Ohh excellent question! I have been wondering about this myself. I wanna say it's a combination of the fact that he's based on a Flying V guitar which held upside down does look like bunny ears, and the fact that his color scheme is mostly white. But instead of being called White Bunny or something like that, Nordic Bunny sounds more kickaass. Like you would expect a bunny that lives in snowy areas to be white. Probably inspired on artic rabbits too, which are a real thing. And i do agree that the show gives off a Nordic/Scandinavian rock vibe at times... the Molox rock gods in particular do give me that vibe (they remind of the bands Axenstar and Altaria, which i enjoy a lot).
And i think it's also meant to sound kinda silly too... i mean you expect an evil alien overlord to have a really menacing name, but can you really feel threatened by someone who has "Bunny" as part of their name? 😆 (it's ok, i'll pretend to be scared just to humor him).
Which leads me to agree with your other theory... maybe his alien name was something totally different (and more menacing) but it was missheard and translated as Nordic Bunny, perhaps sounded similar to that but it wasn't supposed to be that! 😂

Hey! Do you think there’s any chance they might not make Romione canon in the upcoming HBO series because of the popularity of other pairings and JKR’s somewhat recent statements concerning the ship?
fair warning this is gonna be a long post!
you know anon, i’m not gonna deny that the possibility of romione not being canon in the hbo series doesn’t keep me up at night HOWEVER COMMA-
I believe romione will be safe because i’m placing a lot, if not all, of my faith in the upcoming hbo series being repeatedly described as a "faithful" adaptation of the 7 novels. which we can deduce to mean romione friends to lovers slow burn endgame and all that good stuff (maybe i'll talk about the potential of book romione and the serial tv medium some other time)
and sure, it can all be marketing/pandering/etc. but i find it so hard to feel cynical about hbo because i love LOVE their shows and i'm of the belief that they know how to tell a good ass story (and romione happens to be a good ass romance subplot). i also have such positive feelings about the showrunner Frances Gardiner (consulting prod on succession and also has killing eve under her belt) who JKR chose herself and one of the exec producers of the show who's set to direct of a bunch of episodes Mark Mylod (succession, the menu, tlou, got)!!!! and if you know me at all you'll know that succession is one of the main pillars of my personality and i fucking love that show so bad I would follow anyone who was part of the making of that show off a cliff if they asked me to. and Mark Mylod is a fantastic fucking episodic director who's directed and produced some of the best episodes of television ever, so i know he knows how to tell a good story. and though i'm a lot less familiar with Gardiners' work, she is a female creative who has some of my personal favourite episodes listed in her imdb (chiantishire, living+, tailgate party) who's pitch of the show made joanne give her the job so.... and y'all know im a canon bootlicker and love the books so all i'll say is.. real recognizes real.
so knowing the creative team behind hp series had a direct hand in making my favourite show of all time gets me so excited and giddy!!!!
but here's where my personal theories and speculations start: I really think with this hbo series, JKR is on a mission is create something wholly and newly hers. she was barely involved creatively in the production of the movies until DH pt. 1 and 2 and the movies have almost become an entity of its own that's drifted so far away from her. of course i realize me even just talking sympathetically about JKR is deeply touchy and might piss some people off but as a fellow creative, i feel for her man!! when i think of the best books in the series in my opinion that are filled with the best bits of world building and political commentary, what i find is that GoF was handed to a director who didn't even read the book, OotP was the shortest movie in the franchise despite being the longest book and how it entirely missed the Quibbler plot and all of harry's rage, or HBP that was filled to the brim with *chefs kiss* tom/voldemort lore which was done a complete disservice in the grey and brown sludgy mess that is the HBP movie.
