When he had left the Café that night, Talon wasn’t sure if he should really go to the Christmas market at the tree farm.

“But you said you almost kissed! So there is definitely something there! That’s a good thing, I don’t see why it should be a reason not to go to the market,” Halea had said to him over the phone.

“No, it’s not good. The situation is too complicated. It would be better to stay away from him.”

Talon sighed, massaging his temple in an attempt to calm his nerves.

“Is it complicated or are you just making it complicated again?”

“I constantly lie to him, Halea. I’m here to get his father to sell their property, to rob them off their home. And he’s in a relationship already.”

Probably. Maybe.

“You don’t know that,” Halea argued. “You are just assuming again. Have you ever tried to talk to him instead?”

“Even if he’s not in a relationship, did you miss the part where I’m essentially here to ruin their existence?”

“You are ruining no one’s existence. You haven’t even tried to get Mr. Hunter to sell the farm yet. And even then, they will get quite some money for the sale, too.”

“You’re not here, Hal. You don’t know them, you don’t know how much this place means to them. Also it would be a forced sale, their only alternative is getting kicked out.”

Which wasn’t really an alternative at all.

Sooner or later they’d lose anyway, but maybe they’d have more time if he wasn’t here to-

“Talon, I know this situation sucks, but you have to stop freaking out and taking all the blame. You need to figure out what you want and how you want to achieve it instead. Hiding won’t help you. If you really have feelings for him, don’t run away. Act. That’s what you’re known for.”

“But I don’t know what to do,” Talon admitted quietly.

“You will find out.” Halea’s voice was uncharacteristically soft.

“You always do. But until then, try to live a little. Go to that Christmas market. I’ll try to keep your dad off your back for a while.”

“Thank you. You’re the best.”

A soft laugh was heard from the other side of the line.

“Say that again please, I need to record it and send it to our old college friends.”

Talon had laughed then and thanked her again and after he ended the call, decided he’d go to the market on Friday.

And now it was Friday.

Talon got his cloak and Aiden’s scarf and made his way to the Christmas tree farm once again.

He almost didn’t recognize it.

Little booths with all kinds of products were lined up on the yard that was decorated with Christmas lights and fir branches.

Wood was pilled up in the bonfire pit, Christmas music sounded softly from speakers.

All sorts of handcrafts, Christmas decorations and other items were up for the people to buy.

And there were many people.

Aiden really wasn’t lying when he said people came from farther away cities to visit the farm’s Christmas market.

People of all ages were gathered here, the sound of children laughing mixed with the giddy chatter of the adults, all enjoying the magical atmosphere of the market and the farm it took place on.

Talon, too, let himself be pulled into this moment, strolling through the masses and checking out the booths.

Maya waved at him from a booth where she sold the cookies the three of them had made last time.

Talon waved back at her, before starting to search for the person he was here for in the first place.

He found Aiden as he was helping a little girl to pick out the “perfect Christmas tree”.

With the patience of an angel he let her inspect every single tree, leading her to the next when she found something she didn’t like about the tree before.

Talon watched them silently for a while.

Only when the perfect tree was found and Aiden waved back at the girl as she and her family walked away with the tree did he make himself known.

“Hey,” Aiden’s eyes sparkled as he greeted Talon.

His gaze flickered down to the scarf around Talon’s neck and his smile grew a bit wider.

“You’re still wearing it,” he commented.

Talon blushed. “I can give it back if you-“

“No. Keep it, it looks nice on you.”

Aiden cleared his throat. “Well, I promised you you’ll get the best hot chocolate here, didn’t I? Let’s go.”

Without even waiting for Talon’s reply he took his hand and dragged him towards a booth with little tables around it.

It was the best visited of all the booths around.

“Hey Alexander, what are you doing here?” Aiden greeted the man with the soft pink hair that stood behind the counter.

Alexander smiled. “Amalie was out of marshmallows, so she had to get new ones and asked me if I could take over for a while. And since my boyfriend left me here because he ‘has to run an important errand’, I had time, so…”

He looked down on their still joined hands, a knowing smile on his lips.

“What can I get you?”

Talon, who hadn’t registered that he was still holding on to Aiden, let go of his hand immediately, while Aiden ordered two hot chocolates.

