This was supposed to just be a background for a Silly Drawing but I got. Carried away with the TARDIS Design of it all. Eighteenth Doctor's TARDIS!
[ID: Digital drawing of a tardis console room, in shades of brass, gray, gold and brown, with red wire mesh floor paths. Glowing pipes- like pneumatic tubes- grow out of the central oclumn like a tree and enter various octagonal slots in the wall. A beige chair faces the far side of rhe console, and behind it s door, with more red mesh in the window. A strange dimensiona support column is embedded in the other wall. /End ID]
The chair can travel on a rail around the console!
#its all. vaguely industrial but also takes the mysterious organic vibes of some of my fave new who tardis designs.#marble and slate and clay and steel...#qnd theiretically you could see the Depths below the mesh floor like 11s tardis but idk if it shows in the drawing#my art#eighteenth doctor#the support column was mesnt to be like. yknow those zigzagy types of steel beam? what if that but instead of the zigzag bein 2d#its 3d and based on a mobius strip. time lord engineering sensibilities!

@elouann / and though he thought the fire of hell had scorched him, it was an entirely different light that cleansed at soiled flesh and seared ; not in anger, but in anguish / plotted, for the dragon in white.
‘ —YOU ARE UNCLEAN. ’
marble breaks under insurmountable pressure, but it does not crack as loud as stone, where the saturation of his face falls below the pristine whites, gets muddied in sand and salt, and turns to HALITE: crusted between the crevices from friction. river rock washes dark as water rushes over it, the rapids causing deeper fissures under the skin by the time it reaches clay eyes. the deep browns hold as a dam against his plights. but the same skin that splits like rock also SHATTERS LIKE GLASS and, delicately, he becomes unwound.
marble breaks, the tide of his eyes changing. WOOD to AMBER to GOLD. and he becomes a husk for the power that swells within him, the surge of aether pushed between his veins like the strike of lightning on sand. FULGURITE and he is a fossilized precipice ; DANGEROUS — but it does not move to spill blood. rather, the archway behind him crumbles under an invisible hand, covering the room with dust and leaving him trapped in front of the rubble ( no escape, only FATE ). nothing but heavy breathing and loud footsteps follow the crash of his destruction. he is petrified, and yet, the rupture of his soul commences. it is a spiral, a crystal pool that whirls beneath the pinching of his brows and the breath at his lips. with each minor twitch of skin and bone, he draws his blade and waits.
‘ it would be a mercy ; die for cause, redeem your flesh in blood. ’
his steel waivers. the other stops in front of him, having witnessed his unholy conundrum, seen the ways his crystalline gaze illuminated in the color of the heavens and, with but a breath, he broke down the structure behind him as if he commanded it to fall. trapping them in. letting others out. volatile, hungry voices still echoed heavy in their chamber, swirling around panting and shifting, metal clinking against metal.
‘ abandoned ?? IT IS A MERCY for we do not KILL YOU where you stand. ’ ‘ then i shall die here so that you may leave and live beyond me. and i shall die indeed, i shall die indeed. ’
a cough erupts between them as the debris from his outburst settled. gilded eyes rest upon white and steel and iron. blonde and brown. a face that was stern becomes soft at his gaze and he FROWNS ( he is fragile, seething under pale and trembling flesh, for he feels the fires of all hells burn within him and boil his blood — UNCLEAN, and he ruptures again, even if it is only visible behind the glassiness of his eyes ). he does not want to be looked at like that, like his enemy knows that his heart is aching, like his adversary can see that he has resigned himself to death to save those who remain UNGRATEFUL. he was already stirring mad, overcome with confusion and loss, he did not need the other's pity ; he did not need COMPASSION when it has NEVER BEEN GIVEN before.
insanity must be shared, as well as loss, as well as fragility, for in the few moments where they look at each other in silence, he realizes he is not the only thing that is breaking. struck like axe to wood and splintering, he is not the only parting piece that struggles to be whole. his enemy shifts and he feels it before he sees it, TRUE FLAME, true light in the dark that overwhelms his gaze until he is squinting against it. a gust of air parts the dust so that vision is CLEAR and it is like LOOKING AT THE SUN ; under white, under skin, there is not bone and blood but RIGID SLATE-COLORED SCALES and a blinding cold light that burns BLUE, settles hot in his throat until he thinks he is choking. the color of ice, the salted ocean water filling his lungs, but it singes where it touches in the same way that it suffocates where it drowns, filling every crack of his body with sensation. so PURE, undiluted in power, mixed with heaviness ; bearing weight, substance, DESTINY in its sticky claws.
