Darkiplier theory

So I see most people are saying that Dark is behind all the shenanigans around the videos but I really think that its Mark. Like Mark is trying to keep us from realizing that he is really an evil man and the only way to do that is let us sleep in the van and brainwash us that way BUT Dark won't have that. Dark wants revenge on him and he needs our body to do that which brings us to ADWM and when they are telling us that the other is an evil man and we don't know what he does to people. If we shoot either one they only come back. The Mansion ties them together. That's the way they survive. Dark only wants us to kill Mark where Mark wants us to be his... I wanna say.... Pets.

But that's all I got right now. So yeah

Alright, so when you go into the dark tunnel thing, you get the option to split up several times. Mark seems to be really mad when you won’t split up, and when you do, he’s ecstatic. Question is: why does he want to split up so bad? If anyone has any theories, let me know.

So I've been wondering. If Dark wants to be the True evil one like some theories say then he would need to take out Anti. Also I've been wondering about what @therealjacksepticeye said at Pax. "no one has figured out What Anti is. " Well he was in a void with Dark. Does this make Dark and Anti the same thing? But Dark is made of two people.(Cannon I believe he is made of Cliene and Daimen). Anti glitches, does this make him just a computer virus or Something like Dark? I'm not sure if Anti and Dark's meet is Cannon on both channels but I don't believe Jack would answer me if I asked. So we can only theorise. @markiplier

"Go Back To Sleep Theory" with Fischy

The line, "this place was made for broken things", I feel was best explained by MatPat, the line is describing Mark's YouTube channel. We have to remember the state he was in before he found YouTube. Also remember that Mark said Dark admires what he has made, which is the channel. He admires the man Mark worked had to make, he even said in a vlog about wanting to be Markiplier. Maybe so much so that the real goal for Dark is to masquerade as Mark, take complete control over his YouTube channel, and live as a normal person. Well a wealthy person that would stoop low enough to manipulate people because we know that's what Dark is best known for and would do if he were to pretend to be Mark. And one last point, Dark could be telling Mark to go back to sleep meaning, "stay dormant while I pretend to be you". Or who knows, maybe Dark just wants to ruin his good name because our sweet and loveable Mark could actually be Asshole Mark in disguise. As MatPat stated, Markiplier, Mark himself is an ego, a character. Times where Mark is calling himself an asshole could be either clues to the truth or not but the lines between lore and mundane things are becoming blurred. I didn't have a chance to write anything on the MatPat's theory yet and I absolutely loved his take on it! Not so much people's response, a little harsh, but what can you do. Who is Y/N District Attorney in WKM and what role do they play?

Every character in “Who Killed Markiplier?”, despite misconceptions about who and what they are, are established in their own timelines, and they’re are all connected in clear ways… All except for Y/N District Attorney (Y/N DA). Now this could be because it’s Mark’s way of allowing us to insert ourselves into the story, but I want to go beyond that. Who is this character, “the viewer” what connection do they (or do we) already have with the characters of WKM. Also, what does seeing the world through the DA’s eyes mean for us?

I want to start off by saying the viewer is referred to as Y/N (your name) District Attorney because at the beginning of WKM, when Butler Benjamin asks for Y/N’s invitation, the letter you hand him says who the invitation if for. (I wanted to clarify this because a few people I know were asking why the viewer is called Y/N District Attorney in WKM.)

We also know that only Mayor Damien recognizes us at the party, having met him before and seemingly being longtime friends with him and only him. Strangely enough, we seem to have no connection to Actor Mark, the man who the party at the manor. If I had to guess, this party to the DA would seem just like any other high profile party during the time period. You see for these types of partied as the District Attorney, they more than likely would have attended because parties like this were a way of making connections with others. But as we know this wasn’t the party’s intention, Actor Mark’s true intentions for the party being much more sinister with the front of being a “reunion for friends”. But the DA if I has to guess wouldn’t have known this, just having received the formal invitation and going to the party as a formality.

