alright so as you may or may not know, Jumpstart company is completely dead and probably went bankrupt. while there is a discord for a School of Dragons emulator, i haven't seen anything for Math Blaster or World of Jumpstart, which were both significantly larger parts of my childhood. so please, please, if you have any info on emulators for either of those games, i can't promise i'll be useful but i want to know it's at least happening for peace of mind

Starting in December of 2010, the JumpStart MMO added a spaceship with a countdown for the launch of the Math Blaster MMO, which was set to happen in January of 2011. Upon the launch, the spaceship would allow players to directly access the Math Blaster MMO from within the JumpStart MMO.

ive spent two afternoons simply playing jumpstart and math blaster (the mmo games) to bid em farewell, and ive encountered maybe... 5 people? and of those people, only two seemed to be aware of anything, and of that only one person actually spoke at all. fascinating!

i assume other people are saying their goodbyes to the game so like, where are they??? is jumpstarts remaining playerbase a crowd of morning people??

a late addition, for accuracy's sake:

i made this post on the Monday before World of Jumpstart/Math Blaster/whatever shut down. The week leading up to the game's closure was dead empty, like I described, but on the very last day it was super crowded. Many people traveled from location to location as a crowd, there were conversations reminiscing on fond memories (showcasing a shockingly lax chat filter), it was bittersweet. There was also easy access to the admin/debug commands because it was as simple as "press the `~ key and type in 'opensesame'" which let folks get infinite money, warp to inaccessible and unused maps, and most importantly Become The Frankie Mascot. It was the sort of weird that comes with dying kids MMOs, and I'm glad I got to be there.

When I was like grade-school age my bro and I had this game called ‘Math Blasters’ we used to fight over whose turn it was to play. What else…I had…I think 3-5 in the Harry Potter games during my HP obsession phase, I played those a lot. RuneScape was the first MMO I ever played …

Yeah those are the only ones I can remember.

The first instance of a character from the Math Blaster series crossing over into the JumpStart series was most likely the inclusion of Blaster in a demo of the Ghost Town Grab minigame. This demo was available to play on the JumpStart website in 2008, prior to Ghost Town Grab appearing in the JumpStart MMO.
