Why aren’t people understanding that Marceline and Marshall Lees skin being grey DOESN’T come from being vampires? 😭

They simply inherited their demon/non black parents skin tone like any mixed kid could (also doesn’t make them less black)

So many people arguing that black peoples skin doesn’t turn grey upon death , yes you are correct but that literally isn’t what happened here

I'm sorry I dont know why, but anytime I see a Marceline-focused highschool/modern au fic with both Simon and Hunson tagged, my mind can't help but immediately go to this:

So...what is Hudson's relationship with simon like? How does simon feel about his dad?

In short, it is the epitome of 'complicated'.

As for the longer explanation, I'll start at the beginning when Simon was just a kid, which was when he first met his dad. It wasn't a good first impression.

I imagine when Simon was a kid, he didn't have too many friends. Maybe some kids would try to befriend him at first, but either he accidentally scared them off or their parents told them to stay away from him, both happening because of his unnaturally grey skin, his pointy ears, his sharp teeth, claws and the way his eyes weren't always human.

With no one but his mother around, Simon was desperate for connection, so he did some digging and found a way to summon his father and that's where things went wrong. Simon accidentally ended up setting Hunson loose on the small town he lived in.

A lot of people lost their souls that night, but luckily Simon's mother was able to send Hunson back to the Nightosphere before he did too much damage. She heavily scolded Simon for summoning him and the two fled the town to avoid suspicion. Simon didn't sleep properly for a long time after that incident.

But surprisingly enough, as he got older he didn't hold as much as a grudge against his dad as he felt he should have. He came to understand that some demons just don't have morals, and even if some did they were nothing like human morals. Hunson was just one that had no morals or sense of good but he did love Simon.

Simon in his late 20s/early 30s would start visiting Hunson infrequently, as he still hadn't 100% forgiven Hunson and he didn't really like how the Nightosphere affected him (a headcanon for another time).

Their relationship stayed pretty much the same from that point to a while after the mushroom war. When the Lich had begun his attack on Ooo, he worked alongside Princess Bubblegum and Billy to fight his forces, but it wasn't enough.

Kingdoms were falling to ruin in days and with the Lich going after the gems of power, not only were himself and Bubblegum in danger, but so was Marceline - or Frostbite Queen as she now went by.

Simon went to Hunson to ask for the Nightosphere's army (or the closest thing his father had to an army). Hunson agreed, with a caveat. He'd allow Simon to command the forces of the Nightosphere if he agreed to become ruler of the Nightosphere.

Even though he was angry at Hunson for pushing such a thing at a time like that, he didn't see any other option. He agreed to it and was allowed to use the demons in the fight against the Lich, becoming the ruler of the Nightosphere in the process.

And as ruler, he was now the owner of the Nightospheric amulet. He barely uses it, just as a last resort since he can only just control it for a small amount of time.

Though Hunson's time apart from the amulet actually does him some good. He's still evil and Simon doesn't trust him to wander Ooo without some form of suppressor so he doesn't suck souls, but by the time show would take place, Simon and Hunson are on fairly good terms.

Day in Fandom History: December 17…

The Father of Marceline, Hunson Abadeer, returns to the Land of Ooo in hopes to bond with his only daughter, but has he really changed and decide to not suck any more souls out from random people? “Marcy & Hunson” premiered on this day, 7 Years Ago.

This has been on my mind for a while now but-

Hunson: Hey Marceline! Thought I'd drop by-

Simon: *punches Hunson in the face*

Marceline: Simon!

Hunson: Ow!! Wha-

Simon: I summoned you for one reason. And one reason only. SO TELL ME, HUNSON ABADEER, WHERE WERE YOU WHEN VAMPIRES ATTACKED MY LIL MARCY???

Hunson: Look, I had-

Simon: I know damn well that as a demon your sense of morality is skewed at best but for all that is good in this world you failed -HORRENDOUSLY- at keeping Marceline safe!

Hunson: NOW SEE HERE YOU MORTAL SACK OF SH-

Marceline: Simon, dad pls calm down-

Finn has used many swords. Each unique in origin and power. Some are epic, some are bland.

Regal Sword: Just a regular sword Finn used after buying it before sneaking off into a dungeon. The gray bulb was originally red until his mom ate the color.

Ice Sword: A Christmas present from Grandpa Simon. Ice King made it, adding a defending spell from the crown. This sword was unfortunately destroyed by Scorcher after accidently hiring him and the spell flew back into the crown. So, Finn went back to using the Regal Sword before getting the next one.

Abadeer Demon Sword: Finn gets it during the second time meeting Grandfather Hunson. (The first time, Hunson tried to bond with him by trying to suck all the souls in Ooo) Hunson gives it to the little "prince" before making the offer to Marcy in taking over the Nightosphere. Events go down normally, even Finn wearing the amulet. So, Finn gets a new sword and trauma that day. This dark blade is infused with Hunson's magic, giving it power to suck up souls, chop ghosts and overpower even the strongest of foes. Marceline, however, destroys this one after finding out that the Demon Sword was corrupting her son to do evil, finding out Finn's been sneaking out dungeon crawling even before he got the sword. Though the effect was taking way slower than Hunson expected for some reason. (*cough* Comet *cough*)

Candy Cane Sword: With the Evil Sword Curse still lingering on Finn, Marceline banned her son from going into dungeons. He went to the Candy Kingdom to look for any thrill, but not too extreme as he's still a good-hearted hero. He went to Princess Bubblegum to see if there's anything he could do. As Hero of Ooo, she saw an opportunity and gave him a job as a knight, giving him a new sword. Though he had a breakdown and quits after enduring trauma from the second zombie incident, but he still kept the sword.

Celestial Light: Seeing the curse becoming worse for Finn, Marcy feared she was going to lose her son like she lost her father-figure. She looked through the Enchiridion and the library to find at least something to help him, even a little. (Now, I didn't think of a full story here, but they end up in another dimension, earns the orb and it lifts his curse) Made of purifying light, Finn could shape it into any tool he willed it to with a proud shout of its name. Celestial Light was destroyed when it stabbed into the Lich's heart, erasing him and the blade from existence.

Biotech Sword: Finn gets this sword from when he, his mom and BMO somehow ended up in space... on the Drift. At first look, it's a cool looking sword, but it can adjust its effectiveness from able to block attacks to slicing anything like hot butter. It can also create arcs of energy with every slash Finn makes in close combat or ranged and release shockwaves with every hit if he wants to. If the sword has been knocked away or just out of reach in general, it will fly back to him with just a thought.

Soul Sword: Created by Peppermint Bulter before the Lich War, a soul trapper. Finn used it on the PepperLich to end to war and dumped it in the same volcano where Magic Man threw Patience St Pim after she used him as an elemental spell battery, but not before turning her into an avocado.

Biotech Arm Sword: Shortly after losing his arm, the Biotech Sword merged with the severed appendage and immediately reattached itself onto him, giving him a hard light blade with the same features as before. At one point after, he discovered it could customize its appearance, giving himself claws.

There was that one sword he made with the Sister of Flame (Flame Princess), but he never used it and gave it to her after she overthrew her father.

And that's all the sword MMAU Finn has used.