“It’s a shame there’s no marshmallows, but,” he turned to Talon. “Whipped cream?”

Talon nodded. “Sounds nice.”

Alexander prepared their order, given them each a mug filled with hot chocolate that smelled heavenly.

“On the house,” he said. “For our host and his company.”

He winked and Aiden laughed at that, thanking him. Then the two made their way to one of the few free tables.

“Come now,” Aiden said, leaning back in his chair with a smile, awaiting Talon’s reaction. “Try it.”

Talon did as he was told and his eyes widened as he took the first sip.

It was no exaggeration, this really was the best hot chocolate Talon ever tasted.

Aiden laughed at his reaction. “I take it you like it, then.”

“That is an understatement.”

“That’s what I thought. So how do you like our little Christmas market?”

Aiden’s hands wrapped around the warmth of his mug and he leaned forward a little.

“It is really nice.” It really was. “I think I’m slowly getting used to this Christmas craziness.”

Aiden laughed. He pointed at Talon’s chest.

“You are the crazy one, Mr. Scrooge, for not liking Christmas.”

Talon leaned forward as well. “Maybe I just needed a little persuasion.”

Aiden lifted the mug to his lips, hiding a smile behind it. “Well you’ve come to the right place then.”

“What luck.”

“For you and me both.”

Talon’s cheeks colored at that and Aiden only chuckled before taking a sip from his hot chocolate.

When he sat the mug down, there was whipped cream stuck above his bottom lip.

Talon laughed.

Aiden raised an eyebrow. “What?”

“You’ve got whipped cream there,” Talon said between chuckles as he watched Aiden struggling to get the whipped cream off.

“Wait, let me do it.”

Without much thinking, Talon reached out to brush the whipped cream off of Aiden’s face with his thumb, then raised it to his own lips to lick the cream off.

Only when he saw Aiden’s (pretty adorable) expression - eyes blinking in surprise, lips slightly parted in disbelief and blush high up on his cheeks - did he register what he just did and got so red that he probably matched the scarf wrapped around his neck.

“You like the hot chocolate, guys?” Alexander asked, getting both of them out of their frozen state as their heads whipped around to him almost in synch.

It must’ve looked pretty funny and judging by the upward tilt of his lips Alexander thought the same.

He had his arm linked with a handsome dark-haired guy, who lifted his hand in greeting.

Aiden won back his composure first. He smiled.

“Yeah, thank you.”

Talon admired how he managed to not stutter when he said it.

“You made it almost as well as Amalie.”

Pretending to be offended, Alexander gasped, hand over his heart.

A snort escaped the lips of the man next to him as he eyed him fondly.

“Well, we’ll go now,” Alexander said. “Have fun you two, maybe we’ll see each other at the bonfire.”

He turned to the man next to him. “Come, babe, let’s go. I gotta work on my book a bit before we come back tonight.”

With that the two men waved goodbye and left.

It’s okay, Talon told himself, they probably didn’t see what you just did.

But as the two walked away, Alexander turned around to look at them one last time and gave Talon a thumbs up, grinning.

Oh no, he totally saw it.

Talon must be cursed or something.

He looked back at Aiden, who smiled at him, a little unsure.

“Another one?” he asked, raising his mug.

Talon smiled back at him.

“I’d like that.”

Remember how I said I had too many AUs. Well, another one just dropped. I've been working on this one off and on all week not really sure I was going to do anything with it, but last night it became a full -fledged story and not just a plot bunny.

So to prepare you for that, I wrote down the world building so that I don't have to go into detail in the story.

So here you go:

Werewolf Steve and Vampire Eddie (actual title TBA).

The city of Hawkins is one of the few cities in the country that was the home to both a vampire coven and a werewolf pack. It is a safe haven for all supernatural and hunters are forbidden from entering its city limits.

The coven is run by Billy Hargrove. He swept into town with his small vampire family and killed the previous Dominus (leader), taking over the coven. Billy is born vampire, meaning both his parents were vampires who sired him. Max is also born.

Even though it’s called Harrington Pack, the pack leader isn’t hereditary. The leader is always who the strongest male wolf is. The alpha female usually the male’s bondmate but not always. Nancy is the alpha female because of how strong she is and not because she dated Steve in high school. When Hopper was alpha, Joyce was alpha female for example.

