Just once I would like a Peter stuck in Gotham story where Tony gets dragged along with him for the ride.

Like they drop down and Tony is like

“Not an ideal situation, good news is we’re not dead. Bad news that looked like a one way trip for us. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. Now we should focus on short turn goals: food, water and a place to stay, everything else can wait.”

I want Tony to be out there working his ass off from helping people with broken items then getting a job at wayne enterprises and starting a technology revolution in this dimension because he just can’t stand how out of date everything is and then running to pick up Peter from the rich kid school and the two of them trying to do reconnaissance and failing miserably.

Peter for his part is having a great time with school and his new vigilante gig.

Peter’s vigilante friends in school are worried about how bruised Peter looks sometimes and think that Tony is abusive before breaking in and just hearing Tony being a mother hen.

Then one breakout things are not looking too good and Spider-man just says

“Karen, activate Papa Protocol.”

And then like ten minutes later in comes Ironman with a bone to pick with the rouges.

Bruce doesn’t know if he loves Tony or hates him but his kids find him hilarious.

#garry's mod #gmod #source engine #half life 2 #sandbox #hearted #a car in the parking lot. no evident signs of life aside from your presence. the lights and heating in here are on. external doors locked #some stores are still in states of occupation but clearly none of them are actually doing business anymore #where are you? why are you here?#maybe you're in a weird vestigial janitor's position— showing up to move odds and ends out and make sure no one's broken in #maybe just a very boring security job for the last couple weeks #maybe (and this is a stretch) you work in the diner downstairs that still seems to be at least *approaching* functional?#most appealing idea to me is just being someone walking home from work/school and finding one of the front doors left propped open #you stop in and can't help but wander the still-furnished stores and marvel at the stillness #there's a threatening feeling when these liminal maps block or lock exit doors that feels very obvious and it's not entirely missing here #but it doesn't feel like very *present* danger? i can't help but compare it to sneaking through an abandoned building #you're not really in any danger aside from maybe getting told off by a security guard who probably doesn't care #but this map inspires way more positive comfy feelings in me than it does any fear. it's a callback to the urbexing teen years i didn't hav #and a reminder of just how much dead retail space now pockmarks my neck of the woods

#Marvel #Marvel comics #Marvel 616 #Phases of the Moon Knight #Moon Knight comics #latest release #Moon Knight #Marc Spector #Night Raven #sorry at the risk of repeating myself there continues to be just so much I love here #literally staring the consequences of supposed immortality and acting as an arbiter of vigilante justice in the phase #(also a bit of an interesting point considering that Night Raven mentioned that he was a veteran of one of the Ypres battles #making this also a potential parallel to the literal effects of chemical warfare on the body as well as the more metaphysical effects #of war on the soul)#and nonetheless Marc makes it clear that he sees no other path nor is he looking for one #(I don’t know if this was intentional but I appreciate the detail of the visible exit sign and open door behind Marc #potentially signifying the out that’s being offered here if Marc just turns his back on dealing justice and retreats #but as you can probably gather there’s no way Marc’s doing that)#I find it fascinating the distinction made between Moon Knight and Fist of Khonshu here too #everyone naturally might interpret such a short line differently #but I see it almost as a declaration that Marc himself IS Moon Knight and it is solely of his own indomitable will/tenacity #that he refuses to quit #the fact that he is — as some might say — condemned to never die however is a byproduct of his service to Khonshu

The juxtaposition of the modern art of this variant cover and the very 80s art of the interior is so funny.

I don’t know if Archaia was trying to make people judge the book by its cover or what. I can’t fathom who would buy a reprinted Dark Crystal movie adaptation comic except someone who was already big into Dark Crystal.

There was another version with the original cover but my comic shop only ordered a few issues and all with the new Archaia cover.

I think you could rehabilitate Arcade X-Men if you just gave him access to rollercoaster tycoon.
