I have spent a good amount of time while working on this project into learning new softwares and skills to improve the quality and technical side of my work.

some of the new softwares and skills I have added to my list are:

Substance Designer

SpeedTree

MarmosetToolbag

Substance Designer and Marmoset have been a great addition to my skillset as an artist.

These softwares are extensively used in the industry and are an essential part of the game design pipeline.

Being able to learn more softwares and understanding the small technicalities that go into the workflow while making a game is extremely crucial to anyone who works in the industry.

Learning these softwares has helped me build a greater understanding of this.

Finally.  The deed is done.

I started work on this monster before I even entered the industry. It always ended up being pushed on the back burner as I wasn't working directly on hand-painted projects and so I put my energy into other practice pieces. Then in 2020 during lockdown, I finally finished it!

There are many, many things I would do differently now, in particular I would make the wall geo double sided and make the overall scene more presentable. I reworked a lot of the textures and would model a lot of the assets very differently. However, this piece still remains one of my favourites.