This is the largest the pack has been in years. It includes the Hoppers (originally his wife and daughter before his daughter died and his first bondmate left the pack, now him and adopted Jane), the Byers, the Wheelers, the Sinclairs, the Harringtons, and Hendersons. With the Byers and the Hendersons, the dads were banished when it came out they were abusing their family.

Banishment is a mark on the back of the former pack member’s neck that prevents other packs from taking them in or forming a pack of their own. People can willing leave a pack to join another (like getting married or joining a temporary pack when they’re at college away from home), but banishment is a raw deal and used rarely. Hop banished both Lonnie and Mr Henderson, when he came out of his drunken stupor when he adopted Jane.

The Buckleys, Hagens, and Perkins have been long time keepers of the Harrington pack. A keeper is a kind of werewolf version of a vampire’s thrall. Someone who takes care of them when they are in wolf form or can touch silver if they get hurt.

For the most part the wolf form of the pack is like their hair color. Nancy, Mike, and Dustin all have curly fur in wolf form, Mike’s isn’t has bad as the other two though. The exception being the Sinclairs, (their fur isn’t wiry or curly like the other three, it’s just longer and jet black), and Steve. He’s a two-tone wolf. He has warm brown fur on top, but his legs, belly, and tip of his tail are honey colored.

Steve is made head of the Hawkins pack after Hopper was kidnapped by hunters and was reported MPD (missing, presumed dead). He won it through combat a couple of the older wolves tried for the role, but nineteen year old Steve beat them all.

Ok I’m assuming you mean ghost Bonnie… hmm… but let me see if I can collect random thoughts. Also thank you anon youre a sweetheart <3

General summary: “The Ghost Bride” is a version of my crp OC bonnie made for a 2014-fanon slender mansion AU with my friends! She lives in the mansion w all my friends OCs. The mansion is in a.. pocket dimension sorta? I think?

This is really funny but I watched inside out 2. Anxiety/maya hawke is probably her voice claim. HAHAHAH

She sorta gives the energy of Megan in “but I’m a cheerleader”. She’s largely in denial about being a lesbian and is pretty clueless/ignorant on it, having grown up in the 70-80s before she died

Her fiancé was a very traditional American guy. Huge family of hunters, which always made Bonnie uneasy going to his house and seeing deer heads displayed on the walls. When he hunted her down for running off the aisle, she was mostly thinking about all those deer. And how she was next, obvi

Her story (after death) mainly goes in 2-3 arcs:

1. She spends several decades(although time is distorted) in the slender forest just roaming around, sobbing, begging her fiancé not to shoot, hiding behind trees and rocks and heaving nonstop. It’s impossible to talk to her and she’s MOSTLY not even visible to other residents, considering she’s a ghost - but occasionally she spooks people

2. Eventually she starts to settle into the mansion. Slendy sorta messes with her head - he tries to make her forget what happened to her, and make her forget that she’s even dead, but it actually just leaves her really confused and having a constantly warped sense of reality and what stage of life she’s in. Sometimes she thinks she’s back in highschool fawning over a crush, sometimes she thinks she’s days away from her dream wedding, sometimes she thinks she’s been married for years. In general she’s just kinda like… stupid …. Super ditzy, just lays around in bed all day in nightgowns and reading teen magazines and chewing bubblegum. Doesn’t throw tantrums but she will have random moments where she loses her shit and starts tearing her room apart freaking out over a wedding. Gets called bridezilla by a certain somebody… 😒😒

3. She ends up killing her fiancé, and that’s sorta what snaps her back into reality. She understands, remembers, and accepts what happened to her. She spends time with her friends and begins the whole “ghost recovery acceptance processing your own death” thing. She’s mostly okay with it, considering she’s exactly where she wants to be - a freaky mansion with her friends, ran by some guy she views as a father figure

She tends to the mansions garden the most I believe. Usually drags her friends out and makes them do a lot of the harder work (mowing the lawn, dealing with pests, cleaning gutters) while she does the rest. Eventually gets told off for gender roles or something funny . LMAOOO

She cannot cook. Swears she’s gonna be the best damn house wife in the world. Cannot cook. Can not cook. Hear me when I say this. She can not cook. OK IM EXAGGERATING but she does suck at cooking…

Loves wearing bunny slippers and making her friends match other animal slippers with her.

