I'm working on updating some of the 'extra pages' and I'm starting to become amazed at how quickly some of the relationships progressed.
Honey Harman and Scott Burnett:
They met in Episode 278 when Scott's wife was murdered.
They slept together for the first time 282 just a couple of episodes after Scott's wife's body was found. (She didn't dump Steve Hunter until episode 283...!)
They got engaged in episode 291.
The wedding was episode 307!
29 episodes from first meeting!
Dave Quinnan and Jenny Delaney
Whilst Dave and Jenny had a longer period from the first meeting, given that y'know... Dave was unconscious [2nd March 99/Badlands], they didn't hold back!
Dave found out George and Jenny were dating on 22nd April/Look Away Now.
They realised they wanted each other in Pillow Talk/6th July when Dave was on an overnight guard job at St Hughes.
George wanted to propose to Jenny in the next episode 8th July/Heavy Plant Crossing (he's another fast mover, but I haven't included it because Jenny clearly doesn't feel the same and it's more plot device than actual romance) but Jenny postpones and won't let him know how she really feels. Jenny and Dave get it ooooon and Jenny escapes to Colombia as part of an earthquake clean-up crew.
George goes to propose properly on the 12th October in Love And War part 1 because Jenny is finally returning from Colombia. He sees Dave and Jenny together and part 2 continues with the chaos and George leaving.
18th November/Security is Dave trying to find time to propose whilst uniform gives Jenny the cold shoulder.
15th December/A Night To Forget - Dave's stag night and Jenny's hen night.
16th December/A Day To Remember - the wedding.
So whilst it is officially 70 episodes from the first meeting, if we go from their affair starting, it is only 42. If we go from 'Love And War' when they were actually 'together' without George's interference, then it is 19 episodes from a proper relationship without the complicated stuff and wedding!
Our final couple beat everyone hands down!
Jim Carver and Marie Graham.
Marie and Jim end up in bed on their first meeting, Episode 099.
Jim tries to put distance between them in episode 100, but he's still her FLO after the death of her daughter.
They have a slightly rocky relationship from episode 101 to 112 when Marie proposes to Jim.
Jim accepts in 113 (with June thinking that he's going to propose to her after her 'break' in episode 115).
Jim and Marie get married in 119!
20 episodes from meeting each other, and 18 episodes from actually getting together!

DEAKIN: Rod! I’m on stage!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A completely over-the-top farce, which is exactly what an episode about a Sun Hill panto should be. Everyone is brilliantly IC, too, from Derek & Jack getting drunk together then arguing on stage, to Rod thinking he’s too cool for the whole thing until he gets cast and decides he’s the next Laurence Olivier.

Adam Ackland, SunnyMarch owner, grifter, embezzler, mindless thug, and wannabe pimp is on the lookout for a new Mark, to make money for him and his dangerous backers. Must be a young actor, and currently popular, to make sure you bring in enough cash. Bonus points for any up and coming Queer actors, as Ackland would be able to pimp you to the highest bidder. For References, please call Sophie Hunter's underwear.

Hard Man Cuffed
“You know you’ve made these cuffs too tight, don’t you, ma’am?” asked Dawson, the underlying menace of his tone belying the respectful words he chose to adresss his policewoman captor. June looked up from the pile of assorted junk she was searching on the floor of the man’s flat. An involuntary shudder passed through her as she looked into her prisoner’s scowling face. Dawson was a “hard man” which made June very pleased indeed that he was securely bound behind his back.
“Did I?” she replied innocently, knowing darn well that once Dawson had unexpectedly surrendered to her, she wasn’t going to allow him to change his mind and start swinging. She had indeed made his cuffs exceptionally tight. “Still, I’m sure a big man like you can handle a little discomfort, Mark.”
Dawson scowled again. “Yes, ma’am,” he replied, unable to keep the bitterness out of his voice.

