One of my favorite beats in the original Civil War miniseries is this aside where the government is shown training a team of second-string superheroes for permanent deployment in, like, Montana or something, one of the rectangular states, and they talk about how they're planning to code-name them after members of the Olympian pantheon. At which point someone says, wait, isn't the Olympian pantheon like objectively real? Aren't those names taken? And they go, yeah, but literally the only one of them who gives a shit about any of this is Hercules, and Hercules sided with Cap, so he's got absolutely no legal recourse here even if he understands enough about copyright law to be insulted by this. Which, outside the immediate joke about Hercules in particular, really does gesture at something interesting undergirding the legitimacy of superhero titles- in a superhero setting with more than a handful of superhumans, the "legitimate" holder of a given superhero name is going to be whoever's best able to work the legal system and the media. Peter Parker is Spider-Man because great-power-great-responsibility Blah Blah Blah. But he's also Spider-Man by consensus.

Anyway, Logan has great taste, and i love him + love all the silly little freaks he's in love with. That's what this blog is gonna be about, until the love runs out.

AKA until the rabies fever kills the brain worms.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!!!!!

I know this is the last day,but i just wanted to draw some Wolverine X Hercules ship fanart because there are my fav.ship in Marvel univers(I know there are in different alt.univers act...I know don't worry)

I just love them because Herc is a God and tall,powerfull and funny and brave,but also theres Wolverine a immortal men who is also brave,fearless and a bit grumpy.But in both of them they have common characteristics...like they have a LONG way back past where there was so much pain,lost,war,fighting,love act.They have there own traumas but they can share ehit each other.They like beers of course,chatting about there past,loves fighting with anybody, and also Logan/Wolverine is the mean,grumpy,angry man the moon and Hercules is the happy,always active,brave,loundy kind man the sun. (Sorry for this but i wanted to tell what i fell,thinking about them...)

Hercules in the original Civil War is also really funny because (admittedly by authorial fiat) he either doesn't understand or doesn't give a shit about any of the politics undergirding the Superhuman Registration Act whatsoever, he literally just showed up and started helping Captain America because Captain America asked nicely and is his friend and a fellow Noble Warrior :) There's a sequence where Caps inner circle are all meeting in newly minted civilian cover identities and Hercules has one too even though he didn't previously have a "real" secret identity that he needed replaced, he looks visibly confused as to why they're bothering with this but he presumably wanted to be included :)

I still always want to take concepts from the Kane Chronicles and apply them to comics. The Kane Chronicles had the whole thing of: Gods can't really affect things in the mortal realm without having a host body. So for example: Carter Kane ended up being the host for Horus. And i love that concept, and i keep seeing it in Thor. Thor and Don Blake feels like a Kane Chronicles host body style thing. For Thor to appear on midgard, he needs Don Blake to host his essence. This would also mean that Thor and Don Blake are different men with different personalities, which would be really cool.

And hell, i can still apply this concept to other characters in the thor comics. I'd have made Jane Foster the host body for Sif. I think that would have been fun, since we'd then be combining thor's love interests. We could even use this as an opportunity to imagine possible hosts for loki, odin, hercules or other gods. It'd add an extra layer to the already interesting realm of thor comics.

Hell, even outside the realm of thor comics i could make this work. Imagine an alternative universe where Captain Marvel/Shazam worked like this. Billy Batson is the host for whatever god Captain Marvel is. It'd be sort of extra derivative of percy jackson then (seeing as billy batson is roughly the age of an average rick riordan protagonist), but it'd be really cool to see someone take this route with captain marvel and the marvel family. there's potential in it.

Yearly Reminder of Earth 12025

James Logan Howlett shares a romance with Hercules the Lion of Olympus. They are persecuted for it, mortal laws claim the romance of two men illegal, and Zeus is mad that his son is fuckin a mortal, because he thinks he should have a monopoly on fuckin' mortals.

In this universe, Wolverine's skeleton is infused with Adamantine, the metal of the Gods, gifted to him by Hercules. This makes him immune to any telepathic bullshittery. Hedidnt get the whole Weapon X treatment, so he never lost any memories hence he still goes by James.

After revealing their love, Zeus throws a hissy fit and banishes them to Tarterus, where they fight and survive for 4 years before Howlett gets snatched by Savior, a variant of Charles.

The couple reunites later, Hercules joining Howlett's group to hunt down evil Charles' variants throughout the multi-verse.

Also Howlett is Governor whatever the fuck of Canada, but i think banging a Demi-God is the most interesting part of his life. Canada isn't even real, gays are.