Always has to be in some sort of bridal wear - whether it’s a wedding dress, a bridal party dress, a slip dress, night gown, robe. Something white and frilly and preferably silky

About this au, some things are changed some stayed the same but just so you know, characters are kind of based on:

^Phoenix Wright - Leorio, aspiring defense lawyer, he wants to protect those whom people are averting their eyes from. He more or less willingly gets mentored by the stupidly smart brat Killlua who seems to know any law term and norm. They banter a lot but actually become decent friends.

^Maya Fey - Gon, a spiritualist of a world-renowed family Freecss with traditions. The rumors say they can contact the true spirit and connect with the netherworld. Has been saved by Leorio and Killua both, joins hands with them afterwards

^Edgewotrth - Kurapika, got mentored by the Zoldycks on how to become top prosecutor. He's utmost driven to not let any true criminal go unpunished. Gathers renown until the day he'll be able to catch Phantom Troupe and bring justice to the fallen, has a companionship with Killua bordering on sibiling bond

^Mia Fey and Franziska mix up - Killua, he has a pivotal role in leading Leorio's carier and actually becomes his mentor after triyng to cut off his ties to his inheritance as the Zoldyck heir, a true tycoon of the prosecution world. During trials if he decides to participate he takes on a role of a consultant.

As you can see, though Leorio is the titular attorney, Killua is the glue connecting everyone in here. But that just leaves all the more unresolved conflict because he hides the truth of his heritage. He found Leorio by chance and he got impressed by him after a second third take with the attitude he has, how it's not about money but bringing the truth to the table, pretty much opposite of the Zoldycks. I'm not good at writing but I'll try to say few things about their cases? It's more or less basing of "The Trilogy"but with the spin of HxH characters being themselves, it sure would reflect in the plot,

-A case about mysterious animal being spotted, the legendary Chimera Ant! Gon is a huge deal on this case because his spiritualist power call back to the wilderness and all the instinct one gets from it.A lot of logic/belief topic going on here and killugon spotlight

-A case of murder on the "Hunter X" movie plan, it's related to Gon because he was there to meet the main hero, Kite, his godfather. He gets roped into the investigation and is considered suspect for some time before

-Another case in which Gon is the main suspect. Since he's from family of spiritualists, vibing with the nature and otherworld. So when there's a case against him Killua is determined to find his innocence. Even if it means going against Kurapika. That's also the case that showcased Leorio and Kurapika's banter and whatnot so major old marriage leopika vibe

-There's a huge final case in which member of the PT's is murdered and who would have guessed, Kurapika is found bloodied on the crime scene. This is a very turnaround case because the one responsible for prosecuting it, is no one else but Killua after he disappeared (made a tactical retreat) from Leorio's side. Perhaps family pressure? Illumi blackmailing him? Being ashamed of 'tricking' Gon and Leorio and leaving Kurapika to deal with everything alone? All of the above, because now he stands against everyone he grew to be fond of. Eventually, the true killer gets found giving a chance to mend strained bonds, by joining hands in catching the real culprit all along that was hiding among the witnesses. The fake group member [wink] -Ps, Netero's just playing along for the trial's sake even if he's got the truth like way earlier, he's not naive, but likes seeing 'entertaining trial' as long as it's goes the right way eventually

-Leopika & killugon featured, all aged up, imagine lots and lots of banter and sexual tension in the court

The Tomb of Time Band AU

My good friend Kait put forth the idea of my demititan OCs making a band, and that idea took root in my brain like a parasitic worm, so I made a few album cover mock-ups with FF14 and Clip Studio Paint! I imagine them primarily doing symphonic rock, with Frieda as the frontman/lead singer, Hunter on percussion, Maya on keyboard/synthesizer, Pierce on bass, and Siren on electric guitar/backup vocals. Their sound would probably have a dark fantasy vibe.

Now if only I knew how to make music to go with these...

Hi first off this blog is awesome and I think this is such a cool idea. Secondly we just found out about a new subsystem of fragments and we need some help with their names and such.

