[binder-masterlist]

Wanted to send a suggested binder company. They are called Mansculpture. (Unfortunate binary language aside) I have used their binders for a decade, and while pricey, they last a long time, have a neoprene strip to prevent the fabric riding up, and bind decently well. I dont have spoons or time to make a full review right now however.

Do any of the mods have experience with body masculinization surgery? I just recently heard about it and I feel like I might want to go for that over T because I'm transmasc but I feel most dysphoria about my body shape, and not many of the other changes that T makes. But I wanted to know what other people thought of it.

so, the single most dysphoric part to me is my hips and I was wondering (money is not an issue) if there are any uk practitioners that perform liposuction for ftms? i know that there are in the us but never heard of it happening in the uk. also, if yes what would it cost just for the hips and do you know of any results pictures of this being done in any country? thanks

I believe Miles Berry and Andrew Yelland have both been known to perform hip liposuction, though it would only be available privately and I have only heard of people having it alongside top surgery (which could skew the quoted prices). I expect they would be open to enquiries about performing it on its own, though.

Re: prices, I’m afraid I have no idea, though hopefully we have followers who can pass on any information they have - and you could contact the surgeons to see if they could give you a quote.

Re: photos, the only ones I’m aware of are in gendercube’s ‘mansculpture’ tag - though again, if followers know of any more, hopefully they can chip in.

Interesting and impressive, this Pre-Columbian style sculpture depicts a seated man with a tilted head. Very reminiscent of the famous sculptures made by Henry Moore. I do not know who made this sculpture or when it was made. From the condition of the painted finish I’m guessing 1960’s maybe 1950’s? This sculpture is very heavy (7.9 lbs.). I think this is made of some kind of metal (bronze or iron). When you thump the sculpture the top half sounds hollow but the bottom half is obviously solid. The color of the finish is a rusty reddish brown - like antique South American clay sculptures. Crazy that I'm 4 days post op !

Extremely bloated and greasy hair but I couldn't be happier so far. I had top surgery and Mansculpture with Dr. Garramone in Davie, Florida on January 31st 2017. I could not be more pleased with not only his staff, the hospital staff, but the results as well. I took pain medication for only a day and a half (including surgery day) and have been off them since. The pain has been extremely tolerable and way less than I expected. I already have a lot of feeling in my chest back and every day my drains get clearer. The hardest part I would say is sleeping, it can be rather uncomfortable but for sure tolerable. I will have my chest reveal on the 6th (Monday) and I can't wait to get these drains out. I haven't felt the itch yet which is a bonus! It will take about a year to see the full results from the mansculpture but I am already so happy with the results even with the amount of swelling. I would highly highly recommend Dr. G to anyone looking to have surgery! I never ever thought this day would come and it's only going to get better from here! The phrases 'love handles' and 'saddle bags' aren't just agitating to FTMs. They're a part of the language of self-disgust that all women are taught. One of the patriarchally-approved techniques we are given to soothe ourselves is externalizing this shame, so it's also how many women talk about body fat in general. A brief google search for 'love handle liposuction' is enough to establish that it is how the majority of cosmetic surgeons refer to the flanks. 'Muffin top' is a another term that is repeatedly present.

These can only be considered 'medical terms' insofar as anything a man with the right degree declares undesirable on a woman can be constructed as sickness. These medical professionals are pathologizing the patient's divergence from their patriarchal vision of perfect beauty - their woman-hating standards of appearance. It is coercive to deliberately activate shame in a woman who has been made vulnerable through an incredibly misogynistic society in order to convince her that removing healthy tissue will solve her emotional problems, whether it's two pounds from her thighs or the flesh of both breasts. The 'brand identity' Garramone has developed is brazen woman-hating with a new twist.
