Bit of an old one but i felt nostalgic about them

A couple of game of thrones ocs i came up with some years ago.

Lord Jackar "Jack" Maxwell of Widow's Watch, called "The Guard Dog "

and Valentine Flowers, lovingly addressed as "The Emerald of the Reach" of "The nightingale of Red Lake"

Jack is part of a minor house from the north, his house is a branch of the Stark family (Yes i made up a house, bite me), the crest on top is his family crest. His family holds the strongest fleet in the east side of the north, rivaling with the Grayjoys. He is a fearsome captain known to be able to sail through any storm. A man of solid honor, with a good head on his shoulders and a rare smile on his lips. And quite the fighter with his sword " Storm bringer". By the age of 30 and 2 he was the most feared hunter of pirates and raiders in all westeros.

Valentine is instead, a bastard of house Crane of Red Lake, she was born with a lame leg, a clever mind and an impressive imagination and talent for music. She is considered to be one of the most influential bards of her time, by the age of 20 every hall wanted to invite the artist to delight them with plays and songs and melodies, as entertainment for grand occasions.

Timeline wise they should have existed around the time before Robert's Rebellion.

It was a rare Saturday afternoon in the Cordonian palace, where King Liam and Queen Katrina were gathered in a sitting room with their friends, free of appointments and scheduled appearances. Katrina’s feet were perched upon a plush footstool while she rubbed the small swell of her belly, and she grinned when she felt a flutter from one of the twins.

Liam and Maxwell were in the middle of a discussion over what to watch next, while Drake and Alyssa replenished their drinks and assembled a small plate of snacks. Katrina opened Pictagram on her phone and scrolled through the latest posts, tapping on images she liked, when she paused on a comic. “Huh,” she murmured, looking over the image.

“What’s that?” Drake asked, peering over her shoulder before returning to his seat.

“Comic strip about what kind of potato you are, based on your horoscope.” Katrina scoffed at the screen. “I am not a plate of curly fries!”

“What am I?” Maxwell craned his neck, curious to their conversation.

Katrina looked at the screen again. “Potato chips,” she giggled. “Lyssa's sweet potato fries, Liam’s sweet potato mash, and you,” she paused, pointing at Drake, “are a big bowl of mashed potatoes.” Katrina pulled up a web browser and typed away at her screen, quickly reading through the lines of text. “It’s okay, with the new star signs I’m now a Pisces, and I accept my new fate as a bowl of ube ice cream.” She grinned brightly at her friends.

Everyone’s brows furrowed at Katrina. “The what now?” Drake inquired.

“According to the new dates with the thirteenth astrological sign, I’m a Pisces,” she repeated. “You haven’t heard about it? It was a whole thing last year.”

“Wait. What? Why would they need to add a whole new sign to the zodiac?” Maxwell pulled his phone out of his pocket in search of answering his own question.

“It’s always been there,” Katrina replied. “NASA looked into it, and I guess the ancient astrologers omitted…” — she looked down at her phone screen — “off…offy…?”

Drake held his phone in his hands, having pulled up a similar article about the 13th sign, and glared at the name. “This is crap,” Drake added. “There’s no room for it because I can’t even spell it, let alone pronounce it.”

Liam leaned over to look at Maxwell’s screen, peering down at the name in Greek. “Ophiuchus,” he repeated, stressing the last syllable. “Or perhaps off-ee-yoo-kus?”

“That sounds like a weird cross between Ryu’s dragon punch and mucus,” Maxwell chuckled. “Why would they leave out an entire constellation?”

“It’s easier to split up three hundred and sixty degrees into twelve even pieces and match up with calendar months,” Alyssa answered.

Katrina looked down at the article. “With the new signs, Max would be a potato salad Capricorn, Lyssa’s an oven roasted potato Virgo, Drake gets to be twice baked potatoes as a Gemini, and Liam…” Katrina stopped reading and glanced up at her husband, smiling awkwardly as she bared her teeth. “You’re the new sign, and have no potato representation.”

“Pardon?”

Alyssa stifled a laugh as Katrina held out her phone to Liam so he could read the screen. “Looks like your birthday falls in between Scorpio and the new sign, so you could go with either.”

“But neither of those are the sign I’ve grown up as!”

“None of us fall under the signs we’ve grown up with,” Alyssa replied. “I am not a Virgo.”

“I don’t like this new zodiac. I refuse to acknowledge it,” Liam said, shaking his head.

“Li, it’s okay, you can be any kind of potato you want to be this way!” Katrina bit back her smile as she spoke.

