imagine a total drama dead plate au and replace vincent and rody w ur fav rarepair and manon w that one character where the person who's rody always gets shipped with
a rlly good example would be gwourtney, gwen is vincent and rody is courtney, while manon is duncan or something (which is funny since vincent canonically has dated manon b4 she dated rody)
if y haven't heard of dead plate pls get into it it's a good horror game free on itch.io 🙏

Miraculous: Memorial
Chapter One is up on AO3 and Posted here. Chaps. 1 and 2 are very short.
Chapter 1: Memorial (Present Day)
This is where my world fell apart. The Eiffel Tower, ironically, one of our favorite places, now a place of sorrow for so many. We finally brought Hawk Moth down, but the cost…the cost was too much. It’s been a year now, and the pain is still as sharp as it was that day. The city was coming together as much for the celebrations of lives lost as for the defeat of Hawk Moth and Mayura.
Rena Rouge looked out at the crowd, took a deep breath, and began this most difficult task.
“We all lost someone this day a year ago,” she said. “Two hundred and twenty-one souls lost.”
Two hundred and nineteen actually, but only the three of us know that. Is it wrong that I would add to the count one more if it changed things for me? For us?
“I won’t go into details of what happened here. It still haunts my dreams as I know it does those of everyone here and so many more around this city.”
Hawk Moth had come out of his lair as one of his most dangerous and deadly akuma raged across Paris. Already nearly thirty people had vanished in a vile black mist. Their screams ripped the peace of the day in a way more terrifying than any other akuma up to that time. People didn’t just disappear or pop out of existence like usual. Fear and pain could be seen on their faces as their cries of pain punctuated the cost of their skin ripping from them as they turned to ash.
“In Memoriam to those who were lost, I will read the names of our beloved.”
We chased the akuma across town as he dropped his devastating bombs on men, women, and children, with no thought for the innocent. The body count reached 30 dead and continued to rise as nothing we did could stop him.
“Berdine Brodeur…Béatrice De La Fontaine…Timothée Thibault…Anouska Langlais…Germaine Dumont…Juleka Couffaine…” [Underlined names are of my school mates, our families, and others that are part of my world.]
Hawk Moth attacked us as we tried to bring his monster to an end. Over 90 dead, and the battle showed no likelihood of ending.
“…Cyrille Deniau…Raulf Segal…Marian Joubert…Agnès Simon…Alix Kubdel…Lê Chiến Kim…”
There was a park full of children, families…children.
“…Gaston Vincent…Chloé Duval…Sabrina Raincomprix…Roger Raincomprix…”
We almost got him at the Arc de Triumph, but Hawk Moth again interfered, and the count was up to 130.
“…Odilon Paternoster…Modeste Tremble…Acelet Gagnier…Chloe Bourgeois…Nadja Chamack…Manon Chamack…”
The akuma never slowed down. They made no claims, no demands, gave no name. 150 and we realized that they were heading toward the Eiffel Tower.
“…Lunete Lefèvre…Annette Félix…Nihel Lamar…Teri Duncan…Theo Cohen…Larry Bush…Marlena Césaire…Etta Césaire…Mylene Haprele…”
Hawk Moth claimed this could all stop if we gave him our Miraculous. Just stop fighting and the akuma goes away. We have never been closer or further away from giving in. 180. The count was as much in our heads as the terror was.
“…Ziyad Matar…Jabril Masood…Senta Forst…Gita Pall…Tom Dupain… André Glasier… Rose Lavillant…”
At the Tower, the akuma dropped to the ground in a crowd of fifty people. Hawk Moth landed on one of the observation decks. The son-of-a-bitch laughed. Unheard by all but a few, “Lucky Charm” dropped an odd-looking crystal into the waiting hand. With no more hesitation, we rushed Hawk Moth.
“Raulf Segal… Bianca Lyon…Marinette Dupain-Cheng…Léonard Baudin…and last, Ladybug, Hero of Paris.”
Ladybug got to Hawk Moth and did the only thing she could, I guess. She grabbed him and took him over the edge of the observation deck. They fell, Hawk Moth trying to turn around to get to Ladybug’s earrings, and My beautiful Lady holding until near the end. She pushed away from Hawk Moth and pulled the crystal to her chest. The akuma threw down one of his bombs and was driven to the ground by a flailing Hawk Moth. Ladybug didn’t even hit the ground. The bomb had gone off and the black cloud killed fifty souls in an instant. Hawk Moth and Ladybug both died that day. The war with Hawk Moth was over but at too high a cost.
“Please share a moment of silence with me in memory of our friends and loved ones!” Rena Rouge finished the list, and I will never know how she did it. Tears ran down her cheeks, but she read the list without pause. She made it through the names of fourteen members of her class at school, her mother and one of the twins, and some of the family of others she knew. She read the name of her best friend twice. Both her given name and the name all of France knew her by.
After the moment of silence, Rena thanked all who came to the memorial and sent them on their way. She caught my eye as she left the stage, to meet up with Carapace. The two Heroes of Paris disappeared onto the roofs and into the early evening shadows.
I will not flatter myself that my grief was greater than that of anyone else. Over 200 people died, and I was not the only one whose family was ripped apart. But in the moment, on that day, my world came crashing down around me.
I turned and hugged Sabine. For a minute I didn’t dare let go. We were all that we had of our family. Somewhere in the mix of names read by Rena was my father’s name. I felt no pain hearing it, only profound anger. It’s ironic that at the mention of his name, I would have been a perfect candidate for one of his cursed akuma.
Chapter 2 "Anguish (One Year Ago)" will post on Wednesday, Nov. 18

