RainWing Headcanons:

They have trouble reading dragons with scales that don’t change, and often ask blunt questions like “what are you feeling right now” at random intervals of conversation because of this.

RainWings often keep rainforest animals as pets, ranging from the canon sloths to geckos or macaws.

RainWings naturally mimic the scale colour of the dragons they’re with.

They have a lot of music and story festivals handed down generations by ear.

RainWing eggs have translucent shells.

In DarkStalker’s time, most RainWings were travelling assassins, and were feared across the continent for their camouflage and venom.

Many RainWings, such as Pineapple, as mentioned by Luna in the Flames of Hope, do not have a resting scale colour.

Bromeliad resigned because of Kinkajou.

Glory and Kinkajou are both Orchid and Mangrove’s dragonets. At some point they will learn this when Kinkajou forces Glory to do a venom test because they ‘feel like sisters’ to her.

Turtle and Moon 10000% call Kinkajou ‘Kim’. Because yes.

Shout out to Mangrove honestly. He was one of, if not the only dragon to care about the missing RainWings. He search everywhere and tried his heart out to get help, only to be rejected at every opportunity. Yet, he didn't quit until he finally saw his beloved again.

Rainwings with eye patterns on them when they get upset... it's creepy and dragon uncanny valley.

Some coast striker concept doodles, mostly to showcase their weirdo double tongue + i love drawing teeth. Also whelps are see through when they hatch, most lose this quality as they grow, but a few (especially in the Deepwater) keep their translucency well into adulthood.

A small fun fact, many humans call coast strikers "grinning deaths" as their toothy snarls can look like a grin to a person. Given their amount of teeth and their two tongues, other AshWings can find them a bit unsettling

1. Thorn; She seems like the kinda woman who’d call you shit like ‘princess’ and hug n kiss you and I like that :3

2. Whiteout; She’s just so sweet and likes art like me, plus she seems like she’d be a good listener

3. Turtle; Very similar to Whiteout except he’s a writer :333

4. Sunny; Despite my best attempts to not be this way, sometimes I’ve super negative and I think having someone like Sunny around could be nice

5. Mangrove; he seems like he’d kill for you which is pretty cool
