Anime I've Seen in 2024 (New and Old)
New
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training arc - 5/10: Too short and over too quickly, really wished they could’ve added more.
My Hero Academia season 7 - 6/10: Tiring at this point, I actually don't care anymore.
Date a Live V - 7/10: It didn't shocked me like everyone else, I've seen heavier shit then this. Still, it's an appropriate finale. I've heard there's like two light novels left in the series. Maybe one day for season 6.
Sand Land - 7/10: The main story is fantastic and a great stand alone series. The second arc is okay. It's good but completely unnecessary.
Bocchi the Rock! movie - 8/10: Cramming a whole season into a two part movie is surprisingly good. Saw it in theaters and I had a good time. So... when season 2?
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Conflict - 8/10: So far, it's still great. It's very intense.
Dragon Ball Daima - 8/10: Great story, great characters, great world building, and great animation. The pacing though... cocktease.
Old
Dragon Ball - 10/10: Revisited as myself paying tribute to the late Akira Toriyama, who pass away this year. This series is still amazing and charming. Please watch it and ignore the fandom who hated it for no reason. Your life will change forever.
Dragon Ball Z - 9/10: This was the first time I watched it in the original Japanese version. A completely different experience. I had a ton of fun going through the whole thing again.
Lucky Star - 7/10: At first, I really love how these girls just sit around and talk endlessly. But then... it kept going. Then it got super annoying. And then it got to be not fun anymore. By the time I got to ep. 12, I remember saying to myself," WE GOT 12 MORE EPISODES OF THIS SHIT?" The ending was cringing, I'm sorry, I did not like it. I give it some time and... it wasn't that bad in retrospect, I was just not in the right mood. I'll give it another chance one day.
K-ON! - 10/10: I read the manga a year ago and I greatly enjoy it, so I was looking forward for the adaptation. Unfortunately, an unexpected moment occurred in my life that made me delayed my binge watch. Once I felt better, I finally watched it and... it was what I desperately want: comfort. The characters were great, the music is pretty catchy, and the overall experience was enjoyable. When it was over, I felt sad, sad that it was over. But it did heal my soul.
The Melancholy of Haruchi Suzumiya - 4/10: Surprised I didn't receive hate mail from my opinion of this anime. Why did I really hated it? Haruchi Suzumiya herself. Fuck! That! BITCH! I hated everything about her, she gave me flasbacks to Asuka from Evangalion, who is also GODAWFUL! This anime reminded me why I hated tsunderes, I never felt so much anger in my life. If there's any silver lining, it gave me Yuki Nagato, and Mikuru Asahina is cute. I know there's a movie, but I refuse to watch it.
The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan - 7/10: I got nothing to say about this spin-off, but I like this better then the main one.
Berserk (1997) - 8/10: Finally started watching this classic and, wow, this was not what I expect it to be. I was really into the story and the battle scenes were gory. The ending? Still haven’t recover from that dramatic experience.
Hidamari Sketch - 10/10: You know why I started watching this? I watch the second presidential debate, and it was a total shit show. To get away from politics, I put this on, not expecting what I was going to get. And what did I get? Possibly one of the cutest, comforting, fun shows I've seen in awhile. The girls were great, the animation was abstract, and it was pretty relaxing. I was a bit bother by the ecchi scenes, glad Madoka didn't had that treatment. By the end, you feel like you made friends with them. Or better yet, you became family with them. This is another show that heal my soul.
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid - 8/10: This one has been on my watch list for awhile, but I'm glad I saw it. Another relaxing show that just happens to have plenty of scenes that goes TOO HARD! Like whole, was not expecting them to throw at me. Everything else is great too.
Yuru Yuri - 8/10: I thought I wasn't going to like this because of how mean spirited it can be. But... not only was this shit funny, but it's also heartwarming. This was a lot a fun.
What to expect next year?

Magi and KHR: Rambles
2024
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2022
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
【マギ】 漢服(ハンフ)を着るジュダル
【Magi】 Judar wearing hanfu 🖤❤️🐈‍⬛
マギ15周年おめでとう~!!💗🫶
Happy 15th anniversary to Magi~!! 💗🫶
Rambles
I started the sketch as Kuroha actually (It doesn't help that they have similar~ish hairstyles and expression vibes LMAO), but then the eyes looked more like Judar cuz of the rings, so I changed it to Judar
This bangs ngl~~
Also I'm glad I improved a LOT from 2022 omg
I'll refine later and make this less scribbly when I post this on main
I looove the expressions and eyes in this one hehe
KHR and Magi's Anniversary
In terms of characters, story, writing quality, themes, and art, Magi is my favourite manga ever. For me, KHR and Magi forever hold a special place in my heart as my forever no. 1 favourite series.
Happy 20th anniversary to KHR~~!! 💗🫶
Lots of series are celebrating its anniversary this year. DGM's 20th Anniversary is also this year!
I might as well make this a KHR + Magi ramble post then~~
I'd say both KHR and Magi are very important to me because KHR was the reason why I started drawing (almost) every day in the first place and Amano's style was the foundation/main inspiration for my art style... And it still shows in my art style. While Magi is the manga I fell in love with for its story, art, writing, and characters.
I expect DunMeshi to join that list and become very important to me!
How I got into KHR
Tumblr media
One of the craziest things is knowing that some of my mutuals/friends found out about KHR cuz of me because of how niche it is
Katekyo Hitman Reborn (KHR) is a shounen that starts off as a slice of life that eventually turns into a battle shounen.
KHR is still SUPER popular in EA fandom spaces (niche popular) and considered a shounen classic, but it's WAY more niche in EN speaking fandoms. Its popularity peaked during the anime's run from 2006 - 2010. The manga ran from 2004 to 2012.
I first found out about KHR cuz of my older cousin who had it as one of her fave animes… I was curious about it cuz she had a KHR Ani Future arc wallscroll and she started talking to me about it cuz she loved GokuTsuna.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I immediately became obsessed with Hibari ☺️ I don't think I'd EVER been obsessed with a chara like that up until that point. I was 11.
Hibari is very important and personal to me as my first no. 1 fave ever, but I don't talk about him as much cuz I focus on the XanLena ship
I was 11 when I first watched KHR (I started binge reading the KHR manga at the same time while watching the anime during the Varia arc)
And when Hibari became my first big fave I was obsessed with I started drawing like every day cuz of KHR and the HibaLena ship
Amano's art improvement in KHR
(Featuring my top 3 meow meow mf faves: Hibari, Mukuro, Xanxus)
TYL = 10 Years Later (Future arc versions)
Tumblr media
Hibari and Xanxus are my tied no. 1 fave KHR characters, and Mukuro is in 2nd place. The rest of my faves are mainly Varia and Vongola characters
Amano's art improvement is insane. She has really gorgeous inking and detailed clothing folds, hair, and accessories. I love her shiny looking inking sm
KHR and Amano's art style was the foundation for my art style and it shows in the way I draw the face and eyes for masc charas even now (sharper facial features & eyes)
Like, I first started drawing cuz of Beyblade Metal (LMAO) 😭 but KHR was what jumpstarted me to start drawing almost everyday.
In 2016, I did a reread of the KHR manga (Battle of the Rainbow arc), and that's when Xanxus became one of my top fave KHR charas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Source: KHR: Vol. 39 Cover of Xanxus, and BIKOSi @ Neka (Chinese version of Picrew)
That is when I first created the KHR: Varia AU, where Selena (my KHR OC), joins the Varia (the Vongola Family's independent assassination squad, led by Xanxus), as one of their assassins.
Coming up with AUs became my specialty and I was really falling for the concept of Selena being around the Varia, a chaotic dysfunctional found family.
I think XanLena has the most interesting tension so it's my personal fave Selena ship (though ofc I still love 5YL+ HibaLena)
The only thing that's surprising is that Xanxus wasn't one of my top faves prior to my 2016 reread of KHR 😭 He is SUCH a Sen-core meow meow mf…
Xanxus' role as a major arc antagonist, his character context, and his character's emotional tragedy makes him super interesting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I've always liked him as a chara. I'm glad my tastes evolved sm over the years~ I have all sorts of meow meow mfs who're all varied in their designs & charas🫡
The constant with my main masc faves is that they're all Meow meow mfs. And if not that then some other Sen-core trope
Happy 8th year anniversary to XanLena ❤️💜
I need to draw more of them btw. I first created my KHR: Varia AU (*) and the XanLena ship in 2016~~
(*) = My lighthearted slice of life AU where Selena joins the Varia as one of their assassins and eventually becomes Xanxus' S/O
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really need to refine these... I started drawing the Selena one recently so I need to refine the rest
I'm planning on redrawing the last Xanxus one

now I'm binge reading "What are you doing, step-duke?" and yes I'm calling it that forever I'm on like chapter 47, and ngl low key rooting for the blonde. golden bee boi. at first i thought he was just interested in her cus of the duke, but now it kinda seems like he's genuinely concerned for her? i could eat my words later and be wrong but team bee boi for now.
I haven't started reading anything quite yet, but I've been watching recommendation videos and shorts and have started compiling a list of manhwa and manga and just stuff in general that has an obsessive/yandere male lead
Tumblr media
The only exception to this list is Under The Oak Tree which is just there because their love seems very pure and sweet and I need more positivity and love in my life 🥺❤ but otherwise I am searching for men that are so fucking toxic--

Bnha is a little too irregular for me right now (covid is the worst :( ), so I started reading One Piece and it's like, soooo long. Got me thinking, how long do you think Bnha will be? Personally I think we're just before time skip and it will take, like 300-400 chapters to end? So manga would be 600-700 chapters long. I could be wrong of course. Thoughts?
One Piece is fucking awesome, and the beauty of it is that is is 12 million chapters long so it will take approximately 182 years to finish reading, and you are almost guaranteed to be entertained for the vast majority of that time lol. I actually took a break from it a little ways into the Wano arc (sometime in the middle of what would later become volume 92) because it was getting harder for me to keep up with the plot week by week, especially since I was really into BnHA fandom by that time. my plan was to binge it once Wano ends. however when I was looking at the list of chapters on Wikipedia just now I saw that Oda is only 11 chapters away from breaking the 1k mark, which is pretty awesome. so I might try to catch up in the next month or two in celebration of that milestone, because damn.
with BnHA though, my own guess for how long the series will be is actually a lot shorter than most estimates I’ve seen. first of all, full disclosure that I am definitely biased regarding the timeskip part, because I personally am not the biggest fan of BnHA timeskip theories, unless they’re really short timeskips like the 3-month one we got recently. the thing is, this is explicitly a manga about their time at UA. it’s in the title and everything lol. and I like that. I like reading about them as kids, little hero eggs gradually growing into little hero chicks who will eventually become big hero birbs, but not just yet. a lot of the story’s appeal for me comes from that. there’s a certain... I don’t necessarily want to say innocence, but idealism, maybe?, that’s associated with stories about young adults, and doesn’t always carry over into the stories about those same adults once they’ve grown up. and I want the story to keep that.
there are a lot of things about the current setting that I’m very attached to and don’t want to lose. I like that they’re kids, and that they’re full of potential but don’t always know what they’re doing, and they screw up and make mistakes and get in over their heads, and are dealing with all of their messy jumbled teenage emotions. I like that they’re living with each other in the fanfic dorms and seeing each other every day in their classes. I like that romance isn’t a big part of the series (though there’s still plenty of shipping fuel to go around). I like that we get to see them interacting with their parents and siblings and get to see those relationships. and most of all, I like that -- unlike almost every other young adult series I can think of -- BnHA acknowledges that they are just kids, and the adults by and large actually treat them as such. and yes, I’m even including the child soldiers arc here, because the decision to basically draft them into a war was handed down by the HPSC (an organization that likely has a history with child abuse from what we’ve seen). U.A. was against it, and tried their best to keep them away from the front lines, chilling out in the woods and helping with evacuations instead of fighting villains. contrast this with, say, a:tla, which I love, but which is very much one of those series filled with full-grown adults who are all “it’s up to this 12-year-old and his assorted 12-to-15-year-old friends to lead the battle to save the world lulz.” and this includes possibly the most beloved full-grown adult of all time, who nonetheless peaces out with an ironclad argument of “while it is true that the final villain is my actual brother, I’m still going to let the 12-year-old handle it because something something politics slash destiny.”
but anyways lol got sidetracked there. so steering this back on course now, I genuinely, truly love that in BnHA there are all these adults in the characters’ lives who are trying to keep them safe and nurture them and shield them from that extra burden of responsibility for as long as possible while they’re still learning. and so the kids have that extra safety net of support, which to me as a reader is just... comforting, I guess. like, I understand that it’s not going to last forever, but it’s reassuring to know that it exists for them for now. and I’m not in any hurry to say goodbye to that in favor of just tossing them out into tHE REAL WORLD!! lol. like omg no my babies.
anyway but so the point is that, with respect to everyone else’s theories, I personally don’t want a timeskip lol. and tbh I don’t really see the need for one either? if anything, we’re about to enter the most chaotic period in the entire manga once this arc ends. I’m assuming Tomura will survive this and escape somehow, the better to live and fight another day. and so if that’s the case, I feel like this would be the absolute weirdest time to do a timeskip, because how far ahead can we even jump lol. too far and we’d basically be coming back to an already-destroyed world lol whoops. basically I just don’t see how we can jump ahead more than a few months at the most, assuming that the threat of Tomura is going to be looming over everyone’s heads the entire time. plus we’d miss out on what I’m betting is going to be some of the most intense worldbuilding drama in the entire series, with our beloved characters potentially being swept up in like half a dozen political controversies. I sure don’t want to miss out on any of that. we didn’t wait so long to see this war play out only to skip out on the highly entertaining aftermath of it all.
anyway so that’s my as-usual-longer-than-necessary rant about timeskips. so now let’s talk about the series length. and here, I’m basically just basing my guess off of what Horikoshi has said in interviews. off the top of my head, there are three times he’s mentioned the ending of the series in interviews. first, there’s this interview, published in July 2018:
Interviewer: Previously in SUGOI JAPAN*, you mentioned that you would like Boku No Hero Academia to be a short and concise story and not drawn out, but what percentage of the story is complete at this point?
