Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was hospitalized late on Sunday, after he grumbled of lack of hydration and low blood pressure.In an announcement issued here, the Chief Minister's Office said that Parrikar was admitted to the Goa Medical College close Panaji."The Chief Minister had drying out and was encouraged to get himself admitted to the GMC.

Manohar Parrikar to return to Goa from Mumbai hospital on Wednesday
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is currently admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai for a review health check-up, will return to his home state on August 29, his office said in Panaji on Monday.
Parrikar, 62, had flown to Mumbai on August 23 and was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital there.
"Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to return to Goa on Wednesday," the Chief Minister's Office said in a single-line statement.
Earlier this year, Parrikar had undergone treatment in the US for nearly three months for a pancreatic ailment and returned in the last week of June.
He went to the US again earlier this month for a follow-up.
He then returned to Panaji on August 22 and the next day flew to Mumbai.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has been released from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital and is set to travel to the United States of America (U.S.A.) in the early hours of Wednesday for further medical treatment. The Personal Secretary (PS) to Chief Minister Parrikar, Rupesh Kamat, on Tuesday said, “As advised by the doctors at Lilavati hospital in Mumbai, the chief minister is leaving tonight to U.S.A. for further treatment.”
On Monday, Parrikar had informed that he might travel abroad for curing his medical ailment. In a video message, Parrikar stated that he would travel abroad, depending on the advice given to him by the doctors here, and also thanked the natives of his state for their well wishes.
Before heading to Mumbai, Parrikar, on Monday, called a meeting with state’s chief secretary Dharmendra Sharma and Principal Secretary to CM P. Krishnamurthy and formed a cabinet advisory committee to take administrative decisions in his absence. The former defence minister was hospitalised at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on February 15 following mild pancreatitis problems and was discharged from there on February 22.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was hospitalised again in Mumbai on Monday, 11 days after being discharged following treatment for a pancreatic ailment. Maharashtra Revenue Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Chandrakant Patil told PTIthat Parrikar was re-admitted to the Lilavati hospital for the next course of his treatment. In a video message, Parrikar, 62, who flew in Mumbai from Panaji earlier in the day, appealed people to continue praying for his health. “I am thankful for all. In the last 15 days you have been praying for me and you have blessed me because of which I got well and to get fully cured I may go abroad,” Parrikar said in the message. “The way you have prayed for me and blessed me, I hope to get the same thing during my treatment there. I expect that you all will allow me a leave for some days from the state for the treatment,” he said. Before leaving the Goa capital, he held a meeting with his senior ministers at his private residence in Dona Paula and formed a Cabinet advisory committee to take administrative decisions in his absence. Parrikar had also met Goa chief secretary and the director general of police, before leaving the coastal state. ‘Today, the chief minister is travelling to Mumbai for further medical check-up and based on the doctor’s advice may travel overseas for further treatment,’ the chief minister’s office said in a statement in the morning.He is likely to be shifted to the US for further treatment by Tuesday evening, official sources in Panaji said. Chandrakant Patil, however, said there is no decision yet on moving Parrikar to the US. After being discharged from the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Parrikar had begun functioning from his home and was clearing files, official sources had said, adding that he was advised a medical check-up for which he left for Mumbai. Before leaving Goa, Parrikar met senior ministers — Francis D’Souza of the BJP, Vijai Sardesai of the Goa Forward Party, Manohar Ajgaonkar of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, and, Rohan Khaunte and Govind Gawade (both Independents). “The chief minister has formed a Cabinet advisory committee which would guide the state administration on various matters, including financial issues,” Sardesai told reporters outside Parrikar’s residence. The advisory committee comprises Sardesai, D’Souza and Sudin Dhavalikar of the MGP. The MGP and the GFP are allies of the BJP-led Goa government. Parrikar would continue as the chief minister and the committee will be functioning in his absence from the state, Sardesai said. Dhavalikar could not attend the meeting with the chief minister today as he is in New Delhi, leading an all-party delegation on the issue of crisis in the mining industry. Before leaving the state, Parrikar held a meeting with chief secretary Dharmendra Sharma and personal secretary to chief minister P Krishnamurthy and gave instructions to both the officers on urgent and important matters, the CMO confirmed. Manohar Parrikar to travel abroad for medical treatment
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday said he would travel abroad for curing his medical ailment.
In a video message, Parrikar stated that he would travel abroad, depending on the advice given to him by the doctors here, and also thanked the natives of his state for their good wishes at his time of recovery.
"I want to thank all Goans for your prayers in the last 15 days. Because of your blessings, I have recovered and I am heading for Mumbai. Depending on what the doctors advise me, I may be going abroad for a few days to cure my ailment. I hope your blessings will continue and that you will allow me to take a few days off for completely curing myself," he said.
On February 15, Parrikar was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital where, according to the CMO, he was diagnosed with “mild pancreatitis.”
Sources close to Parrikar indicated on Monday that his family is already in touch with a health facility in the United States, where he will proceed to, after a brief spell of treatment in Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital.

PM Modi visit Lilavati Hospital to meet Goa CM Manohar Parrikar to ask about health
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited Lilavati Hospital here to enquire about the health of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who is undergoing treatment for a pancreatic ailment.
"Modi was in the hospital for 15 minutes in the evening," a BJP source said.
"The prime minister was accompanied by Union minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis," the source told PTI.
Earlier, the hospital authorities said Parrikar is "responding well to treatment".
"It has been brought to our notice (that) various malicious and misleading reports/rumours are floating around in the electronic/print media with regards to his health," a hospital statement read.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will go to Mumbai today for a health check-up and if needed, may even go abroad for further treatment, his office said.
Before heading to Mumbai, he called a meeting of his governments senior ministers at his private residence in Dona Paula near here and formed a cabinet advisory committee to take administrative decisions in his absence.
Parrikar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on February 15 where he received treatment for a pancreatic ailment. He was discharged on February 22, and on the same day attended a session of the Goa Legislative Assembly, where he presented the budget and made a brief speech.
The session was truncated to four days owing to Parrikar’s illness.
On February 25, the chief minister was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital after he suffered mild dehydration. He was discharged from the hospital on March 1.
“Today, the chief minister is travelling to Mumbai for further medical checkup and based on the doctor’s advice may travel overseas for further treatment,” the chief ministers office said in a statement issued in Panaji.
Ahead of his Mumbai visit, Parrikar met senior ministers — Francis DSouza of the BJP and Vijai Sardesai of the Goa Forward Party (GFP).
The chief minister formed a cabinet advisory committee comprising Sardesai, Sudin Dhavalikar of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and DSouza, which would advise the state administration on important matters and financial sanctions, GFP leader Sardesai said.
The MGP and the GFP are allies of the BJP-led Goa government.
“Financial sanctions of more than Rs 50 lakh would be cleared by this committee. The mechanism has been worked out to avoid paralysis of the administration in the chief minister’s absence,” Sardesai said.