and knowing that JKR now has a strained relationship or had a falling out with most of the top dogs involved in the films like Kloves and Yates (hallelujah what who said that) and Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe means this show has the chance to be a behemoth that’s entirely joanne’s, like the books are. it’ll be free of Kloves' Hermione and harmony (harry x hermione) favouritism or Watson's take on Hermione's character that makes my ass itch or Yate’s complete inability to direct his actors and make non-action scenes have heart, soul and heft. but i also can’t not address the elephant in the room: this section of the discussion is filled with every shade of grey possible because what led to the falling outs was that they all vehemently disagreed with JKR's anti-trans views and good on them they absolutely should! but like.............. i hated kloves' writing and his butchering of ron's character, i think yates is a static and boring director and im not a fan of emma's acting so like... a win is a win? NO IT'S NOT. but IT IS. BUT IT'S SO NOT. but do you see what i'm getting at???
the point i'm trying to make is that joanne is not the same person she was when she was first writing the books or when the movies were being made. I think she's a lot more ruthless and cutthroat now and while i disagree with her methods and condemn her transphobia.... i think this newfound hardness to her will lend itself to making the hbo series the best HP adaptation it can be, I'M SORRY it's absolutely fucked and i acknowledge and abhor her gender critical politics as a queer woman but im also an artist who just wants good, high quality stories to be told 😔😩
and as for the other popular ships and JKR's somewhat recent comments about romione:
I think its safe to say that joanne dgaf about this fandom and what's popular in it anymore LMFAOOOO 😭😭😭 i genuinely respect that she's always stood ten toes down about how draco's not some antihero, bad boy love interest and at best is a cautionary tale on prejudiced bullies, so I don't think that's changing anytime soon. especially considering that the dramione cottage industry that its fans have made is more or less a reactionary "fuck you" to joanne and canon which they do by writing fanfic about crimes against women and making merch and binding physical copies of said fanfics (really showing it to the big baddie transphobic DV survivor by *checks notes* auctioning hermione off as a sex slave) so I doubt she'd ever consider other ship's popularity seriously. as for the possibility of harry and hermione becoming endgame um..... if the show plans to faithfully adapt the books then we'd get harry and hermione’s quintessential sibling dynamic plus we’re already free from Kloves (also i have faith in francesca and mark knowing that harmony are just plain BORING) so i think the chances, again, are low. and if joanne really wants to stick it to her old colleagues, she can go down the route of pushing romione that much harder (and she really wouldn’t have to do much, it’s all in the books already) 😭
as for the comments on romione that she’s made in recent years, i think a lot of it’s been blown out of proportion or have gone through a terrible game of telephone. what she said (paraphrasing here) about ‘wishing she’d handled ron/hermione differently because a lot of what went into them was a wish fulfillment fantasy’ has turned into ‘jk rowling regrets making romione endgame???!!’ which is just *takes a drag from a cigarette* just another tuesday around here. i also would link to two meta posts by @saintsenara on the topic of endgame romione which i wholeheartedly agree with it
all i have to say is that going into making this show i hope joanne remembers that she based ron’s character off of a person in her life she liked when she was younger and who is still a good friend of hers now 😭😔
you guys probably know i’m in animation school which is basically film school in a different font. so i’m quite literally training to one day work in the story department on projects and work alongside writers, directors and producers, so this stuff means a lot to me! she and the creative team behind this upcoming show have the chance to make something really special and i’m finding it hard not to root for them!!!!!
#jesus christ i need to learn how to shut up#romione#harry potter#harry potter tv series#harry potter tv show#hp tv#anti dramione#anti harmione#anti harmony#oops! i think i’ve made my stance on non romione ships pretty clear so this shouldn’t come as a shock#jk rowling#hp meta#harry potter meta#toorumlk#nusreplies

silly question time, those marks on the sides of Drifter's face, are they tatoos, scars, or just like, weird wrinkles? In-game the shading makes them look like scars, but they are perfectly symmetrical. Is it like a Dregen thing? Result of some blood ritual, maybe?
They're scars. We can see them especially clearly in Gambit openings that focus on his face.
As far as I know (and I have searched pretty extensively through the Ishtar Collective and the Destiny Lore Vault) there is no current in-game explanation for the Drifter's facial scars.
We do have some interesting tidbits, though. One is from Cayde in his post-death message to the Drifter.
