful. Make us see it from Bella’s perspective but also a vampire’s perspective. Make it terrifying but also tantalizing. Make the vampires VAMPIRES. And please, give us flashbacks!!! Slow down Bella and Edward’s relationships and even Bella’s arrival to Forks so we can see all of her relationships really develop (with Renee, Phil, Charlie, Billy and Jacob and even his sisters and some backstory for his mom, and then her human friends, and then of course the Cullens). And in between those slower scenes, take us back in time. Show Renee falling for Charlie then leaving him (ahhh the pain, and oh the potential for a parallel when Bella leaves), show Renee getting married to Phil, show Bella as a child taking care of the bills, show Charlie and Billy growing up—hell, show teenage Billy revealing the story about werewolves so that we get a twist of Charlie knowing about the supernatural welllll in advance, and then once Bella starts learning about supernatural things, show us the stories that Edward and the other vampires tell her. Show us Carlisle the vampire hunter and his no-good father, show Edward the vigilante, show Alice in the insane asylum, show us everything. Or as much as you can. Because sure, at its heart, Twilight is just about the romance, but the world is so RICH and we deserve to see it. We deserve to dive in deep and drink it all in.

PART 1: slow goodbye

(Bella Pov) I always felt like I never belonged with Edward. He was always trying to push marriage on me when I knew it was something I never wanted. After seeing how much pain it had caused my father I never felt like I would be a woman that would take another man's name. Maybe that's when I realized he wasn't the man for me.

After Edward proposed I knew he would keep pressuring me to say yes. I told him I wasn't ready which I knew was a lie. I never wanted marriage. I already feel stuck because of his stupid controlling family. I can't even act like myself anymore, Alice thinks she can control what I wear and Edward thinks he can control who talks to me. After leaving Edward's house today Charlie had cooked fish on the grill. MMMM my favorite.

I locked my window that night knowing how Edward would come and watch me sleep. How weird is that? Like I know for a fact any girl my age would feel so uncomfortable being watched all night long. He's going to chastise me in the morning. I can feel it in my spine.

My alarm clock is so annoying and I HATE the rain. It ruins all my plans. At least the sun is shining today. My closet sucks. Alice got rid of all my cute clothes or so she thought. Today I'm wearing my tropical print romper and my ankle strap chunky heels from Target. Along with my quilted chain shoulder bag. I think today is the day I drive my Mazda and leave Edward in the dust. When Alice and Edward pulled up to school they were pissed knowing that I had left them there. They never knew about my car, only the truck. Honestly, they never asked me. I loved the looks on their faces. After a while, I got out of my car because I could see them looking for my truck. Edward came up to me asking where I got the money for a car. Not knowing when I lived with my mom I had a few modeling shoots in Virginia. That's where I met Klaus god I miss him and his luscious lips so much. So I whipped out my phone and texted him.

I see Angela walking not too far ahead so I sprint next to her to get rid of Edward.

"Hey ang. How is your morning going so far? " I said, trying to get her attention so she could tell that I didn't want to be near Eddie.

"Pretty crappy. Did you drive your car today? You know I love the speaker system in that thing! " Angela said, trying to get me off the topic of her day

" You know I did! Wanna go to the mall later? "

"But Belllllaaa I was gonna ask you to hang out after school. " Alice whined like the child she is, ugh I hate her.

(Edward POV) Bella walked away with Angela and left Alice and me in her wake. I was stuck wondering who this person was.

The only reason I was with the twit was for my own personal heroin, the smell of her blood leaves me in utter want. No one in my family knows the real reason for me refusing to turn the spoiled little brat that is called my "mate". The only thing she is to me is my little blood bag. When she falls asleep I make little pricks in places upon her skin that she will never know about and I lap up the blood that spills out. No one would ever know. Not even Alice as I never decide to do it. Not like Alice would even care Bella is her little pet. Now that the little twit has made plans to go to the mall, I get to go And have fun with my little Mary. Carlise may have changed me but he doesn't know of my undying loyalty to my mate. He has no clue that Alice and I are mates and that Jasper is Maria's mate. He will never know and I will do my hardest to destroy him if he tries to take away my Heroin.

(Alice POV) When the little Bitch walks away with God's saint Angela I'm livid. How can she just walk away when I'm talking to her? All I want is to make her look like a proper woman, not a trampy hoe. The way she throws herself at Edward is ridiculous. Little does anyone know, He's in love with me not her. I have him and Jasper wrapped around my little finger. Jasper has never been my mate. Jasper and I concocted this plan when I met him after he got into a fight with his real mate Maria. He wanted to let the captain and his mate Charlotte go so they could live their life but she didn't want to lose two good soldiers. So he decided to punish her by leaving for a while. He goes to see her every once in a while.

Jaspers has been my best friend for so many years, he knows that Edward and I are mates and that Edward just wanted to play with a human for a while. Suddenly I'm hit with a vision of Edward and I running through the woods being chased by someone who is completely enraged. Then I see Edward's whole body lit on fire and the last thing I see is a torch coming towards me.

maybe edward is such a bad liar because normally he can just look into the other persons mind and see exactly how effective it is at any given moment. or, more likely, simply see what the person most likely assumes or would be open to believing, and he just leans into it hard. trying to make it up from scratch is hard.

which is why he says the whole "adrenaline rush" line with such a fuckin weird fave and tone I'm assuming.

I hate this entire scene. Charlie loves Bella so much and the added earlier scene the Bella (a few days after her father's friend of 30 yes has died) told him that she likes being alone and "must get that from [him]"??!?! I am so missed. Charlie deserved better. he's also literally in grave danger due to his lack of knowledge I. the situation (he's hunting Victoria's coven, and has no clue, and literally Victoria gives a bitch a heart attack. Harry Clearwater I'm pretty sure?)

- every time I consume twilight I think, huh, does Bella really love Edward, or just rhe mystery and idea of romanticized immortal bliss and opportunity that he represents. does edward love Bella? or is he just seeing the first challenge in decades, who happens to be witty and surprising and who he likes the smell of a lot, but wants to keep her human specifically because he wants the excitement of her being sort of this innocent untouched damsel in constant distress who he can watch sleep and gaslight into being his own personal Bella Novella.

The news was playing on the TV in your living room. Another missing person in Seattle.

“It’s getting worse, we need to do something,” Carlisle said watching the news story.

“It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they’re reporting,” Jasper said. “Quite a few more, they’re undisciplined, conspicuous—”

“Newborns,” Edward finished for him.

“Like new vampires?” Bella asked.

“The first few months after the change. That’s when we’re at our most uncontrollable, vicious, insane with thirst.”

“No one’s trained these newborns.” Jasper observed the television closer. “But this isn’t random, someone’s creating an army.”

“An army?” Emmett asked intrigued.

“Created to fight someone.”

“But we’re the only clan even close to Seattle,” Edward said.

Carlisle started pacing. “Regardless, if we don’t put a stop to this the Volturi will, I’m surprised they’ve let it go on this long.”

“Maybe, they’re purposely ignoring it. I read Aro’s mind, Carlisle, he wants Alice and I to join him and knows we never will with our family still alive.”

“An army would solve that for him.”

“We have to change me now then,” Bella said.

“No, Bella. You’d be a liability as a newborn, unable to control your instincts, an easy target,” Jasper said.

“We’ll come up with something, Bells,” you assured your friend. “But changing you right now isn’t it. Think about Charlie and Renee. You can’t just disappear on them.”

You were confused when you walked into your house after shopping in Port Angeles to see your father bandaging Bella’s hand.

“Jake found out about me wanting to become a vampire.”

“And?”

“And I punched him in the face.”

You just raised your eyebrows and sat down next to your friend.

“It’s just a sprain, should heal fairly quickly,” Carlisle said.

Emmett gave Bella’s good hand a high-five. “Punching a werewolf? You’re gonna be one tough little newborn.”

“Tough enough to take you on.”

Rosalie slammed down her newspaper and walked off angrily. You thought she wasn’t that mad until you heard her room door slam. Eventually she’d get over it. You did when you realized Bella was adamant about her choice.

Friday rolled around and you sat in the gym watching your siblings and practically all your friends graduate. Jess, Bella, and Angela piled into your car after taking graduation pictures. You sped off to your house to beat the rush of everyone else getting there since you still had to help set up.

“This is our best work yet,” Alice said high-fiving Rosalie as they looked at you, Jessica, Bella, and Angela all dressed up.

Jessica and Angela were excited at having been dressed by The Cullen Sisters but you and Bella just looked uncomfortable.

“Why do I have to dress up? It’s not my graduation.”

“You’re a Cullen aren’t you?” Rosalie asked. “We always show up and show out.”

You mingled and talked with random guests until you heard Bella at the front door.

“I thought my right hook was me uninviting you.”

“Just came to drop off an ‘I’m sorry’ present and see (Y/N).”

You heard Jacob’s voice. You quickly walked over to the front of your house where you saw Jacob, Quil, and Embry. Jacob handed Bella a small graduation present before giving you a kiss when you came up to him.

“Is your sister okay?” Quil asked, pointing to Alice on the steps. She was having a vision.

“Alice?” you raced over to her, Bella followed behind you. “What did you see?”

“The decision’s been made.”

“What’s going on?” Jacob asked.

You guys waited till all the party guests had left to hold a little meeting on the back porch.

“So we’re not going to Seattle?” you asked.

“No, they’re coming here, soon. We have two weeks, if we’re lucky.”

“This could turn into a bloodbath,” Carlisle said. “Alice, can you see who’s behind it?”

“I don’t think I recognize anyone… wait one, Riley Biers.”

“That’s the first boy that went missing in Seattle. Charlie’s been working that case for a while now,” Bella said.

