ALSO I've definitely seen another creator who did this idea with op characters but I can't remember who so if someone could tell me I would really love to credit them :(. I tried to make mine different but still it's the principal of it.

Luffy

Thinks its a new game like tag but with kisses and it ends up actually becoming one. You'll both wait for the other to become distracted and then you'll strike, planting a kiss and sprinting off around the ship or the island you're docked at. It's not hard to chase after each other because the trails of laughter are so easy to follow and it always ends up with one of you on the floor from a tackle or something similar.

Zoro

Gobsmacked. Genuinely his jaw drops especially if there's other people there and you get away so easily only because of how long it takes his brain to boot back online. Oh but he doesn't let it go. He waits until you're in a similar situation, either talking to someone or doing work and he sneaks up to pull you into a deep, intense kiss that leaves your knees weak. Like he fully puts the moves on you, hand on your lower back, other hand cradling your jaw, hes literally licking into your mouth and then he just disappears for the rest of the day. Asshole.

Sanji

You are not running away from this man. Not in a scary way but he can't do just one short kiss, as soon as you're leaning in his hands settle firm on your hips and that grip is not something you can wiggle out of. You can try to run away but he just laughs at you and pulls you closer to him, ofc he would let go if you actually wanted him to but he knows what you're trying to pull. Says something like "Oh? Trying to run darlin? How sweet." swoon- Just don't even bother, he will always try to win if your affection is involved.

Nami

Honestly thinks nothing of it. A lot of your affection is sweet but quick because yk pirate life. But if you look disappointed from her lack of reaction then she catches on quickly and starts playing along. So sweet even though she can be scary. Oh but don't try to run if she's initiating, like Sanji you aren't going to get out of her grip. If she wants to shower you with affection, she is going to thank you very much. If you do manage to slip away she's surprisingly quick and surprisingly stealthy. Like you'll think you got away and you walk into a room and she drops down from the ceiling like fucking batman.

(maybe not that dramatic but shes good)

Robin

She lets you run away but only because she knows she could summon a mouth to kiss you at any time and in any place so she's content knowing she always wins. Also thinks it's really cute when you try to rile her up like this, she just finds it so endearing and usually ends up playing into it anyways- "My, my, aren't you getting so bold my love". Sometimes will purposefully trip you up while you're doing these antics so you can't get away or so your plan is ruined, absolutely pretends she has no idea what you're talking about.

Usopp

Highly likely he was doing something when it happened. Highly likely he dropped something onto his foot as a result. Yowls like an injured cat and then when his brain catches up it's like steam comes out of his ears. Stands there with his mouth open and pointing at you like you betrayed his entire family. Very funny and very cute. Also a possibility of him smacking you out of fearful instinct in which case he'd probably cry his eyes out and beg for forgiveness. Nami makes it worse by punching him in the face for hitting you. A mess all around if you get him at the wrong time so just be careful.

Ace

Immediately sprinting after you, it's actually a bit scary. But like hey he's not letting you get away with just one measly little peck on the cheek. Absolutely nobody on the crew helps you unless it would be funny, i.e. someone tripping Ace up so he faceplants. If it's near the beginning of your relationship then you likely go back out of concern which he takes as a chance to catch you, but if it's later then you already know this man's antics and you know he wouldn't be injured just from tripping so you use it as an opportunity to get away💪. You still have to kiss it better later though when hes whining to you about how cruel you are for leaving him in the dust(he would do the same).

Izou

Don't bother. As soon as you turn he snatches you by the back of your collar and pulls you onto his lap, proceeds to resume his conversation like nothing is wrong but his arms are firm around your waist and his cheeks and ears are a particularly pretty shade of red. Once his conversation is over and the other person has left, he turns his attention to you with a very pointed look. He's not actually irritated but if he enjoys watching you squirm that's his business. "If you wanted a kiss you should've just asked my love" and then he's practically devouring your mouth. Doesn't care about the other people in the vicinity. Doesn't care that he's smudging his lipstick. Just wants to fluster you more than you flustered him.

Marco

Do you even want to run away from this man lets be real- anyways.

If he's doing work then he just laughs and lets you get away with it, tallys it in his head for later, but if he's free and hes in a good mood then he absolutely plays into it. Will chase after you. Will cheat by using his powers. Its a bit scary but also very attractive, somehow ends with him pinning you in some way (☺️), looks very smug when he wins. Like you'll end up flat on your back, legs trapped under his and his hands restraining yours and he's just grinning- "Oh what a surprise. You were so easy to catch-yoi" Yeah yeah shut up. Absolutely asks what his reward is just to see your shocked face (absolutely asks again later when you two are alone).

