oh my god i fucking LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH. I SWEAR. I CANNOT FUCKING EXPRESS. MY LOVE. FOR THIS GAME. Almost a year has passed since my first One Shot Post (doesn't apply to Tumblr, last One Shot post here is more recent) and almost a year has passed since my first playthrough

It wasn't really a blind playthrough, iirc i already knew lots of stuff about the story, ending and even the solstice run itself, too, it was already part of my interests to an extent, but I didn't know or remembered the details, and experiencing it myself still felt like a fully blind Playthrough (gotta again thank my shitty memory too), and was it freaking beautiful,,, plus, i finished it around xmas time, which is like my fave period of the year, so!! I still remember i got a photo of the TV while I was playing, there were gorgeous purple lights, both from LEDs and both from the game, since it was becoming dark outside, with little xmas lights around,, gah this game holds such a special place in my heart, I don't think any other game captured my love as much as this one, SURE, Im a big lover of many MANY games, and this one isn't even the first indie rpg i ever got into (hello Undertale and deltarune), and while those are very special to me as they're some of my first interests, OneShot is just a whole another type of special, a special special if you will

And recently I've seen my friend play it blind for the first time, and as I was (Awesomely) backseating, I got to basically relive it, in a way, and I always get a little phase for it after reseeing content of it, so here I am, drawing one of my personal favorite portions of the game! Sorry for the unusual type of rant I did this time, but I just. Argh. This game, dammit

Also fun fact, so many things about this game, from the 2014 version, to songs, to imagery, to scenes, freak me so much out or make me feel so weird I feel like I need to puke

Tierlist of the Great Sea costumes from Hyrule Warriors.

I plan on doing more for the other costumes from the rest of the Adventure Mode maps.

(Costumes and explanations below the cut. There's a lot to go over, so it'll be long)

They probably couldn't make Warriors' costume based on Toon Link because it would likely be too similar to the Skyloft outfit, so they went with the crayfish pajamas. And I gotta say, I really like it. The blue shirt, white scarf, orange pants and gray boots go really well together.

I don't know why they made Impa wear pink. Maybe they were trying to reference the King of Red Lions? I'm not sure. But I do think it works pretty well for her.

I only just realized that Sheik's costume is colored that way as a reference to Tetra. That makes me like it a bit more. These colors are very striking, but they look good on her in my opinion.

Lana's costume is apparently based off the koroks, which I don't know if it matches up well with her. But the outfit looks really nice. My only complaint is that I don't know if the green hair fits her, so I've deducted points for that. Otherwise, she looks pretty cute and festive.

Of course, they gave Valor the princess dress that Tetra wears for the latter half of the game. The color of the dress is fine, but the dull armor and too bright hair kind of ruin it for me. Also, my partner is PISSED that this costume isn't based on Tetra. I think that would look substantially cooler, even if Sheik's costume would make it redundant.

I don't know who decided to make Ganondorf's costume fuck so goddamn much, but I am so glad they did! Everything about this Phantom Ganon costume is incredible. It kind of gives me Metroid Prime vibes, which is a very good thing.

Darunia's Phantom Hourglass goron costume isn't too big of a change, especially when compared to the masterpiece that was Ganondorf's. I don't really care for the brown spikes, but the stomach tattoo looks pretty cool.

The Laruto costume that Ruto has is very striking, and I think it works very well. Between the color combination and the character reference, I like it quite a bit.

I'm not sure why they decided to make Agitha a goth with this costume, but I think it suits her. Unfortunately, the way her face paint looks kind of lessens my fondness for it. But I definitely don't hate it.

Midna is already my favorite character in this game, so I was probably going to like whatever costume she had. But this Floormaster-inspired look is incredible! The changes are pretty slight, but the pink markings and the darker color of the Fused Shadow adds so much to what was already peak character design. In fact, she probably could have been on the top of S Tier if they'd leaned a bit more into it.

I don't know if Zant's costume is based on Gohdan or Jabun. Neither of those options really fit him, in fact they're kind of the opposite, and it may seem a bit weird to give him such bright colors. However, I actually like how he looks in this costume, even if it does look a bit more regal than he deserves.

Given that Fi's design was partially based on the Fairy Queen, this costume was only natural. And I'd describe it in the same way. This coloration is perfect for Fi, and the purple ribbon-markings down her legs are a nice touch.