“They must be playing with the blind spots in your vision,” Edward told Alice. “Either way the army is coming and there aren’t enough of us to protect the town.”

“Hold up. What damn army?” Jacob asked.

“Newborns, our kind,” Carlisle explained.

“What are they after?” Embry asked from beside Jacob.

“They were passing around Bella’s sweater,” Alice recounted her vision.

“And what does that mean for us?”

“An ugly fight. Lives lost,” Carlisle said.

Jacob turned to look at Quil and Embry; the three of them nodded. “Alright, we’re in.”

“What? No, you’ll get yourself killed, no way,” Bella protested.

“We weren’t exactly asking for your permission, Bells.”

“Edward? (Y/N)?” Bella asked the two of you.

“It means more protection for you, Bella,” Edward reasoned.

You looked up at the three pack members in front of you. “Are you guys sure?”

“It’s what we do, babe.”

“Jacob, do you believe Sam would agree to an understanding?” Carlisle asked him.

“Of course, (Y/N)’s practically family, the rest of you are extended.”

“And the others?”

“As long as we get to kill some vampires,” Jacob responded.

“Jasper?” Carlisle turned to his youngest son.

“They’ll give us the numbers, the newborns won’t know they even exist. It’ll give us an edge.”

You sipped on the blood bag while your family was up hunting early in the morning. Every sip was a struggle to gulp down but you could feel yourself getting stronger as you did it. Your whole family had decided that you should hunt every morning to keep yourselves at full strength in case the army arrived sooner than expected.

Jacob called as soon as he made it back to the reservation. The wolves were ready to start training as soon as possible. Everyone agreed to meet in the woods on your family’s side of the treaty line. Your family, along with Bella who was just watching, started training early while waiting for the pack. You heard the rustling of the forest as the wolves came down the hill.

“They don’t trust the rest of us enough to be in human form. Only (Y/N),” Edward said, reading Sam’s mind.

“They came. That’s what matters,” Carlisle said. “Edward, can you translate what they’re thinking?”

Edward nodded and Carlisle turned to face the pack.

“Welcome. Jasper has a good amount of experience with newborns. He’ll be able to teach us how to defeat them.”

“They want to know how the newborns are different from us,” Edward translated.

“They’re a great deal stronger than us because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful than in our first seven months of this life,” Carlisle said.

Jasper stepped up to explain more.

“Carlisle’s right. That’s why they’re created. A newborn army doesn’t need thousands like a human army, but no human army can stand against them. Now the two most important things to remember are first: never let them get their arms around you, they’ll crush you instantly. And second: never go for the obvious kill, they will be expecting that and you will lose… Emmett, you’re first.”

Everyone backed up to give Jasper and Emmett room to spar.

“Don’t hold back, Emmett.”

“Not in my nature.”

Emmett ran fast at Jasper. Jasper braced himself as Emmett threw him in the air and he hit the ground. Jasper sprung up quickly. Emmett attempted to throw a punch but he missed and fell to the floor as Jasper’s fist collided with his stomach. Jasper and Emmett sparred a bit more before Jasper called Carlisle and Edward to spar.

Your father and brother both ran and grabbed each other’s necks. Carlisle threw Edward but missed his next hit. Edward pushed Carlisle down to the ground. Edward stepped a little bit away, looking to Jasper to see if he did a good job.

“One more thing,” Jasper said, “Never turn your back on your enemy.”

Jasper rolled his eyes as Carlisle got up and pushed Edward to the floor. Jasper called you up.

“Are you sure about this, (Y/N)? When James—”

“Are you getting soft, Major Whitlock?” you taunted. You didn’t want to be reminded and your family still didn’t know about the scratches.

You might not have been as fast or as strong as some members in your family but general fighting you excelled in. You knew how to use your size and limitations to your advantage. Everyone watched as you and Jasper sparred, your fight lasting the longest. Jasper managed to finally get a grip on you and he slammed you to the ground. You gave out a hard grunt as you hit the forest floor. Jacob gave a short bark.

“Jas, stop!” Edward said, reading the wolves’ mind. According to Jacob he could feel (Y/N)’s pain.

“Too hard?” Your brother helped you to your feet.

You rubbed your back in pain. “I’m losing my edge, really thought I had you. Were you using full strength?”

“Too much?”

“No, no. I should get used to it. Not like the newborns are gonna hold back.”

You lifted your shirt slightly making everyone gasp. The wolves growled slightly, not liking the sight of you hurt. There were some cracks around your back. You watched as the cracks closed up, bleeding slightly as they did, before bruising and then immediately fading.

��Damn, Jas. You could give Emmett a run for his money in strength.”

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Jasper put his hand on shoulder.

“Yeah, Jas. I feel fine, great even. Just knocked the wind out of me briefly.”

“Okay, (Y/N). I think we’re done for the day.” Jasper turned to the wolves. “We’ll meet again at the same time tomorrow.”

Jacob walked over to you in wolf form. You patted his head, feeling the soft short fur. You never really saw Jacob’s wolf form. He almost always changed back before meeting up with you.

“He wants to know if you want to come over for dinner, Billy’s cooking dinner,” Edward translates, “And there’s dessert this time.”

You laughed and agreed to come over. You walked back with the wolves to Jacob’s house. Dinner went just as well as it did last time. You felt very comfortable at the Black’s house. Billy retired for the night after pulling the brownies from the oven.

You and Jacob sat on his bed eating brownies and ice cream. Jacob gave you one of his flannel shirts to wear as pajamas. Just like the bathing suit in Alaska, Jacob could do nothing but stare as you stripped out of your outer layer and put his shirt on over your underwear. You were vaguely aware of how he looked at you in those moments, relishing ever so slightly that you made him feel the way he did.

“What do you want to do when this is all over?” Jacob pulled you onto the bed. You snuggled into his arms welcoming the body heat. Jacob liked how the cold temperature of your skin cooled him down.

“It’ll be summer, I’m thinking Hawaii.”

“My sister Rebecca lives in Hawaii, think she’ll let us crash at her place?”

You laughed against his chest. “If not then I’ll take you to my hometown. I think you’d like San Francisco.”

“You wanna stay for one week or two?”

“Two,” you answered.

You and Jake continued to talk, your voices becoming a low whisper so as not to disturb Billy.

The back of your thigh felt a bit damp as if you were uncomfortably sweaty. You stood up from Jacob’s bed, waking him up in the process. You looked at the small red spot on his bedsheets.

“Shit did I accidentally scratch you?”

“It’s fine, Jake. I think… I’m just gonna go see if the wound healed, where even is it?”

You turned to enter Jacob’s bathroom so you could attempt to find the scratches. Jacob watched as you started to walk away, his flannel shirt had ridden up on you.

“(Y/N), it’s not a scratch.”

“Huh?”

Jacob pointed to the back of your underwear exposed by the ridden up flannel.

“Period spot.”

You attempted to look at you own butt. Vampires weren’t supposed to bleed at all and even though it was clear that some things caused you to bleed, you didn’t think periods were something you’d ever have again. You’d have to tell Carlisle about this at some point. Great, you never thought you’d have the period talk with your dad again. Only under much weirder circumstances.

“Must’ve started in your sleep. Rebecca used to complain about that all the time.”

“What did you say?” You asked alarmed.

“It’s just a period spot, I can wash the sheets. No harm, no foul.”

“No Jacob, did you just say sleep?”

“Yeah. You clocked out at like midnight. We were talking and you just kinda fell asleep on me… this is a problem isn’t it?”

“Jake, you have to take me home now.”

Edward was already outside when you reached the house. Jacob’s thoughts could be heard for miles sometimes when it came to you. “I called Carlisle, he’s on his way home already.”

Hey! Love your metas. In regards to your last one about "joke's on the demon, carlisle's dad never cared for him" what do you think each of the cullen's human family felt towards them? Like did carlisle's dad hate him just because or? Did Esme's parents dislike her or were they just a product of their time? Same with Rosalie i guess. Emmett perhaps has the most loving background, Alice maybe the least? Who knows... and what about Bella? Did Renee actually care about her?

Well, all I can do is point to what is stated in the Guide and in canon.

Alice had a mother who the Guide outright states "loved her deeply", and "(Alice and her sister) were fairly close despite the wide age difference". The paragraph describing her early childhood outlines a loving home: "At first her parents thought her premonitions were amusing. “Alice is always right,” they would say when the five-year-old dressed herself in a slicker even though the sky was blue; later, of course, the rain would begin. “Grandma will be here soon,” she would announce. They would laugh and put out an extra plate." Alice turned eighteen before any of the tragedy in her family ever came to pass, though the community was turning against her because of her visions. Her closest family was in her corner, though. In the end it was her father seeking to eliminate her mother so he could take a new wife, with the new wife very much in on it. Alice's desperation to prevent her mother's murder looks to me like what turned him against her: she would not stop, and she would not shut up, and she was accusing him of murder in a time when that carried the death penalty. It was a lot more complicated for Alice than "father bad".

Bella I think we've written enough metas on, but it always seemed to me that Renée loved her, it's just that she wasn't cut out to be a mother. None of her failings as a mother are because she wished Bella harm in any way, it's merely that she's wired in a way that makes it hard for her to understand what her daughter needed from her. Charlie, as we know, loved Bella as well, but he didn't get to be around her much.

Carlisle was a dutiful son, but clashed with his father ideologically and in how he thought he should do his job once he took it over from his father, which in turn disappointed his father. The Guide describes the man as "self-righteous and compassionless". By all accounts, they don't seem close. There's the tricky thing, though, that we only ever get Carlisle's point of view of that relation. When Edward speaks of Carlisle's past, he only has what Carlisle told him to go on. And Carlisle was young, and as we see in canon, can be quite oblivious. It's very possible that a rebellious Carlisle misjudged his father's character, and that his later regret surrounding his involvement in witch trials further clouded his recollections of his father. I'm not saying the man was necessarily secretly a loving father all along, merely that our only source is unreliable.