he shutters. the tragedy on his face contorts to fear, then something entirely other ( awe ?? bewilderment ?? ). arthur finally speaks and there is a guttural sound in his throat that erupts into a foreign language ( haearanni, and it is an old word that is rough in the mouth as it grates against the ears ). within his tone, there is a silent reverence and a subtle question. ( “ dragon, you shine too brightly for your own good. go away. — ” ) it is odd that he does not seem to talk directly to the man across from him, for his words are meant for OTHER ( other, other, other — it swirls his mind in confusion, fuels contempt at his bones because he is also other but he does not burn so bright. who is this other ?? is this what a god looks like ?? ).
he does not regard dion ( the prince, the soldier, the human ) until their eyes meet. finally, he thinks he sees a MAN and not a MONSTER and he is reminded of compassion, of kindness, of love. and it breaks him further ; he does not want to kill man, he does not want to be killed by man either. AND YET HE WILL, because he has been condemned to do so. his mission failed, his body abandoned. he has no where else to go. he has no other delusion to run to.
his sword is shaking ( trembling in his weakness and he scorns himself, scorns the world, then falls quiet knowing that his kind heart cannot latch onto hatred long enough to swell ), and he pulls the weapon up between them to create distance in desperation. golden eyes fluctuate in the light, twisting with aether that fills the room in a dense presence, though it is hardly denser than the looming threat to life under an eikon's watchful gaze. his thinning lips part again and, this time, it is a common tongue that leaves him, soft-spoken and underwhelming. “ and so is it my fate to be passed from hand to hand, from one god to another ?? it is a mercy that i should not be afforded. ” he pauses, tongue thick in his mouth, a bile erupting that causes his face to wrinkle in concern and pain. he must be going crazy indeed ; he cannot help the void settling in his chest, the stirring of emotions and thoughts that spill from him, TORN ASUNDER under the burning blue light of the moon and the stars ( wrapped in the image of the sun, THE HOLY — IT MUST BE !! a glimpse of the parting sky, the falling rain, the fulfilling touch of peace and then it FALLS FROM HIS GRASP, just out of reach — dion looks to him and he is suddenly, quietly weeping ).
“ you must accept my apology — it is just me here. i am sure you are worthy of much more, but i cannot allow you any further. i cannot, i cannot. ”
#( ff16 / v. on our own terms )#elouann#( i am buzzing ! so excited ! let me know if this is okay!! happy to change anything as needed )

Exploring the Latest Trends and What to Know About Kitchen Floor Tiles
At Karara, we understand that the kitchen is the heart of any home. It is a space where functionality meets style, and choosing the right floor tiles can significantly enhance the overall aesthetics and practicality of your kitchen. In this article, we will explore the latest trends in kitchen floor tiles and provide you with essential information to help you make an informed decision for your kitchen renovation or design project.
1. Timeless Elegance with Natural Stone Tiles
Natural stone tiles, such as marble, travertine, and slate, continue to be a popular choice for kitchen floors. These tiles bring a sense of timeless elegance and natural beauty to the space. The unique veining patterns and color variations in natural stone create a visually stunning backdrop for your modern kitchen floor tiles. However, it's important to note that natural stone tiles require proper sealing and maintenance to ensure their longevity and durability in a high-traffic area like the kitchen.
2. Contemporary Chic with Porcelain Tiles
Porcelain tiles are highly versatile and offer an extensive range of designs, colors, and finishes. They are an excellent choice for kitchen floors due to their durability, water resistance, and easy maintenance. The latest trends in porcelain tiles for kitchens include large format tiles, concrete-look tiles, and wood-look tiles. Large format tiles create a seamless and sleek appearance, while concrete-look tiles add a touch of industrial chic. Wood-look tiles provide the warmth and beauty of natural wood with the added benefits of porcelain.
