DEMO (prologue / 11th of January 2025) || An IF based on & inspired by the show "Arcane". Time Fall is a drama interactive fiction story with steampunk & cyberpunk elements, set in the dual state-cities of Delphora and Draeken, also known as The Spire and The Depths. It's meant to follow complicated relationships, complicated choices, and complicated consequences. It is written with an 18+ audience in mind due to heavy themes and topics such as death, use of drugs and alcohol, swearing, violence, (optional & skippable) explicit sexual content etc.
Tumblr media
Time does not wait for anyone, even for the one that controls it.
After the bloody aftermath of Draeken's rebellion against Delphora, you're left an orphan. Your mother lies dead beneath a pile of bodies, crushed under the boots of the Time Watchers, and your older brother, Mylo, is nowhere to be found. Bruised and scared, you're taken in by Marek, your mother's friend, together with a few other strays he managed to catch hiding in the shadows of the night.
As Marek tends to your wounds and wipes away your tears, the Council of the Eternals, forever holed up in their lavish upper city, is falling apart. They are in complete mayhem and disarray as, unbeknownst to you, one of the five time shards that keep the heart of the city—the Clocktower—working in tune with time's balance has been stolen.
Oddly enough, that lost shard looks suspiciously similar to the strange shiny stone your mother gave you and your brother right before the doomed uprising. With it gone, the flow of time grows slippery and erratic, as the Clocktower starts to decay without its missing piece.
Life in the undercity of Draeken, also known as The Depths, is brutal enough. But when an ill-fated encounter leaves you forever altered—your blood itself changed—you’ll soon realize that time is strange, and the thin fabric of reality a fickle thing. Even more so when it’s something you can no longer just witness ... but may be forced to control.

Maddox / Maxine (M/F) - Rough around the edges and with a body built for combat, M's very demeanour and appearance reflects years of hard living together with you in Draeken. Taken in by Marek after the failed uprising, M had grown overbearingly protective of you on the very first night of sharing a bed with each other as kids. Now, all grown up, M fights in Marek's underground fighting pit to earn their keep, but with every bloodied knuckle, their anger grows—anger at the scraps their people are handed by Delphora’s elite. In the heart of the bustling city, Andrea and Marek, best friends since childhood, found themselves on a journey that would forever alter their destinies. It began innocently enough, with Andrea joining a local gym to get fit. Little did he know, it was a gateway to a world of pleasure and transformation.
Under the guidance of a mysterious trainer, Andrea was pushed to his limits, both physically and mentally. But with each grueling session, he felt himself changing, not just in body, but in desires too. Slowly but surely, he found himself drawn to the sleek, enticing embrace of rubber, his wardrobe evolving to reflect his newfound obsession.
As days turned into weeks, Andrea's transformation became more pronounced. His once hesitant curiosity blossomed into a full-blown passion, his preferences shifting until he found himself exclusively drawn to men. And in the intoxicating world of rubber, he discovered a newfound sense of liberation and ecstasy that he had never known before.
But it wasn't until six months later that Andrea realized the true extent of his destiny. In order to become the perfect rubber-clad muscle man, he needed to bring someone else into the fold. And who better than his best friend, Marek?
With a mixture of excitement and trepidation, Andrea approached Marek, laying bare his desires and his newfound allegiance to the rubber society. To his surprise, Marek listened intently, his curiosity piqued by the allure of this new world that Andrea had unveiled.
And so, together they embarked on a journey of exploration and discovery, their bond stronger than ever as they delved deeper into the seductive world of rubber and pleasure. For Andrea, it was a realization of his true purpose, a path that would lead him to heights of ecstasy he had never dared to imagine. And with Marek by his side, he knew that anything was possible.

Do you have any ideas as to why a 1-year old hen would just…stop laying eggs? My Easter Egger, Plum, laid eggs normally her first summer/fall, then stopped laying over her first winter and just never started again. Since she’s my only blue-egg layer there’s no way I’d mix her eggs up with my other hens’ eggs. And they don’t free-range anymore so she’s not laying them in the woods or something. She looks and acts healthy and normal, so I haven’t consulted a vet. And I’m fine just keeping her as a pet even if she doesn’t lay, she’s a cute little bird and is closely bonded to one of my faverolles so she’s got a forever home here even if she never lays again. I’m just curious, if you know of any health conditions that might cause a hen to stop laying permanently. Thanks!