Sabo

VILLAIN!!!!!! Sorry only way i can describe how devious and obsessed this man would be. Like Izou he tries to snatch you immediately but you planned for this so you manage to spring out of his grip in time. You falter a bit at his reaction then because he just blinks at you for a while. You start to feel a bit nervous and when he finally grins at you, you definitely feel nervous. "Playing like that are we honey? How about I give you a headstart then?" Evil. You know he's going to catch you. He knows he's going to catch you. He's just giving you false hope but yk hope is hope so you take the chance.

You don't get far. It's not even fair how quickly he catches up to you and gets you underneath him, it takes him barely any effort, not even a strand of hair is out of place. Spends the next 10 minutes kissing you on the floor of the hallway until Koala comes back and promptly drags him back into his office.

The sea air gently caressed your face with a warm and gentle touch. Closing your eyes, you could taste the salt in each sea-spray brushing against the hull of the grand vessel you served on. Humming in contentment, you closed your eyes and elevated your chin to experience the full heat of the searing sun. 

The days were getting warmer, the sea was becoming softer with the lessening swell of rocking waves, and there was something in the air that the crew had noticed growing between two members of the crew. Oden and Toki had a chemistry the entire crew had witnessed blossom to a soft bloom, and it built a sense of unity aboard the ship to watch their easy rapport swell into something more. 

As you flung another sigh into the air, you felt a body slot itself down beside you in a swift plop, their shoulder immediately brushing with yours on the descent and rousing you from your silent solitude. Lulling your head to the side with a soft scowl of disapproval, your smile illuminated your face when you witnessed the smile of the man beside you. 

“Been watching Oden and Toki again, have you?” you hummed in a light tease towards the blonde man, “What are you planning, Marco?” His eyes widened and he swiftly cocked his head to the side. 

“What makes you think I’m planning anything, hm?” he hummed down at you, feigning shock and hurt on his face. You shook your head and raised your hand, gesturing to his face with your index finger extended.

“It’s all in your eyes,” you smirk at him before returning to your position reclining back to lean on the mast once more. Shaking your head to bask in the sun, you heard the man chuckle beside you in response. Marco mirrored your expression, leaning back and resting his shoulder against yours. 

After lingering in silence for a few more moments, Marco softly hummed down at you, “I noticed you don’t hold the same investment in the Oden-Toki situation as the others.” Slowly moving your face to the side, you gaze up into his eyes as he continues, “You don't like the match?” 

“I like the match just fine,” you smile in response, gently nudging his shoulder with yours, “I just prefer to let their courtship blossom without interference.” Marco nods, a lazy half-smile drawing up his lips as he leans against your shoulder. 

“I’m not interfering that much,” Marco admits, leaning more of his body against yours and shaking his head down at you, “Just ensuring they don’t get interrupted by Nekomamushi. It’s like he has a sixth sense on when to pester Oden, and I would prefer it if Oden had an opportunity to make Toki smile.” 

Humming in response, you lean in to Marco’s aura and gently close your eyes and linger a little longer. 

The relationship between you and the doctor was easy and laid back. You trusted one another, respected each other, and had no qualms in expressing your friendship towards the other in physical touch. It was Marco’s love language to give. Being a doctor, he often used his hands to demonstrate compassion for those injured, and provide comfort to those who needed it. 

His love language to receive was quality time, and he chose to drink his fill of it with you. He can’t deny the growing adoration and affection swelling in his chest each moment he sought you out. As he lulled his head on top of yours, he enjoyed the warmth of the sun kissing his skin while basking in the heat your body pressed into his. 

“Ah, I see,” you utter in a soft whisper, “Not interfering, just acting as a bodyguard.” Marco chuckled into your hair, gently nuzzling against your hair and tugging you closer. “Just a humble knight and loyal protector.” 

“That’s the role I’ve chosen, yes,” he wraps his arm over your shoulder before pressing his cheek to the crown of your head. You press your lips together in a tight-lipped smile as you fully relax against his chest. 

“And while you’re here with me, who’s ensuring Nekomamushi leaves Oden and Toki alone?” you hum in thought, turning your head up and gazing into his eyes above you. He smiled down at you in response, shaking his head and uttering. 

“I gave Oden an entire morning to flirt to his heart's content,” he confessed with a breathy huffed laugh. “Now I get to take a break, and enjoy hanging out with you.” You shake your head up at him before leaning back into his chest and closing your eyes. 

“I wonder what they’re up to now,” you utter lazily, feeling the warmth of his embrace gently shepherding you into a soft slumber. You yawn and nuzzle gently into his chest, sighing as you come down from the soft stretch.

“To be honest, I don’t quite care at the moment,” Marco retorted, joining his other arm over your torso and making himself comfortable while cradling you into his chest. “All that I care about right now is you, right here beside me.” 