3. Bold Patterns with Encaustic Cement Tiles
Encaustic cement tiles are making a comeback in kitchen designs. These handcrafted tiles feature intricate patterns and vibrant colors, adding a unique and artistic touch to your kitchen floor. Whether you opt for geometric patterns, floral motifs, or Moroccan-inspired designs, encaustic cement tiles create a visually captivating focal point in the kitchen. It's important to seal and maintain these tiles properly to preserve their beauty and longevity.
4. Rustic Charm with Terracotta Tiles
For those seeking a warm and rustic aesthetic, terracotta tiles are an excellent choice for kitchen floors. These clay-based tiles exude a cozy and welcoming vibe, adding character and charm to your kitchen. Terracotta tiles are available in various earthy tones and finishes, complementing a wide range of kitchen styles, from traditional farmhouse to Mediterranean-inspired designs. However, it's crucial to seal terracotta tiles properly and be mindful of their susceptibility to stains and scratches.
5. Sleek and Modern with Large Marble-look Porcelain Slabs
Large marble-look porcelain slabs offer a luxurious and sophisticated appearance without the maintenance concerns associated with natural marble. These large-format slabs create a seamless and grandiose effect, making a bold statement in your kitchen. The realistic veining and color variations mimic the elegance of natural marble, while the durability and ease of maintenance make them a practical choice for busy kitchens.
6. Industrial Vibes with Concrete Tiles
Concrete tiles have gained popularity in contemporary kitchen designs, offering an industrial chic aesthetic. These tiles showcase a raw and minimalist appeal that pairs well with sleek stainless steel appliances and minimalist cabinetry. Concrete tiles are available in a range of finishes, from smooth to textured, allowing you to customize the look and feel of your kitchen floor.
7. Sustainable and Eco-friendly with Recycled Glass Tiles
For environmentally conscious homeowners, recycled glass tiles are an eco-friendly choice for kitchen floors. These tiles are made from recycled glass bottles and offer a beautiful and sustainable alternative. Recycled glass tiles come in a variety of colors and finishes, adding a unique and vibrant touch to your kitchen while contributing to a greener environment.
8. Classic Appeal with Ceramic Tiles
Ceramic tiles have long been a popular choice for kitchen floors due to their durability, versatility, and affordability. These tiles come in an extensive range of colors, patterns, and sizes, allowing you to create a customized look for your kitchen. Whether you prefer a timeless monochrome design or a vibrant mosaic pattern, ceramic tiles offer endless possibilities to suit your style and preferences.
9. Practicality and Safety with Slip-resistant Tiles
Safety is a paramount concern in kitchen design, especially when it comes to the flooring. Slip-resistant tiles provide an excellent solution for kitchens, where spills and water splashes are common. These tiles are specially designed with textured surfaces to enhance traction and prevent accidents. With slip-resistant tiles, you can have peace of mind knowing that your kitchen floor offers a safe environment for cooking and daily activities.
10. Considerations for Maintenance and Durability
When selecting kitchen floor tiles, it's essential to consider their maintenance requirements and durability. High-traffic areas like kitchens require tiles that can withstand frequent use and spills. Porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone tiles are known for their durability and ease of maintenance. Ensure that the chosen tiles are resistant to stains, scratches, and moisture, making them suitable for the demands of a busy kitchen.
Conclusion
Choosing the right floor tiles for your kitchen is a crucial decision that impacts both the aesthetics and functionality of the space. Whether you prefer the timeless elegance of natural stone, the contemporary chic of porcelain, or the artistic flair of encaustic cement, Karara offers a wide range of options to suit your style and meet your kitchen needs.
Consider the trends and factors discussed in this article, keeping in mind your personal preferences, maintenance requirements, and budget. A well-designed kitchen floor can elevate the overall appeal of your kitchen, creating a welcoming and stylish space where you can enjoy cooking and gathering with loved ones.

A lot of places are named after historical events, battles, and people, so keep that in mind. God/Goddess names tied to your world also work well. Places are also often named after things that the area is known for, like Georgia being known for its peaches.
My brain was fried by the end of this so feel free to add more!
I hope you find this reference helpful and good luck world-building!