Tumblr media
She looks nice and red in the face so I'm surprised she isn't laying.
Is it possible her eggs were a very light colored egg when she began laying? As hens get older they actually tend to stop putting as much pigment on their eggs so its possible she now lays a cream or white colored egg despite genetically laying a blue or green. She could also be an egg eater. A good way to see is to put a lot of food coloring or livestock chalk on her vent, if she lays an egg you will know, and if she eats that eggs the food coloring will show up on her face.
If she doesn't have a heavy parasite load it's possibly the feed doesn't have the right balance for her.
Stress and lack of light can also stop egg laying. If she is stressed out in the coop or a hanging out in a shaded part of the run that can negatively affect her egg laying.
Some hens are also "early molters" pick your hen up and see if she has ANY pin feathers on her body especially on her neck area. If she does I bet she is just a bad molter and will begin laying again in the spring. In production flocks these are hens who get culled first in their first year because they take a very long time to get production ready again. I'm talking 5-6+ months before they start laying again. (I personally think it might be this)
Another thing to consider, she might have Mareks since I believe you had a positive bird in your flock once. Mareks can negatively affect egg laying even if the hen is healthy otherwise. This doesn't necessarily mean she is sick or has tumors its just the virus is affecting her body in a way that prevents egg laying.
Hopefully this points you in a direction that is helpful in finding out why she has poor production. She is a bird that is known for high production so its a good thing to be questioning why she isn't.

Precluding Resistance
Perhaps more than anything else, the physical conditions of the Lagers played a role in the suppression of defiance. An explication of this sort could be long and brutal, but suffice it to say that being kept forever on the brink of starvation, worked beyond the capacities of the human body, exposed daily to wanton acts of cruelty, subjected to year-round elemental onslaught, and being perpetually enveloped in pestilence and disease, has the capacity to turn human bodies into emaciated shells devoid of will power or physical strength. Throughout survivor testimonies, starvation is the most frequently cited obstacle to resistance. One survivor of the Warsaw ghetto, Marek Edelman, annoyed with perpetual questions about the passivity of those who boarded trains bound for death camps, explained to his interviewer: “Listen... do you have any idea what bread meant at the time in the Ghetto? Because if you don’t, you will never understand how thousands of people could voluntarily come for the bread and go on to the camp at Treblinka. Nobody has understood thus far.”[37] Vera Laska, a survivor of Auschwitz and editor of Women in the Resistance and in the Holocaust, reflects on the significance of bread in the camps:
I have seen with my own eyes in Auschwitz an SS man enter the barracks of 1,450 women, throw chunks of bread into their midst and then step back in a fit of laughter as hundreds of women pushed and shoved, clawed and fought for the crumbs. Within minutes, three women were trampled to death and dozens injured.[38]
Though we may recoil learning about situations like this, most of us will never really know what it feels like to be so systematically deprived of food; thus our exploration of this topic must always be guided by the deepest humility for the hunger that we can read about but never truly know.
Another central aspect of the camps that devastated potential for resistance was the Nazi strategy of cultivating social alienation, intended “to reduce all inmates to monads.”[39] By creating conditions that demanded brute self-interest, where groups and individuals were pitted against each other for scraps of privilege, where the pain of isolation was preferable to the weight of empathy, the Nazis were able to preclude the capacity for solidarity, and thus the capacity for much resistance. One of the primary tools in this endeavor was a deeply divisive social structure that pitted inmates against each other. Upon entry into the camps, inmates were put into an identity category demarcated by a colored triangle (“winkel”), that would henceforth impact every moment of their existence. Criminal prisoners (mainly Germans) wore green winkels, political prisoners (e.g. communists, anarchists, etc.) wore red, Jehovah’s Witnesses wore violet, male homosexuals wore pink, “anti-socials” (e.g. Romas, mentally ill, lesbians, etc.) wore black, and Jews wore the dreaded yellow star.[40] These triangles were sometimes elaborated by marked letters indicating a person’s country of origin, which also had deep implications for how one would be treated in the camp. The arbitrary organization of these identity categories into a violently enforced hierarchy defined social life in the Lagers, and served to undermine solidarity between inmates. Hannah Arendt observed that in the camps, “the gruesome and grotesque part of it was that the inmates identified themselves with these categories, as though they represented a last authentic remnant of their juridical person.”[41] Because these identity categories came to be so internalized and cherished by the inmates, connections between inmates were inherently governed by Nazi strategy.