Edward's wiki section has this to say: "His father, a successful lawyer, provided Edward with many advantages, including music lessons and the opportunity to attend private school; however, although his father provided for Edward in material ways, he was emotionally distant and often away from home on business. This absence was made up for by Edward’s close relationship with his mother; he was the center of her life." I have nothing to add to that.

We know this of Emmett's human life: "He had what his parents considered a wild adolescence; never one to worry about consequences, Emmett ran with a wild crowd that drank, gambled, and womanized. Emmett was always a help to his family, however. He was an excellent hunter and woodsman, and always kept the McCartys supplied with game." That, to me, doesn't read like he's the golden son, rather it's the partying kid who refuses to listen to the parents. "Wild crowd" is code for "friends his parents disapproved of". Yes, he kept the family supplied with game, but that's because people are rarely one thing only. And notice how the way in which he contributed to his family was by doing something he enjoyed anyway, so it's not like he was making much in the way of sacrifices for them. I'm not criticizing the guy, just pointing out that he was hardly a saint to his family and I imagine their relationship was a complicated one where his family wished he would shape up a bit and grow out of the wild adolescence. Thanks to the bear, he never did.

Esme's section in the Guide has this to say: "Esme tried to persuade her father to allow her to pursue a teaching position in the West, but he didn’t think it was respectable for a lady to live alone in the wilds. Instead, her father pressured her to accept the son of a family friend who wanted to marry her. Several years Esme’s senior, Charles Evenson had good prospects. Esme was indifferent to Charles, but not opposed to him, so she agreed to the marriage to please her father." So, by all means not a modern father, though I'll point out that this was a time when being a respectable woman actually did matter if you wanted to live a good life. Not wanting his young daughter to run off and follow her dreams isn't necessarily the mark of a tyrant who doesn't care for her. As it is, he found Esme a husband who was established and could offer her an economically stable future, it would have been a good life if Charles hadn't turned out to be evil, something the father could not have predicted. That he and her mother then "rejected her plea for asylum; they counseled her to be a “good wife” and keep quiet." is where they fail as parents and as human beings, though you'd be amazed at the things people can justify to themselves. Their advice to her points to them having truly thought this was Esme's fault and she and Charles could work this out. Which... awful, but you hear about family members doing this in so many abuse cases, it makes them scumbags but not unique scumbags, and if you asked them what was up with their daughter they would likely have told a completely different story from what was really happening, featuring Esme impossible and ungrateful, and believed it too.

Jasper's family history is largely unknown, all we know is that his father found him charismatic and they did not stop him from running off to volunteer for the Confederate side.

Rosalie's parents saw her as their ticket to climbing the social hierarchy in Rochester, and as such tried to marry her off at eigtheen to a man who didn't care for her. They smell to me like parents who would have made the same choice Esme's did, had Rosalie been married to Royce and come to them for help after. Throughout her childhood she was conditioned to praise her own looks above all, with pretty outfits and good looks being the end-all be-all of Rosalie Hale's existence. It always seemed to me that many of her issues come from how she was raised, so they're gonna come out ranking pretty low on the list.

I'm sending my annual Actual Consequences Christmas ask early this year since I just got done reading the whole saga! :D The Cullens know about Fred; how does that go down? Do Em and Rose ever come to an agreement on surrogacy, especially if Carlisle figures out that the surrogate COULD survive? What about Esme? Have Leah and Sammy progressed to marriage and/or kids? Have more shifters phased--perhaps Jake's daughter Sarah? What's Aro up to, considering that the Volturi aren't evil tyrants but ARE amoral royalty? I'm just always so pleased with your creativity!

Fred is really leery of the Cullens (or really, Alice and Edward who go to find him) at first, since he was 'raised' in Victoria's army and they were painted as this super powerful, super evil coven, but the two talk to him, even if they can't see/look at him, explain their family, their lifestyle, express their sympathy about how he was treated by Victoria and Riley, etc. Fred drops his guard, asks if they know what happened to Bree. Edward grimaces and explains, but Fred is moved by the bit about Esme and Carlisle sparing her and trying to adopt her, and he agrees to meet them.

By the time Christmas rolls around, he's a friend of the coven. Fred was a science student, and so he and Carlisle instantly bonded. Edward is lowkey jealous, because not only do they relate as science nerds, Fred looks like he could be Carlisle's son (tall and blond). Edward doesn't really doubt his place as Carlisle's beloved son, but he's got the brain of a 17-year-old so he angsts about it a bit. Fred is super shy and introverted, though, and so isn't interested in joining the coven, but does show up for Christmas, which makes Esme happy because the thought of him wandering alone is too sad. He's attempting vegetarianism (and Carlisle's pride about this is another reason Edward is feeling jealous), but he's not doing it for moral reasons so much as having to interact with other people even to kill them was just ugh, so awkward and unbearable. Fred prefers being alone and hunting in the woods.

But Fred's still learning, so no humans at Cullen Christmas this year. They do FaceTime or Zoom or whatever with Charlie & Sue, Renee & Phil, etc. Also check in with Jake and his son, Will, who phased last year. Seth has been showing him the ropes and he actually thinks the wolf stuff is pretty cool, but was relieved that he didn't have to kill Fred (and the Cullen, now knowing that vampiric presence triggers the change, convinced Fred to stay clear of the area). Leah and Sammy are married and talking about having a family. I personally think Leah's fertility problems would go away once she stopped phasing, but in the interest of drama and honoring canon such as it is, perhaps it is a Journey for them and eventually they realize it has to be Sam who carries the pregnancy. They think about asking Seth to be the donor so that the child can be part Leah, too, but Leah doesn't really want to pass on the werewolf genes, so they get an anonymous donor instead. The other Sam and Emily adopted a daughter several years ago, and recently have taken in two boys who are actually Sam's much younger half-siblings from his father, and the whole pack thinks that maybe this was the purpose of the imprint: no biological kids with her, but still raising two possible future wolves who needed a home. They've taken to calling her "Momily." She loves it.

With Carlisle and Rosalie back in the USA for the Christmas holiday, their research on hybrids in Volterra has taken a break, and Aro is now . . . left to his own devices. He of course knows everything they know, and is intrigued by the thought of how powers might be passed down to offspring. Joham's was not gifted, so none of his children are, but what would Aro's own children be like? Demetri's? Only one way to find out! And Carlisle's not around to tell him it's an evil idea and the women will probably die. I don't want this to get TOO dark so let's say that Aro and Demetri go out and seduce women and tell them they are vampires and if they survive the pregnancy they will become vampires too so there's SOMETHING approaching consent vs kidnapping random women. Aro is waiting until after the holiday to call Carlisle and tell him there are two pregnant humans that will need his skills if they hope to survive. No pressure thought! Totally up to you if you want to come back to Italy, dear friend!!!

(Witnessing the horror of the pregnancies will take surrogacy off the table for Rosalie and Esme, I think.)

What else? Oh. Renee. Aro hasn't forgotten about her and her potential mind-control talent, but he's been so preoccupied with the hybrid stuff it's on the backburner for now. But he has sent Heidi on a special mission to Florida. She's joined Renee's book group (they conveniently meet at night) and they are becoming fast friends. Heidi is hard to resist, after all, and next year she will propose a girls' trip to Italy. How does Alice not see this? Well, another new member of the book group is named Serena. She's Joham's daughter. Alice can't see hybrids.

“Alright, cheese on three.” Charlie says, positioning the camera at his daughters and their prom dates. “Jacob, Edward, hands where I can see ‘em.”

“Don’t shoot.” Jacob wiggles his fingers to show that they are appropriately placed, for now.

“I assure you Chief Swan, Bella is in good hands.” Edward replies.

“Nobody likes a brown noser.” Jacob grumbles and Y/N elbows him in the ribs. “Ah!”

Charlie smiles proudly, “that’s my girl.”

“Come on Dad,” Bella sighs, “we’re gonna be late.”

“That’s my other girl,” the man says under his breath. “One, two, three.”

“Cheese,” Y/N grins.

Jacob beside her smiles like he swallowed the sun.

They are together and safe.

Bella’s mouth is twisted into a smirk and even Edward looks happy.

“That’s one for the grandkids.” Billy remarks from his chair.

Charlie murmurs something inaudible.

“Didn’t quite catch that.” Y/N cups a hand around her ear.

Charlie’s face softens. “You both look beautiful, that’s all.”

Bella flushes, not used to taking compliments.

The Y/H/C moves forward, pecking her father’s cheek.

Charlie rubs his fingers over the skin she touched, ice cold. But he doesn’t question it. Not so long as she’s here.

“Have a great time.” Billy waves the young lovers away.

“We will,” Jacob calls as they head for the door.

Prom is nice. Returning to any kind of normal is nice. But it fades like a photograph left out in the sun.

Jacob is gone a lot, his responsibility to the pack is ever growing. At night he is exhausted. Climbing through Y/N’s bedroom window to sleep with her chilled frame pressed up against him.

“Baby,” Jacob murmurs in his sleep, “my baby.” His hold on her tightens.

“I’m here,” Y/N whispers; tracing the line between his worried brows. “I love you, Jacob.”

“Luh you,” he sighs, then let’s out a loud snore.

Y/N chuckles to herself, head resting on his chest. Listening to the sound of his beating heart, the peaceful intake of breath.

So perfect, so warm, so alive.