Horikoshi: When the decision to extend the series happened, I personally thought “I guess I want to end it here” and it was around Volume 30.
Interviewer: So then are you 2/3 done with the story?
Horikoshi: That’s what I had originally planned, but when I think of all the things that must be set up before getting into the last arc, I realized, “Ending the series at Volume 30 will be impossible” (laughs). However, the current arc that is going on all has purpose that will be relevant in the last arc.
*this is referencing a remark he made back at an awards ceremony back in March 2017.
second, we have this interview from August 2018, where he again mentions wanting to keep the story concise:
Do you know what the ending of My Hero Academia is? Do you think it'll be 80+ volumes like One Piece?
No, it won't be infinite – I don't have the stamina for it to be as long as One Piece. I'd like to keep it concise.
and lastly,  this one which was published in December 2019:
What can you say about the future events of the manga?
I’m conscious of the end of the series, and writing towards that. I think the story will always be moving in big ways going forwards. My Hero Academia has a lot of characters, a lot of characters doing different things with different motivations, and the story is heading towards a conclusion where all of that comes together and heads towards the end.
my takeaways from these interviews are that (1) he originally planned for the story to be about 300 chapters long, (2) he’s had a clear idea of his overall endgame for a while now and has been steadily working towards that (as he put it in another interview, he knows all of the dots, but is still figuring out the lines to connect them all), and (3) he specifically said a couple years back that he did not want to write a long One Piece-length series, and his goal was to write a more concise story than that. Horikoshi’s pacing has always been much faster than Oda’s (or Kishimoto’s, or Kubo’s, etc.), and so I think it’s a realistic goal for him to wind up with a significantly shorter story in comparison.
my best guess is that BnHA won’t be much longer than 400 chapters, or a little over 40 volumes. he said back around chapter 180-something that he was nowhere close to being two-thirds of the way done. but it’s been two years since then, and if we haven’t reached at least the two-thirds mark by this point, I would honestly be very surprised. it would mean we’ve barely made any progress at all, and I don’t know about you, but the past few arcs have felt very purpose-driven to me. I think he has a pretty good idea of where he’s heading at this point, and that to me supports the idea of a shorter story than a lot of people have speculated. mind you, he might end up doing a sequel or something afterwards (although I kind of cringe thinking about all the ways we’ve seen that kind of thing go wrong in the past, ngl).
but as far as the series proper, yeah, I’d say 400 chapters is my best guess. ultimately I just hope he’s able to tell the story he wants to tell and gets as much time as he needs to do so, without feeling any pressure to then drag it on past that. knowing when to end your series is so underrated honestly. I have my fingers crossed that it’s a skill Horikoshi hopefully possesses.

‘Toxic’ Anime Fandoms (But I’m just angry)
Ok so this is gonna be a long stupid ramble because I (An idiot) found some articles online about toxic anime fandoms... and by god does it piss me off. SO in this essay I’m gonna incoherently scream about why these articles I found are just lacking in explanation, and then I point at the glaring flaws. Not to mention I’m using multiple articles, but they all like to use similar arguments.  Warning, I’m gonna paraphrase because these articles are long winded about literally nothing.
The Naruto fanbase is toxic because people compare everything to Naruto, and people get upset when you don’t put it in your best anime list!! Honey... HONEY, that’s how all fandoms are. Naruto was likely people’s first introduction to anime, and people are defensive over their nostalgia, I mean like you saw the uprising with the new Ben 10 and Teen Titans Go, other than the fact that they’re BAD, but people were upset and still are (which is yet again understandable)  Seriously, if I made a list that said ‘Best Things Ever’ and I didn’t include something that they liked, then I understand why someone would be upset, and maybe comment something. It’s the day in age where if you have an opinion someone will probably be upset with you.
The Deathnote fanbase is toxic because people like to say it’s good and act offended if you haven’t watched it! Well I mean... Yeah? That’s how fans of a show can act, it’s just exaggerated. I mean seriously, if someone told me they haven’t ever played Undertale, or heard anything about Homestuck- I’m gonna wonder about what part of the internet you’ve been on because I played Undertale for the first time in like 2019 thanks to how much my friends praised it, and I only got into Homestuck in very late 2020 because one of my friends went on a three hour rant about homestuck and I needed the context for so much stuff. Hell, I only have any knowledge on Deathnote because my friend took their old Deathnote Manga and gave it to me for my birthday- which was a touching gift since they really love Deathnote.
The Hunter X Hunter fanbase is toxic because it doesn’t get attention from weebs, and the fans sometimes get angry. Seriously? That’s what we’re mad about? This is literally so fucking petty my god- next ffs.
The Jojo fanbase is toxic because ‘is that a jojo reference memes’ and because fans want you to watch Jojo. Fucking- AGAIN!? jesus christ. You wanna know how I got into Jojo? My tooth was pulled, and it was the first time I ever got any teeth pulled, so I was high as hell and spitting out blood occasionally. I didn’t want to walk home that day (for obvious reasons) and so I stayed late so I could get a ride from my friends parents. So when another mutual acquaintance came up, and he was playing the Jojo game on an emulator. This got into the three of them telling me about Jojo, but only super vague pieces of it. High off my ass I got home, binge watched like two seasons of it, and forgot everything that happened after the first episode. So I managed to get through the first season (again) before I got caught up in other things (ahem, pokemon) Not to mention that its normal to want to share something you like with other people. Back when I read books regularly I used to keep a list of books to recommend to my friends.
The Demon Slayer fandom is bad cuz too many spoilers :(  Okay? This... This doesn’t a toxic fandom make. Yeah it’s shitty, but like full fucking on- that’s not toxic?
The Dragon Ball fanbase is toxic because people think Goku is the strongest and argue about it, and it’s dying, but like I’m also proof that DBZ fans aren’t bad! Okay? And? Like I full on mean that. I’m a Dragon Ball fan and let me tell you- I’ve literally never seen a single fucking person actually say anything like that unironically- or during a power leveling video that’s an actual discussion about power scaling. Not to mention that for the most part people watch shows for the actual show? Like the plot, characters, storyline- ya know, the actual fucking show?
The Attack on Titan fanbase is toxic because fans sent death threats to the author for ending the manga. Jesus fucking christ- okay, yeah that’s toxic! So... where’s the catch? They also wrote their own endings to the manga. I swear to GOD- WHAT THE FUCK. Fanfiction has existed forever you ignoramus, bleach-snorting, styrofoam eating IDIOT. Seriously, I literally fucking rewrote the entirety of Naruto (Multiple Times over) are you gonna say that I’m Toxic? How about the multiple other hundreds of people who have literally rewritten entire works of fiction.
Now, what do I consider toxic fanbases? The top three are: Undertale, Homestuck and Steven Universe. The Undertale fandom managed to be so bad that people were actually kinda scared of it. Not to mention that it is a good game, people just went a bit too far. If you killed anyone people would send death threats, Markiplier (a really cool youtuber) had people yell at him for giving Sans a southern accent, and I mean the fact that it’s so big made it worse. The Homestuck fandom had many bad moments where some fans caused harm to others, damaged products, the girl who nearly killed herself trying to dye her skin for a cosplay, AND LITERALLY CHANGED THE CONVENTION FIELD. The Steven Universe fandom nearly killed a fan because she drew a fat character thin, they turned on the fucking creators for saying this was bad, multiple racist, sexist and homophobic things just existing while people pretend to be fake woke.
And this has been- I literally knew all of the bad fandom stuff because I lived through it. Problem is, I lived through the popularity of every single anime on this list while actively in more internet spaces, and I don’t fucking see it. Seriously, when I think of toxic anime fanbases I think about anime like Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, where a bunch of 30 year olds get horny over a child and then say that they’re fine because she’s ACSHUALLY 2,000 years old! I mean fuck, my favorite meme is literally the- “Men be like “You’re not a real anime fan if you don’t watch ‘Is it wrong to piss on my bunny sister’s feet?’“ Like- fucking exactly. Both these fucking articles have ‘I think that when someone is a little mean or says something kinda annoying they’re TOXIC!’ Like bitch no, when I think toxic I think of the gaslighting fanbases that end up with multiple people with mental disorders or someone dead- which let me tell you, is a surprisingly large amount of fandoms?
Anyways so I’m done, mainly because it’s like super fucking late and I’m so tired

A rogue storm had her presumed dead and stranded on the red planet. Left on her own, astronaut Aelin Galathynius has four years to make it to the next drop-site, some two thousand miles. Armed with her smarts and dwindling supplies, Aelin attempts to survive on an inhospitable planet, when the nearest help is only millions of miles away.
masterlist - ao3 - last chapter - next chapter
an: we really getting into now hehe
+*+*+*+*+*+*
The military cemetery thirty minutes outside Orynth was cold and bleak, fitting for the day.
Everyone in attendance was staring at the empty casket being lowered into the hole dug into the frozen ground of early January. Weylan shuffled his notes, clearing his throat before speaking, “Our space program was lucky to have an astronaut like Aelin Galathynius. She gave her life to this program and will be sorely missed. Her sacrifice in the furthering of science itself will not be in vain and the men and women here at TNSB will notice her absence every second of every hour, ensuring that her death means something. Anneith bless her and Hellas save her,” he said, making the sign of protection and prayer, a three fingered claw-like shape and pushing it from his heart.
The attendees repeated the gesture while Manon and Asterin whispered their own prayers, holding hands tightly, designating the highest Ironteeth honour on the fallen woman.
 +*+*+*+*+*+*
Gavriel was already in Weylan’s office as he walked in with Asterin, the two locked in a hushed argument. Upon spying the mission director, they paused and Weylan nodded towards the folder in his hand, “What’s that there?”
“I need you to sign off on the plans for the-“
“No.”
Gavriel pressed harder, “I know I can get parliament to fund it-“
“Gavriel, that’s not why I said no and you know it.” Weylan sighed and walked past him to sit behind his desk, Asterin taking a seat beside Gavriel. “We’re a public organization, everything we do has to be transparent.”
“And?”
Weylan and Asterin shared a look before the director responded, speaking slowly, “The moment the satellites point to the hab, we broadcast Aelin Galathynius’ body to the world.”
Gavriel scoffed, “You’re afraid of a PR scandal?”
Asterin rose a brow, “Of course we are. We have a dead astronaut on Farnor and we still need funding for The Crone.”
“So then what do we do?” he asked, tapping his finger on the folder, “She’s not going to decompose, her body will be up there forever.”
The director shrugged, “Meteorology reports that she’ll be covered by sand in less than a year.”
Gavriel threw his hands up, nearly hitting Asterin in the process, “We can’t wait a year! We have work to do and are we not going to discuss retrieving her body?”
