I really like how Donnie and Mikey having the shortest mask tails makes so much sense in regard to them being an inventor and an artist/cook respectively. If their mask tails were longer, it could be dangerous and/or get in the way of what they were trying to do.

Meanwhile Raph is large enough that his longer mask tails wouldn’t be easily used against him in fighting or sparring, plus the longer tails definitely make for a more standard hero/ninja look which would make him lean into it more.

Leo likes long mask tails because he can flip them.

Something I really like about how Laura plays Imogen is that her idea of what's appropriate to say around people she likes is completely warped by her powers. I think Imogen feels it's better to voice your honest thoughts, even if they're somewhat tactless or lack the niceties one would expect, which makes sense because what most frustrates her is people who think one thing and say the other. However, that's not the standard for hypocrisy among people who aren't psychic, which is why she often comes off the way she does.

#critical role #honestly as someone who usually finds psychic characters VERY annoying i think this is giving us insight that is usually lacking #imogen's standards of empathy and hypocrisy are on a fully different scale than most people's are - including all of bells hells #and on some level it's like. she does know how to mask it but doesn't w/people she's more comfortable with (the party & her father)#but also it means she's often the least traditionally empathetic with people she cares about #it's a SUPER interesting flip of Laura's usual M.O.#imogen temult

sorry my post is just to complain but guys i literally hate adobe after effects. i can not explain to you the mental torture and how LOW it has brought my mental health because I *need* to use it for my post production class because it's "industry standard". ADOBE After Effects has made me write off the entire film and video production industry as a turn off and I never want to do it ever again.

The amount of times this has crashed on me where I lost everything? 5+ hours of work? 8+ hours of work? It's my fault for not saving sometimes but I also have auto-save on. it didn't save anything so im just left with nothing.

You want a trip to burn out town really quick? Use adobe after effects in an academic setting where you have no choice but to use this program.

I have never in my life TOUCHED a program SO TERRIBLE that it made me never want to do anything about that form of art/media EVER AGAIN

#I'm ALSO going in and out of the hospital these past few weeks so im just bawling and crying and crying over losing this project just now #because it was due 3 days ago #and i cant finish it becvause i loste verything #im sorry to everyone reading this i just feel like an insane person #like if i tried to explain this to someone theyd just tell me to stop crying and to get over it #anyway cannot recommend adobe after effects any fucking less #never join advertising/film industry i guess?#im so miserable right now. Saw a post in the tag that's like "do you think the Half Life series is an allegory for the COVID-19 pandemic?" and putting aside that it can't really be an allegory for something that happened decades after it was released... I'd say the answer to that question is a very emphatic no.

The Half Life series is about how a horrible freak science accident happened and made everyone's lives considerably worse in a very short time, and then humanity spent 20 years working together to fix it. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven that when horrible freak science accidents happen in the real world and make everyone's lives considerably worse in a very short time, humanity will pretend to care for about 1.5 years and then gleefully, spitefully, cruelly throw everyone who survived the first wave to the wolves. People in the HL2 universe gave up their lives for the greater good. Most of y'all won't even wear a fucking mask to the grocery store.