“Don’t patronize me, Trina,” Liam quipped. He glanced back at Maxwell’s screen. “Why does Scorpio only get a week to make room for this…this…what is that symbol even supposed to be?”

Alyssa squinted at Katrina’s screen. “A man wrestling with a snake, apparently.”

“Cordonia won’t acknowledge this information, even if the rest of the world decides to. I won’t allow it.”

“Don’t you want to be a modern leader? Someone the people can look up to and admire for taking steps towards becoming an innovative country?” Katrina tucked her lips between her teeth, but the corners of her eyes crinkled as she restrained her amusement.

“No offense, but I’m not interested.” Liam rose from his seat and pulled his phone out from his pants pocket. “I need to speak with the head of our space agency as soon as possible…today, if need be,” he spoke into the phone. “It’s important.”

Half an hour later, Liam paced back an forth in front of one of the large palace windows, running a hand through his dark hair while the other pinned his phone to his ear as he engaged in a heated discussion with the head of the Cordonian space agency, with a look of utter disbelief across his face.

Drake and Maxwell had gone back to scrolling through movie options on the screen, having lost interest in the constellation conversation. They were more interested in debating over whether the group could handle the four hour Snyder version of Justice League.

Alyssa smirked when she turned her head to look at Katrina, who was holding a bowl of the purple tuber ice cream between her hands. “Y’know,” she began, leaning over to nudge her friend’s shoulder, “would’ve been easier to just ask for the ice cream if you had a craving. You didn’t have to make your poor husband’s brain implode.”

Katrina shrugged, pleasant smile on her lips as she withdrew the spoon from her mouth, savoring the cold, creamy dessert as it melted down her throat. She felt another flutter from one of the babies. “I take joy in knowing I've blown your minds about astrological signs solely because I don't wanna be a curly fry. Ooh!” She sat up a bit. “Fries would be great with ice cream!”

The ladies looked over at Liam, who continued to pace in front of the window and spoke rapidly in Cordonian. “Should you tell him now, or after his phone call, that NASA eventually debunked the whole thirteenth sign thing?” Alyssa cast a wary look to Katrina.

Katrina pushed herself up off the sofa. “You call down to the kitchen and ask for extra crispy fries and whatever snacks you and the guys want, I’ll make sure Liam doesn’t fire the poor guy on the other end of his phone call,” she giggled. “I’ll blame it on the babies.”

"This has to be some kind of cruel joke." Maxwell muttered as he stood directly in front of the television. "It can't be true."

Amanda craned her neck to see around him. "Maxwell sit down! I can't see."

"Multiple snowstorms. Who has multiple snowstorms?!" He exclaimed. His head dropped forward in frustration. "Why didn't I go to New York?"

"Because you and Nadia decided to meet here." Amanda explained. She cringed at the glare he sent her way. "Well, you did." She mumbled.

Maxwell turned to look at the snow falling out the window. After hearing about Amanda and Thomas deciding to spend their first Christmas together as a couple in Aspen, he invited himself and Nadia along. There was only one slight problem: Nadia couldn't get a flight out west due to the inclement weather.

Amanda got up and wrapped a comforting arm around him. "It is still a week before Christmas. I'm sure that she will get here in time."

He grimaced. "Maybe." Maxwell changed the channel. "Is Thomas going to be able to make it?"

Amanda looked out the window and chewed on her bottom lip. "I hope so. His flight was supposed to have landed hours ago.”

He put his arm around her shoulders and stared at the lights of the mountain town twinkling in the darkness. "You want to go to dinner or just order in?"

"Order in. I want to be here in case he is able to make it." She checked her phone again. "Still no messages or calls."

"I'm sure everything is fine." He tried to be encouraging yet he could hear the lack of positivity in his own tone.

"Would you like to stay and have dinner with me?" Amanda asked.

"No thanks. I think I will go to my room and wear the carpet out pacing." He squeezed a quick hug out of her. "Thanks for listening."

"Of course. Anytime." She replied.

Nearly midnight...

"I'm coming!" Amanda called out from the bathroom. She tied her robe closed and dried her hair with a towel while walking to the door.

The incessant knocking was making her grumble. "It isn't like you don't have the Weather Channel on television in your room." She unlocked the door and turned the handle.

"You can stop--" Amanda gasped at the kiss she received. "Thomas!"

He smiled as his eyes drifted down to her robe gaping open. "I hope this was meant for me."

She blushed and pulled it shut over her cleavage. "I hadn't planned on anyone seeing me this way." She wrapped her arms around his waist. "I've been so worried you weren't going to make it here." She pressed a lingering kiss to his lips. "You could have called."