The differential treatment of these artificial groupings created deep fissures between prisoners. “Greens” were often tasked with running the camps as Senior Inmates (responsible for the operation of a particular section of the camp) and Capos (heads of labour crews).[42] Because an ordinary prisoner was “completely at the mercy of his Capo and senior block inmate”, the character traits of these functionaries often determined one’s chances for both survival and resistance.[43] Beneath these in the hierarchy were other “prominent” positions that offered opportunities for non-lethal labor, extra food rations, or other privileges. Competition for prominent positions was fierce (literally life or death), and such assignments could only be kept by appeasing the SS officers who appointed them. Those who attained prominent positions held them tenaciously, which under the gaze of Nazi officers tended to evoke a certain level of sadism. Overall, the internal hierarchy of the camp fostered an atmosphere of brutal mistrust, competition, and resentment. New-comers were usually met with outright hostility by fellow inmates, alongside the physical and verbal abuse of the guards.[44] Primo Levi describes how debilitating his first encounter with this atmosphere of prisoner hostility was: “This brusque revelation, which became manifest from the very first hours of imprisonment... was so harsh as to cause the immediate collapse of one’s capacity to resist.”[45]
While some echelons of this social hierarchy had hopes of survival and/or upward mobility, others had none. Across the entire system of camps it was universally true that Jews held the lowest rung. For them there were generally no prominent positions available or privileges to be earned; for them there was only death and the hostility and resentment of those around them for the space they occupied, the food they consumed, and the hopelessness they represented.[46] As Joseph Garlinski describes the Jews’ situation in Auschwitz, their horrid and short lives within the camps combined with their multilingual, multinational makeup as a group, “limited any possibility of clandestine work among [them] and decreased the chances of their forming a strong underground group in the camp.”[47] Russians generally occupied the second lowest rung of the camp, and in situations where they weren’t immediately killed, were rarely able to gain prominent positions or form lasting networks.[48] Men marked with a pink triangle were often the subject of sexual violence, and thus occupied their own unique and vicious echelon of the camp hierarchy — to even speak with a “pink” was a risky affair, which meant they faced an added layer of isolation.[49] Thus we can begin to see that enormous disparity existed in the privilege of different inmates, and had substantial implications for the capacity and willingness of different prisoners to resist.
These assaults on the body and mind were combined with a relentless war on the spirit; demoralization was a daily responsibility of the Capos and the SS, who used humiliation, misinformation, and extreme isolation to obliterate any sense of agency. The Nazis intentionally crafted a universe that was severed from the rest of the world and that was deeply shrouded in the myth of the Thousand-Year Reich. To even speak about the war in some camps was a grievous crime, and so Nazi propaganda about the “blitzkrieg” (lightning-fast war) reigned supreme.[50] Inmates had no reliable reason to believe that anyone knew where they were, that anyone was coming to help, or that anyone would ever find out what had happened to them in these terrible places. (We should always remember the Nazis in fact came astonishingly close to covering up many aspects of their extermination project, and it is only because of the committed work of rebellious inmates that the world learned details of what transpired in the camps.[51] Organizers quickly learned that “people are more likely to transcend themselves if they know that the public will be informed of their actions”, and as a result, establishing lines of communication with the outside world was often a central priority.[52]
Lastly, daily life within the camps was intended to overwhelm and disempower the inmates with cruel, often bizarre and inscrutable laws and practices. Primo Levi informs us that the rules governing life in the camps were “infinite and senseless,” in addition to the guidelines around work, which were themselves “a Gordian knot of laws, taboos, and problems.”[53] These irrational elements of Nazi control created an environment in which, as one German guard explained to Levi: “hier ist kein warum” — there is no why here.[54] This was a universe in which the SS would often provide costly health care to one of their torture victims only to send them to the gas chambers upon recovery, and in which workers would be ordered to carry bricks up stairs in an assembly line and then jump out of a window to gather more bricks (whoever broke bones would be hospitalized, healed, and then sent to the gas chambers).[55] This was a universe in which the number of buttons on one’s jacket must always be five, beds (made mostly of wood and lice) had to be perfectly made every morning, and in which one’s capacity to choose an appropriately fitting wooden shoe at an “eye’s glance” might determine chances for another day of survival.[56] The innumerable strange and contradictory aspects of camp life reinforced the absoluteness of Nazi control, and further obliterated the agency and morale of the inmates.