A finger draws patterns on his skin, allowing him to sleep until morning. Which comes all too soon.

She’s lonely then, in a way she never has been before. Jealousy pangs in her chest, seeing the ease with which Bella is adjusting to the world of mythical creatures. Taking confident strides where Y/N stumbles. Almost like Bella was made for this.

Made for Edward in every way. Her scent appealing, her temperature enticing, her mind a fortress like none other.

“Happy Birthday Bella!” Y/N sings, as the brunette creeps down the stairs for school.

Charlie had apparently beat her to it, Bella is already holding a new scrap book and camera.

“Thanks,” Bella clicks the button and a flash snaps at their sister.

Y/N is wearing an oversized flannel shirt that the Bella assumes to be Jacob’s. Not a hair out of place, too painfully beautiful to be human.

Bella envies that more than she will ever admit. Y/N will never get any older. Frozen in time, just like Edward.

“So Alice called. Said they’re having a party for you tonight.” This is news to Bella. “They invited me and my plus one.”

“You and Jake should come.” Bella encourages, maybe they can cut through some of their tension with the Cullens. “It’ll be fun.”

“House full of vampires sounds like fun to you?” Y/N scrunches her nose.

“One human, a werewolf and several vampires.” Bella ticks off on her fingers. “What could do wrong?”

Y/N sighs, “I’ll text Jacob.”

His reply comes during geometry, ‘what should I wear?’

‘Well, Alice gave me a blue dress that I’m required to wear.’ Y/N taps at the keyboard, pressing send with a roll of her eyes.

‘Required?’ The phone hums almost immediately.

‘No shirt, no shoes, no service.’ Y/N smiles at her come back. Then adds, ‘meet me at my house after school. I’m making Bella a cake and I need someone to taste test.’

‘I’m so there!’ Jacob would never turn down food. ‘I’ll find a shirt.’

“Hey,” Alice opens the Cullen’s door for Y/N and Jacob. “You look great! I knew that dress was perfect.”

“Thanks,” Y/N runs her hands over the front of the silky material.

Alice leans in for a hug, surprising Y/N.

“Oh,” Y/N pats her back awkwardly.

“I can take that.” Jasper extends a hand to Jacob.

“Sure, yeah.” Jacob shrugs, allowing the vampire to take the chocolate cake and wrapped presents.

They reek worse than Y/N.

“Is the birthday girl here?” Y/N takes a tentative step inside.

“She’s changing upstairs,” Alice squeals in excitement. “Come on,” she grabs Y/N’s hand, leading her through the hallway into the living room.

Jacob hesitates in the entry way, the pixie’s blonde counterpart making eyes at him.

“You’re uncomfortable,” Jasper says.

“That’s an understatement.”

“You worry about her.”

“Kinda my job.”

Jasper pauses, looking him up and down. “There’s pain here. Helplessness.”

“Can you bloodsuckers stay out of my head for five minutes?” Jacob snaps.

“I’m not in your head.” Jasper half smirks, “it radiates off you.”

“Perfect, great.” Jacob hates it here. “Can we go now?”

“She’s happy. Here with you and Bella and us.” The vampire stops him. “But she worries too.”

“I better-“ Jacob jerks his thumb in the direction that Y/N and Alice have disappeared.

Jasper lets him pass, “of course.”

Bella joins them after a moment, dazzled by the scene before her. The music is soft in the background, smiling faces gaze up at her. All pale and beautiful. Jacob stands out like a sore thumb.

“Happy Birthday!” Alice pounces on her first, gifts at the ready. Even from Rosalie, who is less than thrilled to be celebrating.

“Uh thanks.” Bella accepts the parcel, opening it to peek inside.

“It’s a necklace,” Rosalie spoils the surprise. “Alice picked it out.”

“Cool,” Bella shakes it off.

“I made you a cake,” Y/N offers. “It’s chocolate, used to be your favorite. I don’t know-“

“That’s perfect!” Bella wasn’t expecting cake at all. “You didn’t have to go to the trouble. You know, since I’m the only one who eats.”

“Hey, that’s not true.” Jacob reminds her. “I licked the bowl Bells, it’s amazing.”

“We should sing,” Esme smiles. It’s been a long time since they’ve seen a birthday.

“No, please don’t.” A blush burns on Bella’s cheeks.

“Too late,” Edward whispers, sympathetically.

The candles are placed and lit at inhuman speed.

“Happy birthday to you,” Y/N leads the choir.

“Happy birthday to you.” The Cullens chime in.

“Happy birthday dear Bella,” the brunette turns her face into Edward’s shoulder.

“Happy birthday to you.”

“Make a wish.” Edward kisses the top of her head.

Bella does, closing her eyes as she blows out the candles. She wishes things could stay like this.

They dance, Bella and Jake eat cake. Everyone gets along, it’s better than any of them thought possible. Maybe, just maybe, this can work. Maybe it can be this easy.

“Alright, we’ve got a shit ton more presents and the human needs her beauty rest.” Emmett announces, a heap of boxes in his arms.

“Get to work Bella,” Y/N smiles.

Bella shakes her head, “I can’t accept all of this.”

“You absolutely can,” Edward argues.

“Which one’s from you?” Bella asks her sister.

“Start with this one.” Y/N plucks a small box from the pile. “It’s not perfect, but Jacob is teaching me.”

“She’s being modest,” Jacob counters, “cranked that one out in twenty minutes.”

Bella wonders what it could be. Peeling back the wrapping she finds a silver bracelet with a hand carved wooden ‘B’ hanging in the center. “This is beautiful.” She marvels, holding it up into the light.

“You like it?” Y/N asks.

“I love it.” Bella sighs, “thank you. Can you help me put it on?”

Y/N leans forward, mindful of the delicate clasp and her even more delicate sister. “There,” she says proudly.

Edward smiles at their exchange. “Now it’s my turn.”

“I told you, no presents.” Bella frowns at him.

Edward places it in her lap anyway.

Halfway through removing the paper Bella winces, “paper cut.”

Blood oozes from the wound.

“Hey,” Jacob catches Y/N’s face in his hands. “It’s just a little blood.”

Y/N replies with a tortured sound, “Bella.”

“She’s ok,” The wolf assures her.

All the golden eyes fall on the birthday girl.

Edward, having read Jasper’s mind, shoves Bella out of the way. Not adjusting his force, he sends her through the tempered glass table. Her blood pouring freely from fresh wounds.

Edward jumps to her defense, throwing Jasper back into the piano.

Y/N is on fire, but she is in control. Rising to her sister’s aid. Crouching protectively in front of her, the movement tearing a slit in the Y/H/C’s dress.

Jacob is there, all but fuming, still human, until Jasper snaps his teeth at him. His body contorts so quickly into the reddish brown wolf that Bella can hardly believe her eyes.

The animal comes to stand beside his mate, chest heaving as they draw a firm line between the Cullens and Bella. They are out numbered, but they will fight.

Carlisle is the one to skirt behind Y/N and Jacob to tend Bella’s wounds as Emmett is finally able to restrain Jasper. Alice soothes him into submission and removes him from the house.

One by one the Cullens leave, all accept for the doctor. Edward is last, looking utterly worn down.

“Y/N,” Carlisle calls her attention softly. “I’m going to stitch Bella up in my office. You should wait outside.”

Y/N stands upright, making that sound again. The terrible one that keeps Jacob up at night. Reaching a trembling hand out she finds his fur, grounding herself.

The wolf leans into her touch, a whine sounds from low in his throat. Y/N is in pain, therefore so is he. He nuzzles her ribcage, left exposed by her hold on him.

The exchange so intimate that Bella tears her gaze away. “It’s ok, Y/N. I’m ok.”

At this the Y/H/C takes a reluctant step toward the door. “I’m so sorry, Bella.”

“We need to talk,” the words tumble from Edward’s mouth the moment Y/N’s feet touch the solid ground beyond the steps of the Cullen home.

“I have nothing to say.” Y/N states numbly, releasing her hold on Jacob. The wolf backs away, giving her space but staying close enough to comfort her.

“Please,” Edward breathes. “It’s important.”

Edward leaves. Leaves behind a shell of Bella, taking pieces of her with him that she will never get back. That is his grand solution to the ‘problem’ he created.

Months pass. Y/N and Charlie are at a loss. Trying to navigate around the hole in Bella’s chest. But nothing helps. Time moves around her, without her.

Things between Y/N and Jacob are still strained. Her duty is to Bella and his to the pack. Their inability to turn away from either one leaves them stretched thin.

Bella has nightmares constantly. Dreams of being left, dreams of being alone. Y/N stays in Bella’s room, hoping to keep them at bay. Even her nights no longer belong to Jacob. Still they go through the motions, hoping that the smaller details will hammer themselves out.

“So uh, Dad tells me that I need to get out of the house or he’s sending me to Jacksonville.” Bella tells her sister, eyes fixed on the front tire of her truck as she kicks it.

“I’ll talk to him. He’s just worried about you. We all are.” Y/N explains.

“No, you don’t need to worry.” Bella tucks a bit of hair behind her ear.

“Bella-“

“I was actually hoping I could third wheel.“ Bella interrupts, “with you and Jake. What are you doing later?”

“Anything you want.” Y/N reaches for her phone.

“We could just… hangout.”

“Ok.” The vampire eyes her warily. “Jacob has a motorcycle, by the way. If you wanted a ride you could’ve asked, no need to drive off with some creep.”

Bella huffs, “Jessica told you about that?”

“It’s high school Bella.” Y/N laughs, “Jessica told everyone.”

“Great,” Bella shakes her head, “that’s really great.”

“Mhm.”

“I was also gonna ask…if you know any good mechanics.” Bella bites her bottom lip.

