Jours 47 et 48

Réveil face aux montagnes au bord du lac. Je me réveille tôt et pars en trail gravir le Matmora pendant que Marion émerge tranquillement. Ascencion difficile mais j'arrive en haut du sommet après 1 h d'effort à presque 800 m mais complètement dans les nuages. J'emprunte ensuite la ligne de crêtes. Le chemin est magnifique et, une fois arrivé en dessous des nuages, j'ai une vue splendide des deux côtés. Marion me récupère de l'autre côté de la montagne après 10 km et 2 h 15 d'effort. Nous prenons alors la route du nord. Là, nous croisons notre premier élan en solitaire en bord de route. C'est vraiment très haut, comme un cheval avec des bois. Puis on remonte tranquillement jusqu'à Andenes. On y découvre la ville relativement vide et sans charme. Ça a des allures de bout du monde et pour cause, c'est le point le plus nord de notre périple. C'est donc la raison pour laquelle on s'offre une bouteille de clos Saint Vincent pour l'apéritif.

Le matin du jour 48, réveil tranquille face à la mer. On rejoint vite la ville d'Andenes. Je passe un entretien en fin de matinée pour un éventuel futur job tandis que Marion fait les boutiques. À 12 h 30, nous avons rendez vous pour nous équiper à Whaletosea car cet après midi, c'est objectif baleines 🐳🐋. Vers 13 h, nous prenons la mer sur un gros zodiac. On prend la direction d'un canyon sous marin accompagné d'un pilote et d'une biologiste marine à environ 15 miles nautiques au nord d'Andenes. Après 1 h à chasser les sons, on tombe sur un cachalot prenant sa respiration. Il replonge sous l'eau et on retrouve peu de temps après un autre cachalot. Nous voyons aussi furtivement des baleines de Minky. Nous prenons alors le chemin du retour au port. Mais, nous tombons sur de nombreux orques en train de se nourrir. Ils sont juste à côté du zodiac, c'est grandiose. Enfin, nous apercevons 2 rorquals communs (2eme plus grosse espèce sur terre après la baleine bleue) grâce à leur souffle très impressionnant. En rentrant au port, nous voyons un aigle des mers, vraiment majestueux. C'était une magnifique sortie en mer et un formidable cadeau d'anniversaire offert par la famille de Marion. Cette activité sera la dernière en Norvège qui restera un vrai pays coup de coeur pour tous les 2. En fin d'après midi, on se pose dans le van pour organiser notre périple en Finlande.

very late small-fic for the galran exchange for @measured-words! i was supposed to do an animatic for you, but i broke my pen and i was supposed to get it like, last week. it still hasn't come in the ups bc mail fucking sucks. 

if you would like me to finish the animatic tell me!!! it’ll be late (super late now) but i owe u it and i really do want to finish it for you. 

but here's a small fic for you! it's about thace and ulaz first going into the blade of marmora! enjoy! 

When Thace had joined the Blade of Matmora, he was young. The openeing held around ten different Galra, all from different backgrounds but there for one cause. The Galra was standing up, waiting for the Trials for the first Galra to start. He was nervous (for sure), but he knew he could win against the Trials.

The Galra behind him was quiet, focused. He seemed nervous as well, but who wasn’t? “Hey?” Thace smiled at the Galra behind him, so seemed to jump then smile. “Hey.”

The Galra was taller than him, with paler purple and a white (weird?) hairstyle. His yellow eyes were tinier than most, but he looked less Galra than most so that made sense. “You nervous?” He asked, relaxing a bit. Thace nodded, before chirping out his name. “My name is Thace, how about you?”

The other chuckled a bit before saying, “Ulaz. You ready for those Trials? I’m a tad nervous mainly because I know more about science then battle.” He looked around, before biting the back of his lip. “But if I heard right, we should be able to unlock the Blade with just our personalities and wills, right?” He rambled, eyes falling down.

Thace's smile softened, agreeing that he had a disadvantaged. If he knew more about science and logic, it would be harder to fight. “I guess so. I really didn’t understand that bit, hah. And you know more about science and stuff? That’s cool! I mean, if you understand that I bet you can use logic and get past the Trials easily.” He tried to calm the other.

“Yeah, I guess. It seems like the first guys been in there for a long time though, which worries me. How long does it take to awaken this Blade? How many people do I need to fight? I mean I know the basics of fighting since in the Empire they taught the scientist that- but I’m still a student. And I can’t use logic the whole time. I’ll have to fight at some point.” He rambled, before a small blush formed on his face.

“Sorry, I ramble when I get anxious.” He sighed, scratching his head.

Thace chuckled and shook his head, replying, “No problem Ulaz. Ramble all you want. It could help you with the anxiety after all.” He chirped, watching the other Galra’s smile come back onto his lips. “Thank’s.” He replied, “Not a lot of people like me rambling so- that’s nice.”

The stopped chatting for a while, where Thace was looking towards the Galra in front of him. Two Blade of Marmora agents soon came out, which made them all stiffen. They stayed quiet for a while before announcing that the first Galra had passed, and now it was time for next in line. The Galra in front of his went through the doors, and then it was no more.

“You’re next.” Ulaz muttered, tapping Thace’s shoulder. Thace nodded, biting his lip and turning towards Ulaz. “Yeah I am. I hope I’m ready.” He chuckled, shaking his head nervously. Ulaz smiled at the other, putting his clawed hand on the other to calm him down. “You’ll do fine Thace. You seem strong, I’m sure you’re great in combat.”

Thace chuckled, blushing a bit at the complainant. “What, you’ve been looking at my muscules?” He smirked, seeing the other fully-blush. “No! The suits are just very skin tight. You can practically see everything.” He grumbled, looking away.

“But you like what you see huh?” Thace chuckled, blushing lightly.

“If it makes you happy, then yes.” Ulaz snapped, the blush growing more vibratment pink. Thace bit his lip, shaking his head before saying gently, “Hey- sorry if that was a bit direct. I’m just tryin’ to- ya know- have fun? I guess? I shoudln’t though, we are about to go into the battle of our lives.” He sighed.

“Nono- you’re fine. You were just trying to be funny.” Ulaz smiled gently, the blush still on his face. “And just for clarification- you do look good.”

Now it was Thace’s turn to blush, eyes wide. “Oh- ha! I knew it.” He laughed a bit, relaxing back down. “You’re cool, you know that Ulaz? I hope we get to work together a bunch when we get past the Trials. Now I have another thing to win this thing for. To see you again!”

Ulaz’s eyes widened at the compliment, before nodding. “Yeah, same here. I’ll use all my wit and still fight my hardest.” He replied, holding out his hand. “To our victory?” He asked, tilting his head.

Thace nodded, taking it and squeezing it gently. “To our victory.”
