Post One for the Women Writing Fiction Challenge. Next month I'm joining this challenge and I'll also be fundraising for Cancer Council Australia's March Charge Campaign in honour of my friend Joanne. When I first moved to Toowoomba over a decade ago now Jo was my first friend, she was also my favourite walking buddy, even during her radium and chemo we'd get out and go for a trot. Honestly, that woman was fearless. And she always encouraged me to finish my damn book! Jo passed away after a four year battle with lung cancer but those we love are never gone when we keep them alive in our hearts.
