MM! Xander, after seeing Teruko getting chased by MonoTV just goes up to one of the XF-Ture workers and just shyly/awkwardly asks: Can I have wheels, like roller skates or something?

He just falls while trying to use them-

MonoTV: Wow, you suck at this.

Imagine after getting discovered he's just like: "Hello -insert all survivors-" and if David's still there he goes "Hi, David!" after (Basically like that one Cyn scene in the last episode of Murder Drones)

Ultimate Criminal Mastermind Peko

Once known as the elite guardswoman of the future Yakuza heir Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu, the head of the family was worried that Peko and Fuyuhiko were bonding too much and that his son would become weak as a result. Due to this, he ordered his men to kill her in order to toughen Fuyuhiko up. They set her room on fire and Peko was thought to have burnt to a crip and perished....including Fuyuhiko. Shortly after her death, he disappeared.

However....Peko didn't die. In truth, she survived the fire barely and she began to hide from the yakuza, to operate in the shadow. Fueled by disdain and vengeance for the yakuza and Fuyuhiko, due to believing the ladder betrayed her, she began to hone her body and mind even more and built her own criminal empire from the shadows. Now known as Saiban, she commands her mooks from the shadows and desires nothing more than to take over the Yakuza and to rule over Japan, in order to create a strong nation.

Over the year, she applied knowledge regarding chemics, biology, medicine and several fighting styles, all in order to improve herself and become even stronger. She created a drug that improved one's physical endurance to the point of surpassing the limits of the human body.

However, in spite of being bitter and vengeful, Peko is pragmatic. If you are not in the way of her goals, such as murdering, theft, conspiracy and corruption, she will not harm you. She refuses to harm weak opponents and bystanders and she is surprisingly affable and polite. If you mention the Kuzuryu name though.......

Danganronpa AU idea thing

Alright so I came up with this after watching too many "Mastermind Chihiro" edits and wishing he survived past chapter 2, and basically you play as him 'cause he's my favourite DR1 character and all the victims and murderers are different to keep it fresh and less predictable (obviously he doesn't die in chapter 2 so there's that) and basically I just want to do my own spin of the game with completely custom sprites, game mechanics from the other 2 games, other stuff.

The more I thought about it, the more I realised Chihiro would make a badass mastermind as he as access to all the tech stuff so he could manipulate security footage and technology to his will. Also I remembered recently after watching a really long video essay talking about DR2, that Alter Ego has quite a big role in the whole Neo World Program thing so as much as Junko Enoshima is a great villian, I couldn't stop thinking about an alternate universe where she was just an insane despair fangirl and Chiriro was the actual mastermind. Also that would mean Mukuro would actually make it to a trial and have her own sprites so that's cool.

Thoughts on Sayaka Maizono?

Sayaka really is a character who the fandom goes one or two ways. One section of the fandom calls her a snake and the other section literally decorates their entire fucking house in Sayaka drawings.

The funniest thing is some of @creepercraftguy's sprite edits found their way into said house and as such one can tease him over the fact he actually contributed to that...well would you call it a masterpiece? It's art but...I dunno.

Design wise, Sayaka is extremely plain looking but I am gonna give her some slack as she was literally the first female Danganronpa character ever designed and you aren't gonna have a banger on the first go. But I will say that Sayaka could benefit from a redesign as currently she looks like atypical Japanese high schooler which might have worked when we were in the Distrust era but in this zany Danganronpa universe, not so much. It's just her design isn't very "idol"

Of course everyone and their mother knows Sayaka is the first big gotcha in Danganronpa and tells you right away what this franchise is gonna be about. As in a normal setting, Sayaka would be the assistant character for Makoto and the fact they knew each other before the game was definitely setting up for that.

And so Danganronpa has her be victim number one, which okay that's one thing. The second thing is that Sayaka was planning a murder but 11037 turned the tables and killed her. Now I will say that those saying that Leon should have walked away once Sayaka was disarmed, firstly the Class Trial system wasn't announced until after this murder took place, and secondly Sayaka could have spun the whole thing to make Leon look guilty and the others would have believed her.

Alternatively the manga adaptation of Danganronpa paints this more tragically as Sayaka still had the knife on her when she fled into the bathroom and Leon opens the door, to try and calm her down. As for why he didn't do so outside, I'm gonna assume the door is soundproof, but Sayaka didn't believe him, another attempt was made and Sayaka got accidently stabbed.

Its very easy to call Sayaka a snake in this regard but aside from the fact by the logic of snake, both Aoi and Kyoko could be called that due to their actions, but Sayaka was less a criminal mastermind and more of a desperate young girl who feared her career was over. Given how brutal the idol industry is, Sayaka probably had to do some unsavory stuff to get on top.

What I find funny is whenever Sayaka shows up in askblogs she's a total badarse. Ask the Despair Kids? Sayaka runs the Remnants of Hope, was able to hold her own against Kyoji who had basically genetically modified himself to be like a typical Bioshock player, AND she has a pet kaiju. A Student Out of Time? Sayaka is the long awaited 4th good time traveller and has been pulling a lot of weight and has her own faction consisting of mostly future people from her class. Survivors? Sayaka is a major member of the Future Foundation and recently has become one of Makoto's girlfriends. The only one she hasn't done something epic in is Despair to Future Arcs but that's because we haven't focused on her past yet. And when Sayaka gets her moment in my sketches you bet she will have an epic moment.

