Auf der Hallig wartet ein Restaurant mit Salzwiesenlamm und Fischteller auf unseren letzten Reiseabend. Mit dem Rad vier Kilometer über den Damm, immer feste durch die Schafsscheisse.

Fiete darf heute Abend auch mit, das teilt er jedem Schaf mit, dem er begegnet.

Am Donnerstag Morgen sagt das Navi, dass die A7 bei Hamburg ein einziger Stau sei. Wir nehmen die Fähre. Das ist keine Zeitersparnis, 1,5 Stunden warten in Glückstadt und auf der Westseite zwei Stunden über treckergeschwängertes Land. Aber: entspanntes Fahren und ne Bockwurst auf der Fähre, das ist doch was. 17.30 Uhr Ankunft in Bremen nach 78 Tagen Reisezeit.

Der teuerste Campingplatz

im Verhältnis zu den Leistungen war auf Saarema: 35 Euro pro Nacht. Für ca 50 Gäste gab es einen Holzverschlag mit einer Toilette und einer Dusche in einem Raum. Im Café kostete ein Aperol Spritz 18 Euro.

Dumm gelaufen:

- Angelas extra für die Reise gekaufte Regenjacke von Fjällräven war völlig überfordert. Ein kleiner Regen in Kaunas und die Frau war durchnässt.

- Auf einem Golfplatz landeten alle Bälle im Wasser, wieder gut, dass Angela noch geklaute Bälle von der Übungsrange dabei hatte.

- Nicht bedacht, dass in Polen Fronleichnam ein Feiertag ist, der Campingplatz bei Danzig war komplett ausgebucht.

- Angela hatte in Mariestad einen Tag Durchfall. Waren es die selbstgepflückten Pilze oder die alte Knoblauchbutter?

- Ein wunderschöner Campingplatz in Mittelfinnland, direkt am See, alle Plätze frei. Leider stand der Platz nach drei Regentagen komplett unter Wasser.

- Unsere Rosmarin-, Thymian- und Salbeipflanzen wachsen in Finnland weiter, die Wanne samt Pflanzen hatten wir draussen vergessen.

Kulinarisches:

- Ein Tipp von Gareth zur Geschmacksverstärkung von Saucen: trockene Zwiebel- und Knoblauchschalen, getrocknete Pilze und etwas Salz zu einem Pulver zerkleinern und untermischen.

- Salmiakki-Likör selber machen: Türkischen Pfeffer in 0,5 Liter Wodka auflösen. Zwei Wochen warten und fertig ist der Likör.

- Im guten Feinkostladen zu kriegen: Aioli mit Trüffel oder mit Limette.

- Miesmuscheln in Sahne und Weißwein mit Limettenstücken, Knofischeiben, Thymian, Chilistücken und grünem Pesto. Gegessen in Skagen.

- In Tallinn gabs grünen Salat mit Kirschtomaten, Sprossen, warmem geräuchertem Forellenfilet und Himbeersalatsauce.

- Nochmal Tallinn: grüner Spargel mit Sauce Hollandaise , gerösteten Haselnüssen, Haselnussöl, eingekochter Creme Balsamico.

- zwei Gläser Minisprotten in Öl sind in Bremen angekommen, ist Hans aber schwergefallen. Nun sind sie fällig.

- Die finnischen Erdbeeren sind oberlekker, aber die selbstgepflückten Erd-, Him- und Blaubeeren sind nicht zu toppen.