Kalle Demos is one of my favorite Zelda bosses from a strictly aesthetic view. So it only makes sense that they were the base for one as, shall we say, colorful as Ghirahim. I love the gradients on his suit and cape, and I only recently noticed the green gem on his belt.

Like with Agitha, I don't really get the reference in Cia's costume. But I will not deny that she looks really good in that dark red, especially with the sunset colors of her shoulder cape. I do think that her hatless outfit is the best looking of the three, though.

Volga's costume is another with a subtle change. But like Midna's, I think that this one looks really good. The colors look good, and the reference to Valoo is quite fitting.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Wizzro. I think his costume is based off of Jalhalla, which could have worked. But I really don't like the brown.

I'm already conflicted about how I feel about the design of Midna's true form, or 'Twili Midna' as she's called in Hyrule Warriors (I don't get why), and this costume only adds to it. I don't know what the reference was here. And while I don't hate the color combination they used, I don't think it works with her. It's really a shame.

Also, why did they change the color of her skin here?

I have a lot of questions about Young Link's costume. What is the costume supposed to be? Why is he purple? Why does he have red hair? I don't hate this costume, but it doesn't make much sense to me.

This may be surprising, but I actually kind of like how Tingle looks in this costume. The gray and blue work well together, and I like the reference to Ankel or Knuckel. It's good.

Given what costume they gave to Warriors, I think it makes sense that Linkle's is based off of Aryll's dress. Not only do the colors work, but I like the little flower designs on the tunic. It's adorable.

Oh, Hell yes! I love Skull kid's costume. Not only do the white and purple go well together, but they look perfect when put with the colorful Majora's mask. I think it's also based on the poes, which also works. I can't think of anything I would improve with this one.

Another Link, another set of crayfish pajamas. I don't know why he has a belt, but it doesn't take too much away from the appeal. It's just a solid design. Although, if they did this one twice, then maybe they could have made Valor's costume look more like Tetra

Speaking of Tetra, her costume is also pretty cool. I think it's cool how the colors of her jacket and bandana are swapped. My only complaint is that I don't really care for the striped shirt. But I guess it helps to get the reference to Niko across. I like this one, even if my partner doesn't get why she needs a Great Sea costume

Finally, we have King Daphnes. I really don't know who or what his costume is based on. But I also don't hate it. The bright colors are very striking and mesh decently well together. It actually kind of reminds me of a movie I saw when I was a kid.

A Comprehensive Rating of all The New Nike Kits that Literally No One Asked Me For:

starting off strong with England:

listen when i first saw this i was like hmm okay 😐, then i saw it on the players and i was like hmmm okayyyyy 💅💅

home is clean, classic - i like it. collar is a choice but i think it works, sleeves are nice, retro kits slay always - 8/10

controversial but purple as a colour in general sucks. however, i would barely call this away kit purple, the charcoal vibe is actually fucking sexy. it’s almost a grey kit, and a grey kit is almost a black kit, and i love black kits. love the pattern down the side, love the gold, my only reservation is that it looks like a training kit (specifically that ugly purple kit the lionesses had a few years ago) - 7.5/10

special shout-out to that eyesore of a goalie kit, i absolutely fucking love it

the home is… a kit. it’s nice, it’s clean, but it literally could not be less forgettable. it’s fine - 5/10

listen, when the colour scheme of your team is yellow and green, you just have to commit to garish. this kit is an eyesore in a good way. this is not a great picture of the pattern but let me tell you it’s gorgeous. i’m not sure about this weird collar though, it looks fine on some of these other kits but idk it’s just not doing it for me here - 8/10

again, this away pattern is hurting my eyes just looking at it, but i like it a lot. makes me wanna go to the beach. brazil knows who they are, and you will know about it. nice colour, bit of fun! more fun kits please! - 7.5/10

Oh that's a really tough one! I know what two of them are but it's the third one that's giving me trouble. Oh, okay, I've got it now! These are in no particular order because ultimately these are all very different types of games for different purposes.

Rolemaster. Big surprise there. Rolemaster is kind of a crunchy mess but I am extremely fond of it. It's a game that requires a lot of investment because character creation is very intensive. But once you start rolling on those tables, hoo baby. It's good. Every attack, every spell, every maneuver is a chance for some extremely random bullshit to happen and completely throw everyone's plans off balance, and that unpredictability and randomness is what I adore about TTRPGs.