“And what? Waste money and time for a corpse?”
Both Asterin and Gavriel flinched, the former hiding her adverse reaction better than Gavriel did. He was at a loss for words, thankfully Asterin spoke up, “Weylan, think about it. The Crone can bring the body back. Sympathy for her family-“
“What family? She’s an orphan and unmarried.”
It took conscious effort to anger Gavriel and he clamped down on the red-hot emotion, gritting his teeth as Asterin spoke again, “The Crone can bring back her body. We don’t make the mission about that, but we make it clear that that’s part of it. I can spin it if we do this now, Weylan. We can’t wait a year – people won’t care in a year.”
  +*+*+*+*+*+*
The pain had lessened, if barely, as Aelin came to, not sure how’d long it had been since she’d passed out. There was no new blood and she sighed in relief, reaching for the pills again and taking one. Aelin stood up, pushing herself up carefully until she was standing.
She groaned but was able to breathe past the ache and hobble her way to the bunks, dragging out her box and getting warmer clothes.
Putting them on took energy, too much of it, and she was panting as she sat on the floor, her back against her bed. Her stomach panged in hunger and she would have to find something to eat soon, but first, she grabbed her laptop and moved to the kitchen, sitting down and opening the computer up.
After a few taps and a bit of fiddling, she clicked on the video journaling and the camera started rolling. “Fuck, I don’t know how to do this,” she muttered, glancing at herself on the screen before squaring her shoulders and taking deep breath. “Uh, hi. This is Aelin Galathynius, recording from the hab. It’s currently,” she looked at the timestamp next to the recording time, “sixteen-hundred hours and surprise, I lived!” She laughed shakily, dragging her hand through her hair. “Obviously.”
“I’m assuming this is a surprise to the crew and TNSB, if not, I’m going to kick some asses, but… I did not die on day eighteen. If I’m piecing this all together correctly, this,” she held up the antennae, “lovely little thing here damaged my bio-monitor and the team… had to leave before someone else got hurt.” Tears filled her eyes and she wiped them away, “Stupid painkillers, making me cry. But I… if I don’t make it out of here, which is highly likely, I just want to tell my crew that I don’t blame you, ok?”
She let out a shaky breath and continued, “I know that you broody humans are going to blame yourselves, especially you, Commander, but it was a tough situation and I would’ve made the same call. It’s just my bad luck, you know?”
Aelin shook her head, “Alright, now that all the mushy stuff is out of the way, I need to do some science.” She grabbed a nearby pen and her mission file, “There’s no way to contact TNSB because the satellite broke and I was impaled by the antennae. The next manned mission is in four years and I have to survive on a desolate planet for that long, right? Oh, and get to the Mistward crater where a prepositioned FAV is just waiting.”
She chewed on the pen, brows furrowing as she thought, “It’s a thirty-one-day expedition which means we have provisions for seventy, as a precaution.” She scribbled some numbers down, her mind whirling, “Now, it’s just me here which means it’ll last for…” she trailed off, “three-hundred days. With rationing, I can stretch it to four hundred. Which means I don’t have enough provisions to make it.”
With a sly grin, she looked up at the camera, “Thankfully, I know a thing or two about botany and soil.”
Aelin pushed herself in the wheeled chair to the pantry, opening every drawer and carefully counting every packet they had, separating them into different piles.
One, marked with red letters, Do not open until Beltane caught her eye and she grabbed it, “Oh, thank fuck the only thing Terrasen can grow is potatoes.” She looked at the camera by the microwave, “I’m about to science the shit out of this. It’s not gonna be pretty, I need to reclaim our waste and make fertilizer, but… it’ll keep me alive.” For now.
 +*+*+*+*+*+*
It had been a week since the storm and Aelin had completed converted the kitchen into a greenhouse, Farnor soil on the floor, fertilized with the crew’s own human waste, with neat rows of spuds by moving all the chairs and tables outside, dumping them on the ground next to the rover station. That was another thing. To get to the next drop-site, it was a two-thousand-kilometre drive and the rover went a total of fifty.
Adding in the fact that she would have to spend the nights inside the rover as well, with outside temperatures reaching negative seventy-three in Celsius, she would need to turn on the heater, which would drain the battery.
She’d long since gone through everyone’s things, finding the holy grail, a rover manual in Lorcan’s box. Aelin had never been more thankful for mechanical engineering in her life.
It was slow and hard work to modify the two rovers they had. After fifty kilometres, the batteries would need to be recharged, at the hab.
Left with no other options, Aelin had been forced to dig up the old radioisotope thermoelectric generator, powered by none other than plutonium itself. The list of dangers was lengthy, however, Aelin wasn’t too worried.
She talked to the camera in the rover, “Now, I do remember that one of our lessons was ‘Don’t Go Digging Up The Big Box Of Plutonium,’ but it’s either cancer due to exposure or slowly dying due to the laws of thermodynamics. Honestly, at this point, getting cancer due to exposure to a toxic chemical would be heaven compared to being alone on a desolate planet, but them’s the breaks, I guess.”
 +*+*+*+*+*+*
The lone astronaut was sitting before the computer, wearing the hoodie Rowan had left. It was the only thing that brought her comfort, other than the motherload she’d found on Nesryn’s computer – all of the Twilight movies and, of course, the computer geek’s favourite manga, Anatolia Story. It was surprisingly interesting and after she’d binge read seven out of twenty-eight volumes, Aelin forced herself to stop, telling herself she’d only read one volume a week. So far, she’d kept to her promise, but she’d been so busy with figuring out how to stay alive, she hardly had any free time.
She did find enough time to laugh herself silly over the fact that Fenrys’ had every Disney princess movie available, even her favourite: Mulan.
Elide had been her saviour with PDFs of Harry Potter, and Lorcan with Marvel movies. Even grouchy Rowan had Grey’s Anatomy, which was quite a shock to find out, given how much the doctor looked down on the show. Sometimes, Aelin imagined his voice as he ranted about how dramatic and unrealistic it was, especially with how many of the doctors slept with their co-workers.
But now was not the time to think of such things, Aelin had work to do.
Last night, she had recorded, yet again, her random thought pattern, focusing on how she would water her crops, after having planting the spuds for Beltane. “Thank the gods that Elide was always a fucking weirdo and learned how to fabricate water at much too young, but hey, foster parents don’t pay that much attention. Well,” she chuckled, “they paid enough attention to stop her from ordering The Anarchist’s Cookbook, which is a good thing because that was a time when we were in one of our little spats,” which were really anything but little. “She was able to put together this handy-dandy thing.” She indicated the packet on the table, of various simple reactions including one very, very important one.
Water.
Aelin toyed with Elide’s evil eye symbol, “The thing is, to make water, we need fire, which seems a bit strange, why would one need fire for water? But anyway, TNSB is against fire because of the whole ‘fire in space makes everyone die’ thing. So, everything is fire-retardant. Everything,” she held up the evil eye, which happened to be made of wood, “except for El’s personal items.”
There was a small knife on the table and she picked it up, shaving off pieces of her sister’s carving, “Ellie, if you see this, I’m assuming you don’t mind that I went through your personal boxes – all of yours actually. Commander, and I mean this with no offence, but all you listen to is punk. I have nothing against punk, but after a while, it all sounds the same, you know? One guy yells, ‘one two three four’ and then the guitars and drumming starts!”
Eventually, she had a nice pile of wood shavings and she carefully carried them over to the middle of the room. She remembered to put on her mask before passing through the plastic tarp, where Aelin had set up a very rudimentary stove-esque set up.  The normally risky experiment was even more dangerous and she wasn’t going to blow herself up by forgetting to account for the oxygen she was exhaling.
“Ok,” she breathed out, putting the wood shavings on the sieve that covered the empty can of beans. Her eyes were wide, missing nothing. So many things could go wrong and Elide’s voice filled her head, There’s a reason people without chemistry degrees don’t make water. “I know that,” she bit out, her brows lowering as she carefully poured a few drops of rocket fuel – hydrazine – which was conveniently made of two sodium atoms bonded with four hydrogen atoms.
Carefully, so carefully, she struck the torch, wincing as the wood caught on fire, the flames fluttering happily. When nothing bad happened, she cheered and smiled beneath her mask, keeping one eye on the set-up and another on her spuds as she backed up into the kitchen, a slightly mad smile on her face as she sat down heavily on the chair and looked into the camera, “Don’t worry, guys, no explosions or fire, other than the very controlled experiment.”
 +*+*+*+*+*+*
Aelin was hunched over a map, Iron Man: 3 playing idly on the laptop beside her. She was planning her route to the drop-site, which was in the Mistward crater. She breathed out and wiped the sweat from her brow.
Sweat.
Hardly daring to move, she turned to look at the plastic tarp of her greenhouse, seeing the drops of moisture on it. With a half-crazed laugh, she stood up and entered the closed off space, running her hand over the tarp, her fingertips coming away wet. “Water,” she breathed, buzzing with joy, “water! I have water!”
She raced to her bunk and threw on her suit and helmet, bouncing on her toes as she waited for the airlock tunnel to depressurize and then she raced to the water reclaimer, as fast as one could while wearing a spacesuit.
The sun beat down on her but she barely paid the heat any mind as she opened the water reclaimer, a dry sob tearing from her throat as she found it to be filled to the brim with the crystal clear liquid.
For the first time since she’d woken up, Aelin felt hope, bright and beautiful hope.
+*+*+*+*+*+*
It was past midnight in Perranth and Nox Owens yawned into his mug of tea, blinking hard to stay awake.
He settled back into his chair in Satellite Control, pulling up the aerial images of the hab for his boss. They took a while to load and he might have dozed off, jolting and nearly spilling his tea as the computer beeped, indicating the images were ready. With a slight sigh, he carefully put his mug down and pushed his glasses up after they had slipped down to the end on his nose yet again.
Blinking the sleepiness from his startlingly grey eyes, he clicked through the batch, making sure everything was normal before sending them up to his superiors. Something had him shifting in his wheelie-chair and narrowing his angular eyes, “What the fu…”
No. It couldn’t be. How in Hellas’ realm was the rover moving? The solar panels?
This didn’t make any sense…
Logically, the satellite planner knew that there was only one answer for this, he just couldn’t believe it.
Maybe he’d seen it wrong or these were old pictures, but the timestamp in the corner of the screen told him that what he was seeing was correct.
And that meant that… Aelin Galathynius was alive. And they’d left her on Farnor, alone.
Shit.
It took him a few tries to grab the phone and he couldn’t tear his eyes away as the operator picked up.
“This is Nox Owens from SatCon, I need to speak with Gavriel Aryeh. The Farnor Mission Director, yes. It’s an emergency.”
“Emergency, really?”
Nox hissed into the receiver, “Yes, it’s an emergency.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
We’ve gone from Self-Isolation to Quarantine and in some places to gradual relaxation phases, but that doesn’t stop the need for more nonsense you can watch on youtube while you wait for things to get back to normal. And recommending things and making lists are some of my favourite things to do but I have not yet figured out how to start or structure a video myself, you guys get another rambling tumblr post of things you can watch on youtube.
This time I’m once again just gonna recommend individual videos rather than full channels like I did in part 2.
Part 1
Part 2
In no particular order;
LOCAL58: The Broadcast Station that Manipulates You
Tumblr media
I recently started watching the Nexpo channel when I went on a binge of creepy youtube videos. Most of his videos are really good although the ones where he himself goes into theory crafting can be a little asinine. However, this video is REALLY good. And before you get nervous, LOCAL58 is not a real TV station. LOCAL58 is a youtube channel created by the same guy behind the Candle Cove creepypasta. This video by Nexpo covers the various episodes of LOCAL58 and discusses them. Just be aware going in that this is abstract horror, and will probably get under your skin regardless if you’re unaffected by certain topics or not. although cw for suicide mention.
I also recommend most of the rest of this channel, although be careful where you tread. I don’t recommend his series “Disturbing things from around the internet” as it can sometimes include real life crime, abuse and such caught on security cameras. Everything else is really good tho. (although I was really annoyed by his 2 videos on KrainaGrzybowTV)
The Search for D.B. Cooper
Tumblr media
LEMMiNO has a new video out covering one of the most unexplained crimes in the past century of the US. LEMMiNO is the guy I’ve recommended before who did videos on the Universal S. He is very down to earth and not someone prone to conspiracy or even really that fanciful of thinking. (He’s like the one person I feel covered the Dyaltov Pass incident and was confused by why this was even a mystery because if you read the Russian Autopsy reports and documents associated with the case it’s all pretty logical and easily explained)
D.B. Cooper is the name given to a man who, in 1971, hijacked an airplane with a bomb, asked for a large sum of money, and after receiving it, parachuted from the plane and was never seen or heard from again.