This golden-toned wood produces wands of splendid magical powers, which give of their best in the hands of the warm-hearted, the generous and the wise. Possessors of pear wands are, in my experience, usually popular and well-respected. I do not know of a single instance where a pear wand has been discovered in the possession of a Dark witch or wizard. Pear wands are among the most resilient, and I have often observed that they may still present a remarkable appearance of newness, even after many years of hard use.

Whilst I was off sick I decided to work my behind off and sell some older book box merch so I could afford to buy April’s The Dark Side box from OwlCrate cause I knew it sounded like my cup of tea.
I was over the moon when it arrived as whilst I’ve already mentioned that BookHookedBox was my favourite due to not having to unhaul any item, this was definitely the close second because I adored most of the items inside and could tell instantly I didn’t waste my money.
By now everyone’s box has definitely arrived so keep reading to see what we got and what I thought of each item.
E X C L U S I V E C O V E R
The main reason I wanted this box was for an exclusive cover of Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan who I am ready to steal my heart tbh. I seem to have a fondness for people who live in Ohio.
I’m really happy that they went with a simple colour swap because I really do think the black cover fits the synopsis a lot more. It’s very striking.
As with most of the boxes these days, we also got a lovely author letter and the book was signed by Emily too.
Additionally a fabric print of the map from the story was included which is definitely a fancy extra. At the moment I have it inside the book still but it would be lovely to frame one day.
I’m very excited to pick this book up soon. It sounds like my cuppa tea.

You might’ve noticed from the first photograph in this post that we were really spoiled in April. I’m a huge fan of the scarf as it’s going to be a lovely accessory for the colder summer days, easy to pack in a bag too should the wind drop away. Full Item List: – Six of Crows socks from Out of Print – Lightweight scarf inspired by The Darkling (Shadow and Bone) by Bookmarkd Tattoos – A black pin banned from Michelle Gray – Hardcover notebook inspired by Manon (Throne of Glass) by Stella Bookish Art – Phone holder inspired by Vicious from Hey Atlas Creative – Collectable pin, also designed by Hey Atlas Creative and inspired by Nadya (Wicked Saints) – Finale by Stephanie Garber sneak peak sampler – Art print + spoiler information card
I haven’t yet found a use for the notebook but I love the design of this one and its hardcover means damage is unlikely to happen. At the moment it has a place next to my desk should ideas arise.
I also love the phone holder but I’m really sad that I can’t use it. Yet. My current phone case has a lovely illustration of a Shiba on and it glows in the dark. So there is no chance in hell I’m covering that up. I have been on the search for a phone holder I liked enough to then buy a patterned phone case to pair up with it and this will definitely do.
However, the was unfortunately one item I wasn’t a fan of. I’m probably in the minority here. Its the Six of Crows socks. As someone with slightly larger feet I absolutely hate getting socks in book subscription boxes as they’re either too small from the get go or shrink after 1 or 2 washes. By default now I just rehome them as I’m fed up of small socks.
Overall though it really is a fab box. My complaint is definitely only a small personal one, so I’m over the moon! Oh, and the inside of Wicked Saints is just as lovely too…

Isadora’s Children
Among the most influential figures in dance of the 20th century, Isadora Duncan faced a horrible tragedy in 1913 when her infant children both drowned while in the care of their nanny as their runaway car plunged into the Seine. During her grieving process, Duncan choreographed a three-part piece called ‘Mother’ as a means to express her heartbreak.
Written and directed by former dancer and acrobat Damien Manivel (who won the Best Director prize at Locarno in 2019), the delicate and deliberately-paced Isadora’s Children is cut into three distinct parts, each exploring how the lives of three sets of women – all of different ages and backgrounds – are touched by ‘Mother’.
In the first section, a pensive young choreographer (Agathe Bonitzer) feels her way through the piece’s movements and studies Duncan’s writings. The second concerns a more talkative older dance teacher (Marika Rizzi) and her early teens student (Manon Carpentier) rehearsing ‘Mother’ for a recital. After that performance (which is unseen), the final stretch follows an elderly audience member (Elsa Wolliaston) moved to tears by what she has seen. Manivel captures her solitary journey home and observes how ‘Mother’ sticks with her long into the night.
Wolliaston, who plays the concluding part’s unnamed protagonist, is in real life a choreographer living in France, attributed with helping develop contemporary African dance in mainland Europe in the 1970s.
In the context of the film, she’s not presented as having any apparent ties to dance in a professional capacity, but as someone so deeply touched by the evocation of maternal grief that she’s inspired to perform ‘Mother’ from memory in her home, her sole audience being any spirit linked to the young boy in a framed photograph next to which she lights a candle.
In a film filled with a palpable, intense love for the desire to emotionally connect to art, this finale proves transcendent.
The post Isadora’s Children appeared first on Little White Lies.