The fact that we only know Mayor Damien and our relationship with him says MANY things about the viewer’s perspective of the party. Such as:

1)      We were more than likely invited to the party because of Damien. Now I’m NOT saying he asked Actor Mark to invite us, what I’m saying is that, going back to what we know AS FACT about Actor Mark is that he has hired Detective Abe MANY times to look into and essentially stalk his friends/ex. He stalked Colonel William and Seer Celine (explained fully here if you don’t know the WKM story line: https://markiplierloretheories.tumblr.com/post/176800235455/who-killed-markiplier-explained ) to get a better idea of their fates and to essentially envy and plan his revenge. But with Damien, he’s got no personal grief or hatred towards. Damien had stayed out of all of the drama between William, Actor Mark, and Celine. So when he looked into Damien’s current personal life, Abe more than likely reported on the DA, someone Damien seems oddly fond of (and honestly probably there was a crush or love between the two but I’ll explain why I think that later in the post). I think Mark invited Y/N for him, so that when everything went wrong, Damien would have Y/N DA to fall back on as someone who makes sense, who would be just as lost as he was in the mix. I mean just look at how Damien constantly comes to you for reassurance and for guidance in WKM. (But again I’ll come back to this)

2)      I think perspective is important, Mark during the WKM Livestream stresses on the importance that we are seeing this story through Y/N’s eyes. He tells us constantly how important the viewer or the District Attorney is. I think this is because how we see each of the characters and their personalities, depends on how Y/N sees them. So for example, since Damien is an old friend of the DA’s, he makes sense to Y/N. He appears well put together and speaks to the DA in a clear way that makes him seem more trust worthy than every other character in WKM. Everything about WKM is confusing, from the video, to the storyline, to the characters, but NOT Damien. I believe this is because we are seeing this story from the perspective of someone who was just introduced to this situation and to these wacky characters with in depth backstories. This explains why Abe seems to too dramatic, why Celine seems overly suspicious, why Actor Mark seems to be a completely misunderstood and confusing character, and why William seems so bizarre. But they all don’t make sense to the DA and the DA is trying to understand these new people, their perception making them seem more dramatic and exaggerated than they may actually be. I mean we know that perspective matters because of the scene from the perspective of William when he described Actor Mark:

How we see the characters depends wholly on who is seeing them, and in this story that is so jumbled and confusing, Damien makes sense because you know him. This can also explain why he seems like such a well put together, strong and pristine man, because Y/N obviously admires him, looking past any flaws he may actually have. Because either the DA just admires him as a person and is one of his closest most trusted friends, the District Attorney blindly follows him, the Mayor, or, like most people in love, Y/N only sees Damien’s best qualities and is blind to his faults. Regardless of why, the fact that the viewer sees the story through the District Attorney’s eyes is important.

3)      Why Celine used/manipulated Y/N at the table is because the DA is the only person she could have used. I don’t see Celine as an evil person, she, in WKM, is just someone trying to get stuff done. Y/N is the only person there who she has no personal connection to (meaning she doesn’t care as much about Y/N), and the DA is the only character who she doesn’t know who is listening to her, trying so desperately to understand what is going on so this whole story can end. Y/N doesn’t argue with her like Detective Abe does. You’re literally the only option.

She’d never hurt William, Mark isn’t there and she’d never use him as a subject (many reasons for this), Abe wouldn’t help her, she’d never hurt her brother Damien, and the Chef and the Butler wouldn’t care to help (I mean just look at how they ran away in the end while you stayed to help William and Abe- this may have to do with your connection to Damien and concern about him).

4)      It explains how crucial it is that at the end of WKM, it is mainly Damien trying to convince Y/N in the “Upside down” about “their” plan. Notice how he reassures the DA while Celine explains the plan. Of course the House is manipulating them into doing this, but it works. And of course the DA trusts him. And because of it, they forever lost their self.