It’s a Kpop/Idol group each one based on different colours of the rainbow. (Including light and dark of each colour) would it be okay to ask this all in the one ask or would you prefer separate asks for each? They’re still undecided on gender so any for names and pronouns would be fine.

Holy shit i just remembered i never introduced tumblr to Betrayal au im gonna change that

So basically, in betrayal au, Maya doesn’t meet the raiders till much later. Before that happens, she also experiences way more betrayal trauma, assassination/murder attempts and overall discrimination than in canon. In fact, pretty much all she lived from interactions with other people ended up being negative, or at best, neutral, either on the short or long run.

So naturally, instead of being open to form new relationships, she starts to distance herself from others. (Cauz yk. Who would want to try to socialize again after over 27 years of perpetual negativity from people? You try keeping your cool after that) By the time she finally meets the raiders, things are different than in canon…

That was the short version. Long version is under the cut

(I shall post a part 2 on bl3 BAU cauz theres a few important things to say about her and if i cram it in here the post will just be. Interminable.)

When she gets on Pandora, instead of directly joining the raiders, Maya is instead approached by a different group of so called « vault hunters » who offer her to work together to open the vault.

As time passes and she gets to know her teammates, even though the betrayal from the order of the impending storm still deeply affects her emotionally, she learns to trust and care for those new friends.

(For reference, the impending storm plot twist™️ also happens earlier, so she also gets to pandora sooner)

Well surprise! Turns out this was a trap too! The « vh » team lured her into trusting them so they could get their hands on a siren, after all. Plan devised by a commander in Hyperion, fyi.

In an act of self defense, she had to kill the very people she thought she could trust. Once again, it wasn’t her who was welcomed with open arms in a family. This whole time, all they cared about were her powers.

Now, this had happened twice, and this time, she nearly died. A part of her did die that day.

Every time she trusted people, it was used against her.

And how about the strangers she had met so far, well, in her life? Either avoided her, visibly feared her or tried to kill her. At best, they just went on to live their day.

So, she started to believe that maybe she was doomed to be left behind every time she tried to follow others. To get hurt every time she showed vulnerability. To be hunted. Feared. Hated.

And can you blame her?

I mean, after all, when was the last time people genuinely cared about her?

Did that ever happen in the first place?

So, as Pandora just seems to keep proving her fears are justified, she learns to become distant.

After making the same mistake twice, she wasn’t going to let people deceive her again. Now she knew that if she wanted to reach her goal to learn about sirens, it wasn’t by entrusting others with her help.

At some point, the crimson raiders offer to team up. But she won’t let her guard down so easily now. She refuses. I mean, what’s stopping them to just take all the info they need from her hands once they don’t need her help anymore?

So, led by nothing but bits of info and a mysterious voice in her head (As much as she’s real hesitant to follow the advice of the so called « ai » talking to her somehow, she’s the best lead she’s got.), she leads a one woman hunt for the vault key.

But things don’t go exactly as planned (as always). The moment she’s finally close to get the thing, guess who shows up? That’s right! The crimson fucking raiders, and they want the key too!

Lilith confronts her. She gives her another chance to work together, but Maya just can’t take that kind of risk a third time. So, siren fight ensues, and things seem to be going well, until Lilith decides enough is enough and uses eridium. However, instead of killing the fellow siren, she knocks her out and gets her to sanctuary.

Held captive by the raiders (You can thank Lilith for that btw. Homegirl can’t get herself to kill a fellow siren just yet) a deal is eventually made (working with other people may be the last thing she’d do under normal circumstances, but she has no choice. They caught her.)

So against her own will, she learns to know the people she works with, thinking that after the key is acquired, she’s just get the info she needs and then fuck off. But once again. Didn’t go as planned. These guys are way more loveable than expected-

Goddamn it.

She has one hell of a crisis when she realizes that not only she’s feeling herself starting to care about those people, but that this odd feeling she has whenever she’s with the odd one who screams about meat might be romantic attraction. (And it is)

It takes time, but the raiders eventually prove to her that this time, it’s mutual. Things get better after that 💜

(She’s still more of a bastard than canon tho. All this time of the intimidating distant facade taught her how nice it feels to be a lil mean. As a treat)

Another noticeable trait is the massive scar she has on her face. It was inflicted by one of the members of the fake vh team the day of the betrayal (it still brings a load of bad memories and she hates it) I shall post how the scar looks pretty soon.