“I know a very good mechanic,” Y/N leans against the cab of Bella’s truck, “cheap too. He pretty much rebuilt my entire car in exchange for pizza and sexual favors.”

Bella’s eyes widen, “Jacob was ok with that?”

“Jacob was the mechanic,” the corner of Y/N’s mouth twitches. What a time. “He was more than ok with it. Although I do think he dragged out the rebuild a bit.”

“That makes a lot more sense.” Bella stuffs her hands into her pockets.

“So what’d you need a mechanic for? Is the truck giving you trouble?” The Y/H/C cocks her head to the side.

“No it runs like a charm. But seeing as you brought up bikes, I saved one from the scrap yard. I was hoping to fix it up.”

“Jacob might be up for a new project.”

“As long as you cover the second half of the payment arrangement, I’m good for the pizza.” Bella smiles, Y/N hasn’t seen her smile in months, not since Edward left.

Y/N bumps her shoulder playfully. “Let me call Jacob.”

“Scrap metal and pizza,” Jacob muses, watching Bella and Y/N park the truck, “you shouldn’t have.”

“I told her you’re the best mechanic I know.” Y/N winks.

“Cheap too,” Bella adds.

“So you told her about that thing you used to-“

“Not in detail you dirty dog.” Y/N chastises, no heat behind her words as Jacob wraps his arms around her. She whispers something in his ear that brings color to his cheeks and a grin to his lips.

“Down girl.” Jacob swats her behind playfully, “alright Bella, show me what we’re working with.”

Y/N steps out of the way, watching as her sister uncovers the bike frame.

“I get it if you think this is really stupid-“ Bella runs a hand through her hair.

“Very stupid, it’s gonna cost you tons of pizza.” Jacob cuts her off, lifting the machine with ease.

“So, I gotta ask.” Bella’s eyes dart between the two of them. “Who’s the strongest?”

“Me,” Jacob replies.

“I am,” Y/N says at the same time.

Bella immediately regrets asking, they continue shoving at each other and laughing all the way into the garage.

Bella takes a look around, tools and spare parts litter the ground. Photos of Y/N hang everywhere, mostly notable human Y/N. A few are new, the difference isn’t tremendously, because of the contacts; but Bella can spot it.

“Wow,” Bella sinks back, “you’ve got like a full shrine in here.”

“I prefer collage,” Jacob chuckles, “but tomato, tamoto.”

Y/N exchanges a private look with her boyfriend. She has never loved or been loved the way she is with Jacob.

“You had a ton of hair Jake,” Bella points at the nearest picture. Jacob’s dark hair hanging past his shoulders, an arm slung around Y/N’s neck. They look happy, impossibly so. She might envy them if she didn’t know better.

“Yeah, I did.” Jacob nods, leaning against the body of a vintage car he recently finished gutting.

“Why did you cut it?” Bella can’t help but wonder.

“It’s a wolf thing,” Jacob divulges. “The longer our hair in human form, the longer our fur.”

“Can’t have it getting in your eyes,” Bella understands.

“Exactly,” Jacob claps his hand together, “so tell me this, do you know the difference between a Phillips head and a flat head screw driver?”

Things are better in their company, Bella feels almost normal again. Her heart doesn’t ache as much. Until the first day Y/N starts flaking on the bike rebuild.

She doesn’t read too much into it, until the third day. “So where is Y/N anyway?” Bella asks, waiting near the garage door for the pizza delivery.

“Baby steps,” Jacob pulls up a stool for her. “She won’t stay long and she won’t come everyday.” He sighs, “do you still want me to fix the bike?”

“I- yes. Thank you,” Bella rakes a hand through her hair. “I just figured she’d be happy, you know? With Edward gone, less vampires in the area, should mean less Quileutes joining the pack.”

“You still don’t get it Bella.” Jacob stills, moving the wrench away from is work. “Y/N begged him to stay.”

“But she didn’t even like the Cullens.” Bella looks away, utterly confused.

“She loves you and she knew how heartbroken you would be.” Jacob lowers his voice, as if not to farther startle her.

Bella swallows down her guilt. “I didn’t know.”

“Just don’t tell her I told you that.” Jacob presses his lips together, returning to work.

“Secret’s safe with me,” Bella stares down her feet.

The window of Y/N’s room stays opened, open to possibility, open to him.

Tonight Jacob shows.

“Mr. Black,” the vampire smiles. Shifting up on her knees to meet Jacob at foot of her bed. “Are you here to collect your payment?” She trails a finger over his chest.

The wolf smirks, catching her wandering hand and bringing it to his lips, “I’m interested in something a little different this time.”

“Oh?” Y/N arches a brow. “Well name your price.”

“First, just explain to me which part of being with me forever freaks you out.”

“Honestly?” She squints, “no part of it.”

“So why do you shut down every time I talk about life after Forks?” He whispers.

“I just- we’ll fight.”

“We already fight.” Jacob points out, “and here we still are.”

“We’ll grow apart.”

“I highly doubt that,” Jacob grounds out. “What’s it gonna take for you to commit to me?”

“Jake, I am committed.” Y/N stammers.

“Then why in the hell are you fighting me so hard?” Jacob can’t help but laugh.

“I don’t want to be seventeen forever.” Y/N searches his brown eyes with her orange ones. “I don’t want to matriculate every ten years. I don’t want a wall full of graduation caps or to repeat high school until I know every element of the periodic table by heart. I’m stuck.” She motions to herself. “You’re not.”

Jacob recoils as if she slapped him.

“You can have a life, you can go to college and get married and have kids. You can go forward, I can’t.” She pauses, mustering her courage. “I want forever with you, Jacob. But I won’t do that to you…not when I’ve spent my entire life loving you.”

“I want to be stuck, dummy.” Jacob caresses her temple with his knuckles. “We can go to college, we can get married, we can try to have kids. And if we can’t, I will be more than happy just to have you. Let me show you how good it can be.”

“I know it would be good.” Y/N shakes her head, but she won’t allow herself to want it.

“You want me to walk away.” Jacob knows her. “You want me to throw in the towel and say it’s too much but I won’t. Not after I’ve spent my entire life loving you.”

“We don’t have to do this to each other.”

“Yes we do.” Jacob growls, “which part of stay with me forever was too subtle for you?”

Y/N tries after that, really tries to be there for Jacob the way she used to…before.

She starts small, with Bella. Introducing her sister to the people who had once been her friends.

Jake is handling something near the northern boarder with Sam and Quil. Nothing major, or so he says.

The vampire decides that Emily’s place will be the easiest to start making amends. Knocking quickly against the screen door, before she can lose her nerve.

“Y/N,” Sam’s fiancé smiles warily, when she finds the Swan sisters on her doorstep.

“Hi Emily.” Y/N waves, “this is my sister, Bella.”

“Nice to meet you,” Emily replies.

“Can we come in?” Y/N sighs, this will be interesting.

Emily hesitates, then drawing in a deep breath, swings the door open fully. “Of course. The guys should be back soon. For now just Paul and Embry.”

“Fucking Paul,” Y/N chuckles, despite herself.

“Is something wrong with Paul?” Bella whispers. She hasn’t seen him since they were all kids.

The second they enter the kitchen Bella’s fears are put to rest.

“Come here,” Paul chases Y/N around the table twice before she finally allows him to catch her. After locking her head in place the wolf gives her several noogies.

“Paws off,” she laughs.

“Paul,” Emily says in warning.

“What?” The wolf throws up his hands. “I haven’t seen my favorite vampire in months.”

“I would say I haven’t seen my favorite wolf either, but…” Y/N squints at him.

“Hey Bella.” Paul turns his attention to the new comer. “Your sister thinks she’s funny.”

“I am funny!” The vampire flattens out her hair when Paul releases her.

“Were funny, you’re all broody and serious now.” Embry points at her.

“What?” Y/N scoffs, “I am not broody.”

“Yeah right,” Paul can’t believe his ears. “You can’t hide from Jacob’s obsessive inner monologue anymore than we can.”

“Well, let’s hear it.” Y/N challenges, taking a seat although she doesn’t tire.

“I wish Y/N would show up,” Paul gets the ball rolling.

“I wish Y/N would show up and not leave.” Embry adds on.

“Maybe I should make her stay,” Paul laughs.

“Alright, that’s enough.” Emily chastises. “You’ll scare her away.”

“I don’t scare easy,” Y/N smiles, “and you know why I can’t be here all the time.”

“You turn men into animals. Literally. Figuratively. It’s a compliment really.” Paul nudges her playfully.

“Sure,” Y/N arches a brow and changes the subject. “Emily is a great cook.”

“And baker, not to toot my own horn or anything.” The woman places a fresh plate of muffins on the table.

Y/N closes her eyes, “I just know that smells heavenly. Have one for me.”

“Do you mind?” Bella motions toward the baked goods.

“No! Please, take as many as you’d like.” Emily encourages.

“You know back before….when I could eat,” Y/N clarifies. “Jacob and I would hang here as much as we could.”

“They’d have full blown foodgasms.” Embry remembers like it was yesterday.

“Sounds like I dodged a bullet,” Bella blinks.

“I miss food,” Y/N laments, “I miss-“

“Me?” Jacob suggests from the doorway.

The Y/H/C joins him at vampire speed. “The guys were just telling me how much you think about me.”

Jacob let’s out a disapproving sigh, “just couldn’t keep your mouths shut, huh?”

“At least we didn’t let Leah lay into her.” Paul points out.

“Leah?” Y/N peers over at Jacob.

“It’s nothing.” Jacob presses a chaste kiss to her worried brow.

The woman in question bumps the vampire’s shoulder on her way through the door. “If you’re here to torture Jacob some more feel free to leave.”

