Since orange is not as aggressive as red, it can actually stimulate brain activity. It is very useful to catch someone's attention, which is why it's used a lot to advertise food and toys.

Pink. The colour pink symbolizes love, kindness, femininity, innocence, and playfulness. Certain shades of pink can limit aggression. Pink may be associated with unconditional love and caring.

Purple. Often associated with royalty, the colour purple symbolizes bravery, spirituality, and luxury. Light purple usually brings up romantic or nostalgic feelings; while a darker shade can make you feel gloomy or sad.

Red. The colour red symbolizes some of the most powerful human emotions, like passionate love or lust. On the other side of the spectrum, this warm colour is also the colour of blood, often symbolizing anger, danger, and violence. It stimulates the appetite. Red is an emotionally intense colour associated with energy, danger, anger, passion and determination. The symbolic meaning associated with the colour red is passion, excitement, and love. It’s the colour of urgency, power, and desire. Red is said to boost hunger and is believed to inspire confidence and excitement. This colour has also been found to increase blood pressure and heart rate.

White. This primary colour traditionally symbolizes innocence, peace, and cleanliness. In Western cultures, the colour white also represents purity and virginity, while it symbolizes mourning in some East Asian cultures. Usually has positive connotations when used and thought of as safe. Associated a lot with healing, simplicity and sterility, which is why it's used in hospitals and healing centers as much as it is. The symbolic meaning of the colour white is truth and sometimes even indifference. It encourages feelings of safety and cleanliness. Clean, white clothes and linens show sterility since stains are easily visible. That’s why doctors and nurses frequently wear white lab coats and scrubs.

Yellow. Writers may use the colour yellow to symbolize creativity, happiness, optimism, and warmth—think of a yellow ray of sunlight poking out from a dark cloud. A common negative connotation of the color yellow is cowardice, popularized by the phrase “yellow-bellied.” Warming effect which stimulates body and mind. Gold is associated with the highest of luxury. When bright yellow is used with black it's one of the easiest colour combinations to see from long distances; when uses with lighter colours it's not so easy to see. Yellow ribbons are worn as a symbol of hope and used quite often to welcome home loved ones. Yellow is the colour of warmth, kindness, and happiness. It’s often associated with optimism and well-being and promotes energy.

Brown. This warm, earthy brown colour may symbolize dependability, comfort, and a sense of being grounded. Brown is also a neutral colour, and writers may use it to represent dullness and predictability. Brown is a colour that is related to very grounded traits such as simplicity, practicality, common sense and hard work. Can also be associated with those that are frugal and not too flashy.

Gray. Lighter grays are often thought of as more feminine while darker grays more masculine. Gray is considered by many to be a neutral colour; the perfect balance between light and dark / good and evil. Pop up the lighter grays and add a little shine to it, and thought immediately turns to silver, which correlates to wealth.

I just finished the first season of Teen Wolf

(and it actually feels so satisfying to purposefully only watch 1 or 2 episodes in a day and actually process them and think about them rather than bingewatching a whole fucking season a day - which is something I have done with other shows)

And I have so many things to say omg

The music fucking SLAPS - this show is a perfectly beautiful capsule of the 2010s with its fashion and its other aesthetics (like Allison's bedroom) - but the music is one of the best parts. The fact that Scott and Derek's first fight is set to Destroya by MCR filled me with intense joy, and there is so many songs on the soundtrack that I am rediscovering a love for that I had forgotten about (like 'Just A Little Bit' by Kids of 88 - which I used to listen to all the fucking time in high school)

Speaking of Allison's room - it's such a small detail, but I love the fact that when she first moved in, they had 3 random paint swatches sampled on one of the walls, as though those were the colours she was considering and picking from (and they were the most Bella teenage girl colours of - taupe grey, warm beige, and very very soft mauve pink)

I love all the characters so fucking much - they are all so much fun to watch (except I can't help but to find Scott exceedingly boring for being the main character. But the rest of the cast definitely makes up for it)

Also, I am obsessed with the fact that this show has every single stereotype ever (and it works to the show's benefit): Asshole Jock (Jackson), The Ultimate Mary Sue OC Girl Who Doesn't Understand How Special She Is (complete with special girl amulet) (Allison, obvi), Dorky Nerd Guy (Stiles), Drunk Cop Who Is Constantly Breaking Protocol (Stiles's Dad), Asshole Coach, Popular Pretty Girl Who (seemingly) Only Cares About Fashion, Boys, And Social Status (Lydia)

And speaking of Lydia - someone please ask me about my Autistic Lydia headcanon. I have been ranting to Star about this nonstop and it just works too well. She is the poster child for Masking. If someone asks you what Masking is, show them any clip of Lydia ever

Basically - the show reminds me of a time when shows didn't have to be so serious. Especially because it was before streaming platforms, so they didn't expect shows to be a massively bingewatched hit in one weekend, and they could massively play around with tone and it made watching shows just so much more fun. I love it

3 - 44 Murder in the Cellar

Tired and bored of running, the Oxymorons fumble downstairs into the cellar, where the holy bar lurks. They collapse and roll down like Slinkies, and are let in by little bird Cinereous.