Anyways au rant under the cut

Okay so basically it's bloodborne but I'm swapping in ace attorney characters and changing a few things around so uh here are hy silly ideas/thoughts and feel free to dm me or reply with more ideas/questions if you wanna yap with me lol

Anyways

Things aren't going to play out 1-1 with the game just because the ace attorney characters and their relations to eachother make that uh kind of difficult. For example, instead of the mentor & apprentice/ father & daughter relationshipof Gehrman and Maria (thats how I interpretit anyways), Pheonix is going to be Mia's apprentice, and he learned everything from her instead of the other way around. That's a relativelylight example but there will likely be more extreme examples. There will be something there that fills a similar role but not the exact.

Anyways, the major character swaps right now are:

Good Hunter (protagonist) -> Maya & Franziska (they're going through Yharnam together bc I want them to lol)

Gehrman -> Pheonix

Plain Doll -> Trucy (also fills messenger role)

Laurence -> Edgeworth

Those are the ones I have thought out but they are also subject to change. I'm undecided on what to do for the Chapel Dweller and the rest of the Oedon squad, the suspicious beggar, Rom, and Valtr for Bloodborne characters (as well as others I mightve forgotten), and I want to try and include Pearl (might swap her w/ trucy for the Doll role, still thinking on that one), Kay, and Sebastian if I can find a place they fit well, as well as some other side characters like Will Powers, Adrian Andrews, etc etc. We'll see what fits where though.

Certain human (or once human/human like) characters will likely remain the same like Queen Yharnam and Queen Annalise because it would be weird to change them, and all the great ones would stay the same as well.

As for weapons & outfits, most NPC's will keep their normal weapons and clothes (with maybe some small tweaks & color changes to match them a little better) with the exception of trucy if she stays as the doll and Maya & Fran, who each will have their own player character builds (who I might go through the game with to test out if I get bored lol).

Franziska: she's going to have the Old Hunter's outfit (with a few minor swaps & the hat switched to the Yharnam Hunter gear). Her weapons are going to be the Threaded Cane (obviously) and hunter pistol at first but she might switch to the Evelyn or another gun later (idk though I never mess with the guns much lol). She might also grab another weapon as her secondary (maybe beasthunter Saif or Rakuyo) but I'm not sure on that yet. If she uses any hunter tools it'll probably only be Old Hunter Bone & Beast Roar. Basically primary dex build with a small risk of beasthood (bc werewolf Fran.... 😳).

Maya's is going to change a little more with her having a strength/arcane build (I feel like it makes sense with the spirit channeling stuff lol). She's gonna start the classic Sawcleaver until she gets Ludwig's Holy Blade later and eventually the Holy Moonlight Sword (might completely skip the holy blade depending on how I decide they progress). She's not really going to have a left hand weapon but instead is going to have a lot of the arcane hunter tools, specifically ones like augur of ebrietas, call beyond, etc (she will get them in like their normal places though). I'm still thinking on her outfit in the beginning but I think eventually she picks up the Choir Set or Executioner Set (leaning towards Choir atm though).

I have a bunch of like other plot things I'm thinking about (why they're in yharnam, great one interference, how the doll happened w/o it being mia, you know).

Anyways this was a lot of yapping that I'm probably just gonna talk about again if I post the doodles so yeah. May the good blood guide your way squad.

Hear me out, a mcsm au where Lukas is a vampire, and Jesse is a monster hunter, but when getting the job he didn’t read the job description and thought monster hunter, was like, ‘hunt down monster friends’

Lukas originally thought Jesse was going to kill him, hearing a monster hunter with a high rank was after him. That is, until he just sees a little silly guy at his doorstep asking for refuge from the storm

He looks like a sompy wet cat so Lukas takes him and his friends, hesitantly, instant change in demeanor seeing how silly they all are. Little goofy guys who just needed a place to stay for the storm.