A growl rumbles out low in Jacob’s chest, a protective arm pulling Y/N flush against him. Their skin sending up smoke where it meets. “Leave it alone, Leah.”

The female wolf lowers her eyes.

“Jake,” Y/N taps his chest. “It’s ok, I…deserved that.”

“You deserve respect,” Jacob snaps. His primitive nature boiling a little too close to the surface.

“They respect me enough to tell me the truth.”

Jacob bares his teeth.

“Just say it. I wanna hear it from you,” Y/N challenges.

“That’s not-“ Jacob shakes his head to clear it. “Come with me.”

“But Bella-“

“The pack will protect her,” they have orders.

“I-“

“Please,” Jacob cuts Y/N off with finality.

After a nod from Bella, Y/N follows Jacob out the door.

“She’s gonna get it now,” Quil remarks.

“Should we go after them?” Bella stands up immediately. “What if they hurt each other?”

“It’s dangerous to interfere with a wolf and their imprint.” Sam’s voice fills the room.

“But you’ve gotta have a death wish to get between Jacob and Y/N.”

Jacob leads her leisurely beyond the tree line.

“So,” Y/N begins, “you wanna tell me what’s going on?”

He runs both hands over his face. “I thought…that things would be different.”

“Well I was thinking about- your responsibility to the pack. I’ve been trying to protect them too.”

“How?” Jacob demands. “You’re never damn here.”

“That’s the point! Jacob don’t you see?” How can she make him understand? “I don’t belong here anymore.”

“You belong with me,” Jacob insists.

“I want to believe that,” she does. “But I understand that being in the same room as me makes their blood boil. They can never relax, even though I wish that wasn’t true. Even though they’ll deny it.”

“The pack just needs more time.” Jacob reasons, everything happened so fast. “They need to see for themselves, not just through my eyes. But you have to be here for that to happen. You have to stop running away.”

Y/N flinches, “I’m not running.”

“You are,” Jacob grimaces, “whether it’s intentional or not.”

“I was only trying to be helpful. Even though it tears me apart. Being away from you kills me, Jake.”

“There’s a council meeting tonight at sundown. It would be good for the tribe to see you there.” They can make this better, or it can keep getting worse. “We start by building trust with those who are unsure.”

“What if they won’t accept me? I’m not gonna make you choose between me and the pack.” That’s been her fear all this time.

“I would choose you.” Jacob clenches his fists.

“I know…that’s why I would never ask you to do that. They need you to lead them Jacob.” He was born for this.

“And I need you. They will accept that, most already do.”

“How do you know?”

Jacob rocks back on his heels, “do you remember the last council meeting that you came to? Like two weeks before you…changed.”

Y/N nods.

“Maybe you should sit down,” Jacob is still freaked out by the whole thing.

“Honey, vampires don’t faint.”

“Right,” Jacob breathes, “well I’m gonna sit.” Because he might. The wolf backs up, finding purchase against a tree and sliding down to the ground.

Y/N kneeling beside him, uses a finger to turn his face toward her.

“What if I told you that this isn’t the first lifetime we’re meeting?” He looks scared and lost, his eyes search hers frantically.

“I would,” Y/N pauses, that didn’t seem impossible. Knowing Jacob in another life seemed nice. “Reincarnation?”

“You didn’t think it’d just be vampires and werewolves, did you?” Jacob jests, even though the world is weighing down on him.

“Well,” Y/N lets out an unnecessary puff of air, “do you like…remember me? How I was?”

“Yes and no,” Jacob admits, his thoughts far away. “It happened after the first time I phased. Once I became Alpha it got more intense. The flashbacks. I thought at first it was just because of all the history lessons the council was trying to cram in. But everything started to get jumbled up, you and them. Me and them. I guess because it was always me and you.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Y/N whispers, feeling his jaw tense beneath her fingers.

“The alpha finds his mate, only to lose her again. Most times later in life, I thought we had more time.” Jacob breaks off, “then I watched you die.”

Y/N inches closer.

“I knew it was real.” He felt it in his bones. “I knew what I was supposed to do. What werewolves do to vampires.”

“Kill,” she understands.

“I couldn’t do it.” Jacob relaxes into her touch as she cards his hair. “That’s why everything feels so out of control.” He pauses, “you’ve never made it this far in any time line.”

“Who was I before? Any honorable mentions?” Y/N wonders, ribbing him lightly.

“It’s mostly mental jibberish. But I could never forget my third and favorite wife.” Jacob smiles, bumping her shoulder.

“Did I kill the first two?” She snarks.

“No, you were a bit more…tame back then,” submissive even. This version of her, the one he truly got to know, to grow up with, fall in love with, is his favorite by far.

“Welcome to the twenty-first century.” Y/N murmurs, “in this lifetime I’m gonna be your only wife.”

“Only one I want. Only one I can handle, shit.” Jacob adds, with a shake of his head. “Taha Aki must’ve been on something.”

“Anything else I should know, chief?” Y/N inquires.

“Two days ago we took out a vampire, red eyes, dreads, wearing a suit without a shirt underneath.”

“Hot.” Y/N purses her lips.

“You familiar?” Jacob scowls. Now who’s lost their sense of humor?

“I remember Edward saying a nomad group came across them playing baseball with Bella. The ones who were with the tracker. We should ask her. See if the description jogs her memory.”

Jacob nods, “there’s another. A woman with red hair. We chased her all the way to the Canadian border last night. But she keeps coming back. We’re trying figure out what she wants.”

“That sounds personal,“ Y/N crosses both arms over chest. “Vampires don’t hunt that way.”

“That’s what I thought.” They don’t play with their food.

Twilight- Unknown: Chapter Seven, The Battle

Later that night, Bella asked for a sleepover like old times. It shocked me at first. I was expecting her to ask more questions about my past lives but surprisingly she didn't.

We just watched movies together, eating popcorn. Maybe a random question about what it was like being a vampire.

She was sound asleep after the second movie. I decided to watch a few others but in the middle of the night she swings her fist, hitting me right in the arm. "Bella? What happened?" I woke her up, she breathed heavily, her heart racing.

"The intruder... The newborn army. They're all her puppets. Victoria." She says out of order and I raise a brow. "Alice or I would've seen if she wanted to make an army." I argue. "Unless she's hiding behind them, and she's letting someone else decide. Maybe she found out how you guy's visions work." She explains, I sit a little straight. Considering it.

"Trust me, I hope what you're saying is true and that it's her. I'll speak to the Cullen's about it, go back to sleep." I tell her, she nods her head. "We'll talk more about it tomorrow." I assured her since she seemed like she wanted more from the conversation.

I told Edward about it over the phone, now he's changed his mind about Bella being allowed to be even near the fight. Knowing she's a huge target. He's so serious about it he wants Jacob to help him with his idea.

We stand in the woods together. Jasper, Edward, Bella, Jacob, and I. Jacob goes away with Bella in his arms. Us three wait here.

"Okay, go ahead." Edward nods to us. Jasper and I take each other's hands and smell for my sister. Nothing comes about, only Jacob's wolf smell.

"All we picked up was wolf stench. No Bella. This will work." Jasper tells his brother who seems relieved. "Great."

"Okay, Alice, don't be a stranger." My dad waves to my girlfriend as Bella gets out of her truck, confused. "Okay." Alice grins. I see Bella's surprised face.

"Your alibis for the battle is all arranged." She says, pulling me into a small kiss. Holding onto my waist. "Really?" Bella asks.

"I told your guy's father that our whole family's going camping this weekend. So you two are having a sleepover with me. Charlie is going fishing anyway." Alice simply tells us.

I'm surprised he went for it since I am dating Alice but it's probably because Bella will be there and he doesn't think I would do that around my sister. Which I wouldn't... Just in the woods...

"Charlie? You guys are on the same name basis now?" Bella questions. "Yeah, that's crazy." I add in with a little chuckle.

"Me, he likes. Actually, you and Edward will have the house to yourself tonight." Alice smirks at my sister. "Like alone?" "We're all going hunting. Powering up for the battle. You're welcome." She smiles, walking me to her car and we stand there.

"I'm going hunting?" I raise a brow.

"Well, we can go away from the others, of course." She flirts, pulling me closer by my neck to kiss my lips. "Mm, I guess so." I kissed her once more.

"I'll see you later, lovebug." She tells me, opening her car door. "Can't wait." I wink, walking away to join Bella again, going inside our house.

"Hey. Do either of you want a sandwich?" Charlie asks us. "No, I'm good." Bella says. "I'll take one." I yawn.

"Well, the sister. [Name]'s girlfriend. I like." He points to me and I smile, Bella playfully rolls her eyes.

"Alice, yeah. She's great." My sister agrees. She moves over to the sink to start washing the dishes. "Hey, dad. I was wondering. Why didn't you get remarried, after mom?" She asks him suddenly. I look over to him, he seems a little stunned by the question but nonetheless he answers it.

"I don't know... Guess I still haven't met the right gal. Why?"

"I don't know. I thought you just... Maybe you gave up on the whole institution of it. Of marriage. But do you think there's any value in it?" She rambles a little bit. I scrunch my face in where she's going with this.

"Yeah, yeah marriage has value. When you're older. Much older. Like your mother. It seems to work out fine for her the second time around. Later in life." He says.

"Yeah, I guess." She shrugs.

"You definitely don't wanna have to get married because you weren't careful." He tells her and I snort out a laugh, getting a small glare from both of them. "What?" She huffs.

"Look, you know what I'm talking about. Both of you should listen. There's things that you need to think about if you're gonna be physically intimate." He begins, both Bella and I groan.

