Maybe this should've been a sinful Sunday post, at the risk of forgetting about it for another 5 months. Dedicated to @noxturnalnymph for hooking me with this gif. And ty @wind-goddess-eri for your gifs that launched 1000 thots.
Thank you for reading <3 If you enjoy it, or him, I appreciate your feedback whether here or on ao3.

The right always projects onto media coverage of mass shooting the false idea that crime stories "disappear" if not committed by white conservative men - as if the media doesn't constantly denigrate marginalized groups & try to associate them with crime - which obviously does not happen. But its projection bc those stories do disappear from right-wing media whenever it turns out that instead of being done by trans leftists, mass shooters are squarely in their target demo, which turns out to be the case every time

Avha is a reclusive poet and musician whose individualistic opinions and refusal to wear any family tattoos made her a controversial figure in her local community. She became famous overnight after surviving a mid-performance attack that left her with a cracked horn that would never heal.
Since the attack Avha has begun to wear a red streak on her face as if to say "Is this what you wanted?" to those who frowned upon her lack of tattoos.

Absolutely horrific news today with regards to Southport. Two children dead, nine children and two adults also critically injured when a seventeen year old attacked them with a knife at a children’s dance workshop.
Genuinely heartbreaking news. Hope he never sees the light of day again.

Hey Pizzano? Maybe you should give Stinky a break, he looks like he's about to tell you not to come into work tomorrow.
Send brutal anons to my muse criticizing/negating their relationships in canon or with someone they interact with on this blog!
Tumblr media
" Are you fuckin' implying ol' Stinks would go POSTAL?? And you think I would NOT wanna see that happen? Holy fuck, you could not be MORE wrong!
Dude absolutely wouldn't tell me not ta come in, though, come on now. I'd be his first stop. I bust that guy's balls all the damn time, and hell if it don't get me some results. He works better under pressure. They can give me as many doctor's notes about his high blood pressure and needin' to reduce his stress levels they like, I know how that man REALLY ticks. "

i will say that i’m devastated a person died, and that two other people were injured. i do not care at all what happens to trump, but i do care about mass shootings. i’m devastated, and i’m terrified. and my leftist desire to protect people from mass shootings doesn’t change when those people are attending a trump rally.

When I saw the shooting in Maine, I knew you were in the state but didn't realize you were close enough to be in lockdown. Stay safe, I hope the catch the guy (or find his body..?) Soon.
Btw I live in Michigan and when the school shooting happened (Oxford Shooting), I felt gutted bc that stuff doesn't happen here! That happens in like Texas or Florida or something! So you are not alone in the feeling of 'that doesn't happen here!'
Oh my town isn't in lockdown or anything, I am like 70 miles from where it happened but i work at a bank and all of our branches in the state have closed the lobbies and we are drive up only just in case. our drive up window has bulletproof glass lol
this ask has really got me thinking though. why do those of us in largely white northern states automatically assume we are safe, that violence only happens in the south so far away from us? why do our minds immediately point to Texas and Florida as places that are not safe? what are the demographics of those places vs the demographics of where WE live? what does this say about how we navigate public spaces as we assume that random gun violence could never happen to us? because it's become obvious now that it can and it may and ultimately will impact all of us.
i dunno man, i don't have any answers right now but you've really got my brain gears turning with this, so thank you.