He sneaks a look down at you, recognising the deep rise and fall of your chest to indicate deep slumber. His heart swelled up to his throat, a soft blush dusted his cheeks and his lips parted in soft shock. 

The feeling of true contentment and joy grew higher as he drew you in closer. Pressing his lips against your temple, he looked up to the sky and enjoyed basking in the warm rays falling from the cloudless sky. 

Watching on and snickering behind toothy grins: Jozu, Vista, Oden and Toki watch on with blushes rising to the apples of their cheeks, and cupping their hands in their chin. The only thing that could spoil them witnessing this moment of blossoming coupleship could be-.

“-Hey guys, has anyone seen Marco?” Nekomamushi’s rumbled drawl called over to the four members of your crew, “I’ve been looking for him everywhere, but I can’t seem to find him.” In a flurry of hands, and a wrangle of biceps and forearms, the giant lion-man was restrained and ushered away from the top deck where you and Marco lay in each other’s warm embrace. 

Slumbering peacefully, your blissful slumber grew with the rise and fall of your chests mirroring the waves ushering you to your next destination. Marco slept beside you, drawing you up into his chest and using the crown of your head as a soft pillow for his chin. While you laid your face in the crook of his neck and breathed him in with every breath, you dreamt of finding the courage to confess your growing affections for the blonde doctor. 

Only time will tell when you finally give in and profess, but for now there was this moment: you and him beneath the sun aboard the ship you both served on, with a crew that you loved, and who loved you in return.

Sleeping Quirk : Marco, Shanks, Kaido [GN]

Marco

Marco is the perfect sleeper, he doesn’t move often, he doesn't snore, no cold feet. Don’t steal the blanket. 

When he starts to doze off, he tends to cling to his S/O. Putting his arm around hips, mostly, loving the feeling of S/O’s back against his chest. Then he just fell asleep.

For the rest of the night, he just turns himself on his side and doesn’t move. 

Worst sleeper ever. WORST. Just move all the fcking night, hit S/O in the process. Pull S/O to keep close. BUT doesn’t snore. 

Destroy the bed, obliged to completely redo it in the morning. 

Personal heater. This guys is just fucking hot, pleasant in winter, unpleasant in summer.

He just lay on his back, cross his arm on his chest… Doesn’t change his position. Like he was in a coffin. 

Snore like a trucker. Worst when he is totally drunk, he makes Onigashima tremble. 

Dream a lot about fighting, he move in his sleep like he was swinging his club, let burst of conqueror haki escape… S/O became a professional to run away in this case. Flee to the Kitchen at 3AM to find Queen in underwear dipping cookies in milk.

Could i please request a fem!child!reader who's picked up swearing with the whitebeard pirates?

Reader sorta knows what it means but also doesn't,

Also flips people off mid convo, (doesn't know what means but thinks it's funny.)

And when she gets angry/annoyed she is kinda a savage, like I can imagine reader with ace (and any other characters) then a group of pirates starts threatening them but reader is just going ham with the insults.

A/N I am combining these two requests, I kinda change some buts since I would be crushed if Dokucha actually rejected their families love so they came back with something else knstead! Iy’all seemef to like the first one so hopefully you like this one to, I think I COOKED just like Shanks is gonna be COOKED 😂

Shanks stared owlishly at the child before them, having just found them in one of the many crow-nests that composed the Red force.

"Boss, what is it?" he heard Lucky call from the ship's Deck.

"My doom," he replied morbidly, fully jumping into the crow's nest and kneeling down next to the child who had the courtesy of at least looking remorseful.

"Dokuchaaaa," he called, stretching the last syllables of their name as they noticed them trying to avoid his stare.

The child, who by now had turned into a flustered mess, both at the fact that they had been busted and that they had gotten busted by the man with whom they were infatuated.

"What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see Mister Shanks again," they mutter.

Shanks lets out a huff but cannot help to give the child a slight grin.

"Your brothers banned you from seeing me again?" he asked, letting out a small laugh as they nodded sadly.

"You know they really won't be happy with this."

"I don't care! Big brothers were being meanies! I just wanted to see Mister Shanks, but they won't let me! I hate them!" they exclaimed

"Come on, Dokucha, I know you don't mean that, do ya?"

"No... I don't," they sniffled.

"It's okay, I know you love your brothers; they love you too. They just worry for you."

"I love them b-but I also love Mister Shanks," they called as they burst into tears and ran towards the man.

"There, There, it's alright," he whispered as he patted the child's back, calming them down as he made his way down the crow's nest, the child held tightly in his hands.

"Come on now, why are you crying?"