He says "back when you were still handsome." Implying the Drifter is less-so now. I'm going to put aside the obvious inaccurate concept that scars make someone less beautiful but use this as an example that the Drifter may have been different, physically, in the past.
(There is a strong counter-argument here, that Cayde's definition of 'handsome' may not be entirely physical. It's highly congruent with the Drifter's character for him to alter his appearance and behavioural patterns to make himself less appealing when he wants to be left alone. And Cayde could also just be being a little shit. All of these are possible and potentially simultaneously true.)
The Drifter also has a pretty antagonistic relationship with his ghost and has refused its help in the past so it would not be out of character for him to not allow it to heal him and instead want to heal any wounds he's sustained 'naturally.'
So there's basically three main possiblities: Either he was risen with the scars, has somehow chosen to keep them between resurrections (I'm unsure if this is even possible in D2 lore, but it's a popular fan theory), or he hasn't died since he got them (and refuses to allow his ghost to heal them with Light).
While your theory of a Dredgen/blood ritual is possible, to me it seems far more likely the scars are so symmetrical because they're from an explosion near his face. Such as in the concept art below:
He's also got several voice lines in his Gambit preamble, and elsewhere discussing his many adventures in kit-bashing and engineering which have involved considerable personal danger to himself. The Drifter has never been one for OSHA compliance.
This is in addition to his brutal past detailed in A Man With No Name and elsewhere, which involved quite a lot of shrapnel, explosions, buildings collapsing, fire, and other unpleasantness.
It's also plausible that, rather than shrapnel, they're tooth or claw marks from the creatures he encountered in the Ancient Apocalypse armour lore where he, once again, murdered his entire crew to survive, as shown in this concept art:
One of the (many, many, many) things I love about the Drifter is that he is just so full of stories. The scars on his face are just yet more stories. The details of his physical portrayal all speak to so many different narrative tidbits. Everything about him is story-rich.
He's a fascinating creature, filled with contradictions and sorrow.
I went combing through D2 concept art for this post and it took me so long to answer specifically because I was trying to find an image that I remember seeing where the Drifter is pulling off some eye protection after an explosion and the scars on his face are where the eye-protection wasn't covering. It stuck in my memory because the Drifter actually using eye protection at all seemed very noteworthy to me at the time. However, I haven't been able to find this image anywhere and this makes me think perhaps it was fan art and not concept art. I asked a bunch of people about this, but no one I've talked with knows wtf I'm talking about. It is also possible I may have imagined it. At this point, I have, sadly, given up on ever locating it again (if it ever existed in the first place).
On the off-chance anyone does know what image I'm talking about, though, here is my desperate plea for a link to it.
That is all.

Wakfu Season 3, Episodes 1-6
//tw mentions of SA
Episode 1 - Fallen Heroes
I had a very long discussion with a friend of mine, who is a fan of medical settings, about how cool the existence of IV within the lore of Krosmoz is.
We didn't come to any conclusion. It was just us fanboying about this. Because my friend loves medical things and I love putting character into situations (some of which would not be survivable, if them being put on IV wasn't possible) (big fan of the concept of Joris getting poisoned and very sick and Kerubim and Atcham freaking the fuck out).
Funnily enough, during the making of my YouTube series, I discovered that there are two Sram-venerating women named Toxine in this franchise.
youtube
Adamai harbouring feelings of violence towards the members of the brotherhood is a good idea, (<- obviously the guy that wants Joris to beat the shit out of Kerubim would say this), but man, it could have been so cool if someone competent was working with this idea.
Episode 3 - Oropo's Tower
I should admit, this moment was probably a big win for Tristepin Mental Illness fans. Also, this is sadly the most explicit they can get with the reasons why Tristepin might hate being the Iop god in a cartoon.
He has plenty of reasons. Not only had Iop had 394824 demigods who hated him and felt abandoned by him while suffering fates worse than death (all gods have those) and just as many mortals he took advantage of using the power imbalance of godhood and promises of love (all gods have done that), he also canonically sexually assaulted a woman.
Ngl, if I was Tristepin, I would be considering killing myself — however, the kids and the wife would be sad.