The Austrian Wine Poisoning | Down the Rabbit Hole
Tumblr media
Down the Rabbit Hole also has a new video out, this time covering the Austrian Wine Poisoning event from 1985. A scandal that involved literally the entire country of Austria, affected multiple countries, and forever changed the way wine was made world wide. As someone who is generally pretty allergic to most artificial substances this one made me personally very angry. But luckily, it has a happy ending and a better world for us all... if I could drink wine which I can’t do anyway.
The Turbulent Tale of Yandere Dev - A Six Year Struggle
Tumblr media
The Right Opinion is another channel I only recently subbed to after watching his cover on Onion Boy. I put off subbing to him simply because of his channel name and I thought it meant he would come across as smug and elitist. Luckily this seems to merely be one of those “I chose a bad channel name and now I’m stuck with it” type of situations. (IHE has a similar problem).
Anyway, I have a weird interest in bizarre internet personalities, so I’ve been enjoying his channel as he simply discusses and presents a timeline of events of certain individuals. In this video, he covers the developer behind the much maligned Yandere Simulator. It’s a tale of hubris, arrogance, immaturity, and an unwillingness to accept your own shortcomings due to ego.
Oh and there’s a meme game about Japanese school girls with anime tiddies in there as well.
The Most Relaxing Anime Ever Made | Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō
Tumblr media
Kenny Lauderdale is a youtube channel which is slowly becoming bigger which I’m very happy to see. He exclusively covers anime and live action Japanese television no younger than the mid 90s (as is the case with YYK) and which usually never saw a release outside of Japanese Laserdisc. I do wish his videos were a little longer, but if nothing else his videos serve as an excellent starting to point to find some older and underappreciated shows... or hot garbage fires. In this episode he talks about the 2 OVA episodes made based on one of my favourite manga, Yokohama Shopping Log. A Post apocalyptic anime about an android who runs a coffee shop outside of her house, and the quiet solitude of living in a world of declining human population, brief encounters with travelers and other people, and just... existing. The anime was never released outside of Japan and is only available on Japanese VHS and laserdisc.... but hey guess what!! Somebody uploaded both episodes, subbed, to Youtube.

YMS’ slow descent into madness as he uncovers just how bullshit the Kimba Conspiracy is
Tumblr media
I’m linking a full playlist for this one.
YMS is busy planning his review on the “live action” Lion King remake as the original 1994 movie is probably his favourite movie all time (and also self declared what made him a furry). As part of the 2 hour review, he decided to what all 2000 hours of Kimba the White Lion just to mention how The Lion King potentially stole the idea. ....until he actually watched all 2000 hours of Kimba and realised that if you actually WATCH Kimba, it has VERY little to do with the Lion King at all apart from having the same animals in them because AFRICA. Watch as one man slowly loses his mind as he realises just how stupid this conspiracy theory is, just HOW DECEITFUL and straight up LYING people can be. People who write BOOKS. People who teach LAW AT UNIVERSITIES. Because NOBODY bothered to actually watch the entire show and just parroted the “Disney stole this” lie which got started by like 2 salty fans on the internet.
The man set out to just mention how Disney stole an idea, and uncovered one of the most infuriating rabbit holes on the internet. Screaming for SOMEONE to provide him with sources or evidence.
YMS will be publishing his full Kimba documentary this month which he has said is around 2 hours long before he continues to work on the Lion King one.
Science Stories: Loch Ness eDNA results, Poop Knives, and Skeleton Lovers
Tumblr media
TREY the Explainer has a video giving us some updates in Archeology from 2019. In this video he discusses the findings of the eDNA results conducted on the Loch Ness to see what animal DNA the lake contains which will tell us what living animals currently inhabit the lake, ancient knives made of poop and if this is a real thing that could have existed, and a skeleton couple found buried together which were at first thought to be lovers, then revealed to be both male, and then how in this instance we cannot let our modern sensibilities dictate what we WANT this burial find to be, but to look at the evidence as presented to us and place in context finds of this nature. The worst thing an archaeologist can do is look for proof to a theory they already have.
The Bizarre Modern Reality of Sonic the Hedgehog
Tumblr media
Super Eyepatch Wolf is back and he’s here to talk to us about the very very strange existence of Sonic. a 90s rebellious “too cool for School” answer to Mario, a lost idea as the world of video games changes and culture shifted, a meme and punching bag amplified by a unique fanbase and poor quality games, a transcendence into a horrific warped  idea of what he once was, and modern day and where Sonic and his fans are now. As usual Super Eyepatch Wolf knocks it out of the park.
Kokoro Wish and the Birth of a Multiverse: A Lecture on the Work of Jennifer Diane Reitz
Tumblr media
I don’t even sub to this channel as I’m not entirely sure what Ben’s usual content is about. But every now and then he has a “101″ class, where he explains to a room full of his friends in a classroom setting (complete with Whiteboard) an internet artist and oddity, the timeline, and what it is they have created. (wait... didn’t I say this already?). Unlike TRO however, the 101 classrooms are not a dark look into disturbed individuals (although the CWC 101 is debatable) nor is it a “lol look at this weirdo” dragging. Instead, of the 3 he’s done so far, it’s usually a rather sympathetic look at some of the strange artists on the internet who through some way or another, left a very big cultural impact on the internet space through their art. Sometimes they may not be the best people, but their work is so outside of what we’re used to seeing that just listening to him run you through these people’s internet history is fascinating.
In this episode he talks about Jennifer Diane Reitz. And although it is titled Kokoro Wish, the lecture is more about Jennifer’s larger work back in the early internet when being a weeb was unheard of, how being trans influenced her stories and characters, and her world building that is so rich and in-depth with it’s own ASTRO PHYSICS it puts any modern fictional world found in games or movies to shame.
Jennifer is not exactly a nice person... and in many ways can be seen as dangerously irresponsible, but she created something truly unique in a way that you kinda struggle figuring out if it’s terrible or a work of genius.
Anyway I think that’s enough for now

My Top 10 Favourite Animes (So Far)
1. NANA
Tumblr media
I've loved nana since I was 10, it was my first anime. I'll prolly love it forever, it makes me cry and I just feels so real and nostalgic idk the aesthetic of this anime is my most favourite thing in the world. It's about two 20 year old girls who are polar opposites but have the same name meeting on a train to tokyo; and their worlds end up colliding. With Nana Osaki, the punk singer in a band trying to make it big and Nana Komaru, the girly romantic, it ends up being a story of young adults trying to figure out their lives. It's emotional and real, with emotional and real characters.
I'm also a nana osaki kinnie
2. Devilman Crybaby
Tumblr media
First of all: I LOVE ryo. His character depth is EXQUISITE. Second of all: I loved loved LOOOOVED the ending. It hurts but it's realistic and makes sense. It's complex... I enjoy complexity 😌✋ The plot is introduced as childhood friends trying to save the world from "devils," but I think it's REALLY a story about love and the complexity of it; how if you're greedy and narrow minded then you'll fuck up love for yourself. If you've seen the entire show then you know why.
I'm also in love with the shot of ryo pulling out his gun and shooting the devils at the sabbath party in episode 1
3. Ouran Highschool Host Club
Tumblr media
The characters are S O endearing. Except for Renge, she annoys me 💀 but honestly this anime is just really fun to follow. It's a girl who joins the host club as a boy in order to pay off her debt to the boys from the host club, while also making great friends with them in the process. The characters have a good dynamic and they work well with each other, especially cause they're all quite different from each other. IDK MAN I JUST REALLY ENJOYED THIS ANIME OK
4. Danganronpa
Tumblr media
Ok so tbhhh I don't really know if this one counts cause I love the games, not diggin the anime, but I think it's referred to as an anime so whatever lmfao. Again, the characters? Great, amazing, tasty. Like I'm being fed a full course meal with a bunch of different shit in it. Danganronpa is so diverse with it's characters, like some of them are kinda out there lmao. Yes, yes, I am also a Toko kinnie 😌✋ I enjoy the story of the main games and the antagonists are MMMM M W A H CHEFS KISS. The style of it is pretty cool too. It's about kids who wake up in a school only to find of they're being held hostage there unless they kill the others to be set free, if they can also escape the Phoenix Wright style court trial without being caught.
Side note: the games were supposed to be a LOT darker than they already are, like sickeningly dark, I almost wish they were what they were going to be just so i could see how they would have turned out.
5. Black Butler
Tumblr media
I am enchanted by the dark plot. I started watching Black Butler when I was like 13 and fell in love with it's universe. It's dark, cold, fun and thrilling. Did I mention dark? It's about a boy who makes a deal with a demon just so he can survive the trauma that was sprung onto him. Ciel is crafted as a kid who hasn't been able to heal, and probably never will. The manga is better than the anime, a lot better; but the series is SO good. This is wack to think about for me but this anime actually got me through some hard times. Not in the most healthy way, but It helped me grow a THICK ass skin because I would relate to the feeling of loneliness and revel in the only other feeling I had in me; rage. I used to kin Ciel so hard bruh
6. Beastars
Tumblr media
This anime gives me like a sorrowful depression afterward lmao like I can't put my finger on it but every time I've gone through it and binged it it's made me like sad, even tho it's not very sad?? I still love it tho. I love the idea of a wolf falling for a rabbit and having to fight his instincts just to be with her. Also, if you're an ARMY, legoshi has Namjoon's eyes. CAN'T EXPLAIN IT HE JUST DOES MK
7. Attack On Titan
Tumblr media
K ya it's a popular anime everyone likes BUUUUUUT it has a nice big place in my heart so it's going on this list. The development between characters throughout the anime and manga is intense. I didn't expect where the story is to this day; I don't think anyone did lmao also? When I first started reading the manga it was cause I needed to finish where the anime left off cause I couldn't wait any longer lol THE MANGA?? GIVES ME LIKE CHILLS?? Idk the manga is scary to read sometimes lol again, I can't place it, but sometimes it's so gritty I can hear the screams in my head and feel the ambiance and death in the air. I like an angry ambitious story 🤷‍♀️
8. Yuri On Ice
Tumblr media
GREAT love story. I also love yuri plisetsky a lot. The anime is really pretty and conveys a warm feeling. The pacing is really good as well. It moves pretty fast, considering it has like what, 12 episodes? I also loved the ending because like :') yurios debut dudes :') did u see the tears :'))))))
9. Death Note
Tumblr media
Ok so I recently rewatched this anime for probably the 4th time with a friend and realized that the pacing isn't too bad but sometimes it feels slow. Nonetheless, I love it a lot. A killer and a detective working together to capture that same killer is fun to follow. It has a really nice aesthetic and I think it's clever with various things handled in the anime. It's very entertaining, I love playing it in the background while I'm painting. Also, I have a death note 🤪
10. Cowboy Bebop
Tumblr media
This anime is different from most animes I get attached to, mostly because it loosely follows a plot but REALLY i think you could prolly tune into any episode and grasp what's going on. It's JUST space shananagins dude. Again, beautiful aesthetic. Cute characters. I love how cyborg man has a bonsai room like cmon that's such a cute character detail.
VERY Honourable Mentions
One Punch Man
K but one punch man is so funny wtf and it's very quirky and fun. Just the thought of a low budget superhero who isn't recognized as a superhero & can only kill bad guys with one punch & hates it is kinda funny idk man, mf does his deed of the day and then panics cause he needs to make it to the supermarket on time for the sale that's going on lmao
Soul Eater
Of course, great characters, great plot. Really good animation style. Funny with a dark aesthetic ♡
Your Lie In April
Okay hear me out. I haven't actually finished it yet. I just know that the characters have so much depth that I've been sucked in. I also don't think I've ever seen an anime THIS beautiful. Like really, this anime blows me away with how beautiful it is sometimes. It makes me rlly sad for some reason tho. Pretty music romance that'll remind you of your childhood mmmm

Anime for Halloween
I should have posted this before my movies list. But hell, It’s here now and Y’all can binge-watch over the next month. But little disclaimer. These are anime I have seen and ones I associate with Halloween because they have to do with something from the holiday. So anything with Vampires, witches, demons, etc. Anything I got a Halloween-y vibe from. This list is gonna be kind of long. Now time for me to suffer typing it and yall to get an idea from reading it.