I've been doing a timeline of Tim, Mark and Alex's early years because I'm mentally ill and found this pilot Mark wrote in 2007.
Here's the summary:
Martin (Tom Basden) is an out-of-work actor. He moves in with his younger brother Craig (Tom Price), a loaded advertising exec, and his girlfriend, in their swanky flat in Manchester. They are both lovely people but, as Martin discovers, they make a nightmare couple to share with!
Craig shares his posh flat with girlfriend Millie (Abigail Burdess) and they're hopelessly in love, while Martin is hopeless with women and has no money. Craig and Millie seem the perfect couple, forever making up silly songs and fighting only to make-up with exuberant sex. Millie is trying her hand at life-coaching and decides to help Martin by match-making him with her neurotic client, Antonia.
To fund his creative ambitions, Martin works at a call centre with frumpy Lyn (Sara Crowe) and nerdy Hugo (Marek Larwood). Lyn fancies Martin, while Hugo fancies himself as the most efficient employee on the planet.
I don't want to make everything about Tim, but around this time Tim was an out of work actor with no money who moved in with his brother and his wife, who were doing very well for themselves. Hmmmm.
Funnily enough I know this about him because of Tim being on Tom Price's podcast.
P.s. This is the worst name for a TV show I've ever seen

Spearfish South Dakota Wedding Celebratinos - Austin & Natalie's September 2024 Wedding
Love stories have a unique way of bringing people together, and Austin and Natalie's journey is no exception. On a warm September day in Spearfish, South Dakota, amidst the serene backdrop of The Barn at Aspen Acres, their love story reached its pinnacle. This charming wedding celebration, filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments, was made even more memorable by the musical magic spun by DJ Marek. Join us as we recount the magical day of Austin and Natalie's wedding celebration in the heart of the Black Hills.
The Barn at Aspen Acres: A Rustic Dream Come True
Nestled in the heart of Spearfish, The Barn at Aspen Acres is a rustic wedding venue that captures the essence of country charm. With its sprawling acres of greenery, towering pine trees, and the picturesque barn itself, it's a place where dreams of a rustic fairytale wedding come to life. The playlist was a harmonious mix of classic love songs, foot-tapping tunes, and crowd-pleasers that kept the guests on their feet all night long.
One of the highlights of the evening was Austin and Natalie's first dance as a married couple. Pumpkin Pitch Event: Sunset Volume 1: Sunrise
Tumblr media
Cover art by my co-writer @touloserlautrec
A huge thanks to @writeblrgarden for putting this event on! I've been loving seeing all the awesome pitches!
Joey sees the history of everything and everyone he touches as translucent blue ghosts acting out the past all around him. And this includes his own past, which is how Joey knows he wasn't born, he was made. Made and thrown away.
What he does doesn't know is that the people who made him, SolCorp, are actively working to find him and bring him "home." Neither party has any idea how much that will change them both forever.
Sunset is slow-burn serial of building tensions with a queer ensemble cast of people with unique superhuman powers that make their lives harder more than anything. If you love slow-burn romance, slow-burn action, intrigue, and a winding web of storylines, then stick around.
It's told in three arcs (Sunrise, High Noon, and Sunset) through a series of storylines that seem unconnected until they collide and collide with ramping action and conflict.
After over a decade of working on this WIP, Sunset is live now for Patrons and then one week later on Wattpad & AO3. My co-writer is creating "issue covers" for each installment like the one above and I'm super excited about that.
