Matthias:

He was raised and trained as the thief class! His specialties were daggers and, when necessary, a shortbow! When he left the bandit life behind he eventually ended up in the Seraph and trained as a warrior to further distance himself from his past. His skills translated efficiently to dual swords and a longbow, but he can still move even faster with a well balanced dagger in his grip if he's pushed to.

Charlie:

She was (and mostly still is) a thief as well! With a twist though, she found and stole a noble's smuggled exotic pet smokescale one night! Now her options were: find a way to hand this over to the authorities without also getting arrested given her many many many crimes, or incorporate this animal into her life and just hope she's taking better care of it than the noble who used it as a status symbol. Turns out being able to phase through walls and vanish into a cloud of smoke and shadows is pretty handy as a thief, she's got her soulbeast skills!

Roi:

She was a standard warrior who specialized in the spearmarshal spec for most of her life. After some Life Events and Bad Choices though she became so intertwined with the Mists that her skills really couldn't ever be the same again. She's functionally a vindicator now, though the specifics are different and she doesn't wield a legend. Just the many many facets of herself from what could have been.

Dian:

Funny how your warband being at ground zero for the foefire explosion can affect you in some drastic ways! This once-elementalist found her connection to the elements all but cut off entirely after her warband survived the blast. All that atunement was replaced overwhelmingly with the burning white fire that killed so many. She's managed to twist it to her will though, and now serves as a guardian! Healing with the foefire where it once destroyed everything.

Time for another curious question!

I know ingame it's not a possible thing, but has your character(s) gone through profession changes as their story/lore progresses? Does your character(s) have some aspect of another profession in their old/new core profession?

(For example, I have this Deadeye ingame, but his story has him start off as a Ranger with two loyal pets, and he swapped to being a Deadeye midway his story/lore while still retaining his pets)

Or does your character(s) remain in the same profession throughout their entire story?

"Pero funcionó, nos logramos salvar." Matthias suspiró, y Zoya le siguió. Los dos no pudieron evitar la mirada entre disgusto y sorpresa.

"Nazyalensky..."

"Helvar..."

Su odio, durante esos años, no había desaparecido. Aunque sí que se había reducido; ya no querían matarse por él ser drüskelle y ella una grisha, sino solo por ser ellos mismos. Sería extraño que el fjerdano, después de casarse con una grisha tan poderosa como Nina y haber tenido con ella una hija tan rubia como él, siguiera odiando a aquellos que los de Fjerda llamaban drüsje. A veces, con Zoya Nazyalensky, se veía tentado; pero solo eso.

"Hemos logrado una gran racha de reuniones sin que os lancéis a la garganta del otro, sigamos así." Comentó Nina, tratando de volver la conversación a terrenos menos pantanosos agarrando la taza de té en sus manos con cuidado. "La Isla Errante está muy bien."

"La gente es demasiado feliz."

"¿Matthias molesto?" Preguntó Zoya, con una clara sonrisa en su rostro. "Hasta yo me mudaría ahí solo para fastidiarlo más."

"¿Qué tal como Sturmhond y Zyoma?" Preguntó Genya, tratando de ayudar a Nina en su intento de que ese año no los tuvieran que separar.

"Eso..." Comentó Matthias con un tono de voz demasiado extraño para él. "¿Cómo es la vida de piratas?"

"Corsarios." Dijeron Zoya y Nikolai a la vez, sin poder evitar dirigir una mirada de cansancio hacia él.

"¿Cuál es la diferencia?'

"Tenemos licencia."

"Nuestra licencia." Añadieron Alina y Mal a la vez, sonriendo mientras se miraban.

"Como tenga que volver a ver a estos dos dándose arrumacos... los lanzo por el aire." Genya rodó sus ojos, en una copia demasiado teatralizada de las acciones de la ojiazul. "¿Qué?"

"Ellos solo tienen un hijo, Dubrov. Mientras que vosotros tenéis a los gemelos; Dominik e Isaak, a Liliyana y, además, estáis esperando otro." Zoya rozó con su mano su vientre, y Nikolai fijó su vista en este con una sonrisa. "No sé quienes se estarán dando más arrumacos."

"¡Genya!" Dijo Zoya, mirándola fijamente.

"Solo digo hechos."

"Claramente nosotros." Todos giraron sus cabezas hacia Nina, que había dejado su taza sobre la mesa. "Aunque solo tengamos a Roëd..."

"¡Nina!" Ahora Matthias era el que posaba la vista sobre alguien; en la mortificadora.

"Solo digo hechos." Le respondió esta, con una sonrisa que el fjerdano evitó con su mirada.

"¿Cómo es la vida como reyes?" Preguntó Helvar a Alina y Mal, claramente quería hablar de cualquier cosa con tal de que Nina no siguiera abriendo la boca.

Y ellos le iban a responder, pero el aleteo de un cuervo los distrajo. El pájaro se posó con suavidad sobre la mesa que estaba a la derecha de Zoya, y esta observó como en su pata tenía atada una nota.

"¿Qué?" Alargó su mano con cuidado, quitándole el trozo de papel al animal para abrirlo y comenzar a leerlo en voz alta. " 'Wylan y Jesper están muy felices con la cabra. Inej sigue cazando esclavistas en su propio barco, y ahora acepta las recompensas. ¿Yo?, yo ahora no estaré tan solo. Ketterdam no es solo una ciudad, sino un montón de gente. Vigilad a vuestros pequeñajos cuando vayan a jugar. Mi venganza ha comenzado Zoya Nazyalensky, ahora educaré a tus hijos, y ya que estoy a los de los demás, para que sean los mejores criminales. Made some of the latest couples meme for my and @ascalonianpicnic‘s (Mar and Aildyn) GW2 kiddos! Two very slow burn couples, we seem to be getting more and more of those recently lol

Matthias was very much on the "good riddance" train all the way. They'd only continue to fuck things up.

Ruan was upset, the gods have often fought without cause or concern for the mortal world, why are they suddenly being conscious of it while dooming everyone to a potential apocalypse? The gods abandoned everyone when they were most needed to handle one of their own. They still sometimes have to talk it out late at night, reassure themself that...everything in the desert wasn't actually a punishment for humans. It didn't go through that torture and entrapment because the gods willed it...right?

Joel had mixed feelings, it didn't grow up religious at all and partially this was in defiance of some orphanages and families that tried to "set it on the right path" through committing to one of the gods. It's by sheer force of habit very flippant about the gods. But also, the gods left everyone, not just Joel. They left all of their followers with little more than a "good luck" and from balthazar a "get fucked". It doesn't think anyone deserved that response after following the gods so devotedly for generations.