"B-Because I said that I hated my brothers! I didn't mean it! I love them so much!" They sobbed

Shanks let a small snicker at their troubles as he continued to rub their back.

"They're gonna be mad at Mister Shanks now, and I won't be able to see you!"

"Already breaking hearts, boss?" Yassop merrily called, letting another belly laugh as his Captain just rolled his eyes at his statement

"Listen, Dokucha, don't worry about that. We will get something figured out, but for now, how about you enjoy your time here? What do you say? Want to be my assistant today?"

They rubbed their eyes furiously at their statement, trying to erase the remains of their previous outbursts, a few rogue sniffles still escaping them, much to their chagrin.

"I get to be Mister Shanks's Assistant?"

"Think you're up for it?" he questioned, lowering them to the floor and continuing to hold their hand.

"Yes, I'm up for anything that Mister Shanks asks of me!" They happily agreed

"Hear that, Beck? I got me an assistant, and they actually appreciate me."

Said man, rolled his eyes as he shook the ashes from the tip of his cigarette, bringing it back to his lips and glancing at the pair

"Better escape while you can; that one right there is a hassle. Too high-maintenance"

"Hah?!"

"Yes, But he's a handsome hassle!" Dokucha piped back with a grin as they hugged his much larger hand against their cheek.

"O-Oi, are you insulting me or complimenting me here?!" Shanks cried

"Now you've done it, Akagami!" Ace growls, jumping into the Red Force, followed promptly by Thatch once it had pulled closer to the Moby Dick

"I don't care if you're my brother's savior; you're not getting away with stealing my baby sibling!"

"Now, Now it was just a misunderstanding," He calls a laidback smile on his face as the young men stomp his way.

"Like hell it was!" Ace hollers, reeling a fire-filled fist.

"Brother Portgas D Ace!" Dokucha calls, halting the man on his step

"Oh, Looks like you're in trouble now," Shanks calls, covering his snickers with his hand as the child marched to the nervous fire user.

"Don't you dare hurt Mister Shanks!"

"Why not Dokucha?! This creep stole you from us," Thatch cried.

"Because you'll damage his pretty face!"

"That's the only reason?!" Shanks exclaimed mortified

"Of course not, Mister Shanks! it's because I love Mister Shanks!" They exclaimed, running his way and attaching themselves to his leg, much to the horror of the two commanders

"I'm not sure if that makes it better," he huffs out.

"Dokucha..." Thatch cries, falling on his knees as tears begin to fall down his face comically

"I think this time my heart is really broken," he sobs.

"Hey, Dokucha, I will see you later, okay? It's time to go back now," he murmurs as he kneels beside the kid.

" B-But I don't want to leave Mister Shanks," They cried, their tiny hands clenching into fists as small tears began to pool at the edge of their eyes.

"I will see you again, okay? I think your brothers really need you now."

"They need me?" they questioned, glancing at the irate Ace and a still knelt Thatch.

"Of course, they need someone to keep them in line, think you can do that? It's your next task as my assistant."

"Leave it to me, Mister Shanks!" they exclaimed, wiping off their tears as a determined look appeared on their face.

"Atta Kid," He cheered, rubbing their head.

"I will see you soon, okay?"

"Like We will let that fucking happen" Thach growls pulling out his swords

"Alright, enough of this," A voice cuts in

"Akagami, please return our sibling to us, Ace; Thatch, we're done here," Marco orders as he lands on the ship's bow, causing the Red Force to sink slightly, bouncing back to the waves as it tried to withstand the sudden arrival.

"Ah, Marco, it's not too late, you know; how about you join me and bring your sibling with you."

"Screw off, Red-haired," he answered scowling as the Captain just sent a grin his way, giving his last goodbyes to the small kid as they ran to the Chef, who hugged them tightly, rubbing their cheeks together ask he continued repeating how much they missed them as he made his way back to their galleon.

"You are grounded."

"But Papaw!" they whine, looking up at the old giant.

"Not buts. You are grounded for a week, and that is final. For the following week, you will be accompanied by either me or one of your brothers at all times."

"But that's so fucking unfair!"

"..."

"..."

"MY BABY, they tainted you!!" Thatch cried, shaking the child with tears cascading down his face

"Brother Thatch?" they question, confused, their mind becoming dizzy at the motion.

"Stop it, you idiot," Marco called, hitting the back of Thatc's head, causing the latter to release Dokucha only to turn to him with a scowl.

"Damn you, Marco! Let me lament myself; they have tarnished their pure heart," he cried, throwing himself on the ground once again.

"...I'm going to kill him. I am going to roast him alive and give the fishes a barbecued meal of a lifetime," Ace growled.

"What the hell is going on?" Dokucha cried.