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words and to participate all you have to do is answer the three W’s listed below. Once you’ve posted your WWW, drop a link to your post in Sam’s comments <3’s!
The questions: 1. What are you currently reading? 2. What did you recently finish reading? 3. What do you think you’ll read next?
Who else is experiencing all of their library holds coming in at once? 🤷🏻♀️I wasn’t expecting my 8 week long holds to show up on my Available Now shelf & now I’m thinking its time to get serious about possibly creating a TBR? 🙈DREAD that for me! 😂 but I also don’t want to pass up this opportunity. I’m choosing to divvy up my reads between eGalleys & Library holds for the time being. This all the while I try to stop myself from falling into the next binge worthy Netflix show. All bets are off if we get anything along the lines of The Tiger King cause 🤦🏻♀️I can’t help watching the circus #jussayin! These books down below are what I’d like to focus on while I work from home 🖤
INCENDIARY (HOLLOW CROWN #1) BY ZORAIDA CORDOVA-I’m 170 pages into this book & can honestly say it will probably make my top 20 of 2020. Described by many as being inspired by 15th century Spain and the Inquisition, this is in my opinion Zoraida Cordova’s best book yet. Having read two of the Brooklyn Brujas books, I can see the growth in this authors writing. The world building is EXACTLY what I look for in Fantasy, to see this well done in YA Fantasy makes it stand out all the more. Incendiary deals with rebels & spies who are conspiring to bring down a kingdom hell bent on eradicating those of Moria descent. More specifically those who are wielders of magic. HOOKED & totally invested in these characters! 🙌🏽
FROM TWINKLE, WITH LOVE BY SANHYA MANON-30% into this audiobook & am loving all of the cheesy smiles this book is getting out of me. Twinkle is a MC who hasn’t found her voice yet when dealing with confrontation. However, she has BIG dreams & a hunger to one day be a filmmaker. I’m still early on in the story but I’m enjoying so far seeing Twinkle, a self appointed wallflower come into her own while also falling in love.
DOCILE BY K.M. SZPARA (My Review)-This is a dark one Bookworms! My review does have content warnings, it is a M/M BDSM Adult Sci-Fi/Dystopian. Docile is quite the page turner that will probably keep you reading at all hours of the night. I rated this one 3.5 stars because of the way that it ended. It’s not a bad rating at all but I did feel rather uncomfortable with how certain things played out. I would however still check out any of this authors future works.
RUTHLESS GODS (SOMETHING DARK & HOLY #1) BY EMILY A. DUNCAN -I have a review in the works for this highly anticipated sequel here on the blog. I rated this one 4 stars & really am looking forward to the final book in this trilogy. I’ll admit I struggled with about 50% of the book, pacing was definitely an issue. It took us a while to get to the climax but once it was reached it took off & had me fully enthralled. I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, The Darkling from Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse has NOTHING on Malachiasz! this guy is 50 shades of complex & as such, will leave you feeling just as messed up smh 😂
MY DARK VANESSA BY KATE ELIZABETH RUSSELL –“Exploring the psychological dynamics of the relationship between a precocious yet naïve teenage girl and her magnetic and manipulative teacher, a brilliant, all-consuming read that marks the explosive debut of an extraordinary new writer.” – I’ve been mentally preparing myself as best I could for this read & when I received the notification from Libby I knew it was Go time!
CLAP WHEN YOU LAND BY ELIZABETH ACEVEDO -This author is one of my favorite auto-buy authors, The Poet X & With the Fire On High were both 5 star reads for me last year. Seeing this title hit Edelweiss I quickly hit request & hoped for the best. No other title has made me feel this HYPED up to receive an approval email. This see Acevedo return to her well known written in verse format I absolutely LOVE! I was almost hesitant to request this book simply because if you’ve listened to any of her audiobooks that she narrated herself, you’d understand the raw quality behind this authors voice. Two girls separated by distance share the same father however neither know of each others existence. It isn’t until they’re made aware of his passing on a plane crash that their lives connect. BEYOND the moon grateful to have received an early copy! 🙌🏽
