Tempted to add an extra tag of "Armand de Romanus" to any post including Armand just to enjoy witnessing certain people clutching their pearls so hard they could fit right in at a 50s Utah potluck.

I'm a petty person,what can I say.

Marius is such an effective villain, in my opinion, because he portrays himself as such a saint. Meeting him, one would never assume he's done the things he has. He explains away every terrible act by convincing himself it's for the greater good. He's incredibly polite and hospitable. He seems like a genuine, nice guy to most.

I think this is extremely prevalent regarding his relationship with Armand throughout the series.

He manipulates Daniel into staying in his care to get him away from Armand, but says he's doing so because Daniel "needs him."

He turns both of Armands human companions to make Armand more dependent on him, but says he did so because "Armand secretly wanted it, but was too scared to act on his want."

(Doesn't seem like a guy who wanted his friends turned to me.)

Not to mention, he groomed Armand into being his perfect vampire bride. I mean, this guy's terrifying.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤!

From August 24 to August 31, the de Romanus coven will celebrate the character of Marius de Romanus with an event.

-This year the event will be organized in three days aimed at aphorisms of famous painters and the cue given by their picturesque works, while, other three days will feature a prompt dedicated to the thoughts of the great minds of the Greek and Roman past and proverbs taken from Druid culture.

-The seventh day will be devoted to the painting of Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema, who dedicated his art to the ancient world and especially ancient Rome. His paintings will be accompanied by an aphorism from Ovid and an aphorism from Pasolini, both dedicated to time passing, remembrance, and loneliness.

-The eighth day will be dedicated to the DOMINUS prompt, which we decided to keep from last year's event.

We have tried to encapsulate the essence of Marius' character, gathering cues from all that is most loved about him, and cherished things about his character.

As always, the days will be divided into two prompts to choose from; everyone can choose to tackle one or both. We kindly ask for respect for the character of Marius and especially for Anne Rice. This event is for those who want to share, and create positive content with love for a character they hold dear. Thank you in advance to all who will participate and share their love for Marius.

-All types of work will be accepted, fanart, fanfiction, moodboard, aesthetic, poetry, photos, collage, etc….

-All work should be tagged with de romanus coven event, please, so that it can be easily reblogged in the coven. If you happen to notice that your work has not been reblogged, please contact us right away, thank you, so we can add it to the event.

-If you are late in posting the prompt on the day for which you prepared it no problem, post the work anyway, we will be happy to receive it even outside the day of the prompts for which it was created.

Marius Appreciation Week Day 5: "Ode to Botticelli"

I made this years ago based off the Botticelli painting "Birth of Venus," and when I saw that one of the prompts today was "Ode to Botticelli," I knew I just had to drag it out of mothballs again.

It's a very Botticelli take on the "birth" of Amadeo, specifically the moment when he emerged from the ocean after cleaning up, and Marius ran to him with a cloak.

Prompt: The Spring (S. Botticelli)

Spring is always a reincarnation but also the time when we tend to notice beauty around us more then ever. This is a little ode that (I believe) would born in Amadeo’s soul when he saw the world with his new vision that being gifted by his Master. The city of art, youth and especially for him, city of new hope, he’s in love with Marius and Venice.

The lover, demiurg, the crowned by centuries city,

Urania's heavenly spell and blood of saints church.

More beautiful then love is only one that we can't knew as mortal,

The God and Devil of the land of wonders discover her for me.

The past is gone, the dream, the sleep of soul now is stopped,

Prodigious Eden light was pouring in my eyes.

By Master's hands was resurrected to the life, forever.
