Marvey Bang 2024 - Update & Call for Artists

The sign-up for writers to join the 2024 Marvey Bang has now been closed - thank you so much to everyone who decided to join!!

You should find an email in your inbox (of the email address you provided when you signed up) within the next few days. We will let you know how and when to send in your summaries and we'll provide you with an example or two as well.

Remember: The due date for all writers' summaries is March 11, 2024!

Hey Marvey nation

Is there a list of “Must Watch” Suits episodes? Or a list of “Meh, These Are Skippable”?

Because here’s the thing. I am 5 episodes in. There are 134 episodes. I can watch about 2ish per week because that’s how my life works. I very desperately want to get into the fic, but don’t want to be lost because I don’t know plot points or characters. Will almost certainly go back and watch the unlisted episodes later.

I guess one answer is to start with AUs and I’ll probably do that but would still like to mainline the show if I can.

You seem to be pretty active in the Marvey community so I guess I’m here for some advice.

I’d love to get some feedback on the characterizations of this fic I’m writing, but I’m nervous about reaching out to anyone else in the Suits fandom. I wanted to ask if you knew any good beta readers that might be willing to read a part of my fic—partly because I really do need someone to give me suggestions on the writing and also because I’m going crazy not having anyone else to talk to about Marvey... Lol

Hi! I don't actually have a beta reader myself. Your best bet at finding a beta reader is probably the Marvey Discord Server. There are people with beta roles in the server who will most likely be willing to give you some feedback. If you're not looking for a beta reader in specific, chatting in the Writer's Room channel to bounce ideas off or asks about characterizations could also help. It's also just a nice place to talk about Marvey, everyone's very nice and welcoming!

Feel free to dm me too! I'd love to have someone to freak out over Marvey with lol :p

au where harvey is a masked vigilante by night and mike is...mike. and constantly needs saving, it seems.

harvey's masked vigilante name is taken from the movie The Spirit (2008) that gabriel macht starred in. i have not seen this movie, and this is not meant to be a crossover/spirit au, i just borrowed the name.

"You just don't know how to stay out of trouble, do you?" Spirit says. But his voice sounds… fond. Mike is cradled in his arms, pressed flush against him, and he's looking directly into his eyes, which is why he sees it.

Without thinking, Mike reaches out to touch Spirit's face, his hand landing on his cheek, cupping the firm curve of his jaw, thumb brushing his lips, fingertip tracing the edge of the mask.

"…I know you," he says.

"Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty well-known around these parts, so I'd hope you would," Spirit chuckles.

"No, I…" Mike's heartbeat flutters in his ears, taking flight. "Your eyes. They crinkle a little, at the corners, right here." He places his finger there, and Spirit blinks, eyelashes brushing up against Mike's skin. "It's exactly the same as when we're in the office. You always do that when…"

When you're looking at me.

Mike swallows, mouth suddenly dry. "Harvey," he whispers. "Harvey, it's you, isn't it?"

"I don't know. Maybe you find me distracting?"

Harvey smirked. "While I won't deny I've thought about doing things to you on that couch, I've been perfecting my self control around you for four years now, sweetheart. I think I can handle it."

"Yeah, but this time's a little different."

"Oh? How so?"

"This time you know I'd let you do whatever it is you're thinking about."

"With everyone still here?" Harvey raised an eyebrow. He stood up, out from behind his desk. Smirked, then took another slow step towards Mike like a predator ready to pounce. "I mean, if you'd like that..."

Mike knew it was a game. He knew it, tried to keep eye contact with Harvey as long as he could. It was chicken, after all. Just a game. Harvey wouldn't dare.

But then Harvey took another slow, confident step towards him, just close enough that he could have reached out and touched him, and Mike's eyes shot to the door of their own accord.

"Didn't think so." Harvey let out a dark chuckle and diverted himself behind the couch, heading for his record collection. Every single hair on the back of Mike's neck suddenly felt like a live wire, and he crossed his legs conspicuously and shifted the notepad on his lap.

He nearly jumped out of his skin when Harvey leaned over the couch. The heat of his body loomed over Mike, and his breath was hot and direct in Mike's ear when he spoke. "Besides, you know me. I don't share."

He punctuated the last word by pressing a soft kiss to Mike's temple-lingering just long enough to make sure he felt Mike's shudder. Then went back to his record player and his desk like absolutely nothing had happened.
