BOYDEN: I’m giving you the chance to sort yourself out. QUINNAN: Sarge? BOYDEN: Dave, they all think you’ve lost your bottle. I hope that’s not true. And, if it’s not, I want you to come on a drugs raid, tonight. Or you can go home, pour yourself a cup of cocoa and have an early night. But if you do, don’t bother coming in tomorrow. Because all your mates will think you’re a tosser. Show ‘em what you’re made of.

Boyden is a real dick at times, but he can also be a bloody good sergeant.

BROWNLOW: I was rather surprised to hear he’d been assigned to a mobile unit. Couldn’t you find him something a little less demanding? MONROE: You were keen for him to come back on duty. BROWNLOW: Yes, but there are duties and duties. MONROE: And they’re for me to sort out, Sir. BROWNLOW: I am not disputing that, Andrew. MONROE: Aren’t you, Sir? Well, it’s seems to me—with respect—you’re trying to run my team. BROWNLOW: I wouldn’t dream of it. MONROE: I’m glad to hear it, Sir, because I know these PCs far better than you do. …and Andrew’s always a bloody good inspector. I love it when he puts Charles in his place.

(Nice little touch I noticed: Andrew rubs his ear—a common lying tell—just while saying “with respect��.)

Dave’s back from light duties after the stabbing and he’s not coping well.

Susan Majolier’s last episode as Marion. She did a great job of putting some personality into a fairly nothing minor role.

Smithy, Boyden, Tony and Sam doctor a pint for Dave on his stag night - only for it to end up being drunk - or rather downed in one - by their Inspector.

If it's not a trick glass, Colin had some impressive drinking skills (!) It's literally gone in seconds.
