i’m in the process of writing two other series fics but i just NEEDED to provide for the max caufield girlies struggling to find good fanfics 😔😔

(i kid you not i wrote a good three paragraphs and it didn’t save so i had to rewrite it all. i almost quit writing this.)

warnings: it’s lowkey implied smut but it’s honestly nothing more than some sensual kissing! (if you want an nsfw version lmk 🤭)

You’re casually scrolling through your phone, sitting on your girlfriends bed, when she bursts into the room, frustration written all over her face. You take note of this and immediately drop your phone, not even bothering to shut it off, surrendering all of your attention towards her.

You scoot to the edge of the bed and hesitantly starts to speak, “Hey Max… what’s up? How was your day?”

“It- I just- It was so- And THEY were so- I can’t even explain what happened or put it into words. If you were there- argh! Just thinking about it-” She groans while pacing back and forth, her hands speaking with her.

You watch her silently, allowing her get all of her frustrations out. At first, you thought her venting was effective, but the more you watch her remember her miserable day, the more the results of it showed.

“Hey- Hey Max! Come here,” You reached out and grabbed her hand, pulling her in between your legs, “I hear you, baby, it’s been an awful day. But it seems like talking about it is only making you more frustrated. Thinking about it, too, in your words.”

Her eyes shift back and forth between yours. You scoot back on the bed to give her room. She takes a deep breath, then positions herself over you, sinking down onto your lap.

Instinctively you both hold each other. You wrap your arms around her back, hugging her close. Her hands go to your neck, her thumbs softly stroking your cheeks.

There’s a stillness between you. It’s not lust, it’s not nerves.

It’s warmth. It’s comfort.

Your embrace on each other is calming and soothing. You look up at her, pulling her close enough to rest your chin on her chest and look up at her. You smile at the sight of the woman you fell in love with, taking in and savoring this moment like it’s your last.

You take a deep breath, interrupting the silence between you, and start to speak in a soft but audible voice, “let me take your mind off of this. I understand how stressful it can get, so let me distract you. I want to replace those awful memories from today. Can I do that for you?”

Max softly smiles at your care, replying with a simple nod. You smile back, pulling her in for a kiss. Your smile doesn’t go away when your lips collide. Your hands slither onto her hips while her hands remain where they are. Your attempt to pull her impossibly closer earned you a soft hum against your lips.

The kiss was gentle. It was so passionate but innocent. So urgent but soft. You tilt your head to deepen the kiss, gently rubbing up to her waist and down to her thighs. The gesture earns you a soft gasp and you use it slip your tongue into her mouth, still kissing her slowly.

As your kisses deepen, Max starts to loosen up, letting herself softly hum and moan into your lips. You feel heat rush through your body at every small vibration you feel against your lips. You hook your hands underneath her thighs, gently squeezing them. She hums and giggles at your squeezing, bringing a smile to your lips.

Not breaking the kiss, you turn her body then lay her down, softly placing her back against the mattress beneath you. You separate from her lips, pulling a groan out of her which quickly turns into a soft hum when she feels your lips attach to her neck. You start to sneak your hand under her shirt, softly grazing her bare skin. Before you continue, you look at her for consent and reassurance.

She giggles at your gentleness, “We’ve been together for a while, you don’t have to ask me.”

“I know, I know. But I do it because I want you to feel safe and know that I will never do anything you don’t wanna do. I don’t even wanna risk that mistake happening,” You say, looking at her with a puppy-like intensity.

She smiles at your kindness and you go back to kissing her neck, slowly making your way down. You pull Max’s shirt up, giving yourself better access to her stomach. You slowly kiss down her body, not daring to go any further than her stomach.

She moves her hands to your head, one on each side. She grabs your face, making you look up at her. You briefly look back and forth between her eyes and go back down to kissing her all over, maintaining eye contact. She puts one hand in your hair, tugging at it slightly. You kiss up her body, moving your hands to her jeans and swiftly sliding them off her body, kissing down as you do so.

As your kisses pepper back down her body you slide your hands under her thighs, gripping them and pulling them apart. You position your head in between her legs, starting to kiss from her left knee down to her inner thigh. Her back slightly arches at the faint touch of your lips barely grazing her skin, her gasps and hums only increasing.

You switch to her other thigh and start to kiss closer and closer to her heat, getting ready to pull the damp cloth to the side. Before you could move it aside, your work alarm goes off.

“Ah, fuck. I forgot,” you groan, “I knew I shouldn’t have covered Warren’s shift tonight.”

“Hey don’t say that. It’s okay. I feel a lot better,” She reassures you, thumb softly stroking your cheek.

“Are you sure? I could figure out a way to-“

“It’s okay. Seriously. You go get ready, alright?” She interrupts.