Monsterhearts. This PbtA game of playing horny fucked up teenage monsters is a masterpiece of design and genre emulation. It is like if you threw Jennifer's Body, Ginger Snaps, the Vampire Diaries, and Carrie in a blender and made an RPG out of the resulting sludge. Strangely enough, I don't think it's necessarily the best PbtA game: I think Apocalypse World is still the best in that regard. But Monsterhearts as a whole is so explosive and melodramatic and powerful.

Basic/Expert D&D: I'm not entirely a D&D hater and I actually think TSR D&D was really good at times! The Basic/Expert set (specifically the 1981 version) is one of my favorite RPGs ever because it is ultimately a simple dungeon game that does everything it needs to do! And like, it is also a very silly game where Elf and Dwarf and Halfling are classes and the look and feel is a weird mix of like guys in proper medieval attire and then there's also like a Magic-User in star-spangled pajamas. It, or Old School Essentials, a modern retroclone of it, is my go-to system when I want to run the dungeon game.

Honorary mentions: AD&D 2e, D&D 3.5, D&D 4e, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2e, Apocalypse World, Godsend, Traveller 1e, Paranoia 1e, Fellowship, etc. etc.

the first three resident evil games are anti-capitalist masterpieces ESPECIALLY re2, re4 is extremely politically charged, provides a lot of insight into a post 9/11 world, and is generally very anti-government, while re5 is in this weird fucking paradox of having thoughtful commentary on how companies exploit poor countries while also being racist at the same time. re6 then throws all of this in the garbage and has leon and sherry lick so much boot despite them both being victims of the american government like the inconsistency is insane to me. then we get to re7 and re8 which have the most subtle hints of anti-capitalism and anti-big pharma but it's not really the main focus. i just miss how political resident evil used to be

i dont know how to post stuff like this and this could end up sounding like ramblings of a crazy person but fuck it, we ballin.

i don't think I've ever loved a game more than this, ever, in my whole life. not even my bendy faze in primary school aaaall the way up to middle school can top my devotion to this game. its done so much for me and so many others in this weird and talented community.

it's helped me improve my art style and writing with its diverse set of funny and memorable characters. i wouldn't have even made this account in the first place without it. and if i did without knowledge about tf2, i would be posting some pretty shitty stuff and not even have a fraction of the amazing followers i have now. and to that, i owe it to tf2.

its a timeless masterpiece that has withstanded time itself, even with its current fragile state being overrun by cucks hosting bots to fester in casual servers. there's nothing else like this game. like what other shooting game has a character that has canonically wrestled a bear naked and covered with honey, win, and get a fiancé in the same day? none, only tf2.

this game is one of a kind, so lets protect it.

End of Evangelion

Sorry for cursing, but what the actual fuck did I just watch. To understand this film, I basically had to read an entire essay about background information that can only be found in outside sources such as video games. I even watched a 5 minute YouTube video purely just to understand the infamous hospital scene.

Shinji at this point in the story is just absolutely fucked up in the head mentally. Both of his friends leave. Asuka is comatose. Rei is swimming in a juice bathtub. He even killed the guy that finally accepted him and even liked him. By the way apparently some people think Kawaru is a representation of Jesus who needed to be killed. Anyways, Shinji was just mentally not there. Shinji's in this shit mental state and knowing Shinji, he doesn't know how to properly express his emotions. So naturally what does he decide to do? Bust a load to Asuka's comatose body. Btw although the anime doesn't show any attraction for Asuka prior to this (except the kiss maybe and the childhood friend fantasy) apparently there's some side content that makes their relationship make a bit more sense.

I would explain the events of the story in more detail, but reddit can explain it better. Basically at the end Shinji decides he would rather live in the new destroyed world than a fantasy and the only person that we can see who also decided to stay is Asuka. Basically,Shinji chokes Asuka so he knows he's not living in some weird fantasy. Asuka caresses his cheek and calls him disgusting, letting him know that it isn't a fantasy. Basically Shinji has the craziest character development in all of anime history. Although it's hard to say if he's even alright at the end.