"Dokucha, stop," Marco called a stern tone in his voice.

"You brat, where did you learn those words from? Was it from Akagami's crew?"

"Ah? I heard Mister Shanks say those words-

"Ace. Let's prepare for that barbecue. I will have them fillet for this," The Chef murmured, a dark aura surrounding him.

"But since Big Brothers say them a lot, I thought it was okay..."

"..."

"Dokucha, who exactly did you hear say those words?" Whitebeard asked, a glare in his eye as he questioned them

"Big brother Thatch and Big brother Ace!" they cheered.

"..."

"Dokucha. Will you go find Vista for now? Do not leave his side; you are still grounded, Marco called, watching as they stomped off with a pout on their face.

"Assholes," They mutter.

"Keep it up. You just earned another week of being grounded," Marco called.

"But Brother Marco, I don't know what words I can't say!"

"We will continue this discussion later. For now, if you don't know what it means, then you don't say it understood."

"Okay.." they mutter, walking away to find the swordsman.

"Marco, make sure you have the clinic ready," Whitebeard called as he glared down the two wide-eyed and sweating commanders.

"Will do pops."

"Ah-wait..wait a second Pops-

That day screaming and pleas for mercy from the two commanders reverberated across the sea, reaching the ears of the Red Force vessel as they departed from the Moby Dick's location.

"Hmm, looks like that old man found out who was responsible for the child's colorful language," hums Shanks as he leans back on the chair he laid on, downing a cup of sake as he did.

Here we go! Guess Shanks is not the only one getting Cooked! Good thing they have a express healer on watch! Thatch and Ace will definitely need them!

White Beard Pirates x Reader Talking To Another Man

Ace, Marco, Izo, Jozu, Thatch, and Vista! Gender neutral!reader, slight cursing, kinda got lazy at the end sadly, might be a little ooc for some of them since it’s my first time writing them, no beta we die like ace, requested!

Portgas D. Ace

Ace is naturally a jealous man, he doesn’t really like to be, finding it to be an unattractive trait within himself however he can’t help it. Especially, when he finds you near another crew member, stealing all your attention.

It doesn’t take long for him to realize that you were missing for nearly half the day, gone from your routinely activity of finding him and giving a kiss to his cheek plus checking up on him. When he goes to find you he nearly crushes a piece of railing he was holding onto, realizing that you weren’t missing, no, someone had just been pestering you all day. No wonder why you haven’t been with him for nearly half of the day, this person was hogging you all to themselves! He’s quick to act though, a charming smile on his face as he plays up his outgoing personality, tring to cover his jealousy. Swinging himself over the side of the railing and walking over to you and the other man, warm arms wrapping tightly against your waist, pressing his chest to your back.

He tries to coax you into leaving with him, hands rubbing circles on your waist as he whispers softly in your ear of missing you. If that doesn’t work then he just glares at the other man until he leaves, eyes piercing and irritated. When the man quickly runs off not wanting to anger The Fire Fist Ace you look suspiciously back at Ace, his expression now changed to relaxed and loving. Again, he softly asks if you can hang out with him. Will give you puppy dog eyes if he needs too, please say yes.

Marco

Without a doubt, Marco is the most calm about you talking to another man that isn’t him. It isn’t exactly that he doesn’t care, he just is secure in your relationship and the fact that you’d never go behind his back. Plus, he’s very aware that you also deserve to have a social life outside of him.

However, he also prioritizes your safety and wellbeing above all else, should something happen to you he wouldn’t forgive himself. His trust in you is absolute, as always, the people you talk to not so much. Especially when it’s while you’re stopped at an island, his eyes are glued to you and that man, making sure he makes no attempts to put you in danger. As a person with a high bounty you’re always at risk of being put in danger, and while Marco is confident you can protect yourself that doesn’t stop his worries any less.

Hovering near the areas you are, or just full blown hanging around you, a charming yet deadly serious demeanor about him. He definitely feels less uneasy when you’re both on the ship around trusted people, and a hundred times more when you’re close to somewhere he can monitor your surroundings. Overall, not very overbearing about you talking to other men, so long as he knows you’re safe and that the man isn’t bothering you.

Thatch

Another man who would be pretty calm about you talking to another man is Thatch, probably would even join you in conversation with whoever you’re actively talking to if he has the chance too and you don’t mind.

As a more friendly natured man he’s quite happy when you meet new people, thinking that the socialization is good for you. If he’s not too busy then a lot of the time he’ll join in the conversation happily, pleased to talk with another person and especially you. If he is then he doesn’t really mind, he’s a little jealous that it isn’t him you’re talking to but just by a smidge, he gets over it pretty quickly.