“Fine. I’ll see you after, okay? I love you,” You lean towards her and give her a quick peck.

“I love you.”

Y/N’s pov:

I have liked Max since a very long time now. When we first met, I already felt strange somehow. I immediately knew a few days after, that I started to grow a crush on her.

But I’ve never told her about my feelings, I’m too much of a coward to be honest. I’m scared she won’t feel the same and I’ll make a fool out of myself, even though she has been acting suspicious sometimes, but maybe I’m just thinking crazy.

I think I also made myself too obvious about my love for Max. Everyone basically teases me every time we have a little interaction, telling me I should confess already.

And here we are. We both decided we should hang out together, so we’re currently going for a walk to the park. Just talking about random things coming to mind, searching for somewhere to sit. And that’s when we found the perfect spot.

“Oh man, did you ever realized how stunning Kate is?”, I said, making Max turn her head to me. “Uhm, yeah… she’s really pretty.”, she answered, in a rather nervous tone.

“Yeah and I mean she so smart too, like that’s such a great combo, that not everyone has.”, I continued on rambling about her, not shutting up.

This was all a small test. I wanted to see Max’s reaction to it, to find out if she gets jealous or something and now look at her, it’s too damn cute.

Even though I didn’t tell lies about Kate, I would never talk about another person like that in front of my crush.

And believe me when I say, that I felt so bad. It’s kinda ridiculous that I can’t bring my ass do tell her about my feelings, and do this instead.

“I’m not even joking like, holy shit. I could stare at her forever and just admire her beautiful featu-“, I couldn’t even finish my sentence when a pair of lips smashed against mine.

My eyes widened for a few seconds, before I eventually melted into the kiss. She threw her arms around my neck, while I cupped her face with my hands.

Her lips are really soft and moved perfectly together with mine. It’s like they’re meant for each other. Just like how Max is meant to be with me…

“I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have kissed you like this!”, she suddenly pulled away, worrying way to much about it.

“Hey, hey, hey. It’s okay.”, I calmly said, taking her hands in mine. “I should be the one to say this…”, I trailed off, making a confused expression spread over Max’s face.

“I kind of tested you… by basically swooning about another girl. I wanted to see if you would show any signs of jealousy or something, in a chance of getting you to tell me you like me.”

Her eyes stared at me for a while, afterwards letting out a cute laugh.

“What’s so funny?”, I asked perplexed, a huge smile starting to form. “You, Y/N.”, “I don’t get it! Wasn’t I obvious enough, I like you a lot!”

“Not obvious enough for me!”, I answered, pushing her back playfully, by her shoulder. “Oh man, Y/N. We could’ve have been together for a while now, if we would’ve confessed already!”

I nodded my head, the smile still not disappearing. “Let’s just tell everybody about it. They’ll be so happy when they hear about the news, they always knew we liked each other!”

“Yes! They would always make stupid comments about us whenever we were together, but I never told them that I liked you, cause I was scared they would tell you before me!”, she chuckled, as my eyes didn’t look away from her once.

Her smile is seriously one of the best things about her. I love seeing her happy and I hope that I will be the one to keep her like this.

“What’s wrong? Do I have something on my face?”

“W-what? No! It’s just… I like your smile.”, I said, feeling my cheeks heating up. That’s the first time she caught me staring at her.

“Thank you, Y/N. I like yours too.”, she mumbled shyly, her eyes looking straight into mine. I didn’t think too much about it, I just leaned closer to her, going in for another kiss.

♡ Usually wakes up on her stomach but falls asleep on her back.

ツIt's literally a nightmare to sleep beside her, she snores, turns and tosses the whole night and talks in her sleep.

♡ Listens to music while she falls asleep, headphones in or playing on her radio alarm clock.

ツSurprisingly, not a blanket stealer, she literally kicks any sort of warmth off of her at night because she moves around so much.

♡ Nightmares, in Before The Storm and Life Is Strange, they're just not as vivid and real as they were before. She wakes up and checks if you're still there, it's comforting for her to see you asleep.

 🦋 Life Is Strange: Mental Health Headcanons

 🦋 warnings: heavy topics, mentions of psychical and verbal abuse, mentions of mental illness, kate's suicide attempt, a gif of warren beating the shit out of nathan which is funny to me, mentions of my literal enemy mark jefferson

 🎧 A/N: I was feeling a little silly, goofy even. This idea popped into my head as I was writing some relationship headcanons but I decided to write this instead, the relationship headcanons will be out later today though probably or tomorrow. ツ (this took like 9 hours)

 🦋 Chloe Price:

  💾 An attachment to Rachel who turned out to be just really only leading her on and giving her false hope, a dead father who she keeps seeing in her brutal nightmares, an abusive stepfather who we see hit her after a certain choice and has probably hit her before on several occasions, a mother who rarely takes her side and a best friend that's dipped only to come back and not tell her.