Details Genre: Slow-burn 18+ science-fantasy Format: serial release POV: third person, multiple POV Cast: Queer ensemble cast Stage: - Volume 1: Sunrise = complete. 116k words/250 pages Volume 2: High Noon = in beta. 307k words/683 pages Volume 3: Sunset = drafting. Currently 995 pages
Please comment or DM for taglist +/-
A sneak-peek of the first page of Sunset can be found here but here's another little snippet from the first issue:
Marek leaned over farther. “Have you heard anything?” “Like what?” Marek shrugged. “Has it definitely happened yet?” Louis shook his head, mouth tight. “No, I don’t think so.” “How will we know? I doubt there will be an announcement or something.” Marek couldn’t imagine getting a memo just letting them know Neptune had carried out a death sentence. Louis heaved an annoyed sigh and tilted his head conspiratorially. “We won’t be told formally, he’s an Icarus after all, but it’ll get around.” It was odd to hear a department head referred to as an Icarus, the name Sol gave to its agents who committed crimes against the company. Once you were dubbed Icarus, your name was taken from you, replaced with a number until you’d either been considered redeemed or… well, the former Venus was a prime example of what happened if the transgression was bad enough to warrant erasure. Your name would never be spoken again. “How did he get caught after so long?” he asked. “His Second--” “Enough of that,” Nancy’s voice interrupted. They looked up. The others had settled in and gone quiet. “Sorry, ma’am,” Marek said, switching to formalities in a setting like this. “You know I’m easily distracted.” Well, he could only be so formal. Nancy scowled. “No one’s fooled by your pretend incompetence.” “Maybe if you didn’t tell everyone...”
Content Warning List
Mind control/telepathy
Violence/gore
Guns/weapons
Death
Substance use/misuse (prescription and recreational)
Off-screen child death
Mention of off-screen child abuse and the concept of CSA (specifically talking about how CSA did not happen)
Mention of monsters
Nudity
Religion
Medical procedures
Patriarchy B.S. and railing against it
Questionable-to-problematic relationship dynamics (eventually)
I would be remiss if I didn't note that these are the warnings for Arc 1 but Sunset is a slow burn and it starts slow so please note that these themes will only intensify. Some CW for future arcs include explicit sexual content, monster violence/gore, homophobia, threat of sexual assault, and confinement.

Thething about Marek and Mei is they're so very attached that s3 feels like lethal to them . Mei leaving with no explanation after gaining the samadhi fire scares Marek half to death and makes him hysterical, she feels like Mei is just gone forever, which makes her more suspectible to LBD. Mei finding out Marek's soul was taken away by LBD from MK makes her doubt herself so much more- why did she have to be so weak and scared then? If she'd stayed would it have changed anything? Would she have been strong enough to keep Marek here, to keep him safe? They're insaneand I love them

Much to her delight, Amara was selected for the expedition and given her own Na'vi avatar. The prospect of exploring Pandora as one of the native inhabitants thrilled her to no end. However, there was one restriction she had to abide by - no one was allowed to enter the area where the Omatikaya Clan resided.
Despite the rule, Amara couldn't resist her curiosity, and one day, she found herself wandering deeper into the Pandora forest than she should have. To her surprise, she stumbled upon the Omatikaya Clan's territory and was confronted by Neteyam, the strong and charismatic leader of the clan. Realizing her mistake, Amara pleaded for her life, offering to learn and respect the ways of the Omatikaya to make amends.
Neteyam, intrigued by Amara's sincerity and determination, agreed to her proposition. He saw in her the potential to bridge the gap between the Na'vi and the human visitors, fostering a deeper understanding between their cultures. Under Neteyam's guidance, Amara began immersing herself in the traditions and customs of the Omatikaya, gradually becoming accepted by the clan.
As Amara spent more time with the Omatikaya, she encountered challenges and conflicts. Marek, an envious and antagonistic member of the clan, made her integration into their society harder than expected. Despite this, Amara found solace in the genuine friendships she developed with other loyal members of the clan, such as Petani, who became a close confidante and ally.
However, the true test of Amara's journey came when she found herself falling for Neteyam, the chief himself. Their growing connection brought joy but also inner turmoil, as Amara grappled with the complexities of her feelings and the cultural differences between them.
As Amara's story unfolds on Pandora, she will navigate the delicate balance between two worlds, cherishing her time as a member of the Omatikaya and treasuring the relationships she forms. Her adventure will be filled with personal growth, unforeseen challenges, and a profound transformation that will forever change her perception of the world and her place within it.

