After getting a few asks about the Marra when I posted that last Hilda comic with David x Louise getting photobombed by the Marra, the idea of Frida becoming one if she stuck with them came to mind. This is also kind of a follow up to that previous comic.

I was taken to the hospital where my injury occurred and I stayed in intensive care for several days. Then after... It was during my coma that I first began to ask about my children and my wife, and when I learned of their martyrdom, and after that I did not feel alive, for my soul had left me. I mean, then, without shelter, without treatment, without work, or family, I felt that I had nothing. Everything was gone with the bombing, even my dreams. Yesterday, my family and neighbors needed to work in order to provide myself with a shelter to help me from the heat and cold of winter, and I need the required treatment in order to return to how I was before the damned war Which left a fire in my heart that will never be extinguished. She's now an even brattier marra than her mother was and as adventurous as Hilda, she's the leader of her little group and the one who decides what and what not to do, but she will learn how to grow past her brattiness and become a better friend, one way or another...

She's finally redesigned oof, and will have a nice spinoff in the future! Now, which one you think is better?

Lauren wasn’t present for much of The Marra Episode, the only part she was there for was when David came home disguised as Hilda (she went to ruffle her sisters hair to say goodnight and screamed bloody murder when she realised there was a bug in her hair, scrambling away so fast that she didn’t notice that wasn’t actually Hilda). She was asleep by the time Johanna realised “Hilda” was actually David.

As a result she straight up doesn’t believe the whole thing even happened. She just thinks Hilda is embarrassed about having a bug in her hair and so made up an elaborate story to justify why it wasn’t her actually it was David in disguise because we switched places because I had to save him from a NIGHTMARE MONSTER and she’s just like yeah. Uh huh. Sure you did kid

I really love the idea of a marra redemption, and I have a lot of headcanons about David's Marra specificially - but I also headcanon her as just older than David enough for it to feel iffy (I tend to prefer them as friends), and in canon she was unrepentantly evil, so... it goes here :))

Can you do something great?

Yes, you can, Almost three years ago I decided to pick up my stylist and drew Her, because I made one choice I spiraled up heel and began to improve more then I ever have. In life it might not seem big at first but one small choice can make you into someone you never thought could exist.

Leader Marra, Twin-tails, whatever you know her as, but for me her name is Hope and will always be Hope no matter what happens, this character means the world to me and has give me exactly what her namesake is. Hope, she’s been my driving reason for drawing and improving. I’ve meant so many amazing people because of her as well, such as Sadie who’s become one of my favorite people to talk to and just joke with at times.

So yeah just go with your gut sometimes and even if you think it looks bad at first that’s ok, just live in the moment and it’ll take you further then you could ever imagine

She’s my sweet gremlin child and if anyone tries to take her, you’ll see how well you fly
