I noticed Taylor does have grammatical errors a lot, and one learned scholar at a major university agreed with the person who brought something that it had an error. In fact you don’t have to be a learned scholar to know. A high school or even a secondary teacher could say the same. Another time someone took the poem from the rep magazine and a poetry professor didn’t act too impressed. He just said it read like she was going to sing it.

The poetry books from all these popstars are just god-awful.

Taylor Swift has a terrible attempt at real poetry, beside this latest album. Halsey. Florence Welch. Lili Reinhart. Meagan Fox. Lana Del Rey.

(ETC). None of them understand grammar, and none of them have good poetry. It's almost like people need to first understand the language before they can play around with it. I used to have a job in a library and would visibly cringe putting these pitiful attempts at poetry back on the shelves.

I wish people would read more poetry and study English before writing poems :(

Future blue lion’s children making deal with Sothis to change the past before the TWSITD give the final strike to Faerghus.

Future crown prince taking the moniker Loog and working with his multiple siblings and other blue lion’s future children behind the scenes with the might of a TOKT speed runner to defeat Thales.

The plan was going back home after TWSITD was defeated permanently.

But after Thales is killed for good and they are patting each other in the back preparing to go back to their reality, they realize that they have bigger problems because while all the other blue lion’s parents are already planning their weddings and engagements Dimitri still has a middle schooler level of rizz.

(Dimileth children who are still masquerading as another regular family of mercenaries in the Faerghus camp watching King Dimitri pathetically pine over the ashen demon while she devours 12 steaks by herself.)

Twins - Rhys (bishop) scholar/healer, doesn't understand why everyone is always training, maids find him asleep in the library, and Rhiannon (used royal clout to get certified as a female war master) weapon fanatic, always looking for a fight, kicked Felix in the balls to win a fight once (he was proud)

Ellis (El) - has never done anything wrong in his life, his feet have never touched the ground, accidentally followed his siblings into the portal and now Jeralt and Seteth argue over who gets to carry him around Jeralt: he's my grandson! Seteth: your daughter is feral, I raised a damn saint!)

OOOOOO this one's fun!! Assume that all of these are platonic because I'm not a big fan of selfshipping.

Seteth - Our support line would be about art and literature and the paired ending would be me staying in thd church and helping Seteth make children's books.

Rhea (shhh I know she only has supports with Byleth) - honestly it'd just be Rhea convincing me to stay with the church for life and become a nun. In this paired ending, there would be subtle hints that I am for some reason unhappy.

Ignatz - we talk about art for 20 hours then live together in some tiny village and make art together forever.

Lorenz - I'd like to think I'd just call him an annoying bitch, then after the timeskip he'd offer me a job as his court painter or something lol.

Lysithea - we ping pong back and forth infodumping about magic and children's books we like. Paired ending where we just become besties.

Leonie - Leonie would somehow convince me to become a mercenary with her. I think she could do it.

Marianne - we'd just have a B support and exchange weird ass family histories.

I'd be an artist from Farghus who decided to become a knight of Seiros for no particular reason. In some supports, it'd be revealed that I did it because I felt lost and unsure of what to do in life and hoped that spending time in service as someone as important as Rhea would be fulfilling, but it wasn't. I'd be part of Garreg Mach staff.

God I absolutely loved this show. I bought another ticket for tonight after seeing it yesterday because I wanted to spend more time with it. What a good note to end Sondheim's career on.

All of my thoughts here may have spoilers for HWA but are probably incomprehensible without seeing it anyway

I went bananas for Anyone Can Whistle this past month, and this show has really similar vibes, of broad characters doing absurd farcical things in an unreal setting. It really really scratched that itch for me.