They shuoild do this to Yugo too. He also had other wives. Albeit in an infinitely less insane way than Tristepin. Ankama.., please stop ignoring how existentially horrifying the Eliatrope demigods are.
In the Dofus MMO Kerubim pretty much calls the brotherhood of the forgotten an emo club of people with too much free time on their hands doing nothing but whining about their daddy issues.
And he was so real for that.
Btw canonically, Mishelle/Coqueline makes him feel intimidated (due to her grand age) while she herself doesn't really care about him (besides liking his good attitude towards animals), and is actually besties with Otomai.
Episode 4 - Beastly Girl
I like to headcanon that Joris's relationship with Coqueline is that he projects onto her ("oh god.... being 7 forever would make me kill myself.... even being 3ft tall is already horrible and makes me want to die..... the poor woman must be suffering") while she's like,, 1. probably doesn't think of herself as a "woman". I think she would describe herself as a creature, maybe a girlcreature, and 2. is literally chilling and doesn't give a single shit about anything but animal welfare and direct anti-god action.
I think talking to her would kill Joris because he'd realize that not every immortal person is as insecure about Literally Everything as he is.
She literally says, "the only good gods are ex-gods". We stan a leftist girlcreature?
This screenshot can be used as a reaction image for so many different shows. More fictional parents should say "my child is NOT ascending to godhood and shedding their mortality, becoming something beyond my comprehension, before they're of age. Fuck you."
Episode 5 - A Iop Hides Himself to Cry
You want to read @bitter-panacea's analysis posts about Goultard so bad.
Despite my negative feeling on s3, this is a WIN for Goultard fans, as far as I'm aware. (and Goultard enjoyers, since I kinda consider myself one)
I;'m going to walk into the sea.
Episode 6 - The Ecaflip's Scratching Post
YEAH BABY, A FULL ON IN-SHOW CONFIRMATION OF MY "USH HAS A DIFFERENT MOM THAN KERUBIM AND ATCHAM" HYPOTHESIS.
This might not seem like a contentious issue to normal people. Gods have... a lot of different lovers, so it seems normal to assume that Ush has one mom, while Kerubim and Atcham are twins like Eleley and Flopin, and have a different mom...
But a cancelled game that Tot really liked and still considers canon had really weird "there's an Ecaflip priestess who is the CEO of Giving Birth" lore, and was planned to be the mysterious mom of Kerubim and Atcham (and many other demigods), which contradicts a lot of previously established lore (ankama LOVES retcons. sadly).
I am quite open about thinking this is stupid and not considering this canon until they show her to me in an actual released media (and even then I will find a way to headcanon a better reality). Seeing the series itself acknowledge that Ush is not Atcham and Kerubim's full brother makes me feel quite better.
Hi Ush were you doing [SEXUAL ACTS REDACTED] upon cats again.
Cute...
A normal thing for a Bontarian to do. Blue-clad (metaphorically, he isn't wearing blue but white. Still very Bontarian though) man over here protecting kids and women. While also beating them up.
But unironically, I think it's cute that he has this gap moe of being an evil man who also saves people and cares about honour (because that's a proper thing to do) despite cheating constantly.
Somehow, his shallowness and "I mostly care about appearances, even if I do have a moral code" sort of behaviour is just as Extremely Bontarian as Joris's.... 30 mental illnesses.
youtube
THE OST IN THIS EP IS SO GOOD. ECAFLIP FANS WINNING ONCE AGAIN.
Hey past me! Maybe he really does pay these cats to put up with his insane behaviours. 🤨
Yugo, I'm gonna be real with you:
he's probably heard Joris and Kerubim say these exact words at least twice before,
He is reallllllly weird about cats and I am unsure if that's illegal in your setting,
He lured in people to kill in his tower for sport serial killer style.
He's bontarian. -20 morality and honor points immediately.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but... HotD writers should take a page from Philippa Gregory's playbook (the writer of the books that became the white princess/queen).