He also does it to make sure you don’t get into any trouble. He wholeheartedly believes that you can absolutely take care of anyone that bothers you, he’s your #1 fan, but he also likes to be careful, especially if it’s with someone who isn’t from/is new to the crew.

Izou

With Izou it’s a complete 50/50 how he acts, completely depending on how the other person is acting towards you, or if you both know the person.

If you’re chatting with a man that both of you know that he’s completely calm, maybe every now and then his eyes are flickering to your form to make sure you’re okay, but he allows you to have your conversation in peace with the man, occasionally gives the man death glares though so he knows not to do anything. If it’s a complete stranger though then his entire demeanor changes.

Izou is a fiercely loyal man, whatever it takes he’ll ensure you’re safe and happy, so without a doubt if you’re talking to someone new then he’s sticking beside you if he can. Definitely has a mean face while looking at the man you’re talking to, he’s just trying to keep the man under a watchful gaze. A hundred percent scares the man off.. Izou is definitely more protective than he is jealous, doesn’t mean you can’t make him jealous though. Jozu is very quiet, you never really know what he’s thinking until he actually says something. If you’re ever talking to someone else he’s especially hard to read, just staring at the both of you for a moment.

He’s just trying to make sure that the man has no bad intentions for you, his silence sometimes mistaken for brooding although he’s just trying to be through with his observations of the man. If the man is fine then he’s fine, only really looking back at you occasionally making sure you’re still alright.

If the man is a little strange or off putting though then he’s quick to act, smoothly and almost silently stealing you away from your company. If you ask him what’s wrong then he’ll obviously softly tell you, but once you both are far away from that weird ass man.

Vista

Vista barely has any bones in his body to be jellyfish, key word being barely. Although, that jealousy is more towards if that man is hitting on you rather than if you’re talking to him.

He just watches for a moment you and the man having a conversation, not very worried knowing that he can trust the way you act around other people. His eyes leave you for just a couple minutes, looking at something else before going back to you. Your body rigid and face clearly uncomfortable, the man talking to you clearly getting too confident for his own good.

Ooo, he’s mad. How dare this man make you, his lovely partner, uncomfortable! Definitely coming to your rescue as quickly as he can. If you’re okay with PDA then he might put a hand on your waist to get the man to back off, if not then he’s just casually whisking you away from that creep.

“Making a nest little bird?” He asked and stepped closer, shutting and locking the door behind him before he looked at the set up.

“Not a nest,” You mumbled and gripped the sheet, feeling instantly uneasy in the presence of the zoan. Who tutted before letting out a light-hearted chuckle, like he hadn’t forced you here against your will.

His birdbrain was running a mile a minute, this was his mate and he needed to provide for them.

He started to move around the room, going for a large chest in the corner and pulling out even more blankets, getting on the bed with you he started to arrange them.

You watched with wide eyes as he trilled under his breath, happy to be helping make a nest for him and his mate. You flinched when he turned to look at you again, eyes half-lided as he encroached on your personal space, pinning you against the headboard.

It's actually been a while since I've read or seen anything related to One Piece so I had to go back and re-watch things involving Marco since I always want to give a rather realistic scenario of the character. I don't do OOC stuff (no, I am not dragging other authors who do that. I'll still read their works and am happy with it, I just prefer to make my OWN stuff realistic)

Anyways, let's move on forward

Marco is not one for a quick-burn nor a slow-burn of a love story but rather, an evenly paced-burn. It wouldn't take him years nor days. Months to properly fall in love yet years to confess, that seems about right.

And he's obviously not one to fall in love with the superficial, although it is an added bonus.

He doesn't just fall in love with the way you act, neither the way you fight

Marco falls in love with the way you interact with the world.

Your honeyed words when speaking to people, the way you tend to sit in the middle of a crowded plaza, happily people-watching in silence. The way you're a cynic through and through yet enjoy romanticizing what can be romanticized, sometimes you're harsh with your words, other times poetic.

It's plain to see when the world has won the battle against you. But never the war, that you are determined to win. And he adores that about you.

He adores how you seem to fight with style (if that's even possible), your eyes in a slightly caving under the wight of their mischief. Your lips pursed to taunt and tease whilst you gracefully dance across the battlefield.

Thats not to say, you haven't had your clumsy moment in the heat of battle. Usually, you'll catch yourself in time, making it look as though nothing happened but you're humiliation will be plain to see (at least in his eyes). Your brow has a tendency of twitching when embarrassed.