On one hand I think Evangelion is a masterpiece and on the other hand I think it's garbage. It's an anomaly within anime. As a story writer, if most people can't understand your story, then it's badly written. However, Evangelion reminded me of poetry. It was confusing but clearly had deeper meanings. I doubt anyone could ever COMPLETELY understand Evangelion by only watching the series&movie. It practically requires discussion between people to even grasp it. If the writers wanted to leave a lasting impression, they certainly achieved their goal.

1 - Shelter (2007)

I often joke around here about how I’ve been watching queer cinema for over half of my life at this point, and it’s easy to recommend this film. This is a coming of age film about a guy who gave up art school to become the primary breadwinner and caregiver for his family. However, when the older brother of his best friend returns to their town to collect himself, our artist and he reconnect and find something special between them. Great use of a young actor in this shores up the caregiving aspects.

I’m probably going to rewatch it now. Because it was produced by Here! TV, you can only legally watch it via a subscription to their platform. I own it on DVD because I fell in love with it and knew I needed to keep it forever.

2 - Big Eden (2000)

Big Eden. Oh, Big Eden. This is the film equivalent of a warm blanket and a tight hug. It’s about an artist named Henry Hart, who is preparing for a big exhibition in New York when he’s called back home to Montana because his uncle has had a stroke. We are greatest with the most queer-friendly town to ever exist as Henry manages his old angst about his straight best friend as the local general store owner also secretly pursues him. It’s absolutely lovely.

3 - The Blues Brothers (1980)

Luna has great taste, because this is one of the best films ever made. What was originally just an SNL bit turns into a fun road film about getting the band back together so that two brothers can raise enough money to pay the back taxes owed by the orphanage they grew up in. We also run over Illinois nazis in this movie and demolish dozens of cop cars. Cab Calloway, James Brown, Carrie Fisher, Chaka Khan, Paul Reubens, and Aretha Franklin are in it. John Candy orders orange whips. This is the kind of film I would watch with my dad any time it was on.

4 - Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)

This is one of the most man movies ever made. I don’t know any woman who wants to sit down and watch this film, but me and boys will spend an entire afternoon on this film in a heartbeat. The sexual tension between Russell Crowe’s and Paul Bettany’s characters goes unremarked on this website in a way that lets you know for sure this hellsite is dominated by femmes, because those two have definitely fucked. At least twice. It’s 1805 and oceans have become battlefields!

5 - Clue (1985)

A movie based on the board game of the same name should not have been this good, but it instead goes on to become a camp masterpiece. Many people will end up remembering Tim Curry for Rocky Horror or even Muppet Treasure Island, but this is still one of his favorite performances for me. This film is batshit and I love it. 

6 - Camp (2003)

Speaking of camp films, let’s talk about one of the best of all time. I know we often talk about the bad singing in Thai BL, but I unironically love all of the musical theater in this film. I regularly listen to this soundtrack, and have been for over 15 years. It’s a film about a bunch of weird theater kids who get to escape the bullying and hellishness of their lives for a few weeks during the summer, where they get to put on a bunch of classic plays. It’s so camp. I love this film because it was difficult for me to find queer films that had happy components with them, and this little movie has a wide array of queer kids in it.

7 - Make The Yuletide Gay (2009)

This was the first queer film I ever watched that had a happy ending that was also a comedy. Prior to this, I think I had watched Beautiful Thing (1996), Edge of Seventeen (1998), Get Real (1998), and Bent (1997). Most of those films ended resolved or sad. Yuletide is a silly little gay film of almost nonstop innuendo about a guy who goes back into the closet when he returns home for Christmas, but hijinks ensue when his boyfriend shows up unexpectedly. It’s an annual watch for me around the holidays, and I usually host people for it. 

Also, Adamo Ruggiero is in it! He played Marco on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Choso Kamo + pumpkin

“Mine looks weird.” It’s hard not to laugh at the pumpkin in front of your boyfriend. The lopsided eyes, the single tooth in the jack-o-lantern’s smile—it really does look weird. You don’t know how he managed to carve so off the black outline he’d drawn earlier.

“No! It’s—it’s got character!” You tell him. He pouts, running a thumb over one of the lopsided eyes.

“I don’t think that’s what it’s got.” He speaks, making you giggle.

