I received an advanced reader copy of Last Couple Standing from Ballantine Books, Random House Publishing Group via NetGalley, in return for my honest opinion. Last Couple Standing by Matthew Norman is a story about the accepting contentment. Mitch and Jessica are college sweethearts. They’ve been friends with three other married couples since college- they refer to their group as the Core Four. Once the three other couples divorce, Mitch and Jessica start examining their own relationship. Trying to prevent the problems that caused their friends divorces, they come up with a plan to save their marriage. Will this plan bring Mitch and Jessica closer or will this marriage end too? I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. There were some hilarious moments, the author was spot on with some of his parenting and marriage observations. Last Couple Standing is available now.