Octopolis review — Jemma Redgrave excels in a tangled, tentacled tale

★★★☆☆ There is a third character in Marek Horn’s unabashedly cerebral two-hander who lurks in the background, forever invisible. Her name is Frances, and she is an octopus who lives in a large tank in the residence of a recently widowed animal behaviourist who treats outsiders with much the same suspicion as a cephalopod. But instead of firing jets of inky fluid, George — superbly played by Jemma Redgrave — takes refuge behind thorny bands of words, some sweary, some scholarly.
Horn mentions his admiration for Tom Stoppard in the programme notes, and like a typically over-padded Stoppard offering, this play enjoys teasing the audience with arch dialogue and nuggets of arcane insider discourse. “I think I’m losing the thread of this slightly,” complains Harry, the young anthropologist who is trying to get to grips with George’s obsession. I know how he feels. There are moments in this 100-minute drama (with no interval) where Horn and the director Ed Madden lead us down one cul-de-sac too many.
What holds your attention, even when the narrative seems impossibly tangled, is the incandescent energy of the performances. Redgrave is all fire and ice as an academic weighed down with grief who has channelled every ounce of her existence into studying the aloof creature in the tank. Ewan Miller is equally acute as Harry, who finds himself drawn into a relationship that turns on more than a theoretical dispute about whether an octopus could possibly have a soul. Anisha Field’s skeletal set and Jamie Platt’s lighting pull us in too.
Horn’s last play, Yellowfin, was a futuristic eco-drama about the ransacking of the oceans. By the end of Octopolis, you can’t help wondering whether the marine metaphor is being pushed to breaking point and beyond. I had a moment of déjà vu when Harry began to expatiate on the glories of razor clams, as there was a similar scene in this studio space just a few months ago in another two-hander, Gareth Farr’s Biscuits for Breakfast.
Still, bursts of songs by David Bowie provide much-needed jolts of visceral energy. As George and Harry begin to bond, tunes such as Sound and Vision provide a language they can both understand. As it grows less and less self-conscious, their dancing expresses an intimacy beyond words.

STAR WARS SAGA EDITION WIKI
Galen Marek aka StarKiller
Reference Book: Star Wars Saga Edition Force Unleashed Campaign Guide
Affiliations: The Galactic Empire, The Rebel Alliance, Darth Vader, Juno Eclipse
The Sith Rule of Two was created by Darth Bane to keep The Sith from destroying themselves as they had done in the past. Darth Vader, however, disregarded this rule when he began training his own apprentice to fight the Emperor. Taken as a boy from the planet Kashyyyk where his father, a Jedi on the run, had been hiding him, this apprentice (Who would go by the callsign "Starkiller") was raised to use the power of The Dark Side from an early age. By the time he reached adulthood, Vader's apprentice was among the most powerful Force-users in the galaxy thanks to the tutelage of his Sith Master. Vader kept this apprentice secret from the Emperor, hoping to use the boy when the time was right to overthrow Darth Sidious, just as he would attempt to convince Luke Skywalker to do.
Vader's apprentice was both strong in The Force and incredibly aggressive. As a teenager, the apprentice was already more powerful than many Jedi Knights had been during the Clone Wars, and it was only Darth Vader's incredible power and skill that allowed him to defeat the boy in combat. Vader's apprentice underwent a grueling training program from the time he was a young boy, and eventually he was sent on a number of incredibly dangerous assignments, including several missions to exterminate exiled Jedi Knights. Operating in secret, Vader's apprentice hunted down and killed Jedi Masters such as Kazdan Paratus and Shaak Ti, and nearly destroyed Jedi Master Rahm Kota as well.
It would later be Master Kota and a young Imperial pilot named Juno Eclipse who would bring Vader's apprentice back from the brink of being lost to The Dark Side forever. Vader commanded his apprentice to rally the enemies of the Empire, including Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, and General Garm Bel Iblis, to form a coalition against the Empire. At the moment when he had finally gathered them all together, the apprentice found Darth Vader waiting to spring the trap. Eventually, Vader's apprentice would turn on both him and the Emperor, rescuing the captive leaders from The Death Star and fighting off the two Sith Lords with the help of Master Kota.
