She passed her shoes to me :)
No meio tempo, o jovem violoncelista mais promissor, Matt Haimovitz, pendurou as suas botas.
Entre vestir Doc martens e pendurar as botas, acho preferível vestir as Doc's. Obsessivamente.

"Today is my birthday and the two-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine. Matt Haimovitz and I made a recording of Valentin Silvestrov's "Postludium No. 3" which was just released on PENTATONE to showcase the great Ukrainian composer's poignant and touching work. If you would like to help Matt and I pay for the recording expenses and/or donate to Ukraine Humanitarian Aid directly, please check out https://givebutter.com/silvestrovrecording"

It’s entirely possible that cellist Matt Haimovitz has forgotten that composers other than Bach exist. On his last visit to Classical Classroom, he talked about Anna Magdalena’s (Bach’s second wife’s) transcriptions of Bach’s Cello Suites. On the visit before that, Matt and Christopher O’Riley talked… oh wait – that was about Beethoven. But still! The guy’s obsessed! And we’re glad he is. In this episode, Haimovitz talks about his CD Overtures to Bach, on which he commissioned 6 contemporary composers to essentially build an aural bridge from our time to Bach’s. Learn about Bach and hear amazing new music in this episode.
All music in this episode from Matt Haimovitz’s Overtures to Bach.
Audio production by Todd “Mr. Robot” Hulslander with poorly executed fake hacking sequences by Dacia Clay and assistance from Mark DiClaudio.

i know you are going to say that I sold my soul to satan but
I need to say I became a musician because of Vanessa Mae. My family are simple people, they never knew Classical Music. When I was 8 I watched her with her white Doc's and violin in a brazillian sunday TV show and I started harassing my mother to put me in the musical school every single day after it
Until I get to the Conservatoy where I was taught she was trash
Untill after it I understood we don't have the rightfull stage in this world as Classical interpreters
Untill I understood why prodigy kid Matt Haimovitz quit the concert halls, and why David Garret went wrong becoming a rock star
E a maior viagem que se pode fazer é a de circumnavegação, que tem por objetivo voltar ao meus sítio. Fernando Pessoa de memória, não estou certa se as palavras conferem
Some people simply never get old

Billions and Billions served!
No, not McDonald's! Conceived 30 years ago, more than 1 billion people have viewed these short but interesting talks about subjects of all kinds.  If you have between 5 and 18 minutes to spare, treat yourself to a Ted Talk.  If you have more time than that, treat yourself to a whole day of Ted Talks as the conference comes to Tucson this Saturday at the Edward Berger Performing Arts Center on Broadway.
Knowing it's going to rain this weekend, we’re already bored, right?  If you like music why not learn to play guitar today, learn the drums tomorrow, then relax with a Yoga class on Sunday.  All all free during Bookman’s Wellness Weekend.  Not free was the Duport Stradivarius Cello, which was sold in 2007 for $20 million, but you can afford to hear beautiful cello playing this weekend as Matt Haimovitz presents his Moveable Feast, performing each of the “6 suites for solo cello” by Bach.
The Tucson Jazz Festival continues throughout the weekend with a performance by Storm Large at the Fox Theatre tonight, John Pizzarelli tomorrow and a special Sunday Blues Brunch at Johnny Gibson’s Market downtown.  Also on Sunday celebrate Martin Luther King Day with a 3pm performance at Centennial Hall featuring artists from the UofA School of Theatre, Film and Television.
Does the circus bring back childhood memories?  Feel young again at the Zoppe Family Circus near the Mercado San Agustin, and see all the clowns and animals needed to bring a smile to your face.  Cereal, or bacon and farm fresh eggs?  In the animal department tomorrow at Tucson Botanical Gardens, check out the 10am presentation on how to get started raising backyard chickens with Ashley Peterson. She’ll share her experiences from tending the chickens at Mrs. Porter's Chicken Coop as well as her own personal backyard chickens!  Sounds like fun but I’ll bet puppies are easier to take care of.
If you're a football fan we know you’ll be glued to the big screen watching your favorite NFL playoff teams this weekend.  The severe weather should only affect one game which is the Steelers at The Chiefs.  It may be billed as the ice bowl.
Whatever your plans this weekend, enjoy.  As always please let me know if we can be of any help to you or someone you know.