<<<<>>>>
Title
Synopsis
My thoughts on the Anime
Everything in bold is strictly my opinion. Agree to disagree with me, and put down your own opinion in repost or in the comments but be respectful. Rude or anything of the sort will be deleted or reported depending on the severity.
<<<<>>>>
Tumblr media
07-Ghost
Teito Klein, a student at the academy, is one of the most promising soldiers produced. Although ridiculed by everyone for being a sklave (German for slave) with no memories of his past, he is befriended by a fellow student called Mikage. While preparing for the final exam, Teito uncovers a dark secret related to his past. When an attempt to assassinate Ayanami, a high-ranking official who killed his father, fails, Teito is locked away awaiting punishment.
This one is religious, HOWEVER, Demons and the Gods of Death kinda make it more Halloween-y so :p Also as a side note; It’s only subbed so all y’all who prefer dub are gonna be disappointed.
Tumblr media
Ancient Magus Bride
Chise Hatori, a 15-year-old Japanese girl, was sold for five million pounds at an auction to a tall masked gentleman. Abandoned at a young age and ridiculed by her peers for her unconventional behavior, she was ready to give herself to any buyer if it meant having a place to go home to. In chains and on her way to an unknown fate, she hears whispers from robed men along her path, gossiping and complaining that such a buyer got his hands on a rare "Sleigh Beggy." Ignoring the murmurs, the mysterious man leads the girl to a study, where he reveals himself to be Elias Ainsworth—a magus. After a brief confrontation and a bit of teleportation magic, the two open their eyes to Elias' picturesque cottage in rural England. Greeted by fairies and surrounded by weird and wonderful beings upon her arrival, these events mark the beginning of Chise's story as the apprentice and supposed bride of the ancient magus.
I love this one so much. My only issue is what would have made it more Halloween inspired would have been if they’s gone through Samhain and not skipped straight to Yule. BUT monsters, mages, witches, alchemists, and fae make this anime perfect for magic inspire Halloween watch.
Tumblr media
Another
In 1972, a popular student in Yomiyama North Middle School's class 3-3 named Misaki passed away during the school year. Since then, the town of Yomiyama has been shrouded by a fearful atmosphere, from the dark secrets hidden deep within.
Horror, horror, horror and gore. Enjoy this with friends and family who have a strong stomach and are old enough to not get scared. The deaths are absolutely horrific and it takes place all around a middle school class. (Read the novel, of the same name, it’s based off if you dare)
Tumblr media
Ao no Exorcist
Humans and demons are two sides of the same coin, as are Assiah and Gehenna, their respective worlds. The only way to travel between the realms is by the means of possession, like in ghost stories. However, Satan, the ruler of Gehenna, cannot find a suitable host to possess and therefore, remains imprisoned in his world. In a desperate attempt to conquer Assiah, he sends his son instead, intending for him to eventually grow into a vessel capable of possession by the demon king.
Anyone who’s been around anime long enough knows or knows of this anime. Who wouldn’t have added this into their Halloween Anime list? It has to do with Demons and the Son of Satan.
Tumblr media
Black Butler
Young Ciel Phantomhive is known as "the Queen's Guard Dog," taking care of the many unsettling events that occur in Victorian England for Her Majesty. Aided by Sebastian Michaelis, his loyal butler with seemingly inhuman abilities, Ciel uses whatever means necessary to get the job done. But is there more to this black-clad butler than meets the eye?
Classic as well. Don’t forget the movies and season 3. We don’t speak of season 2 0.0″ Also the manga has taken a VERY dark turn as of recent so if you’re looking for reading material, there you go.
Tumblr media
Blood-C
Peaceful schoolgirl by day, fearsome monster slayer by night, Saya Kisaragi is leading a split life. Equipped with a ceremonial sword given to her by her father for sacred tasks, she vanquishes every monster who dares threaten her quiet little village. But all too soon, Saya's reality and everything she believes to be true is tested, when she overhears the monsters speak of a broken covenant—something she knows nothing about. And then, unexpectedly, a strange dog appears; it asks her to whom she promised to protect the village, curious as to what would happen if she were to break that promise. Tormented by unexplainable visions and her world unraveling around her, we travel with Saya through her struggle to find a way to the truth in a village where nothing is as it seems.
Another very gory anime. Children, please do avoid.

Bloodivores
60 years ago, a strange case of insomnia struck the population, forcing them to stay awake for more than a full week. The victims, completely sleep deprived, all went mad. To cure this illness, a new medicine was produced, but the side effects turned the patients into vampires. Humanity went to war against this new species and triumphed, but some of the vampires managed to survive. Born from a Human and a Vampire, the main character Mi Liu, "The Child of Hope," is to represent the new hope that will connect the two species. Ringleader of a bank robbery, Mi Liu is arrested and transferred to a special prison of the National Defense Agency that monitors Vampires.
Genetically created vampires. Need I say more?
Tumblr media
Blood Lad
Staz Charlie Blood is a powerful vampire who rules the Eastern district of Demon World. According to rumors, he is a bloodthirsty and merciless monster, but in reality, Staz is just an otaku obsessed with Japanese culture and completely uninterested in human blood. Leaving the management of his territory to his underlings, Staz spends his days lazing around, indulging in anime, manga, and games.
A vampire otaku... Thank you, this is exactly what I needed.
Tumblr media
D.Gray-Man
Losing a loved one is so painful that one may sometimes wish to be able to resurrect them—a weakness that the enigmatic Millennium Earl exploits. To make his mechanical weapons known as "Akuma," he uses the souls of the dead that are called back. Once a soul is placed in an Akuma, it is trapped forever, and the only way to save them is to exorcise them from their vessel using the Anti-Akuma weapon, "Innocence."
*Piece of advice. D. Gray-Man the first series was not finished in Dub if you’re one who prefers Dub. So heading into D. Gray-Man Hollow, you’ll be confused as hell. It’s best to just watch Sub so you don’t have to worry about missing a huge chunk of info.
But if you like anime about demons and exorcists there’s more than just Blue Exorcist. This one I suggest because it’s phenomenal, but that’s personal opinion XD
Tumblr media
Dance with Devils
Ritsuka Tachibana has always been a good student, so she is completely shocked when she is suddenly summoned by the student council. Even more, they seem to think of Ritsuka as a troublemaker. Led by the handsome Rem Kaginuki, the student council—also consisting of Urie Sogami, Shiki Natsumizaka, and Mage Nanashiro—tries to question her, but it soon becomes clear that they have ulterior motives.
This is one based off an Otome (Dating game) so try YT for gameplay if you wanna see the whole story. Yet another about demons and exorcists, but this time there are vampires and Cerberus added to the mix. Plus for those who know-how Otome heroines are basically pushovers, this one has a strong-willed girl as our protagonist. Thank you, Ritsuka for breaking the mold T/\T
Tumblr media
Diabolik Lovers
At the behest of her father, Yui Komori goes to live in a secluded mansion, home to the six Sakamaki brothers—Shuu, Reiji, Ayato, Kanato, Laito, and Subaru—a family of vampires. Though at first the siblings are confused as to why the girl has arrived, they soon realize that she is to be their new "sacrificial bride," not to mention their other, more carnal intentions for her. After meeting the brothers, Yui quickly begins to question why her father would have sent her here and why she feels a strange, new pain in her chest. With each brother more sadistic than the last, Yui's life as a captive takes a harrowing turn in her new home. As her days turn into endless nights, and each brother vows to make her his own, Yui falls deeper and deeper into madness and ecstasy.
Otome with like 4? games, try YT for gameplay. I’m a little sad that it only has two seasons and the episodes are like 13-15 minutes long. Still, if you like Otome based games, you’ve most likely seen this. DO NOT EXPECT VANILLA ROMANCE. THIS IS NOT A FUN RIDE IF YOU EXPECT THAT.
Tumblr media
Death Note
A shinigami, as a god of death, can kill any person—provided they see their victim's face and write their victim's name in a notebook called a Death Note. One day, Ryuk, bored by the shinigami lifestyle and interested in seeing how a human would use a Death Note, drops one into the human realm.
Classic... But not my personal cup of tea. I added it because it’s a salute to one of my dear friends.
Tumblr media
Little Witch Academia
"A believing heart is your magic!"—these were the words that Atsuko "Akko" Kagari's idol, the renowned witch Shiny Chariot, said to her during a magic performance years ago. Since then, Akko has lived by these words and aspired to be a witch just like Shiny Chariot, one that can make people smile. Hence, even her non-magical background does not stop her from enrolling in Luna Nova Magical Academy.
This one is just cute and intense. Witches are starting to die out but one girl wants desperately to be a witch like her idol was. I love how this brings in witchy elements and some fairy tale elements.
Tumblr media
Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist
The story revolves around William, an aristocratic family's progeny with rare intellect. One day, his uncle lost his possessions after his business failed. Fearing that his family's name has been tarnished, William returns home and searches with his family's butler for anything that can be converted into cash. A search of the premises yields an underground room left by an ancestor. In the room is a magical seal, and William unintentionally summons a devil. The summoned devil tells William his name Dantalion and reveals that William is the designator who can choose the acting ruler of the demon world.
If realists were like William, I think the world would be on fire. The poor people that have to deal with him. At least most of them are demons, maybe that will knock his head into gear... right?
Tumblr media
Miira No Kaikata
High school student Sora Kashiwagi is accustomed to receiving bizarre presents from his father, who is on an expedition around the world. Unfortunately, these gifts have been nothing but nightmares. As a result, when his father sends him a huge package from Egypt, Sora prepares himself for the worst, only to be greeted by Mii-kun—a cute, pint-sized mummy! While initially wary, Sora soon learns that Mii-kun is harmless, a delicate creature yearning for attention.
I can understand people who don’t like horror or gore. I was there once. So here’s a cute anime about a boy and his pet mummy. Sanrio really did a great job turning the manga, which was darker than the anime, into something so cute and so wholesome.
Tumblr media
Mirai Nikki
Lonely high school student, Yukiteru Amano, spends his days writing a diary on his cellphone while conversing with his two seemingly imaginary friends Deus Ex Machina, who is the god of time and space, and Murmur, the god's servant. Revealing himself to be an actual entity, Deus grants Yukiteru a "Random Diary," which shows highly descriptive entries based on the future and forces him into a bloody battle royale with 11 other holders of similarly powerful future diaries.
I have no word on this.
Tumblr media
Owari no Seraph
With the appearance of a mysterious virus that kills everyone above the age of 13, mankind becomes enslaved by previously hidden, power-hungry vampires who emerge in order to subjugate society with the promise of protecting the survivors, in exchange for donations of their blood.
The Apocolypse starts and vampires rule the world. I dunno if that sounds like heaven or hell for me? But in this world, it would certainly be hell. Vampires rule the world but that doesn't mean the humans are gone. An army rises to protect what’s left from the bloodsuckers. And did I mention demons? Along with the concept of corrupt angels? Oh yeah, that’s gotta be hell on earth.
Tumblr media
Pandora Hearts
To young Oz Vessalius, heir to the Vessalius Duke House, the perilous world called the Abyss is nothing more than a folktale used to scare misbehaving children. However, when Oz's coming-of-age ceremony is interrupted by the malicious Baskerville Clan intent on banishing him into the depths of the Abyss, the Vessalius heir realizes that his peaceful life of luxury is at its end. Now, he must confront the world of the Abyss and its dwellers, the monstrous "Chains," which are both not quite as fake as he once believed.
I couldn't have found a better gif for this anime. It’s Alice in Wonderland inspired but with a much darker twist than what Disney gave us (and yes I do mean both the original and the Tim Burton version). Enjoy this one because it’s not all dark there is humor to break up the heart-wrenching. But don’t expect it to always be comical.
Tumblr media
Phantom in the Twilight
Set in modern-day London, the story takes place in a world where "Shadows" are born from human fear and anxiety. A young girl arrives to study abroad, only to be caught in a bizarre incident as she enters university. In a city with no acquaintances, the helpless girl wanders into "Café Forbidden," a mysterious café that exclusively opens at midnight. She meets an assortment of handsome men employed at the café, where guardians who protect the boundary between humans and shadow convene
Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and even demons; this one would be great for Halloween. I will admit though, it’s lackluster considering these guys are supposed to be Dracula, the Wolfman, and so on. It might be someone’s cup of tea, just not everyone’s
Tumblr media
Rosario to Vampire
Youkai Academy is a seemingly normal boarding school, except that its pupils are monsters learning to coexist with humans. All students attend in human form and take normal academic subjects, such as literature, gym, foreign language, and mathematics. However, there is one golden rule at Youkai Academy—all humans found on school grounds are to be executed immediately!
