Variety of Manfred Von Karma Headcanons

MvK would collect novelty canes that he would pay hundreds of dollars to make actually supportive too. He has a multiple of canes that have the handles look like animal heads. He has like 5 sword canes. He has a cane that is also a telescope. Like the handle transforms into a telescope he can look through. Franziska asks for a sweet and he opens a little hatch on his cane handle and a bunch of butterscotch candy falls out.

He collects things that are interesting to him. Canes. Model trains (headcanon im stealing from one of my fics. He loves model trains and trains and keeps them all in his attic because "I was told to grow out of such hobbies".

I think his manor had an observatory with a large professional telescope that Miles and Fran would use to look at the stars. Manfred does not use the observatory because it belonged to his late wife and being near it makes him sad.

Miles: He never goes in here? Really?

Fran: All I know is that it belonged to mama, and he doesn't like looking at mama's things.

Was just suddenly bombarded with the image of modern Manfred dressed like a Sk8RbOi™️ and hissing "Respect the drip" when Emmrich asks him what in the heavens he's wearing.

Definitely the influence of some of G'iney's family members.

Manfred having a "teenage dirtbag" era. I'm so here for it, and the shenanigans that would come from it.

And I'm sure G'iney family just spurs him one, because 1) Manfred deserves it, and 2) he pulls it off. I mean, he's a SKELETON. Of course he looks great in some punk-inspired looks. How can he NOT? Yet he could dress like Paddington bear and get an ovation (which would be the cutest Halloween costume, oh my god.)

Cue Manfred and the fam doing these fashion shows for G'iney and Emmrich, and the man is SO confused by so many of the things, but he is gonna be supportive of his boy.

7. your favorite tropes to read/write/draw? Oh I know this one

I am such a sucker for found family. I'm still one or two toes in the Silmarillion fandom and love kidnap fam (and a fic called Identity Theft featuring even more found family and accidental baby acquisition, which has got to be a close second for that alone), but Charlie Bone also has some really good examples: Emma with Julia (and Paton), Billy (esp. at the end), Bartholomew, Zobayda's hoard of kids and. all of the Red family's kids found or not honestly, Henry and his entire book, Benjamin with the Bones I guess?, both Treasure and Pearl...

I love it so much. I love family and wholesomeness :3

hiya! i write quite a lot of what you're looking for in prosecutor fam fic. my manfred is pretty exclusively 'obvious criminal, emotionally constipated but overall loving dad' and i try to make him more nuanced.

it's frustrating because miles and zuko are fundamentally the same character. but thats really where it ends. nothing gets my goat more than people who compare franziska and azula, it's like announcing with one's who chest that they don't understand either of them.