But in terms of her in canon, Sayaka just dies in the first chapter because Spike Chunsoft hate using her as a reference model, and she sets the tone of the franchise but that's that. Nothing impressive in canon and her best moments are from her potential and what fans can do with her then what she does in canon.

Soooo I might change this, but, the 'Xander' that died was a robot made by XF-Ture that he replaced himself with during the killing Teruko thing-

The smile on his bandana possibly glows in the dark and he actually has the bandana covering his face a lot??

The MonoTV eyepatch changes with his emotions

The robo arms work and are possibly either connected to him or they have some sort of.... Bluetooth connection to him???

Part of the reason he has robo arms is to dunk on Whit since- ...y'know....

So, he has beef with Whit- and Charles for some reason, perhaps because Charles took his place of helping Teruko?

He finds it hilarious when Charles gets tackled (David probably does too if Xander shows him)

Ace Attorney Investigations Collection Checkmate Set!

This is the 3rd post in the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection Countdown: 78 days left until release!

Today's topic: the Special Edition aka the AAIC Checkmate Set! So excited! (And I love the name, fits perfectly to Miles' love for chess.) This was probably officially announced in Japan in some way (because it's Japan-exclusive, sadly) but I only learned of it today by happening upon a post about it. As announced in my initial post in this countdown I'm going to preorder this instantly (Japan import of course, I just need to find an online store that lists it and delivers internationally) but for now I'm gonna spend some time fangirling about the goodies you get with this Special Edition!

First we have this wonderful set of acrylic stands/figurines of 8 characters from both games! They're in the new chibi sprite artstyle which means I adore them already. I love figurines in general, especially if they're from two of my favourite games, especially if they look so pretty. The 8 characters chosen are Miles, Gumshoe, Kay, Franziska, Shi-Long, Gregory, Sebastian and Justine (fan translation names) - that pretty much covers all my most favourites from both games! I think the only character really missing would be Ray (fan translation name) but honestly, while I like him I've never been the biggest fan of him so I'm more than fine with this selection. They also picked nicely dynamic poses for each character which makes it look even better! And you get two different backdrops to put them in front of, Miles' office from I1-1 and the top of the Grand Tower from I2-4. I really have to think about how I'm gonna arrange them but I know it's going to look amazing!

The second extra is this Mini-Album CD with 5 additional newly arranged songs, so song arrangements you (as of right now) can't get any other way than this Special Edition. According to the Capcom website the titles of the songs are as follows:

Objections of Different Eras (which seems to be a remix of both Objection themes in one which sounds awesome)

Raven That Pursues the Truth (seems to be Kay's theme)

It's Time for Action! (seems to be Gumshoe's theme)

Howling Echoes (seems to be Shi-Long's theme)

Unveiling the Truth (seems to be either a Truth or Pursuit theme)

I'm really looking forward to hearing these new arrangements! The song selection sounds really promising. There's also the beautiful cover art! The CD itself has image cuts of Miles, Gumshoe, Kay and Shi-Long from the official Investigations Collection cover art which I love but the cover has entirely new artwork and it's amazing!

So many wonderful details! I love the composition idea, Miles is large in the background, drinking tea and seems to be contemplating his next move in a game of chess while all the others are in the new chibi sprite style and arranged on a chessboard - as if they were the actual pieces he was playing with! (I2 mastermind metaphor says hi!) And there's so much stuff going on! Kay seems to be dropping down from a height onto the board and Gumshoe watches her shocked; Patricia Roland points with her finger to them, maybe admonishing them (you can also barely see something large behind her, I think it's a book); behind them are Gregory and Ray (younger self) looking towards Miles or discussing something; in front of them is Shi-Long laughing and apparently talking to Shih-na who's mostly covered by the title; directly in front of Gumshoe is Missile sniffing at Buddy Faith's corpse (poor guy, he was probably a pawn who got sacrificed already 😅); going further to the right we have Oldbag in Pink Badger costume at the back looking longingly at Miles; Franziska and Justine in an aggressive discussion; Horace Knightley being mostly covered by the CD (there's probably some more going on there); Cammy Meele yawning; Shelly de Killer selling ice cream to the Steel Samurai holding the Iron Infant's hand (never thought I'd type that sentence 😂) and last but certainly not least 😉 there's Sebastian at the very front (de-beste spot?) reacting to something in a very Sebastian-like way. I would probably buy this CD for the artwork alone but the songs are great to have as well 😄

So happy that we even get a Special Edition with this collection! I know there's also been Japan-exclusive ones for the original DS games but this one's the first one I'll actually be able to get! I love these extras, they're amazing and I can't wait to have them!

Ok of all my mastermind edits i defintky think this is my favourite so far. Just imagining Monaca fetti g her way and finally fully changing Komaru into the newest Junko iteration. Definitely not perfect but god i had a fun time making this one

I've once again updated the Doom 64 Commando sprites, thanks to Korp for polishing my work, and I also made a new variant with a BFG as a weapon, I also added a sprite edit of Immorpher's upscaled Arachnotron Mastermind mixed with Sgt_Mark_IV's BD64 Mastermind and some Battlelord minigun parts thrown into the mix, also updated the D64 Mimic as well