I couldn’t get through this one. I’m not gonna lie. It was basically light hentai and I’m not into that kinda stuff, but I feel like someone would have called me out for it not being here so T-T
Tumblr media
Servamp
Mahiru Shirota firmly believes that simple is best and troublesome things should be avoided at all costs. It is troublesome to do nothing and regret it later—and this ideology has led the 15-year-old to pick up a stray cat on his way home from school. As he affectionately names the feline Kuro, little does he know that this chance meeting will spark an extraordinary change in his everyday life.
I’m gonna be completely honest, the manga was better. I love the anime don’t get me wrong. I’ve rewatched it many times. But it cut out so much from the manga. So as an anime, watch it first before reading the manga, then go back and nitpick. If you do it the other way around you may be more disappointed.
Tumblr media
Soul Eater
Death City is home to the famous Death Weapon Meister Academy, a technical academy headed by the Shinigami—Lord Death himself. Its mission: to raise "Death Scythes" for the Shinigami to wield against the many evils of their fantastical world. These Death Scythes, however, are not made from physical weapons; rather, they are born from human hybrids who have the ability to transform their bodies into Demon Weapons, and only after they have consumed the souls of 99 evil beings and one witch's soul. This one is perfect for Halloween with it’s dark but funny themes. If you prefer the cutesier stuff like I do sometimes try Soul Eater NOT! The concept of soul-eating monsters and a school that teaches teens to fight and destroy them, A+ content. Plus some of those teens turn into actual weapons. Where is my sign up sheet? I would gladly take that over normal boring high school. Also add the grim reaper into the mix then give him a funny voice and disposition. Gold I tell ya.
Tumblr media
Togainu no Chi
In the wake of a third world war that left Japan in ruins, an organization known as Vischio seized control of Tokyo and renamed it Toshima. Taking place in its back alleys are battle games known as Igura, overseen by the Vischio, in which contestants battle and bathe in each other's blood to earn the chance to go up against its tournament's king, Il-re.
This one is for all my lovely fujoshi/fudanshi peoples. It’s a dark anime and based off a rated M, BL Otome. Sinners welcome.
Tumblr media
Tokyo Ghoul
Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city—a place where vicious creatures called “ghouls” exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh. However, the greatest threat these ghouls pose is their dangerous ability to masquerade as humans and blend in with society.
This one is mainstream for a reason. It’s a good story, anime or manga. Mainly manga. Anyway, I haven’t seen Re yet, but I’ve heard it’s sheit. Still gonna watch it though cause why the hell not.
Tumblr media
Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru
Growing up as an orphan, Yuki Sakurai questions his reason for living and the ability to see a person's painful memory by simply touching them. After receiving anonymous notes telling him to die, Yuki is unable to shake off the nagging feeling forming inside of him. Unbeknownst to him, he is being watched, both by people who want to harm him and those who want to protect him.
Reincarnation from a girl to a boy and the girl had a hot lover that is now with her male reincarnation. And the lover is a vampire. Man, that’s confusing but the story is good. I have yet to read the manga. The anime was great from what I can remember, so give it a shot. It’s another BL anime, so proceed with caution.
Tumblr media
Vampire Knight
Cross Academy is an elite boarding school with two separate, isolated classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. On the surface, Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu are prefects of the academy and attempt to keep order between the students as classes rotate in the evenings. As the Night Class is full of utterly gorgeous elites, this can sometimes prove to be a bit difficult. It is completely necessary, however, as those "elites" are actually vampires. Yuuki and Zero act as guardians, protecting the secrets of the Night Class and the safety of their ignorant morning counterparts.
If twilight was an anime, but Bella and Edward were siblings and Jacob was another vampire. This is not a great anime but let's face it, some of us watched it as preteens, enjoyed it, and were head over heels for Zero and/or Kaname. It’s a trash anime, but great for those who are 21 and over. Do I hear drinking games, anyone?
All synopsis came from My Anime List (where the links take you). Also, I’m sorry it’s a lot to read, I just didn’t want to cut them down. Feel free to add what you think should have been on here, or what you think is a Halloween favorite on reposts. Comments are welcome and have a happy spooky season!

Just sharing how BNHA changed my life
I usually don’t post personal stuff on this blog the moment I decided for it to be “All about shipping,” but I’m doing so anyway because this night has been really emotional.
Ever since March when I binge-watched BNHA, something changed in me. During that time, I was at my lowest with all kinds of problems dumping on me. I’m not clinically diagnosed by any mental illness but at that time, I really felt like it. Everything was sh!t - in work, financial matters, family problems, self-esteem issues, etc. Everything as in everything.
I was still trying my best to go to work, keep myself all glammed up (as my friends know me to be really fashionable and fond of makeup) but now matter how much I try to hide myself, everyone still saw how dead my eyes were. They realize how fake my smiles were and slowly, they noticed how my appetite has been affected by all my problems.
I won’t detail all my problems haha because I don’t want this to be a rant at life, but really, at that time, everything was falling apart.
Then my brother asked me if we could watch something. I said I wanted to try BNHA since it’s been on my list since forever and I thought I should give it a chance.
The very first episode caught me. I started regretting and saying “Why only now?” Everything just followed after that. Sleepless nights just to finish all three season, OVAs, and the movie. Of course, the manga as well. But no regrets at all. I was the happiest.
I felt like Deku was my baby and as I see him grow in each episode, I can’t help but smile and just cheer for him. And the number of babies continue to grow as another character gets introduced.
I often say “walang tapon” in my language which literally translates to “nothing can be thrown away” in English, and what I mean to say by this expression is that all characters and all scenes are important and it progresses the story. All the details that Horikoshi-sensei brings into BNHA are so fascinating that I had to keep all my attention because every scene is like a game for me, trying to spot all the details that would soon play something bigger in the future.
BNHA started ruling my life ever since then and I had to start joining the fandom in expressing its love. I started sketching my favorite ship (IzuOcha) and posting it, and I started joining groups, liking pages. My Facebook timeline and feed are literally filled with BNHA (aside from dogs and cats). But that’s not all, I had to do it here in Tumblr too which pushed me to create an Ao3 account and just mingle with the community.
And people started thinking that I was doing better. I just realized that this series touched me so much that it healed me. I mean, of course, in time, things in my life started to get better, but this really helped me crawl my way out. And it continues now. The writer and artist in me got that spark back and everyday the series inspires me because of how great it is.
Now I’m sharing this because today, I found out that three of my friends/acquaintances told me that they picked up the series because of me.
Unaware of it, I was fangirling and just telling them how great it is that they had to find out.
One of those, who is actually not into watching anime (and is more of into Kdramas), said that she finished all three seasons and the movie and she is in mixed emotions. And I just got teary-eyed after finding someone else who got touched of this. Since I personally know her and how she views anime, the fact that she was touched too really makes me feel warm all over.
And I just realized how I love this series more and how I would continue to support it. I’m already on my 3rd rewatch and 2nd reread of the manga. And I’d repeat and repeat it again.
Horikoshi-sensei, I know you won’t be reading this HAHA but I still want to thank you for creating BNHA. Our souls are blessed because of your creation and I hope it continues to get the recognition it deserves.

Putting blogging back in blog. Because twitter is hell on my brain but I still want to say things. If you find this post through tags/search do not @ me I do not care I do not want to hear from you despite being on a public forum we are all shouting into a void that holds onto every one of our thoughts on record forever
Anime Season Fall 2020 Tumblr doesn’t have an underline function boy this sucks what even is this page that opens from Ctrl-U
ANIME SEASON FALL 2020 Kind of balls. Not like, all balls, but mostly balls. Picked up 9 shows during season, and then another after. Ranked as following: Jujutsu Kaisen: 9 Maou-jou de Oyasumi: 8 Tonikaku Kawaii: 8 Golden Kamuy S3: 8 By the Grace of the Gods: 7 BURN THE WITCH: 7 Wandering Witch: Elaina: 7 King’s Avatar S2: 7 Noblesse: 7 Akudama Drive: 6 Not much to say. Jujutsu Kaisen just be good. I’ll pick up the manga after the anime ends. Still have another season of episodes to air. Cool shit. The show just got good stuff in it. Powers, cool. Characters, enjoyable. General world, cool. Animation quality, cool.
Maou-jou Sleepy Princess, sleeper hit. Really wasn’t expecting too much from the first episode but the comedy is actually quite solid and the characters are enjoyable. Endearing? Somehow manages to take a pretty basic idea and stretches it out into episodic without getting stale. Great characters. Probably won’t pick up the manga, unless I’m really digging around.
Tonikaku is ok. It has the quality. It has the characters. It has something mildly overarching that supposedly still hasn’t come to fruition in the manga. Won’t be picking up the manga series. But it was still an enjoyable watch.
Golden Kamuy S3, that’s just S3. Honestly, don’t feel like very much happened in the season. But it’s progressing plot. Animation is nothing to write home about, same as previous seasons, but it’s Golden Kamuy. Just nice to see the manga content animated. Personally I still find season 1 to be more enjoyable than the following season. Manga still bangs though. Manga only rises.
Slime Tamer Laundry, I liked the manga. Show gave more plot content. Adaption was fine. A little on the weak side of quality. Whatever. The slimes are cute. There isn’t weird fanservice. Main character is a cute lil’ kid. Rock on, single-minded isekai child. My brain: off. Make raincoats all you want. Fuck it.
Elaina, Elaina. All over the place. Didn’t enjoy that aspect. Characters, of which there were like four total reoccuring characters, were not that enjoyable. The two most common characters were just so not engaging. Plot: Fine. Episodic. But not chronological? And, spoilers, even more than that? The adaption veers off a tiny bit but significantly at the end according to source readers, and I just felt like issues could’ve been looked over, or at least just waved off if it didn’t. Whatever. Really didn’t feel like characters meant anything more than a tool to present the story. Which sounds incredibly stupid but, holy shit. Could’ve removed the main character and spun some of the episodes as general stories from the viewpoint of the episode’s characters. No fucking change.
I skipped over burn the witch in the list lmao. Kubo can make character designs. Early story plot is doable. it’s not lategame Bleach. Three episodes, covers the same as the manga. Nothing to say. Cool shit, neither enough depth or width to dig in to.
King’s Avatar S2 was actually a highly anticipated one for me, since I happened to have a soft spot for S1 despite all its flaws and shallowness. Personal favorite, S1. Season 2 is supposed to look prettier, but it’s more of a style change with a minor increase in quality. Less asset reuse, if any in S2. But boy. It’s like RWBY when they moved to the new engine. Action sucks. S1 they be reusing the same animation like 5 times in the same episode, every episode, but that shit hit. Slamming. S2 is weightless. Slow. Huang Shaotian isn’t even as cute in S2. So generic looking in S2. You felt the playstyle fit with his personality in S1 but in S2 he’s slowed down by the animation and it’s just so stilted. Disappointing.
Noblesse, probably a better adaption than God of High School, but not by much. Ultimately, Tower of God was a much more enjoyable watch than either. But all of them, all the webtoon anime adaptations just had something not quite right. Noblesse was very middle ground. Maybe a little less. No strengths, which is a weakness in itself. GOH had pretty nice animation, good weight to it, but they slammed the plot so hard, ouch. TOG, very pretty, but the action animation was a little... slow? Delayed? Kind of weird. At least GOH was kind of cool looking despite being such a disaster, Noblesse is just forgettable.
Akudama Drive. Picked this up and binged it post-season, since I’d heard things. Not a lot. Just saw some clips, it looked very visually appealing. Binged the whole thing in one sitting. Uh. Yikes. The plot is okay, but extremely quiet. Like, there isn’t a nice solid core to take in. Stuff just happens. That’s definitely a thing in the show. Stuff just happens. I fucking hated that. Like every episode, some shit just happens that, really, no reason it should’ve happened, and the plot moves forward on this basis. Based on what I’ve read, I guess I’m pretty alone in feeling this way? It scored moderately well from other people. And I also really didn’t care for the characters. Just, like, fuck. There might’ve been a few but they didn’t get much time or development. Great looking show, though. Hella aesthetic.
Upcoming Winter 2021? Fat. Hella fat. Hopefully the shows end up good.