Let me get this straight...
The Haters are now saying they think Adam Ackland, David Birken, (and maybe others) conspired to have BC abducted in South Africa (part of his torture and "programming").
This incident (which Aeltri has hinted in the past that she doubted it ever took place) happened in 2004 when filming To the Ends of the Earth in South Africa. But BC didn't even know Adam Ackland until he met him on the set of The Last Enemy in 2007! And Denise Black and Theo Lande also were terrorized that day (Denise Black fully corroborated the story) so were they supposed to be "in" on the "plot"?? All three of them decided to go scuba diving.
And I guess Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss were ALSO in on this because they "re-traumatized" BC years later just to keep him in line - so the Haters say!
But wait! Wasn't it Gatiss who supposedly kicked Sophie off the set of Sherlock?? I remember the Haters making a HUGE deal about that! Why would he do that if he was in on the plot???
Another "180" that the Haters have NEVER explained is Wanda. She was supposed to HATE Sophie way back when the Haters thought she was on their side! The Haters went on and on about her disdain for Sophie for YEARS, but now Wanda is the culprit who pimped BC out as a child to the Freemasons! That's quite a reversal!
And Adam Ackland was supposed to have held an "intervention" in China to save BC from evil Sophie making him into a drug addict, but now... he's one of THE worst enemies of BC!
The Haters are just ALL OVER THE MAP with this narrative!
And now Sophie et al are paying minions to harass BC in Tokyo?!? To show him how terrible it would be if fans thought he was "single"?? But, but, but... NO FANS THINK BC IS "SINGLE" - except the Haters! FFS, he was wearing his wedding ring all through the convention! And he just appeared with his wife at LL!
Tumblr media
Unbelievably stupid Hater narrative!
They reeeeeeally reek of desperation!

A Tumblr Community for The Bill...?
Is there any interest in creating a community for fans of The Bill to discuss and have more opportunities to interact/chat about the show almost like a forum from what it sounds like?
If you'd be interested, please like/comment/reblog this post to show your potential interest so we can all see if it would be worth attempting to create one or not.
Tumblr is beta testing a new 'community' idea [apparently not available to all as yet but should appear for most] that it says is:
Communities is a new feature in development, currently in beta testing. Our hope is to empower everyone on Tumblr to create new, dedicated spaces to connect with people over shared interests. It’s a bit like using tags but more contained, it’s a bit like having a shared blog but with more options, and it’s a bit like a group chat except it’s slower. Access to communities is not yet out to all users, and currently has incomplete support across the Tumblr mobile apps
Labs blog post
Help page post/more information
It's still in testing mode and they're asking for feedback. They state it can be a private group or more open access.
Public communities can be seen and visited by non-members, logged in or logged out. However, only the feed of posts in each community tab, and the About page, are accessible. Non-members cannot view the member list, see who reacted with what, or see community comments. Non-members with an invite can see everything a member can see, but cannot interact with anything until they accept the invitation.
Private communities cannot be seen or visited by non-members at all. The existence of a private community is not hidden, however, if someone has the URL (they’ll see a message like “this is a private community”). Non-members with an invite can see everything a member can see, but cannot interact with anything until they accept the invitation.
I wrote a tag list of every member of the cast including notable long running guests. It took FOREVER. And this is what Tumblr cuts it down to. FGS.

After reckless young lawyer Gordon Bombay gets arrested for drunk driving, he must coach a kids hockey team for his community service. Gordon has experience on the ice, but isn’t eager to return to hockey, a point hit home by his tense dealings with his own former coach, Jack Reilly. The reluctant Gordon eventually grows to appreciate his team, which includes promising young Charlie Conway, and leads them to take on Reilly’s tough players. Credits: TheMovieDb. I enjoyed it, in short. Satisfying sports story, a solid message, decent humour and a serviceable cast. Emilio Estevez is fine in the role of Gordon, he’s definitely the best actor on display here. The numerous child actors are all alright, Shaun Weiss (Goldberg) is the one who stands out in my memory most. A nice little film about a local, youth ice hockey team, one for the family.

ACKLAND: I’ve lost everything. I’ve lost my home, lost all my belongings. And if I accept a transfer from Sun Hill, then I lose all of that too, and all because of this bastard? No! I won’t be a victim!
A bit of a marking time episode, but some great June moments and Jim really not helping by mentioning Gordon Wray.
