Agreed. I typed meals into 3 types:
Skraan - personal meal,
Ori'skraan - family meal,
Alii'gai'skraan - ceremonial meal.
This would be common for the latter 2, especially on weddings.

So I've recently learned what a Hāngī is; in short it's a traditional Māori cooking method. Hot rocks are heated over a fire, and food is placed over the rocks in baskets and the baskets are covered and the food cooked! Wikipedia describes this style as "pit oven". Hāngī is used to feed lots of people, and often are for celebrations or other gatherings of people.
I think mandalorians would use this method for cooking! It's a good method, and mandalorian culture is very communal. Big clan gatherings with large hāngī. When a mand'alore calls the clans together - an even larger hāngī, with all clans contributing. After a successful hunt or raid, everyone works together to eat good food!