Top Ten Ships Questions
Pick Your Top Ten Ships and without looking answer the questions
Hijacked this from another blog and decided it looked fun. (Note: my favorite ships are not written in any particular order. It was just whoever came to mind first)
1. Klance (Keith/Lance, Voltron Legendary Defender)
2. Victuurio (Viktor, Yuuri & Yurio; Yuri!!! On Ice)
3. Shukita (Yusuke/Akira; Persona 5)
4. Thominewt (Thomas, Newt & Minho; Maze Runner)
5. Jercy (Percy/Jason; Heroes of Olympus)
6. Phantom Hearts (Sora/Danny; it’s a crack ship, shhh)
7. Strifehart (Cloud/Squall; Final Fantasy 7/8 & Kingdom Hearts)
8. KeiKou (Kei/Kou; Ajin)
9. Bakugo/Midoriya (Boku no Hero Academia)
10. Alois/Ciel (Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji)
1.    Do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping 6?
It was a joke. In high school, I was in the process of writing a really fun adventure story for my friends and I ended up shipping them in story as a joke. Turns out, their chemistry was too strong so my friends and I started shipping them since.
2.    Have you ever read a FanFiction about 2?
One or two. They’re terrible though. Not a lot of people understand how to write a healthy poly ship without smothering it in porn or unnecessary drama. I’ve been tempted to write my own but I worry I won’t portray the characters correctly.
3.    Has a picture of 4 ever been your screen saver/profile picture/tumblr avatar?
HELL FUCKING YEAH FOR LIKE TWO YEARS
4.   If 7 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be?’
Laugh my ass off first then get their asses back together. I refuse to let Squall run away!
5.    Why is 1 so important?
There’s something intoxicating about their dynamic. They have exceptional chemistry and if any ship were to become canon within the realm of realism in Voltron, it would be Klance.
6.    Is 9 a funny ship or a serious ship?
It’s a chaotic and problematic ship thanks to Bakugo’s pride but Midoriya isn’t a walk in the park either. I like how “explosive” they are together. That’s what makes their dynamic interesting, it breaks the monotony of most ships.
7.    Out of all of your ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?
Had I written Victuri on here, I would have chosen that but I’ll have to go with klance.
8.    Out of all of the ships, which ship has the strongest bond?
Thominewt definitely. Too much went down between the three of them for it to mean nothing.
9.    How many times have you read/watched 10’s fandom?
LISTEN CHAPTER 129 FUCKED ME UP OKAY. I’ve been back and forth with binging the manga and anime this year.
10.  Which ship has lasted the longest?
I’m going to assume this question refers to how long I’ve shipped them since most of these couples aren’t canon (or true canon, I should say). The longest ships would have to go to Strifehart and PH. I’ve been shipping them both since 2008 so about 9 years now.
11.  How many times, if ever, has 6 broken up?
Lmfao like 4 times but they worked out their differences.
12.  If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 2 or 8?
Kei and Kou definitely because they’re Ajin so they can’t necessarily die.
13.  Did 7 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason?
Yup. Because Squall has issues. But it’s all good now.
14.  Is 4 still together?
Canon wise: no because Newt is dead. In fanon: fuck yeah. What is this death you speak of?
15.  Is 10 canon?
Oh god no. Ciel would never allow it. Does that mean I care? NOPE.
16. If all ten ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win?
If we’re talking based on abilities and skill…. KeiKou COULD Be the last one standing because they can’t DIE but in terms of raw power, Bakugo and Midoriya have that in the bag. Not even Jason and Percy could go up against that. But based on personalities, I feel like Ciel and Alois are ruthless enough to get shit done if it means they don’t have to get physical.
17.  Has anybody ever tried to sabotage 5’s ship?
Like, in canon? Well, not really because this ship isn’t romantic in the books. But in fanfiction, yeah, a few fans have written some interesting things.
18.  Which ship would you defend to the death and beyond?
Klance, because there are too many subtleties for it to be platonic until stated otherwise by the show and even then, I’d still fight for it. Other than that, I know it’s not on here but Victuri, because even if it IS canon, people still say it isn’t.
19.  Do you spend hours a day going through 3’s tumblr page?
15 minutes at most, because Shukita is a new ship for this year and there isn’t much content. ;w; BUT WHAT IS UP THERE IS PRECIOUS.
20.  If an evil witch descended from the sky and told you that you had to pick one of the ten ships to break up forever or else she’d break them all up forever, which ship would you sink?
Alois and Ciel because Alois is dead lmfao. It’s also a bit of a rare pair, so there isn’t too much content for them, sadly.

The Geeky Corner of Society
Summary: Y/N get’s a job in a geeky merchandise store were she meets a handsome Jensen Ackles look-a-like called Dean.
A/N: Lau from @dancingalone21 has reached 2,000 followers! Congrats babe! So to cellebrate that she made the “Lau’s AU Funny Quote Challenge”. My quote is “Honestly if I had a nickel for every time I hear a girl say that…” from Dean. And as AU I choose a geeky merchandise store (SPN excists in this AU)…
Yeah wish me luck you guys…
Warnings: Swearing (you know my writing by now, I hope), a bit of fluff I guess…
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Word Count: 1.8 k
Bae Tag: @cupcakequeen1999
Tumblr media
Your friend Jo wanted to go shopping with you on her day off from work. She said it was great shopping weather and that you really needed to get out of your apartment. You accepted her offer even though you really didn’t like shopping because everybody is running around, trying to find that one perfect thing they are looking for. You didn’t like the stress and rush of shopping. You wanted to take your time to decide things while all the other shoppers are in a hurry.
You planned a rendez-vous with Jo at the Starbucks at the beginning of the main shopping street. Whilst waiting you decided to drink a coffee and spend your time on Tumblr. You ordered a Java Chip Frappe and a little snack. A barista yelled your name and you went to get your order and thanked the barista.  When you got back to your table at the window you felt your phone buzz in the pocket of your jeans. God I need a pair of new ones you thought to yourself when you pulled out your phone. You had a text from Jo.
Sorry can’t make it. Fam buzz. I’ll call later!
Fucking great! Now you came all the way out here to shop with Jo and she just bailed on your shop date. Well since you are already here it wouldn’t hurt to do a bit of shopping.
You found a nice outfit. You fell in love with the plaid dress and the matching green jacket. You planned to return home an start binge watching yet another show online that was on your list when a store caught your eye. It was a little shop on the corner of the main shopping street. It was called “the Geeky Corner of Society”. You chuckled and started to make your way over to the store to check it out. When you entered the store your moth fell open from surprise. It’s just perfect… Almost every fandom you could think about had its own little section. There was a section from Marvel, DC, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, Disney, The Walking Dead, Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, all kinds of Anime and Manga stuff, Gaming merchandise and last but definitely not least Supernatural. Every section was neat and decorated in its theme, there were even little sceneries made with Funko dolls of every fandom.
You were just admiring the view that you didn’t even notice when a employer walked towards you to see if they could help. They just stood next to you as they watched your reaction.
“I know right. My boss … She put all of her efforts and money into this. She really turned this into a geek  heaven.”, someone pulled you out of your trance. You closed your mouth and turned around to see who was talking to you. You got greeted by a pair of lovely apple green eyes. The mystery man was rather tall and wore a Supernatural t-shirt and a pin with his name on it. Dean.
“Wow, she must be awesome”, you muttered under your breath. “It must be nice to work here I guess.”
“Yeah, she is. She does so much for the people around her, she just keeps on giving but doesn’t get anything. That’s why I am helping her out here, she was planning to do this all on her own… Well yeah, working here is fun ya know. Most people that enter the store are constantly walking around with this huge smile plastered on their faces. That makes me happy too I guess.”, he replied.
You saw a lady walking towards another costumer to ask if they needed any help. She also wore a Supernatural t-shirt. Instantly Dean slid in front of you and put on a bright smile. His sales smile you guess.  “Hi and welcome to ‘The Geeky Corner of Society’! My name is Dean, can I help you with something?”
“Is she your boss?”, you ask.
“Yeah, ‘ve gotta work too instead of talking to a lovely lady like you…”, he whispered back.
“Uh… Um, thanks… I guess”, you reply shyly. Dean coughs awkwardly while clearing his throat.
You took a better look at him while you walked over to the Harry Potter section with him right behind you. You were looking at all of the wands that were displayed while something popped up into your head.
“Hey, you kinda look like Dean from Supernatural! Oh goodness I thought I recognised you from somewhere!”, you said as you turned towards him. You almost bumped into him because he stood much closer then you expected.
“Honestly if I had a nickel for every time I hear a girl say that…”, Dean replied.
“Oh, so I am not the first one to say it either! You just look like twins! And you even have the same name! It must be so easy to cosplay as him!”, you practically squealed.
“Well uh… Yeah I cosplay as him but nobody has ever seen that”
“You don’t have to be ashamed! You uh, look good”, you felt the heath rising to your cheeks as you started to blush. You turned around to the t-shirts so Dean wouldn’t see that you were blushing. You dropped the conversation about his resemblance to your favourite one of the brothers, since you sensed that he didn’t feel comfortable.
“So how did you get into Supernatural?”, Dean asked.
“It’s kinda a funny story. I just did. I was binge watching another show and I just stumbled upon it, well I heard about it before on Tumblr so I decided it wouldn’t hurt to start watching it. I must say, I was hooked from the first 15 minutes.”
“So you really are a big fan, huh?”
“It’s in my blood! But how did you get in to it?”
“Uh, I never got your name…” Dean subtly changed the topic from him to you.
“Y/N.”, you replied shyly.
“Well, it’s nice to meet ya!”, he says while his cheeks seemed to get a little bit redder.
“Likewise!” Seriously? Likewise? This isn’t the ’40, Y/N!
“Um, you… You have something on your cheek, wait a sec…”, Dean said while he came closer to you. He cupped your face with one of his hands while he gently rubbed your left cheek with his other hand. All of the sudden it felt like the two of you were the only one on the whole planet. You just stayed there staring into his eyes. It just feels like you’ve landed it one of those fluffy fanfictions you read on Tumblr.
“DEAN! You are giving that poor girl a heart attack! We can’t afford that!”, Dean’s boss yelled suddenly.
“Son of a bitch”, Dean muttered under his breath while you stood there giggling. It had been a long time since you felt that way around a guy. Dean made you feel like a teenager with raging hormones, and you didn’t even mind it. Because of him your hearth farted rainbows and you started to giggle. Like full on giggling. You tried to stop it but the looks Dean’s boss was giving him didn’t really help. You thought your laugh sounded awful but Dean liked the sound, wait… scrap that, he loved it.
“I heard that!”, the lady replied while sticking her thumbs in the air and winking at you.
While you were shopping Dean staid at your side and helped you. You made some small talk for 10 minutes and started to get to know each other. Sometimes you would get bold and you would flirt a little bit. You picked what you could afford. Your shopping basket was filled with 2 Harry Potter t-shirt of your house, Gandalf’s Funko, a Sherlock mug, a Doctor Who piggy bank, a bloody metalic Dean Funko and a bloody metalic Sam Funko. You needed to get rid of one of the things because you couldn’t afford all of it. You walked to the cash registers, you still couldn’t decide which thing you would drop. Dean saw the frown on your face when he took his place behind the cash register and got an idea.
“Hey Y/N. I’ll pay for the thingy you want. Think of it as a gift.”, Dean said.
“Wha-, no! That’s… No? I can’t accept that!”, you replied.
Dean’s boss popped up behind him and looked at you. “It’s on the house.”
You were dumbfounded: “No! That’s too sweet, I can come back later and buy it you guys…”
As if planned Dean and his boss spoke in sync: “I insist!”
“If you won’t just accept it as a gift…”, Dean started.
“… We can make a deal if you want to.”, his boss finished.
“Am I at a crossroad or something, do I need to kiss a demon?”, you asked.
They both just looked at you with wide eyes and you wished you could have Susan Storm’s powers right now. After a while the friendly lady threw her head back as she started laughing: “Oh God, that’s a good one! No you don’t have to kiss a Dean-mon, well if you want too you can go ahead…” You started to blush as the lady winked at you and wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. Dean didn’t hear the pun and you were kinda glad he didn’t.
The lady continued: “We can make a deal. You get one of the Funko’s as a gift…”
“And?”
“We could use some help in the store, well if you don’t have a job at the moment…”, she said with a serious face. Dean stared at his boss with wide eyes and she just looked back at him and flashed a big ol’ smile.