He loves watching your interactions with the crew and Pops --- Whitebeard had taken you in upon finding your sickly body aboard some small boat drifting lost at see. Turns out, you had a illness eerily similar to his, or so, the ship's doctor said. Pops had immediately felt some kind of kin-ship and had opted to take you in

You were in a coma for until sometime, upon awaking the doctors and nurses struggled to hold you back --- so stubborn even when at the frailest of states. You demanded to see the Captain of the ship. And you did. You stood before the entire crew (they had been in a meeting) and Whitebeard, your gaze sharp as you profusely thanked him as well as scolded him for wasting such precious resources on you. You even yelled at the man, who had gone to protest your words, that you will simply ignore his words because you were just that stubborn. (you literally said that too!)

"You're stuck with me now, so don't even bother entertaining the idea of dropping me off on some island!"

The scene was absolutely hilarious but it was his first introduction to the type of person you were, the first time his heart lightly fluttered with something more.

After that day, he'd see you helping around the ship. You took to the crew like a fish took to water --- there was just this charm about you that drew people in.

And the fact that you wouldn't allow your illness to hold you back from exploring emotions, relationships, the world --- hell, he once scolded you for singing at the top of your lungs when you fell ill with pneumonia.

You were just that kind of person.

The sort who loved to bring joy to other people's hearts, even if that meant experiencing a little pain on your part.

And in return for all these things you've been making him feel, he'll reward you with subtle touches. Marco is more of an acts of services and subtly physical affections. Hands on the small of your back as they guide through a crowded room, him both reserving a seat during meal-time while also having already grabbed you a plate of your favorite foods before they could run out, standing in front of you to block out the hot sun, reminding you to drink water after a hard day's work, neatening your strays after having had the wind blow your hairs.

To Marco, actions speak louder than words. (The other Division Commanders definitely noticed it but surprisingly kept their mouths shut, except for Pops)

Whenever Whitebeard caught you and Marco within his field of vision, instantly he'd make a comment about how he couldn't wait for the day you got married, hoping that it'd be on his ship and with a specific blonde in mind. But that's one of his more subtle hints. His more bold ones were a bit more crude --- whenever Marco spoke to you, Pops would cry out for you guys to get a room. Amongst others things.

Pops expects a grandchild soon and the baby better resemble a pineapple

To be honest, for all the jagged edges of your persona, you readily turned into a teddy bear when you deemed it necessary. And by jagged edges, Marco refers to your various attempts of shying away when people get a little too close to you.

He noticed how great displays of emotions seem to scare you away; however, he loved how you would subtly adapt to these types of situations. When someone cried in your presence, you'd lightly caress them before looking for someone who could more effectively comfort them. Or when Ace gets a little over excited, a word or two and he'll be running in the direction of a possible victim with your guidance.

You're like him --- mellowed out.

A quiet day sitting where the wind could catch you just right was all it took for you to consider it a good day. Just like him.

It seems like you realized this because not long after, he found you constantly seeking out his presence. It started with you approaching him for some medical supplies or treatments for minor wounds, which soon ended up with you hanging about his office, reading a book. Just overall content to be in his presence.

There also came a time where you felt as though you were pestering him with your preference for his presence. So you took it upon yourself to put a stop to it. Opting to avoid seeking him out so much. For a whole week everyone, who knew whim well, could plainly see his irritation.

For the first time, he found himself hating one particular aspect about you --- your non-confrontational nature.

You were good for confronting injustices, stupidity, amongst others. But emotions? Nah.

It took Thatch luring you into the kitchen with the promise of dessert for him to corner you into your worst nightmare. The confrontation of feelings.

Had the situation not been heavy with tension, he'd have laughed at the comically horrified look on your face as you ate your dessert.

You could seriously be cute at the worst of moments.

But shit, this was you we're talking about. Beautifully stubborn you.

It took him all night to pry your walls down, and even then he still hadn't gotten to the core of your. So he used his secret weapon.

He confessed.

You quite literally fell out of the chair.

After that, the two of you obviously ended up together. Well, at least, after you worked out some of your traumas. Either way, let's just say that when the two of you made it officially, groans and cheers from the crew could be heard around as bags of money were passed around. With Pop's earning most of the bags as he grinned smugly.

It took you guys a year and a half to finally get together.

He didn't blame you for that. Marco knew it was hard for you, as hard as it was for him. She came to Moby Dick as a child and lived on it most of her life. - Do you want some food? There's rice, meat. I can make you some fresh tea. If you don't want some, that's okay. You don't have to eat. I don't want to force you.

“We’re not using those words,” Ace sighed

“Fuck you!” They screamed, trashing against him

He shook his head, tightening his hold on the child, and they entered the first mate quarters, placing down the child in the corner of the room

Marco followed after them, closing the door behind him after assuring Thatch they had it covered as he headed back to feed the crew

“Nope, you’re not going anywhere until you calm down and talk to us,” Ace said, blocking their way as they tried to slip away

“Fuck you! I hate you!”