The music is playful and fun, and Sondheim expressed anxiety that his work was sounding derivative to him but I think this all felt very fresh. I'm excited for the cast album

There's also more music than I expected, and I wouldn't have noticed when we stopped getting songs if I didn't already know about it. In this show, the songs happen as artifice and the later moments of breakdown and truth are done without it. Did they intend to subvert the traditional musical theatre trope of song as big emotional truth telling? Maybe! The book scenes are really good regardless so I wasn't missing the music.

i like that we don't get a lot of Marianne's interiority, like she as a character is allowed to keep secrets from us. From the song about superficiality to her last lines like "she finally remembered the thing she had to do. And she didn't tell anybody, she just did it." Rachel Bay Jones did a wonderful job with her

Stella Junior sat down alone at the rectangle mobile maple cafeteria table with stools. The cafeteria foods here is not what she expects. Stella Junior looks at the hamburger she has received from the cafeteria droid. The burger has two slices of beefsteak tomatoes, one iceberg lettuce leaf, cheddar cheese slice, and a well done ground sirloin within the sesame seed burger buns. Just as Stella Junior is about to take her first bite of the hamburger, she stops in her track as she saw her godmother’s niece, Marianne giving Hannibal a hard time, who is just doing his assignment: Supervising the Second Summer Campers. At the same time, Stella Junior noticed a reptile in one of her campmate’s hair. Is that a chameleon?

Stella Junior decides to not focus on that and instead looks at Marianne and Hannibal. Oh great, just what are they talking about this time? Perhaps Marianne is trying to tell the Bishop Counsellor to either be nice to her (She does not need any treatment!) or they are not getting along again (well Hannibal is a dark mage after all). Stella Junior notices that Hannibal is just standing there, looking at her. No emotions in sight. Suddenly, she saw Sandra joins in on the conversation, causing Marianne to give Sandra her full attention. It is probably something important. That is a relief. Stella Junior then resume to eating her hamburger. As she takes a bite of the burger, she notice that she is tasting only the vegetables and cheese inside the buns. Where is the burger patty? Stella Junior looks down to see her olive green coloured jean is stained with grease, thanks to the burger patty.

“My jeans! Ugh!”

Stella Junior let out a sigh, and have the burger patty and the grease magically disappear using her Fairies’ Magic. She grumbles because now her lunchtime is ruined. She needs to get a new hamburger to eat now.

Turns out I’m not going to shut up about Here We Are for a while, actually. I wish I could have seen it live, but these are my thoughts so far, just from listening to the cast recording and very briefly skimming the audio bootleg:

I get the bad reviews. I do. But I would LOVE. To be in this show. This is, unlike Into the Woods (which is just amazing), an actor’s show and less of an audience show. Granted, I love surrealism and I love Sondheim, so it is a ME audience show.

Fritz is a dream role, and I haven’t even heard all of her dialogue. (I’m a contralto, but I would work so hard to be Fritz.)

I forget Paul is there most of the time UNTIL HIS LINE IN THE SOLIDER’S DREAM WHEN HE SAYS HE FORGOT HIS LINES THAT GIVES ME CHILLS

The music is less… music-y. Which I get, because Sondheim died (RIP), but I think it just adds to the unsettling feeling of the whole thing.

Bobby Cannavale DID things with this and I am HERE FOR IT.

THE WAITER/ INFERNO IS GUITEAU IN ASSASSINS AND I LOVE HIM (Guiteau is my favorite in Assassins and the Waiter’s Song is my favorite song.)

Marianne just… ugh. I love her.

Snow is beautiful. I’m using the Bishop’s monologue as audition material. (And he just loves the shoes!)

I have been so bad at posting on here consistently but I took these pictures while visiting my cousin in Philly this weekend and they were too pretty to not share!! If any of you are in the area and like old books, I highly recommend touring the Rosenbach Museum and Library. Full of old books, from Cicero to Cervantes to Lewis Carroll to Dickinson to Joyce. The second picture is a recreation of Marianne Moore’s living room. She was the editor of the Dial, a poet in her own right, and a friend and mentor to many literary figures of the 20th century, like Elizabeth Bishop and Allen Ginsberg.