“No really, I like it!” You try, and you honestly do. It’s sort of strange looking, but in a good way. You like that he made it, and a normal Jack-o-lantern’s face was boring. And Choso is anything but boring.

“Okay, then let’s trade.” He pushes his pumpkin toward you.

“Oh—um, no that’s okay.” He grins, letting out a laugh at your attempt at being polite.

“You hate it.”

“I don’t!” You protest through your laughter. “I’m gonna put a candle in it, and keep it outside and everything.”

He brings the pumpkin back to his side of the table, before grabbing the seat of your chair and pulling you closer. “Show me yours.”

The action flusters you, and you take a second to recover. Choso was good at doing things like that—something that would make butterflies erupt in your stomach, acting like it was no big deal to him. You think he must like the reaction he gets out of you.You pull your pumpkin towards you so that he can’t see it. “It’s not finished!”

“You just don’t want me to feel bad because you made a masterpiece and mine is some freak.” He rests his chin on his hand, watching you use the knife against your pumpkin.

“I like your freak.” You smile. He shakes his head, slotting on leg between your thighs and pulling you closer. He nudged his nose against yours, urging you to lean closer. When he captures your lips in his, you feel him smile against you.

He pulls away a moment later, tugging on the stem of ur pumpkin and turning it around so he can see. His eyes widen, and he lets out a loud laugh. “You made a freak too!”

“I fucked up the eyes, so I just gave it three.” You shrug, leaning back in your chair.

“Should I make mine weirder?” He asks, still examining yours. You laugh and shake your head at him. “I still wanna trade.”

“No!” You swat at him, pulling your pumpkin back.

I must must must tell you, Eros mania is one of my all time favorite sterek fics! And trust me when I say I’ve been ballsdeep sterek since like ages lmao! I especially got intrigued by the “cat and mouse” game “stiles” was playing pushing the limit of what is/is not cheating despite him being taken over by an evil spirit. The part where real Stiles gets horrified by what’s happening and begs for mercy from Derek sobbing on his feet, it realllly made me yearn for a plot like that in the future lmao. One where their love is put to test with adultery~ in loose terms because it depends for people what is seen as cheating and what not. But 🤔 yeah really loved this aspect in the story, wouldn’t mind to see it explored some more in your future works hehe. Thank you for bestowing this masterpiece upon us mere peasants

Eros Mania Amor is one of my faves as well, so thank you for sharing the love! Stiles playing and being all flirty with anyone other than Derek was sooo weird to write, I was like "Derek! Come get your man" all the time lol, and he definitely did!

I know it's weird to say this, especially considering what happens in the fic (nothing happens!!!) but cheating in fics is sooooooooo not my thing. Sorry! Like, EMA situation is the only way for me to explore the "cheating" aspect, or that one scene I did in Predators. Or the whole situation of Angel, Ignited.

It's when one of them has to, or forced to. Never because they would actually cheat. And they suffer the entire time because it's so unbearable and unnatural to be with another. Like, that scene you mentioned with Stiles falling to his knees and begging for Derek's forgiveness despite him not really cheating (I'll stand on that)... I fucking love that scene.

I mean I can't read them basically with anyone other than each other, I'm so not a multishipper it's bad... Can't even handle exes, I swear, I start yelling and crawling up the walls at the bare mention of st*dia or st*lia or st*o, or Derek with that bitch... and another bitch... or even the badass one god bless her I know she is loved by the fandom but that man is off limits 🚫

So yeah... I mean, I can always twist things like in EMA, but never truly cheating. They are obsessed with each other forever and always 💗

Karl groaned as he scrolled on his phone in bed. He’d been mindlessly liking fanart on twitter for like half an hour now. A lot of him and his friends, and a lot of him and his boyfriend.

His fans were creative, to say the least. They were so very talented. He hadn’t realized how long he must’ve been scrolling because he started to find fanart from accounts that he otherwise probably wouldn’t have paid close attention to.

NSFW fanart accounts.

These accounts had taken time and effort into making absolute masterpieces of him and his friends. He couldn’t help but cringe a little at some of the “ships” that people had come up with, drawing him in sexual relationships with people he’d never even pictured in that sort of light before.

Then, there was the art that featured him and Noah.

Even some complete accounts dedicated to NSFW art of the two of them.