"Not the talk." I complain. "Oh don't, it's just as embarrassing for me as it is for you two." He tells us. "I doubt that. And don't bother because mom beat you to it like ten years ago." Bella tries to stop him.

"Well, you two didn't have partners ten years ago." Charlie defends.

"I'm sure things work the same way." Bella shakes her head. "Alright, so you guys are taking precautions and-"

"Okay, dad. Please don't worry about that with me. Edward is old school." Bella admits to him. I see my dad perk up a bit.

"Old school, great. What's that? Like code for something?" He questions her. "Oh my God. Dad. I'm a virgin." She blurts out.

"Okay, good. Glad we covered that." He sighs. "Me too."

"Virgin...Liking Edward a little bit more now." He says and that makes a mortified Bella bolt for the door. I laugh quietly.

"I wouldn't laugh [Name] I still gotta talk to you." He points to me and I smirk.

"I'm a virgin too." I lied to him, why would I tell my dad I've had sex? Do I look stupid to you?

"Good, Cullens are getting on my good side today." He mutters and I shake my head, leaving the room.

Later that night Bella had left to go to the Cullen's house as I was joining the others during their hunting.

The whole time my mind was away from everything. Thinking about how the fight is going to go down. How I have to use my wolf form during it. I've been practicing with Sam but it hasn't been easy. It's been the complete opposite.

I can't get used to using it. It doesn't feel right.

I want to let the others know I don't think I'm going to turn but I know that would only upset them. They're busy hunting right now though so I've just been climbing through the trees.

Watching the view above. It's a scene I don't think I could fully appreciate as a human. I mean I can see further so there's that.

"[Name], darling." I heard Jasper speak, startling me since I wasn't paying attention. I jumped down from the tree.

"Yes?" I innocently ask, smiling at him. "I have something to talk to you about." He admits, I tilt my head. Not saying anything, just letting him continue on. "So, the battle." He starts then immediately pauses. "Mhm." I hum out.

"We've come to the conclusion that you should be with Bella. Away from the fight. Edward thinks it's best that it's another person protecting Bella up on the mountain. And then he and Jacob will be-" "Pause." I laugh out loud.

"I'm getting put with the weird love triangle?" I question, a little offended that they're making me do this. "I don't want to but yes." He nods his head shamefully.

I stare at him for a moment. Calming myself before I speak. I understand where they're coming from and it won't hurt to be up there. I'm confident in my family to get it done without even getting hurt. They're strong.

"Okay, I'll do it. Only because it does help me make sure my sister is safe. The only thing is I won't know if you and Alice are." I frown, grabbing his hand.

"Alice thought of that. You're a hybrid, you can hear everything from a distance." He tells me. "If one of us gets hurt you'll hear it and you can come a runnin." He smiles. I shrug my shoulders letting out a long breath.

"I guess, if I hear anything of your two's distress I will be there." I warned him. "Understandable, darlin." He kisses my lips shortly.

In the morning I'm waiting for Bella and Edward as Bella spread little drops of blood around the woods. "You're going overboard." I heard Edward say.

"If this is all I can contribute, I want to be thorough." My sister tells him. "The newborns will be frantic. Now let me put a bandage on that." He tells her. "It doesn't bother me anymore." He adds and I'm a little confused on why he said that. "Since when?" My sister asks.

"Since I spent 24 hours thinking you were dead." "You're not wearing your ring." Mm now I understand. "Well, I didn't want to risk losing it." She simply says. "Or risk Jacob seeing?"

"I think we should wait to tell him. I mean, at least till after the fight." I can't believe I found out they were engaged this way. "If you're having second thoughts..."

"I'm not. I just want him to have a clear head." Bella assures him. I hear Jacob come into play so I walk towards them as well.

"Whose head is unclear?" Jake asks. "Nobody's I hope." My sister says. "Alice says there's a storm coming." Edward announces.

"I can feel it." I stare up at the sky. "Me too, we should get going." Jacob says. "I'll take the longer route. But I'll get there first. Set up camp." Edward tells Jacob and I who nod our heads in understanding. He turns to my sister and kisses her before leaving.

"I have to turn. I'm not getting carried by you, sorry Jake." I apologize unsincerely. "Understandable." He waves me off. "Here. So I have something to change into." I hand a small bag to Bella.

I go off into the woods, taking off my shirt and pants before transforming into my wolf form.

I meet them up at the mountain, beating Jacob and Bella by a few minutes. Edward covers me in a blanket as I transform back into my regular form.

"Jesus, I'm glad I have the wolf heat." I let out a small shiver. He laughs. "Here." Bella hands me my bag and I thank her before going into the tent.

I quickly changed. I hear them talking but I don't pay much mind to it. Not really caring enough to do so. "You guys can come in now."

Late in the night the storm gets worse and worse meaning it's only colder. Bella's freezing, her teeth chattering can be heard miles away.

"I should have chosen a site lower down." Edward frowns. "No, it's fine. I'm okay." Bella assures him. "What can I do?" He asks. She only shakes her head. The zipper opens, revealing Jacob.

"I can't sleep with all that teeth chattering going on." He chuckles. "Forget  it." Edward stops him. "She may need her toes someday and let's face it. I'm hotter than you and [Name] here." He begins to crawl to Bella's side but Edward's hand is suddenly hard on his shoulder.

"Get your hand off me." Jacob warns him. "Get your hands off her."

"Don't fight." Bella says, still shivering. Edward notices how cold she looks and pulls his hand away. "Ashe gets sick, it's on you." Jacob tells him. Edward glances at me and I nod my head.

"Just let him, it will help her." He closes his eyes, letting Jacob do it. "Why, You're freezing, Bella. relax , you'll warm up soon. Faster if you took your clothes off." He jokes around. I make a disgusted expression.

"Jake." Bella warns him to stop. "Survival one oh one."  He sighs. Edward glares at him. This is going to be a long night.

I lay in the corner of the tent in my own sleeping bag. I slowly fall asleep, luckily just missing the conversation Jacob and Edward have.

In the morning Bella and I climbed out of the tent. We're met with the young wolf, Seth sitting there. Staring at us. "Hi, Seth." Bella waves to him. I give the boy a small smile who huffs in response as a little hello.

"Where's Jacob? Did he already..." "Not yet." Edward cuts off her sentence. "He's checking to see if the woods are clear before he goes." He tells her, wrapping an arm around her and that makes Seth job off.

"I'm really sorry about last night. That couldn't have been easy for you." Bella begins and that's my cue to leave the scene.

I joined Seth up above from where he was. It's boring up here. I wish I argued with Jasper and stayed to fight but I knew it would've made way more problems than what it's worth. I don't want to argue with them anymore.

After a while passes I know that Jacob joined them. I listen to the fighting down below. I focus on Jasper and Alice's voices, their grunts and orders to each other. I wish I could be there with them. I hear Alice and Jasper fighting one of the same newborns.

"Jasper- back off- you can't be everywhere at- watch out!" I hear Edward shout to the air, knowing they couldn't hear him. I hear Alice tell Jasper she can handle themselves.

I stand up to go join but Edward's already at my side stopping me. "He's alright. She is too. You can't join." He tells me and I glare up at him.

"Like hell I can't." I push past him but he only speeds in front of me once again. "Not yet." He tells me. Then we both stop. We share a look with Seth.

"Someone's hurt?" Bella asks us. "Seth, go." I ordered him. He bolts away from the campsite. "Is it Jasper?" She asks another question.

"She's close. I can hear her thoughts. She knew we weren't there but she caught mine and [Name]'s scent." He explains. I stand close to Bella, he stands in front of her. "She knew Bella would be with me. She thinks she's lucky with [Name]." He translated her thoughts out loud to us.

"She found us." Bella whispers.

"She's not alone." I add in. Then a boy, the missing one from the papers, steps out of the woods.

"Riley, listen to me. Victoria's just using you, to distract me, But she knows I'll kill you." Edward tells the boy who looks shocked at first. He hesitates. "In fact, she'll be glad she doesn't have to deal with you anymore." He tries to convince the boy, knowing it's the truth but he of course doesn't know that. Victoria emerges out of the woods.

"Don't listen, Riley. I told you about their mind tricks." She tells the boy, who is obviously easily influenced. "I can read her mind, so I know what she thinks about you." Edward tells him.

"He's lying." Victoria argues. "She only created you and this army to avenge her true mate, James. It's the only thing she cares about. Not you." Edward says.

"There's only you. You know that." Victoria says after seeing the hesitation in Riley. He focuses back on us. Positioning to attack. Victoria's eyes meet with Bella's, filled with bloodlust and revenge.

"Think about it. You're from Forks. You know the area. That's the only reason she chose you. She doesn't love you." Edward was a bit more harsh with his choice of words. Riley falters slightly. "Riley, don't let him do this to us. You know I love you." Victoria forms her face to be more emotional. Somehow convincing the boy.

"You're dead." Riley attacks Edward.

Seth leaps from the cliff above and lands on Riley taking a chunk out of hus hand. He screams in pain. Seth circles back for another attack. Edward starts toward Victoria as I hold onto Bella making sure she's not able to be touched. Victoria goes to escape but Edward darts in her path.

"You can escape. You always do. But you won't get another chance like this again." Edward threatens her choices. She hisses back at him, backing further away.

"You want her. You want [Name]. You want me, Jasper and Alice to feel the pain you felt when we killed James. When we tore him into pieces. Then turned him into ash. When I turned him into nothing." Edward edges her on. Which it works. She erupts and charges toward Bella and I.

I hold onto Bella before running out of the way. Edward intercepts her plan and they roll down the hill.

We watch Seth get kicked down the cliff. Riley spins toward us. To help Edward I push Bella back and grab Riley myself.  As we fought together he got me into a headlock. Edward fighting with Victoria seemed a little hopeless.

