"Spirit Walker" #oilonboard is my depiction of the Welsh mythology of the Cwn Annwn--the spectral hounds of the Otherworld, typically white with red ears in folklore (though I took some poetic license with these hounds), associated with the Wild Hunt and dubbed by Christians later as the "Hounds of Hell". The hounds surround her with fierce protection as she walks Between the Worlds. Happy Snow Moon! Tonight is the February #fullmoon known as the #snowmoon, also called the #hungermoon or the #stormmoon. I created this #oilpainting last year around this time as a part of a full moon painting series I had started for fun. There was a serious accident in the family that happened shortly after I completed this #bearpainting which halted me from continuing the series, and so I had to temporarily put it aside as a result. I never did come back around to it, not just yet, but I really enjoyed working on them and all of the completed ones sold which created warm fuzzy feelings of #gratitude.