“You can keep talking like that all you want; it will just make you stay here longer.” Marco shrugged

“Fuck you!” They sobbed as they began screaming at the top of their lungs, screams echoing across the room

“You’re just going to hurt your throat doing that,” Marco pointed out

Dokucha ignored them as they simply began to scream louder, kicking at the walls around them as they kept trying to slip away, only to be stopped by Ace each time

After a while, the child’s screams settled down; only small sniffles escaped them as they sat in the corner

“You ready to talk?” Questioned Ace softly

“Yeah,” they muttered, looking up at them

“So? Why did you do it?”

They stayed quiet, not looking at them

“Look at us.”

They ignored him, staring at the ground

“Dokucha, look at us,” repeated Marco sternly

They glance up at them at his words

“Why did you throw your food and run away?” He questioned, kneeling next to them

“I don’t know,” they mumbled

He sighed at this

“You think Thatch liked that?” He questioned

They shook his head

“Okay, so here is what we are going to do: we are going to go back to the kitchen, you are going to apologize to Thatch, and then you’re going to go talk with Pops about what happened,” he explained

“No! Don’t tell him!” They cried

“It’s too late for that Dokucha, we’re telling pops,” Ace told them

“No!” They whined

“You should have thought about that before you did it.”

They frown at that

“Are you ready to go apologize to Thatch?”

They nodded, taking hold of Ace’s extended hand as the three of them made it back to the kitchen, quickly finding Thatch, who, upon seeing them, stepped out of his cooking to approach them

They stayed quiet, fidgeting with the bracelet on their wrist as they shook it around

“Dokucha,” Marco called, a warning tone to his words

“If you are not ready to talk to Thatch, we can take another time-out in my room.”

They glance up at Thatch at the words, muttering a small ‘sorry’ their way

“Sorry for what?” Ace asked, prompting them to continue

“I'm sorry for being mean and throwing your food on the ground,” they finished

“That’s quite alright, pumkin’; it did make me sad to see you were acting like that; you think we could listen to my words next time?,” he asked, kneeling down in front of them

They nodded, giving the man a hug

“Thank you, Pumkin,” he said embracing them

“Alright, thank you for apologizing Dokucha, are you ready to go see pops?” Ace asked, picking them up and placing them on their hip

The child nodded, placing their head against his shoulder as they began walking to the Captain’s quarters

“Pops, you have a second?” Marco asked, knocking on the door, opening at the affirmative response from the older man

Whitebeard glanced at them, sending a questioning look, spotting the child in Ace’s arms

“They are having a rough day today, been rude towards everyone,” Marco elaborates at the unspoken questioned

Whitebeard let out a grunt, waving the two men off as the fireman put them down and walked out of the room, Marco following behind him

“Why are you being a brat today?” He questioned, cutting to the chase

“I'm not…”

“Really? Then what would you call what you have been today? Cause it sounds like you have been a petulant child all day long.”

“Sorry”

He sighed, gesturing them to come closer, plucking them into their lap as they did

“Dokucha, we are not your parents; we don’t have any plans to abandon you.”

“I know”

“You're not showing it,” he quips back

“When you want our attention, you just have to ask us; we are not like them; you don’t have to waste yourself away trying to do the impossible just to be praised; you need just ask, and any of us is thrilled to be with you, so instead of acting like this talk to us, alright?”

You laid in bed after a long day. The Whitebeard Pirates arrived at a new island earlier that morning, and you went out to shop for supplies that the ship needed. Not to mention having to drag Ace out of a bar and back to the ship for falling asleep in his food again.

Just as you were about to fall asleep you heard a knock on the door, Marco and Ace poking their head in.

“Hey you awake-yoi?” Marco asked softly, before Ace barged in and jumped on you.

You groaned, hitting the mera mera user and pushing him off you.

“I am now.” You frowned, still feeling sleepy.

“Ace, you need to be more careful.” Marco scolded him.

He walked in, closing the door behind him. Walking over to the bed, Marco climbed in next to you, pulling you close as you laid your head on his chest.

“What? They were awake. I can’t have fun?” Ace pouted.

“I didn’t say that, but they were almost asleep-yoi.” Marco said.

“Just lay down and cuddle me already.” You said, pulling Ace down to lay behind you.

Marco chuckled at how cute you were being, your face squished against his chest and a sleepy expression evident on your face. You pulled Ace’s around to wrap around your waist, shifting to get comfortable.

“You’re so endearing when you’re half asleep.” Marco smiled, kissing the top of your head.

“Whatever you say.” You smiled sleepily up at him before you eventually fell asleep.

“They’re too cute.” Ace said, kissing the top of your head.

“That they are-yoi.” Marco chuckled.