They move. A lot, always moving from place to place, so Lukas wants them to stay at his little castle home thing… Lukas learns to live a little, being a little coddled vampire that never rlly got to explore or do much as a kid. Compared to Jesse,,, who had no parents 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️

Other sick mentions

Lukas likes drinking tomato Juice, he calls it his Vegan alternative,

he’ll still drink human blood ofc, gotta keep the human population stable, keystone species job and all of that /j

Jesse is a Phoenix hybird (y’all know me and my obsession with pheonix au’s 😔🤞) that hides most of his traits, this is why he joined in the first place, he wanted friends :(

he gets friends in the form of Axel who’s an elf, Olivia who’s also a Sphinx, Petra as a Pegasus, Aiden who is a vampire, Maya as a Harpy, and Gill was a werewolf

No Jesse has not mentioned the fact he is a Phoenix to any of his friends 🧍‍♂️ he forgor 💀

Jesse has not killed anyone, he would never kill (unless Lukas or any of his friends asked him too—) But yeah he would never kill and never has, he’s too good for this world 😔

Jesse loves having his friends with him, they don’t know he’s a Phoenix, and he doesn’t plan to tell them, it’s been years 😭 and he just forgor, please man he’s so stupid

His main reason for taking the job though was because he had a super big crush on Lukas, who was being chased by monster hunters 😔😔 the things he would do for Lukas bruh

Jesse loves stories, books, literally almost any sort of academic style thing he enjoys. He’s such a little scholarly boy 🫶🫶🫶 he’s so silly and goofy. Lukas loves listening to him ramble and vise-versa

Talon sat on his now usual place in Maya’s Café, trying to search for a solution.

After a crisis call with Halea yesterday when he retuned from the farm, he came to the conclusion that there was no way he could assist his father’s cruel plan.

It just wasn’t right anymore.

Well, it was never right to begin with, Talon saw that now, but he didn’t know what to do.

His father started getting impatient. He called Talon yesterday and Talon only told him that he was on it.

“I’m currently working on negotiating with Mr. Hunter’s son.”

Just another lie on his list. But it didn’t sting to lie to his father as much as it did lying to Aiden.

Talon still had his scarf from yesterday. He should give it back, but he couldn’t bring himself to, holding on to it. And Aiden had let him.

If he knew the truth about Talon he’d probably ask back for it and burn it immediately.

A voice in his head sounding like Halea told him he’s being overdramatic. But what if he was?

His visit here was about to turn from a cheesy romcom to a drama, so it seemed more than appropriate.

The bell over the Café door rang and in came the bane of his existence, Aiden Hunter.

He and some other guy were carrying a huge Christmas tree. As Maya saw them and the tree, she clapped her hands in delight.

“What a beautiful Christmas tree, boys! Please put it over there!”

“It’s not like the tree stands in the same place every year,” Aiden’s helper, a young man with strawberry blonde hair and freckles all over his nose, joked.

“Less talking, Theo, more supporting,” Aiden grunted and Talon couldn’t help but snort.

He watched in amusement how both men - under Maya’s watchful eyes of course - put up the Christmas tree in its rightful place.

It looked nice, very nice. It must’ve been one of the “best of the best” trees Aiden showed him yesterday.

When they were done, the other man - Theo - gave Maya and Aiden each a short hug before leaving the Café and driving away with the farm’s car, leaving Aiden to stand next to Maya, examining the tree.

Maya was more than delighted, she hugged Aiden from the side, snuggling him tightly.

Talon tried to ignore the pang of jealousy he felt at that.

“Thanks, Ad,” Maya exclaimed, “this is the most perfect Christmas tree we ever had.”

Aiden laughed. “You say that every year. But you’re welcome. Only the best for my favorite girl.”

He kissed her cheek and yeah, now Talon definitely was jealous.

He had the suspicion before, that the two were maybe dating.

They always seemed so close to each other when they were together, with no sense of personal space, always touching and communicating without even needing words.

Did Talon have any confirmation that they were actually a couple?

No.

He never saw them kiss, except for kisses on the cheek. Aiden never talked about Maya much, nor had he mentioned being in a relationship.

Did Talon choose to believe it anyway?

Absolutely.

It’s not like he got his hopes up anyway. That he thought he’d have a chance with Aiden, just because sometimes Talon felt like he had just been flirted with when Aiden teased him.

After finding out the truth Aiden would hate him anyway. But still.

