OK BUT THERE IS A SPIDER-GIRL COMIC CREATED IN THE 1990S THAT IS WHERE MAYDAY WAS CREATED AS A NAME And yes, her real name is May Parker.

Does anybody else think that Mayday is a nickname? Like, Peter and MJ named her May and then Peter went “lol you know what would be a funny thing to call her?” and that’s how Mayday happened?

Was ruminating on how Miles and Miguel are technically both 'Spider-man 2' in their respective universes. Got me thinking about the other Spider-successors in the cast, and also what if they all got matching T-shirts or something.

the world isn't as complicated as heroes and villains and I think that will be the take-home lesson of the Spider-verse series. Miguel is brusque and seems uncaring, but May Parker climbs all over him, probably because she senses something good and pure within him. Children are really sensitive to who their good and safe adults are, and she trusts Miguel

and of course we know Miguel is peak Girl Dad

Oh my gosh, that is just so sweet! You know, despite the efforts of one infamous storyline we shall not mention, this plotline was followed through in the MC2 universe where Peter and MJ remained together and had a daughter: May "Mayday" Parker.

Created by comic giants Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz for What If #105 (1998). The character of Mayday attracted so much interest that Marvel eventually gave Mayday her very own solo-series which lasted from 1998-2006, It was eventually relaunched as Amazing Spider-Girl and ran for an aditional 20 issues up until May 2009.

Around 1999, the same time Cassandra Cain exploded onto the scene as the new Batgirl, Mayday and Cass's instant success with readers brought them glowing attention in Wizard Magazine #97 where they even featured on the cover with art by J Scott Campbell!

Just like Cass, Mayday had one one of the longest running female-led solo series but since then has been heavily underused with higher-ups trying to burry from existence, only to fail because of a passionate online fanbase that still thrives to this day. That and since making her big-screen debut as Peter's baby daughter in Across The Spider-Verse, more mainstream audiences have become aware of her existence.

I admit I haven't read her series yet but hearing about her reputation as a fan-favourite character and awesome hero in her own right, I might do it very soon.

No joke, when I first read this scene of Peter & MJ feeling their baby kick for the first time, I literally almost burst out crying! It’s just that FREAKING beautiful!