CINEREOUS: Damn, you lookin’ fresh outta Hell. Come, ‘ave a drink.

They sit down at a table, ironically looking hungover before they even begin. 

IRRATINO: You know… I have to know, why does the church have a bar underneath it? VERDIGRIS: It is all holy wine. Obviously. Some are blessed and some are cursed. Take a gamble.

Logico shrugs and grabs a bottle. Irratino decides to feel the auras first. 

VERDIGRIS: The owner of this bar is… [looks around] dead. 

Logico chugs a lot of ‘holy’ wine. 

LOGICO: Fine, let’s get this over with.

Tiny Taupe is panicking, because it got itself stuck in a barrel. It’s acting like it can’t see, but… how does it see in the first place? Irratino approaches it and is nearly knocked out.

IRRATINO: Hey, hey… [stabilizes] It’s okay… we’ll get you out. 

Logico sighs, as he knows that this means Irratino is going to be no help during this episode. 

CINEREOUS: Damn, I gotta take a shit.

At least he’s polite enough to do so in a bathroom. He flits up to the door and pulls on the handle with his beak, but can’t do anything. He frantically looks up and down. 

CINEREOUS: Uhh, guys? I dunno how’ta get out! VERDIGRIS: It’s because you’re the smallest person alive. Here.

She pushes on the door, but it doesn’t open. 

VERDIGRIS: Never mind. It’s locked from the outside. IRRATINO: WHY??

Logico and the suspects exchange a look, and they all pound on the door, crying for help. Upstairs, however, the churchgoers are performing another hymn.

MANGO/LAPIS/BROWNSTONE: NEVER GONNA GI- CINEREOUS: Come on!! None of ‘em heard us?? [sits on the ground] Pooey. LOGICO: Well, considering we’re trapped, I might as well take statements. CINEREOUS: Ahhh. As God might’a said, Miss Void-e-gree’s got a pian’a key. VERDIGRIS: I think you’re wrong, and lying about God. 

She suddenly very violently takes him in her grasp. 

CINEREOUS: Eh- eh- c-calm down, woman!

Verdigris opens her mouth to reveal unbeknownst sharp teeth, and puts him halfway down her throat! Logico hates the bird, but this is a bit much. He punches her in the stomach and Cinereous manages to escape, horrified.

VERDIGRIS: …You abuse a godly woman??

She drops to all fours and lets out a catlike yowl, bounding after Logico who has to run as fast as he can! 

Taupe still hasn’t managed to get out of the barrel, and is panicking more hearing everyone fight. 

IRRATINO: Wait! Hold still! I’ve almost got-

Taupe charges for them, and they manage to lunge out of the way. He crashes into the door, shattering the barrel and pushing it over! Cinereous immediately forgets his near-death experience.

CINEREOUS: WE’RE FREED! 

He quickly flies up and far away - no wine is worth getting his head bitten off for.

LOGICO: WAIT A MINUTE!

Logico tramples up the stairs to chase after him. He falls, but Irratino catches him and is faster, and soon, they grab the little prick.

CINEREOUS: ‘EY EY EY! I’m flyin’ ‘ere! LOGICO: You’re also the murderer of the day! CINEREOUS: Look, guy, no ‘yuman’s supposed to get down in our bar, evah! I tried’ta knock ‘im out, but the piano key hit me too, and I got a concussion! I can’t think or pray straight! I don’t even remember what in vino veritas means!

Irratino claps in realization

IRRATINO: Of course! In vino veritas! The truth is in the wine! That’s why there’s a bar under the church! LOGICO: …That’s the big thing we’re taking away here?

They glance up, and see something horrible - Father Mango is discussing with Olive! 

OLIVE: Seen any detective duos around this place… MANGO: They were here, but they left…

Logico and Irratino sigh in relief, but they need to get out fast.

The end! 

Remember when Verdigris went savage in the woods and Logico thought it was part of the Drakonian conspiracy