Karl knew it wasn’t necessarily weird for him to look through it, for fucks sake they’re dating, but it gave him such a feeling of excitement.

His mind created little stories to go with each piece of lewd fanart that he scrolled past. He hadn’t even realized how much this affected him until he was subconsciously grinding against a pillow he had been mindlessly cuddling.

“Fuck..” He cursed under his breath, the pillow not providing nearly enough to what he so desperately needed.

He looked at his phone again, switching apps to text Noah.

“Are you busy?”

He stared at the phone screen for what felt like at eternity.

“Playing val with Luke, why?”

Karl rolled his eyes, unsatisfied with this answer.

“Need you.”

Waiting…

“Come here then.”

That provided a rush that was sent through his body quickly, excitement filled his head as he stood up to go to the other room, where he would be able to hopefully find relief.

Upon entering the room, he could see his boyfriend sitting at his computer. He wasn’t streaming, thank God.

But, he was on a discord call. He muted himself and turned to Karl, beckoning him over. Karl obeyed and walked over to Noah who pulled him down onto his lap.

“You can use my leg to get off, but you have to be quiet,” Noah said softly, even though he was muted on his call anyway.

Karl let out a shaky breath at the realization that Noah wasn’t going to get off of his call. He would continue playing with his friends, with their friends, who would have no idea of what was happening on this end of the call.

It gave Karl an even bigger feeling of excitement. He nodded as he adjusted himself against his boyfriend’s thigh.

Noah waited a moment for Karl to get comfortable before unmuting on his call.

“Sorry, I’m back,” He said, resuming his gameplay as though nothing had happened.

Karl started to grind down against his boyfriend's thigh. He set a steady pace for himself, trying his best to keep quiet.

How on earth Noah was able to continue playing like nothing was going on was beyond Karl.

Karl sped up a little bit, his hands moved up to rest behind the other’s neck, playing with his hair softly.

In his head he had silently been begging for Noah to just fuck him, whether he muted his call or not, he just wanted him, so fucking bad.

He’d listen as he would bicker with Punz over something that had happened in their game, not that Karl was paying attention to that or anything, too focused on trying to get off to care what anybody was saying.

Noah pushed his leg up ever so slightly into Karl, helping him gain just the slightest bit of more friction.

Karl couldn’t help the whine that left his mouth. One of Noah’s hands moved from his keyboard to grab one side of Karl’s waist, holding him in place slightly, also as a warning that he needed to be quiet.

“What the fuck was that?” Karl could hear the question through Noah’s headphones.

It should’ve been terrifying, but God, it made him wanna be louder.

“What was what?” Noah asked, giving Karl a bit of a look before putting his hand back to his keyboard to resume playing.

Karl could hear the confusion in Luke’s voice though muffled and quiet.

Thankfully, the conversation passed and it had been forgotten…until Karl made another noise.

This time might’ve been just a tad more on purpose than the first time. Noah was starting to get worried at how suspicious Luke had to have gotten, trying his best to play everything off as best he could.

That’s when Karl had a bit of a fun idea, he grabbed a little at Noah’s hair and pulled.

“Shit-” Noah groaned, accidentally.

“Bro what the fuck are you doing?” Luke laughed.

Karl couldn’t help but giggle softly to himself. He knew he was being a bit of a problem, that was the fun part. He started to grind down harder into his thigh, his breath catching as he got closer to his release.

The way Noah was unable to give an adequate answer to Luke had to have been madly suspicious, and Karl, knowing he was the reason, was absolutely obsessed.

"I'm not doing anything," He lied through shaky breaths, his hands leaving his keyboard once more to grab Karl's waist.

He helped Karl grind against his thigh, having to bite down on his lip to keep from making any noises. There was just something about seeing Karl in this sort of light…

“I’ve gotta go, talk later,” He said quickly before hurriedly leaving the discord call and pushing his focus completely onto Karl.

“Mm..fu-uck,” Karl whined now that the coast was clear.

His noises became more frequent and high pitched right before he came, riding out his high.

When he calmed down, he leaned against Noah, catching his breath.

“You’re gonna get me in so much trouble one day,” He mumbled, thanking god that he was able to leave the discord call when he did.

“Mm… ‘s okay, I can help you now though…” Karl grinned, getting up off Noah’s lap and on his knees.

Thank god he left that discord call.
