💥 💥 Matt Bellamy registrerà il nuovo album dei Muse con una chitarra che un tempo fu di Jeff Buckley. In particolare, quella che il compianto cantautore statunitense utilizzò per registrare il suo primo album, "Grace", l'unico pubblicato quando Buckley era ancora in vita (nel 1998, un anno dopo la sua tragica morte, uscì "Sketches for my sweetheart the drunk", rimasto incompiuto, e nel 2016 "You and I", contenente pezzi registrati nel '93). Si tratta di una Fender Telecaster blonde, con la quale Jeff Buckley si accompagnò anche durante la registrazione della sua cover di "Hallelujah". Il frontman della band di "Time is running out" ha raccontato in un'intervista concessa alla rivista statunitense "Guitar World", punto di riferimento per gli appassionati delle sei corde, di aver recentemente acquistato lo strumento e di essere rimasto affascinato dal suono: "Mi sono affidato a un'intera squadra di persone per assicurarmi che fosse quella originale, anche chiedendo informazioni alla sua famiglia. Una volta verificata questa cosa, l'ho presa. Suona in maniera davvero strana, non come una classica Telecaster. Ho analizzato tutti i componenti - che non sono stati sostituiti - ma credo che il pick-up presenti un difetto di fabbrica, perché è leggermente sfasato". Parlando nello specifico del sound dello strumento, il frontman dei Muse ha aggiunto: "Ha un suono estremamente brillante: non suona affatto come qualsiasi altra chitarra che io abbia mai utilizzato prima". Bellamy ha poi raccontato un aneddoto da lui scoperto: la chitarra apparteneva originariamente alla migliore amica di Jeff Buckley, Janine Nichols, insieme alla quale visse per un certo periodo a New York. Thank you so much for linking me! I saw this one before but for some reason when they actually come on the sound is muted. I can hear the music for the first few minutes but then it cuts out when the interview starts. Does anyone have this problem too?
