Mash and Smash Potatoes

The only differences between mash and smash is that smash potatoes still have the skin on them.

If you doing this as a side for two-four people then two potatoes are enough. You will need salt, 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk, and seasonings of your choice.

Cut your potatoes into medium sized cubes as best as you can. Then put them in a pot of cold water. Then put it on high. If you put them in water that is already boiling then the potatoes will cook uneven.

Once they are done cooking, drain the water out, add the butter, buttermilk and seasonings. Then you mash the potatoes up. You can use a musher for this or a rubber spatula. Also make sure the heat is on medium. You don’t want to burn it.

Once everything is mixed up and lump free, make sure to taste it. You don’t want everyone to eat it because you get a taste lol. Now you can serve it!