That was until Bella stabs her arm with a shard of some rock slate.

They stop going towards the smell. I take the arm that was around my neck and rip it off. A loud screeching noise because of it.

I toss the arm to the side and Seth leaps up, tackling Riley. Dragging him into the woods. "Victoria! Victoria!" Riley screams but the redhead does nothing, not even giving him another glance. We hear the screeching of his head getting torn off by Seth.

Edward charges towards Victoria, the two clash and begin to fight. It was fast.

He pummels her down and has himself behind her, holding her in a death grip. She struggles glaring at Bella and I. I ripped my shirt and tied it around Bella's wound tightly. Edward bares his teeth and bites a chunk from her neck, ripping her head off.

"Edward." Bella says, going towards him as she tries to touch him but he turns away. "I didn't want you to see that."

"I'll get some bandages for your arm." He starts for the tent but Seth lets out a small howl.

"Something's wrong." Bella says. "Alice needs us." I tell them. "And now." Edward agrees. "Why? What's happening?" Bella asks.

A massive fire burns when we show up. The Cullens and the wolves drag what's left of the newborns into the fire. "How long?" Edward asks.

"A few minutes. Maybe ten." Alice tells us. "They timed their arrival well." Rosalie joins in. "Probably hoping the newborns took a few of us out." Emmett spits.

"What's she doing here?" Edward points to the newborn girl behind them.

"We offered her safe haven if she stopped fighting. She took it." Esme tells him. "The pack needs to leave. The Volturi won't honor a truce with the werewolves." Carlisle speaks up.

"Where's Jacob?" Bella asks. "There." Edward points to the large world but then he hears a vampire behind him. Leah charges.

"Leah, don't!" Edward shuts but it's too late. The newborn grabs her ruff, yanking her off of her paws but Jacob leaps onto him tackling him. He tries to bite the newborn but it gets its arms around Jacob, crushing him. Jacob howls in agony. I wince at the sight.

"Jacob!" Bella screams. The other wolves pounce on the newborn, pulling him apart.

Edward and Carlisle appear to Jacob's side. Jacob is back to his human form. His face contorted and looked like he could barely breathe.

"Hold on, carlisle is gonna take care of you." Edward tells the boy. "The bones on the right half of his body are shattered." Carlisle tells everyone. Jacob squeezes Edward's hand. Bella reaches them, dropping to her knees and she strokes his face. "Bella." He huffs out. "Jake, I'm right here." She says.

"Jacob, you idiot. I had it." Leah tells him, saddened by what happened and obviously feeling guilt. "Leah." Sam states, basically telling her not now.

"I need to set the bones before his accelerated healing kicks in. It's already starting." Carlisle says. "We need to get him out of here. We;re not gonna win in a fight with the Volturi." Edward orders,

"We'll take him back to Billy's." Sam nods. "I'll be there as soon as I can." Carlisle assures them. "Hand in there, Jake. We got you." Bella touches him one last time.

Jacob cries out in pain as the pack lifts him.

"They're here." Alice speaks up. I stand between Jasper and her.  "It appears you've done our work for us." Jane comes into view out of the smoke.

"Impressive. I've never seen a coven escape an assault of this magnitude intact." Jane raises a brow. "We were lucky." Carlisle smiles.

"I doubt that." Jane hums. "It appears we missed an entertaining fight." Alec frowns in disappointment. "Yes, it's not often rendered unnecessary."

"If you'd arrived a half hour ago, you would've fulfilled your purpose." Edward hostilely tells her.

"Pity."

She then looks behind us, spotting the young girl. "You missed one." Jane points.

"We offered her asylum in exchange for her surrender." Carlisle informs her. "That wasn't yours to offer." Jane moves towards the young one. Esme shoots Carlisle a concerned look.

"Why did you come?" But before the girl can answer the question she uses her power on the girl. She screams in pain.

"They came to destroy us. To kill Bella and [Name]." Esme speaks but Jane ignores her. Enjoying the pain. "Who created you?"

"You don't need to do that. She'll tell you anything you want to know." Esme pleads with the blonde vampire. "I know."

Carlisle puts a hand on his wife's shoulder. The girl's screams stop. "I don't know, Riley wouldn't tell us. He said our thoughts weren't safe." She tells Jane, who only zaps her again.

"Her name was Victoria. Perhaps you knew her." Edward says.

"Jane faces Edward with an unnerving smile. The other three positions behind Jane. "Edward. If the Volturi had knowledge of Victoria, they would've stopped her. Isn't that right, Jane?" Carlisle makes eye contact with the girl who just stares at him.

"Of course. Felix." She suddenly says and the brunette male moves to the girl.

"She didn't know what she was doing. We'll take responsibility for her. Give her a chance." Esme begs with Jane and the other members.

"The volturi don't give second chances. Keep that in mind. Caius will be interested to know that she's still human." Jane looks over to Bella. "The date is set." Bella spits out.

"Take care of that Felix. I'd like to go home." She ignores my sister.

The male does it and we all wince at the noises. "Thank you, Felix. Until next time." They all leave.

Later that day I sat in my room. On my bed more specifically. Alice and Jasper at the foot of it.

"Edward and Bella are engaged." I suddenly tell them with my lips pursed out stuck in thought.

"Mhm, that's huge. Are you excited for them?" Alice asks me and I nod. "Of course."

"Why are you bringing it up, darlin '?" Jasper asks with a small smirk on his lips.

"Oh no reason." I lay back in my bed. I hear them snicker at me. Joining me in laying on either side of me.

"Is there something you're hinting at?" Alice pokes my side. "I don't know, am I?" I stay strong with a stern straight facial expression.

"Well polyamory isn't exactly legal in most states." Jasper points out to me.

"Let's move to another country." I simply shrug my shoulders causing them both to laugh.

"We'll get married." Alice hums. "Someday."

"Why not now." I offer. "Are you proposing to us?" She asks and I raise a brow. "Mmm, why do I have to be the one to propose?" I huff.

"You brought it up." Jasper reminds me and I chuckle.

"Fair, fair." I kiss his lips then face Alice to do the same.

"Let's let them have their moment then right after steal their thunder." I exclaim, closing my eyes.

"Sounds fair to me, lovebug." Alice lays her head on my chest.

"Yeah, very smart, darlin." Jasper agrees.

Alright, Post Eclipse, What Happens

PRM Bella

Bella is very confused.

She's back in Forks Washington, living with her father (who is suddenly alive and well), and quickly finds out she's in Hell.

For you see, she's engaged to be married to Edward Cullen in a few weeks' time.

Bella is horrified, terrified, and beyond enraged. This is her personal Hell. She wonders if Edward is holding her family hostage somehow, if the other Bella agreed to this because he'd threatened Charlie's life.

Before she can even find out that they're vampires, she does the one thing she can. She can't protect her father or her mother, but she can ensure Edward never gets what he wants: she flees to Italy.

Alice, of course, sees this decision and thinks Bella's gone mad. She tries to hold an intervention at first privately, then with the entire family.

Rosalie is overjoyed, Bella has decided to be sane and not choose to become a vampire. Then Bella starts talking and accuses Edward of being the lowest, most vile, worm to crawl across the face of the Earth. She also insults Emmett, seemingly out of nowhere (which Rosalie really doesn't like).

Bella demands the wedding is off and says she's going directly to Italy to talk to Marcus.

Well, no one saw that coming.

Edward throws a fit, they can't allow this, something is wrong with Bella and so soon after Jane's appearance it has to be the Volturi. Her loss of memory is not natural! AND NOW SHE'S GOING DIRECTLY TO VOLTERRA?!

Carlisle agrees this is weird but, well, wouldn't she want to see Aro rather than Marcus if that was the case? Mostly he's just very uncomfortable both with all of this and even hinting that Edward would want the wedding to continue without Bella's consent.

Edward promises to make Bella fall in love with him all over again.

Bella breaks her hand on his face.

I imagine eventually Bella badgers Carlisle into calling Aro (despite what happened in Eclipse) who is... very confused but otherwise pleased. Sure, they can incorporate Bella into the guard and turn her in Italy. If that's what she wants who is he to get in the way.

Pity about his son's love life.

Bella goes off to Italy and Edward never quite forgives Carlisle for being fooled by them. He badmouths the Volturi to anyone who asks and vows to visit them himself in the future so as to win Bella back.

(Bella, meanwhile, wonders what's up with Marcus).

Canon Bella

Bella's father has just been eaten by bears.

Now, Bella knows what this means, but she blames James, Victoria, and Laurent. She also has no idea what she's doing in Volterra, why she's supposed to hang around Marcus, and why Carlisle's here alone.

She confronts Carlisle as soon as she can and he gets a very confusing rant of how she has amnesia but has also made up a lot of eeriely accurate memories regarding his family including details such as how he was turned that she absolutely shouldn't know.

Well.

There's an intervention and Aro's not sure how to feel but he guesses since she knows about the secret and seems fine... success? They can turn her?

Bella's all for this but... she doesn't want to hang around the Volturi, she wants to see Edward and go home.

Aro explains she can't go home and as for Edward...

Bad idea.

Bella learns that in this universe, it's highly likely Edward just ate her father.

That Edward, in fact, hates her.

This isn't news to Bella as she flashes back to her first Biology class. Where he did hate her. This is just the world where he never got to come back to school and get to know and fall in love with her.

Bella's horrified.

She's a horrified, blubbering, mess who is then turned into a vampire.

Marcus gets to help her through the emotional turmoil and promises to help her meet Edward if she wants. But only if Renata, Jane, or Alec is with her along with Marcus himself.

I imagine they do this eventually and... it's not good.
