i mean i think sabo is fighting really hard to improve his skills with his devil fruit just in general, but...i’d be very surprised if he hasn’t also been training specifically with akainu in mind, and if he doesn’t have intentions to face akainu one day- both as a revolutionary, since the guy heads a huge section of the very government that sabo is fighting against, and as a brother (duh).

it’s always been one of my headcanons that sabo is gonna end up with some sort of technique, possibly involving awakening, that allows his fire to actually overcome magma....i just think that would be So Good

i guess the real question tho would be how sabo would be able to find some magma to practice against lol. now i’m just imagining him sailing to some random island on the grand line just to fight a volcano and it’s HILARIOUS

this oikawa edit: i love these edits that you do, they are so unique and the gifs always have good quality? it’s just such a good idea and your edits are so precise, everything looks just...so clear/clean.

this hak wiki edit: i love hak. I also really like these wiki type of edits (this edit deserved better ;;), the gifs, the coloring (once again...i love this shade of blue) and the overall attention to detail you put into it. 

this bokuto edit: you animated the speech bubbles too ;; also i really love the coloring of the gifs, besides the overall effect of the edit.

this lust edit: i feel like i’m repeating myself but I just really like your ideas, and how the little details make these edits really look interactive. this one sort of looks like a video game? so cool.

1. fukurodani manga/anime; you live up to your url mae! this is such a cool concept and you execute it so wonderfully ... i love this scene and you did it justice ahh, love the colouring and the placement of everything! v v cool

2. when marnie was there gifs; i just really like your colouring here! the colours are so warm and fit the scene so well! love the green/brown, and the timing is on point - love the last gif especially, so sharp and pretty

3. fmab manga/anime; i haven't watched fmab yet (and i desperately have to) but again, this is so cool! i can always tell when it's your edit, and you do it amazingly every single time !! love that fade-in/fade-out from one character to another on the second row

4. kiki edit; I LOVE THIS SM! amazing colour choice and palette, and the placement of everything is so nice. love the repeated kiki's in the background of the first panel, and the words forming like a grid around the gif (love the symbolism there...) - the difference between the "i can't fly" to the "i can fly" ? your mind ! this is def one of my faves!

5. shiratorizawa v karasuno; ooo again this is so high quality ... rlly rlly like your gif colouring here, the blues and oranges go so well with the purple in the later scenes! that bottom right panel is just the coolest imo

hey jinny, can i ask what's your theory about sabo's first reaction when he saw a world noble after he got his memory back. Did it change to what it normally is when he didn't have his memory?

oooh that’s something i hadn’t thought about before!

i do assume that dragon and co told sabo that it was a celestial dragon who shot him down, and that maybe he even has some vague memory of the incident (at least, of waking up injured in the water after) so i wouldn’t be surprised if he Already had a pretty visceral response to them, especially once he’s learned about all the other bad shit they’ve done

but you know....i headcanon sabo as someone who kind of prefers to pretend that things aren’t personal- like if he was facing off with akainu he’d be like “this isn’t just about ace, it’s also about ohara, and all the other people who died by your hands or under your orders, and the marine system as a whole.” as a revolutionary i can see him trying to center the people in his beliefs, not himself- regardless of to what extent his feelings actually are mostly personal lol.

all this to say, i can see koala talking to him before a mission where they’re gonna have to interact with world nobles after he gets his memory back and being like “are you sure you’re going to be okay now that you remember the traumatic experience you had with them??” and sabo’s like “koala please it’s okay, i’ve always loathed the world nobles to my core and i was still able to operate around them before. just because i now remember what they did to me personally, that won’t change anything”

....buuut of course he’s wrong bc trauma is trauma and gets smacked over the head with not just his usual rage and disgust when he sees them, but also with fear- which has never happened before and which he really hates because those pathetic people aren’t worthy of his fear, but it’s not like he can help it. 

thankfully koala is right there with him in the “traumatized by celestial dragons” club and is able to talk him down from totally freaking out and they’re able to get through it and improve together!