That is my insight into Y/N DA. If there ever way something between the DA and Damien, it wouldn’t even matter, because Y/N is left to suffer the worst fate of all, their spirit being left to stare into the mirror at the end of WKM while Darkiplier takes their body. All because they decided to go to a dinner party.

Don’t Remember Theory

So a while back I made this gif of Mark:

I was surprised Mark liked it (and the 2,000+ notes thanks guys), so I thought he he was confirming that there wouldn’t be any Darkiplier stuff just goofy van videos. At least for a while. :3

I was SO sure he wasn’t going to pull any Darkiplier crap on us but... Today he released the video “Don’t remember”.

I realized the static on the TV in the video is the same as the static towards the end of WKM. Is Darkiplier capable of leaving his reality and bleeding into ours through the static? I really love the world Mark and Teamiplier created through visuals.

But another thing caught my eye:

Those are titles to previous Darkiplier videos. 

Remember guys, Darkiplier is a social manipulator, he wants us to do the opposite. Reverse psychology. So by that logic, he wants us to remember. What he wants with us though, maybe something sinister? For example, he can’t get to Markiplier but we can so he can manipulate us to kill hurt him. Or he can trick us into helping him possess Mark. 

Ahhhh, and most of all, when Darkiplier says, “go back to sleep”, I think it’s ironic because it’s 1:35 AM here and I can’t sleep! Thanks Dark, now I’ll lose my beauty sleep.

So... I want to talk about Dark, and the genius behind him.

First thing’s first:

Dark is an asshole.

He’s manipulative and dismissive. the moment you are of no use to him, he will not hesitate to abandon you. He is not the good guy… but he’s not 100% evil either.

Dark was “born” from love; the love of friends and family to try and protect one another (from how i see Damien and Celine’s offer in WKM) and they took advantage of someone who was in pain at that moment. They took someone else’s anger and used it to benefit themselves, even if they wanted to find a way to get back at Asshole Mark.

We saw how they changed and evolved into the Dark we know today. All that hatered and anger morphed Dark into who we see… and DAMIEN showed us excatly why.

They just wanted to fix everything… but in doing so, they changed who they are. Celine went to rest, and Damien took control… but whatever he did to return to “reality” or whatever… it diid excatly what Celine said it would do; it changed him.

THIS:

This is not our Damien anymore… this isn’t our Mayor.

This is the true begginings of Dark.

This is where the hate and anger took it’s first steps in the world with the sole promise of making sure Mark stayed dead… even if it wasn’t their Mark.

And anyone who stood in Dark’s way?

Well… they had to be dealt with, didn’t they?

Celine used us, the DA, because we were expendable, and i’m sure Dark sees others that way as well… all in the name of vengeance.

Mark wanted a villain… and he got one.

He got one who’s willing to hunt him down time and time again.

He got one that’s willing to lie and manipulate anyone that’s standing between them and he does. not. care.

He got the villain willing to tear time and space apart.. the one who can defy the laws of reality if it means getting what he wants.

All he really wants is to make sure Mark goes down and stays down.

THIS.

This is the origins of our Dark… and in the events of “DAMIEN”… he’s just getting started.

Am I the only one who noticed

1. Anti is back 2. Mark is working on a "special project" 3. In Sara is missing Mark had one word at the end of his glitchy video "Jackseptceye" So what am I saying you might ask? Well several people are making theories on what Mark's "special video" so I decided to make my own. Did anyone even stop to think that MAYBE Anti and Dark are going to work together? Mark is wearing a suit and ends up in jail in his pictures, he also is wearing eyeliner. These are all things from the fan base of Darkiplier. Pictures of him in a suit are the most edited to look like Dark, in most edits and drawings he's wearing eyeliner, and if he is Darkiplier, of course he would end up in jail. Anti has also come back as seen in most of Jack's "Detention" videos. Maybe these two are working together on Marks big "secret project"? We'll have to wait until Valentines day.
