happy holidays kittens!

it's been a busy few months for me but i want to do something nice for this fandom during the festivities!

i’ve done some individual christmas gifts in the previous years for some of my mutuals, but this year is a little different because of the quietness of the fandom and because i have left this at the last minute.

this year i've decided that i want to do some type of chrismas wish moodboards to other people, so simply:

we don't have to be mutuals, but this post is for the harry potter community and i've written this to my own corner of the fandom in particular

still i’m not going to put too many limits to this as i’m interested to see what you come up with and what you all are passionate about right now!

i don't know how many of you are interested, but if for some reason there are many requests then note that it might take a little time for me to make these. i will try to do all of them still. if for some reason i can’t then i’ll inform you about it! if on the other hand there are not that many requests -or if i get super into this- then i might be able to do more than one for a person, but i'll message to you directly if that's the case!

i think that it would takes some time for delaney and kitty to become friends. mostly on delaney’s part because when she first arrives at stars hollow and chilton, she’s trying desperately to hide the fact that her father was arrested for white collar crimes (tax evasion, fraud) and that her family lost nearly everything. delaney’s trying to hide that she’s on scholarship at chilton and has “poor little rich girl” vibes. but once you get beyond all of that, i think that delaney and kitty would get along quite well. they’ve got different interests, but delaney could possibly join chilton’s track team. and anyways, once delaney becomes friends with ricky, it would be inevitable that she became acquainted with kitty. and of course, kitty would probably tease delaney about ricky.

Kitty & Ricky

Okay, okay, so I think they would get along pretty well, and they would definitely be closer to each other than to Rory, mostly because they're both the sports kids. I think they would really support each other and recognise their achievements more than the rest of the family does. Even though Kitty is a little more academically oriented than Ricky seems to be I think she would understand his point of view and maybe even try to mediate a little during some of his fights with Lorelai. Similar to that Ricky would calm her when Kitty starts to spiral when there's a new disappointment from Christopher. All in all I think they would have a positive relationship. Oh, and she would definitely tease him about Delaney.

Leo & Levi

Oh, why do I have a feeling they would start an "abandoned by the gilmores" club after all the Gilmore kids transfer to Chilton? Maybe they would even rope Lane into it. I think they would cross paths more often than not. Also with her ambition and his underachieving nature mixed with both of them being sarcastic it would provide the most entertaining banter whenever they are around each other.

Yes, Kitty is Rory's twin, full name Christine May Gilmore. Loosely named after Christopher, which is precisely the reason why she prefers to go by "Kitty." She obtained the nickname after she recruited half of Stars Hollow to catch stray cats in town and find them new homes.

She's kind of an odd one in the household because, unlike her mother and sister, not only does she enjoy sports, but she's the star of her school's track team. This often lead to them not understanding each other. Nevertheless, they all match each other's wit, humour, and addiction for coffee. As for her grandparents they are a little dismissive towards her athletic achievements, unfortunately and especially Emily is insulted when they learn that Kitty will attend Chilton on a scholarship. Her relationship with Christopher is a whole other can of worms.

Okay, so as I am rewatching the show now, I slowly plot things for Kitty as I go, so for now, I only have a loose outline of how she fits into it. As of season 1 I'd say the most important episode for her is ep 11 'Paris is Burning' as this is when she starts at Chilton, and tries to find her place there between her Twin, the school buzzing with rumours about her mother and her being a scholarship kid there.

A 2000s song for her would be Complicated by Avril Lavigne. You would definitely hear Kitty scream-singing it in her room at certain points in her story.

She's team Yale! She's not as obsessed with it as Rory is with Harvard, but she is interested in their sports program and aspires to study there eventually.