   📼Her emotions can change in a split second from 0% to 100% almost immediately, she's seen smoking which she probably uses to drift away from reality and ease the way she feels.

  📝I think that from research and playing the game that Chloe has Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), from her trust and abandonment issues, being unable to take control of her emotions and the meltdown she had in Chaos Theory.

  🍂Kate Marsh:

 💾 Kate is so deeply traumatized by what Nathan did to her, drugging her and promising that he'll take her to a hospital (he lied to her, he's an asshole). Only for Victoria to spread a video of her kissing complete strangers for the whole school, town and her extremely religious family to see.

  📼Her room is unclean and messy, things are spread across the floor including books and clothes, when she's at her desk she looks noticeably tired with red, puffy eyes from crying. Inside her room, it's dark and her mirror is covered up (afraid to look at herself, i think she's beautiful by the way.) When she's on the roof threatening to jump, she's correct that we don't know her mother but she apparently thinks that Kate is already on her way to hell.

 📝I think from how her behaviour is in the game that she has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & Depression.

 💾 She's gone through hell and back, watching her best friend get shot and finding out that she has literal powers that can rewind time. Then having to rewind and save Kate's life, rewinding to stop Victoria from going to Mark Jefferson and ending up in the dark room, saving Chloe from getting killed by a train and shot by Mark, finding Rachel's dead body and ending up in the dark room herself.

  📼Max seems to be pretty socially awkward and just focuses on photography entirely, she probably struggles making friends and communicating with others.

  📝I think that Max has Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), from her tending to avoid certain social decisions and her problems communicating with other people. Also, she could possibly have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after the Life Is Strange events take place, from her time in the dark room and constantly having to rewind and save Chloe's life.

 🎭Rachel Amber:

 💾 Rachel sort of has to have everyone's eyes on her, you know? The popular girl that everyone knows, especially after she goes missing. Finding out that her dad's cheating on her mom, who turns out to actually not be her biological mother, that shit would fuck with anyone's head.

  📼She's described as a huge flirt from the way she acts with Frank and Chloe but she's leading them both on at the same time, putting a huge strain on both of their relationships. Chloe's convinced that Frank is a huge creep (a little) especially since he has her bracelet but Chloe refuses to believe that Rachel would have did that to her. (going behind her back, lying to her.)

 📝Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD), it seems to describe her and her behaviour pretty well. Her emotions, her powers , how she started a whole fucking wildfire and her very unhealthy behaviour.

 🎬 Victoria Chase:

 💾 The Queen Bee! It's obvious that she was born into a wealthy family due to her expensive jewellery, clothes and very expensive camera equipment. (I see why Nathan and Victoria get along, they're both rich people who slightly get on my nerves.)

  📼From what she said to Max, it's obvious that she's jealous of her and probably afraid she'll take the spotlight or her place probably. She wants to be liked, the center of attention and if she isn't then she'll have a fucking fit. (I'm gonna have a BF, a bitch fit!) It's also obvious that she's very close with Nathan and aware of his unstable behaviour, their relationship can be seen as romantic or just friends. (i don't ship them, more like brother & sister.)

 📝It says on her profile that she could possibly have Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD), seductive behaviour, self-centeredness and constantly seeking reassurance or approval.

 🎮 Warren Graham:

 💾 It's my favourite dork! He's literally 16 and in a school specifically for seniors, smart much? It's said that he probably advanced a couple grades on his profile due to him being pretty smart.

 📼He's seen a few times fidgeting around, he's literally unable to stay still apart from when he's getting his picture taken. He acts without thinking like how he beat Nathan Prescott's ass (twice) and I get the vibe he'd also struggle focusing on certain tasks.

 📝I couldn't find anything on Warren but personally i think he has Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) from what I said earlier, he's unable to stay still, acts without thinking and struggles focusing on certain tasks. (like loving me back)

 🧨 Nathan Prescott:

 💾 He's a horrible person and I don't defend this man but I do feel bad for him, physically and verbally abused by his own father, used by Mark Jefferson all because he's rich and easy to manipulate. He went down all the dark paths in the world for a fucked up dickhead (i literally despise mark jefferson, i will beat his ass.)

 📼It's obvious he's mentally unstable and everyone around him knows, they just don't care except for his therapist. It's heavily implied that he suffers from paranoia, anxiety and psychosis. From his scary ass drawings and a letter from his therapist directed towards his father detailing how Nathan is `disconnected from reality`.

📝Nathan is confirmed to have Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia from the medicine (Risperidone, from his profile) that he takes which is used to treat both of those things. And possibly, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which could have been brought on by the abuse he endures from his father. (i'll beat his ass as well.)