“Oh I would love to work here! You guys are so lucky I am unemployed right now!”, you squealed. “Yes! Absolutely, sign me up! Ahem, so my name is Y/N.” you said while you stretched your arm. She didn’t shake your hand but just gave you a fist bump.
“My name is Becca but you can call me ‘tha Boss’”, she introduced herself while she threw some glitter and confetti around her. “’ve been waiting to do that forever!”
Dean started chuckling and turned to Becca: “ You really haven’t changed at all, did you now?”, he then turned to you as he whispered: “That’s the same line she used when I got ‘oficially’ recruted”
“Why would I? So Y/N, your shift starts tomorrow at 10 a.m., if that’s okay for you. Can I have some personal information so I can send you the details?”
She handed you a paper and a pen. I have a paper, I have a pen… Nghh. Paper-pen. You mentally face palmed yourself for doing that and going there. You wrote down your personal information. You were really glad Jo ditched you, otherwise nothing of this wouldn’t have happened.

Anime I need to watch (April 2017 Update)
Wow, has it been a month already? Okay then, time to give my thoughts on the anime I’ve seen this month and then update my list accordingly. A LOT more to go through this time since I’ve been on a bit of a movie binge
Okay, first off I’ve just finished the Dark Tournament Saga of Yu Yu Hakusho, so I’m up to episode 67 out of 112. I got through it a bit slower than I thought because other stuff kept coming up. I’ll still give more of my thoughts on the show when I’m done, but I’ll say I really liked this saga. It was very well written, had some great fight scenes, and the story and character development were very compelling. If I have any complaints it’s that the saga sometimes felt like it dragged on a lot, it did feel like it took forever to get through even without the breaks I took. Also, Genkai suddenly showing up alive out of nowhere at the end of episode 66 was stupid and nonsensical and it better get a good explanation, because right now this just seems so forced and unnecessary.
In between that though, I also got the DVD for the series The Devil is a Part Timer in the post, so I took a day off to binge watch all 13 episodes.
The Christian part of me wonders if I should really be watching a show starring Satan as the main character and portraying him as actually not that bad a guy. But then again, the geek in my is just shrugging my shoulders and having fun with such a ridiculous premise as the devil working in a McDonalds parody. Weird feeling in the back of my head aside though, the show was pretty fun and charming. The characters were likeable, the humour was fine and overall it was just an enjoyable show through and through.
It’s not perfect, the second to last episode felt pretty underwhelming, and the final episode while not bad didn’t really feel like a final episode, though that epilogue was nice. And yeah, this feels like a story that was meant to go on longer than it did, but it’s been four years and no second season so I’m guessing we’re not getting any more of it in anime form. I guess I could give the light novels or manga a try, but it always irks me whenever I get into a show only to find out it was ended sooner than it should have been. But apart from that, I didn’t have any big problems. It’s a good show. Not amazing, but it was fun and a pleasant way to kill some time, and sometimes that’s all I need. Not much else I can think to say and I have a lot else to talk about.
Like I mentioned in my last update, I got the DVD for the movie Only Yesterday, one of the few Studio Ghibli films I haven’t seen yet, which only got dubbed fairly recently. So I watched it at the start of the month aaaaaaaannnd... it wasn’t for me.
Now before anyone comments, Only Yesterday wasn’t a bad movie. I get what they were going for with it, being a series of events from someone’s life and to paint a picture about what sort of person the main character grew up to be as she’s trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. I can definitely appreciate the value of what the film was going for... but, the whole thing was just too disjointed and not always that interesting for me to get all that invested. Looking back, I kinda find it hard to find the words to describe this movie and how I feel about it, it was certainly a unique experience for me I’ll give it that and I don’t regret watching it, but unlike all the other Studio Ghibli films I’ve seen I don’t really see any reason to come back to this one. It’s not even that I don’t like grounded slice of life stuff, Whisper of the Heart is easily in my top 3 Ghibli films. I can’t say Only Yesterday was bad, because it really doesn’t feel like a bad film, but it’s not something I care to watch again.
After that I think the next anime movie I saw was Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys, one of two Advanced series Pokémon movies I missed out on. This one I liked more... but it was just okay. Really, I don’t know what else to say about it. The story was okay, Noah was a good character but everyone else was just okay. The action and visuals were okay, barring some conspicuous cgi. Deoxys and Raquaza were okay. Really, it just like one of the more average Pokémon movies I’ve seen. I’m still glad I saw it, but I remember as a kid hearing about it from people and knowing a Pokémon I really loved like Rayquaza was in it, I guess I always thought that it was something bigger and more interesting than it was. Ah well, that happens.
Hmm. Two meh movies in a row. Let’s spice that up with another Ghibli film. The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, which was much more up my alley. I love the art style of the movie, it worked perfectly well for an adaption of this Japanese folk story and just really stands out among most other anime movies I’ve seen. I liked the characters and the story, while there were a few questionable parts here or there, was pretty good, and I did feel sad by the time things came to an end. It wasn’t really the best Studio Ghibli film I’ve seen, but it certainly did a lot more for me than Only Yesterday.
Okay, I think the next film I saw was Akira. And that was... um... ... what the heck WAS it?
Seriously, I still don’t completely understand what I watched. I’ve heard this movie was adapted from a pretty long manga that wasn’t even finished when the movie was released, and that a lot of stuff had to be condensed... it shows.
I’ll say that the visuals were great and when I understood well enough what was going on, the movie certainly had plenty of good moments. But it feels like there were a lot of scenes or moments haphazardly slashed out of the film at various points that would have made the story feel more coherent. I could understand the gist of what was going on after giving things some thought and seeing the whole film, but the story and various characters feel underdeveloped or just not explained well enough at times, it was hard for me to get invested and just enjoy the movie. It wasn’t a bad experience necessarily, but I think this is one classic that’s really not for me. I think I’ll try to read the manga at some point, but I honestly didn’t quite get the film. And this is coming from someone who was able to mostly follow Evangelion.
And after that bit of weird grittiness, I watched another Pokémon movie. Pokémon Heroes. This was honestly the only original series Pokémon movie I had never seen before the cast change, since I just never got around to it for some reason. And I gotta say, I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t as great and epic or had as much depth as stuff like Spell of the Unown or Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, but it was a really charming movie with some genuinely touching and sad moments. It was well animated, the villains didn’t have a lot of depth but they were more fun to watch than a lot of movie villains. Latios and Latias were pretty interesting, and Ash was at his best here. The whole thing with Ash possibly getting kissed by Latias at the end is a little weird, but hey, it wasn’t as creepy as say that kiss scene from Sonic 06, and this wouldn’t be the first time the anime has had a Pokémon crush on Ash. Ain’t that right, Bayleef? Apart from that though, this was a fun movie and I’d gladly come back to it sometime soon.
Wish I could say the same for the next Pokémon movie, Hoopa and the Clash of Ages... boy that felt hollow.
You know, I don’t really mind that the movie didn’t have a strong story. If they wanted to make a movie that was all about spectacle and showing off as many legendary pokemon in a big battle as possible, I’m all for that. There’s nothing wrong with a dumb movie, as long as it’s something fun. But honestly, the plot was so thin and unengaging, that when it got to the clash of legends, everything just felt kind of... bland. Like, there were good moments, but overall the fight just felt empty and not as spectacular as a battle of this scale should be. There was no sense of scale or tension, it was just... meh. There were a lot of interesting ideas for a story here, but everything felt underdeveloped and that it would have made more sense as a long arc of the show.
And then there were plenty of stupid things in the movie, worst of which being that literal deus ex machina of a climax. I’ll give Pokémon the First Movie this credit, it had a lot of dumb moments, but the movie at least felt interesting and enjoyable. This... ehh, I just couldn’t find it all that satisfying. And I really wanted to enjoy it. Honestly it’s not often I finish a movie feeling pretty empty, but here you go.
Thankfully I did have time for one more Pokémon movie, Jirachi Wish maker, the last Advanced generation movie I hadn’t seen. And luckily it was decent. Nothing great, more around Destiny Deoxys level quality. In that it was really average and a little slow at parts, but it had plenty of good moments to it and it was overall charming, which felt like a needed breath of fresh air considering I watched it immediately after Hoopa and the Clash of Ages (Came in the post together). But this post is going on pretty long so I can’t go into much more detail.
And then the last film I watched was The Last: Naruto the movie.
(Deep breaths).
I have a lot of mixed feelings about Naruto these days. I discovered the series when it was still airing on Jetix in my country (Back when Jetix was still a thing), and I quickly grew to love it. For a long time it became my favourite show of all time, even briefly eclipsing Dragon Ball Z as my favourite anime (Given time and retrospect and watching Dragon Ball and Z again, no, they’re still my favourite, but back then that’s how I felt). I really loved the series and I kept up with every update on the story, and despite not enjoying a lot of the stuff with Sasuke after the fight with Itachi I enjoyed everything in the manga right through the Invasion of Pain story arc... and then things gradually started slipping off the rails for me.
I won’t give you a full detailed account of my personal history and how I felt about the series as things went on, but I kept up with news on the story and checked in on the manga right up until it ended, and from the conclusion to the Kage summit arc right to the end, soooo much stupid and bad stuff happened that just left me confused, annoyed, baffled and angry that Naruto honestly just turned into a chore and then a big disappointment, and I was only following updated on it because I was too invested to not want to see how it ended. I legitimately don’t think I’ve ever been angrier at a plot twist than I was with the whole Kaguya is the big evil mastermind reveal than I have been with any other reveal outside of One More Day. It got to the point that while it ended, even though things I wanted desperately to see for the longest time like Naruto becoming Hokage and getting together with Hinata ended up happening, I just wasn’t satisfied and in fact all I could feel was empty and upset that the second half of the series had turned out so badly.
The final third of Naruto was honestly the most frustrating experience I’ve had with any piece of media I’ve ever loved outside of maybe a lot of the nonsense Marvel’s been pulling like OMD and HYDRA Cap. I’ve been feeling melancholy about the whole thing for years, just feeling down and empty and wishing things had turned out better. I never even saw The Last despite it sounding like the story I’d been wanting to see.
Recently I’ve been feeling more and more nostalgic for it, especially between the whole announcements of it’s follow up Boruto and the Shippuden anime FINALLY coming to an end. So, I recently ordered up the DVD, and yesterday I watched The Last: Naruto the Movie for the first time.
And for all the ups and downs and mixed feelings, all the bitter feelings I’ve had over Naruto... I enjoyed the movie. It wasn’t perfect, but it was beautifully animated, had some great fight, the story was good, and as someone who considered NaruHina their number 1 OTP for years, to the point it’s actually what got me to start reading fanfiction, the movie was really touching. It was satisfying seeing Naruto and Hinata finally getting together, and that final scene especially was just beautiful.
I won’t go into full detail, because if I feel like it I might do a sort of review on the movie at some point, but I’m very glad I watched it. After the last several years, it felt like the closure I never really got with this series. I can’t force myself to sit through or enjoy a lot of the stuff towards the tail end of Naruto, but for what it’s worth, looking back... I’m still glad I got into it. I’m glad for all the fond memories I have of the franchise. I’m glad for all the good in Naruto, and all the good times I’ve had being a fan. I’m glad that Naruto got to fulfil his dream and earn the happy ending he so very much deserved, and got to be with a woman who truly loves him. And... I’m glad for The Last. That it exists, and that I finally watched it.
Honestly, I think now I want to go back and watch some of the series when it was good, for old times sake. And when the DVD for Boruto comes out in June on Amazon, I think I’ll watch that movie too. Who knows, if I like that maybe I’ll check out the anime or manga follow up too. Less likely, but who knows, I’m feeling nostalgic now.
I may not be able to call Naruto my favourite show anymore. And I won’t call the second half of Part II of the manga and Shippuden good. But I think now enough time has passed that the bitterness I’ve been feeling over the series has finally faded, and I can be happy to still call myself a fan of Naruto. It’s not perfect, it should have ended up better in the later stages. But when it was good, it was something magical to me, and I choose to remember it for all the joy it brought to me.
So, to close it out... thanks Kishimoto. Thank you for all the times your series brightened up my life. Good luck with whatever you do next.
Well, I guess that’s all I really needed to say for now. This was a... fairly productive month for me. Hopefully next month will be even more so. Until then, I’ll just leave things at the updated list. I’m just gonna go finish Yu Yu Hakusho now.