"It was touch and go for a while." His lips traveled down her neck. "Even the pilot was uncertain we would be able to land." A low groan escaped when she moved out of his arms. "Where are you going?"

"To help you with your luggage." She let out a laugh when he tossed the bags in and shut the door. His coat and scarf followed while he backed her into the suite.

They tumbled onto the couch, lips locked in a kiss that was heating up with each caress.

Thomas reached between them and untied her robe. Her moan as his cool fingers brushed her skin encouraged his kiss to follow where his fingers led.

Then there was a knock at the door.

Amanda's eyes flew open. She knew that knock.

"Ignore it." Thomas muttered, not hesitating in his chosen path.

Amanda counted to ten and breathed easier. Maybe it had been a mis--

Her phone started vibrating on the table.

"Don't answer." Thomas captured her lips in a voracious kiss.

Her hands slid down pressing him against her.

The knocking was louder this time. And of course, her name was called out.

"Amanda? Are you alright in there?" Maxwell asked.

Thomas closed his eyes while a frustrated sound escaped. "Why is Maxwell coming to your room at midnight?"

"He might have heard news from Nadia." She replied. "With the snowstorms, he has been so worried she won't be able to come here."

"Then he needs to leave a message. Write a letter. Send it through smoke signals. Anything other than coming to your room right now." He growled.

Amanda shook silently with suppressed laughter, when he lifted his head to glare at the door. Maxwell was knocking again.

Thomas looked down at her. "We have two options."

"We do?" She slowly ran her fingers down his stubbled jaw.

He pressed a kiss to her palm. His dark eyes fastened on her hazel. "Our first option is that we play it nice and allow him to come inside. He will either have good news and not stay long or bad news that will end up with hours of moping and speculating on Nadia's chances of arrival."

Amanda's fingers loosened the knot of his tie and then slowly slipped it off. The first few buttons were set free as her lips teased his earlobe. "And our other option?"

Thomas turned his head, capturing her bottom lip between his teeth. "We decide to be naughty."

Her phone vibrated again. She reached blindly for it in the midst of kissing Thomas. She broke away for a second to read the text message and then tossed it in a nearby chair.

"Well?" Thomas muttered against her lips.

"We can be guilt-free in our naughtiness." She pushed his shirt off. "Nadia's flight has landed."

Maxwell Crane

I've done it. Sorry if the ref looks a bit weird, its my first time making one hehehe

so here's Max! (Yes, I am aware he looks a bit like Murphy's scarecrow, that was by accident XD)

I am not sure into what's the canonical Barbara Gordon's age as I am not fully update into the comments, so both are in college.

Ok, so here's a brief lore.

Background:

He's the only son of Jonathan and Elizabeth Crane. He was born when Jonathan assumed his Scarecrow persona, before he became slightly strain from his own family.

His earliest memories were about his friend, a Scarecrow, that used to visit him and take care of him when Dad was out to work and Mom was tired. He used to make several drawings about said Scarecrow.

He used to be very close to his father, as he often called him his "Little Crow" when he was a little kid. His earliest memories of his father were about sitting on his father's lap as he taught him about chemistry.

Eventually, as he got older, he became more strained about his Dad. I am devastating whether he knows his dad is scarecrow or not, but he's aware of the implication to his dad's crimes. He started to hold a grudge about the Scarecrow and decided to become a vigilante in hopes to stop him forever)

Regarding Jonathan and Elizabeth's marriage. They're still married and still love the other. They're slightly strained as Elizabeth obviously disapproves of his actions, but when asked about it, she simply said "He's still the man I fell in love with"

Personality

I do wanna play with him into the whole different personalities with Maxwell. So, well, He's one hell of a socially awkward kid (I mean...it was obvious XD), so he's a bit of a nervous guy wreck when it comes to social gathering and well when it comes to hanging out with Barbara or talking to her.

He does have a backbone (something that Jonathan most likely taught him) so he doesn't let bullies or tormentors to get him. He did enrol himself in martial arts for self-defense and learn how to defend himself in his other life.

As the Crow, he's more serious and more confident. He's not as serious as Batman is, but he's more lenient into showing his real anger (specially when it comes to the Scarecrow.) His mother does suspect he's "The Crow" but it's a minor assumption

Misc

He doesn't fully hate his dad, but he's conflicted about it. He still talks to him and visits him.

Part of him still likes scarecrows, but he tries to ignore it as he thinks of the Scarecrow.

I do think Jonathan would be devastated and conflicted if he knew he was fighting and trying to kill his own son. Maybe it is his own personal fear.

I am not sure if he has a immunity to fear toxin, but he wears a mask to protect himself as the Crow.