He was about to stand up and leave, leaving behind the scarf, but he couldn’t let go of it for some reason and while he stood there and fought with himself it was already to late and Aiden spotted him.

Having his smile directed at him made warmth rise in Talon again, and he greeted Aiden back with an awkward lift of his hand and a “Hey.”

Maya now turned to him, too. “Talon!”

She smiled. “Could you help Aiden get the boxes with the Christmas tree decorations? They’re too heavy for me.”

Talon sighed. As if he could ever say no to Maya. It was just as bad as with Halea.

Or Aiden.

“I’m on my way.”

And so Talon found himself not only roped into carrying what seemed to be kilometers of fairy lights and glitter garlands and thousands of ornaments, but also into decorating the whole tree.

After him and Aiden spent half an eternity with letting Maya tell them exactly how to place the fairy lights and garlands (half of which Talon found himself on a suspiciously creaking ladder), now it was time for the ornaments.

“Oh, how… interesting.”

Talon examined an ornament that looked like a… he wasn’t even sure what it was supposed to be.

Aiden laughed as Talon put the ugly thing on the tree. In a not so well lit corner, for the sake of everyone.

“Look, this is you.”

Aiden held up an ornament that looked like the grinch, wide grin on his face.

“Ha-ha,” Talon shook his head. “I thought I’m Mr. Scrooge?”

“That’s true. This fits too, though. Can you pass me the transparent one over there? But be careful.”

Talon reached for the Christmas bauble he was asked for. Before he gave it over to Aiden, he looked at it a little closer.

This one looked like a snow globe. And not just any snow globe, one with the miniature of the Christmas tree farm inside and the name of the city on it.

It was beautiful. Talon gasped.

“Nice, isn’t it?” Aiden looked over fondly to Talon holding the ornament. “My father made it.”

Talon’s eyes widened. “This?”

A nod was his answer. “My father was pretty skilled in handiwork. When I was little, he made me play figures out of wood.”

Carefully he took the bauble from Talon to place it on its rightful place on the tree.

“The special thing about this tree is that each family of Woodside has at least one very own little ornament that gets hung up on the Christmas tree every year,” Maya explained as she came to stand behind them, hands resting on Aiden’s shoulder.

Talon tried not to look at it. He was being childish and he knew it, but he couldn’t help it.

“It is a tradition our parents and grandparents already had.”

“That’s nice,” Talon said quietly.

“Yes! And it makes this tree so unique. A symbol of our little town.”

Maya moved so that one of her arms rested over Aiden’s shoulder and the other over Talon’s.

“You did an amazing job, boys, the tree looks amazing.”

She patted both their backs and Talon swore as she moved away she pushed him and Aiden a little closer together.

“You deserve a reward! Coffee and cake on the house!”

She made her way to the kitchen, leaving the two men to stand in front of the Christmas tree.

“She’s right, we did a good job.” Aiden grinned up to Talon. “We are a good team, huh?”

He put an arm around Talon’s shoulder like Maya did earlier but unlike when Maya did it Talon now felt heat rising to his cheeks.

“Let’s sit,” Aiden said. “And since you’re already here, you can help me and Maya to make Christmas cookies later. If you want.”

He winked.

Talon really needed to learn how to say no to the people he liked.

Heyo y'all! So... this is a bit new, if you aren't aware, I'm a major fan of Ace Attorney and love the Wrightworth (Narumitsu, Mitsunaru) ship! In fact, I had brain-rot years ago, but was only a reader at the time. One of my friends, Momo (@axolotlsupremacyowo), is a talented Ace Attorney writer (go check her out!), so when I stumbled across the Narumitsu Day exchange a couple weeks ago, I told her about it.

So... of course, she enabled me to join with her, and here I am now. And because the stars aligned, Momo was the one my fic was for. To top it off, my perpetual vampire brainrot persisted, so here I am now! That's right, I actually wrote a Narumitsu vampire AU. And not just that - I ended up creating yet another world I'll write for again in the future. Guess things go out that way sometimes, huh? No regrets XD

Karen - Golden retriever (dog). Nothing between her ears but air and love. (And very good at retrieving.)

Hikari - Russian blue (housecat). Reserved around strangers, but an energetic and fierce hunter.