She is infamous for saying "ok this sure didn't happen and it's just a rumor BUT WOULDN'T IT BE COOL"and that's how you end up with Elizabeth and her mother being witches, Lizzie and Katherine being more active instead of English flowers, the princes in the tower living, and Elizabeth threatening herself. That woman may have many critics but making her women passive is not one.
Alicent should have been more politically active (just like the books SAY), Rhaenyra shouldn't have lost her fire, Rhaenys and Laena just didn't, nothing they did with them was right and we should spend more time with the children.Baela's arc of being attached to Jace and fighting to the end for Rhaenyra is one that should have been told. What it meant for Rhaena not to have a dragon should have been explored not as the show does (which in the end is still about Daemon and Aemond and not about her) but because her family is under threat and possible attack And she can't be an active part, does she struggle with taking a political role? Does she feel helpless or confident in her abilities?
There is literally a lot of fabric to cut and explore, even with Helaena.Helaena as a dreamer not only contributes nothing to the plot but also made her more boring because it made her "out of reality"Helaena knew that her father was sick, does she know why they are looking for Aegon? How much did she know about the conspiracy? She is calm during b&c until she has to pick and choose what is apparently most politically expedient. How did she feel about her role in the usurpation and since she is the only one Rhaenyra speaks warmly about what was their relationship before?Did she also think that her position of queen (consort) was owed to her?
With Baela and Rhaena it was to delve into what we already had with Helaena they had to ask themselves the questions above and decide how to answer them to create their character, a character that regardless of Whatever they chose would be convincing.Having an ability never explored or used and no history around her simply makes her... As important as a table.
Excelent points, anon. To quickly discuss this part alone more time:
She is calm during b&c until she has to pick and choose what is apparently most politically expedient.
This is honestly what kills me the most abt her character in the show and having those "dreams"--I can put aside (with great restraint to bite) the lore-stomping act of making her not only not actually dream but never try to communicate with her non-offspring family about them...but if she supposedly knows about her kids' dying....she's just going to sit there and LET IT HAPPEN? Until the very last minute?!!!! How does that make sense? How is this not a parallel to that atrocious moment where Alicent--after years of telling all her kids to prepare against Rhaenyra and that she doesn't deserve the throne and perhaps has stolen it from them, that she is an enemy to their very lives--"forgive" Rhaenyra when she apologizes in episode 8?!!!! how does Alicent justify this to her children?! to herself? See, this was the beginning of my hate spiral towards her writing, before I was just annoyed and stupidly hopeful, but this broke the last straw. It's so clearly sexist bc it cuts off the rage a woman accrues until a man interjects with some passionate demand or imploration to stop--a way to "lay down the law" self-sacrificingly!!! It flips into her becoming "helpless" in the face of male violence seconds later with Aemond as she's unbale to stop him from confronting his nephews.
Back to the ask. Very much all this. I love how you expanded on Rhaena, but esp Helaena. That's what i meant by people using the text, context, etc. already present in the work:
Helaena knew that her father was sick, does she know why they are looking for Aegon? How much did she know about the conspiracy? She is calm during b&c until she has to pick and choose what is apparently most politically expedient. How did she feel about her role in the usurpation and since she is the only one Rhaenyra speaks warmly about what was their relationship before?Did she also think that her position of queen (consort) was owed to her?
TANGENT: When adapting, think of the questions you have or others first/second times had when you/they read the text!!! Not the "it has to be this, because that's how we'd treat it in real life". If you really cared to portray women as people with a determination to claim agency even when all seeming signs show attempts to smother that (just bc you were in a socially oppressive society, doesn't mean that you were going to always accept being a victim), you can still present disturbing shit in a relationship, but of a certain kid of interaction is not indicated in text....DON'T INCLUDE IT!!! Don't go the easy route! (HBO and most projects fo into DV without really enabling the women to resist or punish that, so it's the "solution" to the problem of not knowing how to develop female characters who have had all this power but also many obstacles)
Those first/second questions inspire the imagination for more questions which breed possible different paths of character development. That's exaclt what Philippa Gregory did when she was presented with the opportunity to create strong female chaarcters when she could have gone the aged-old white mane route and did what Condal did.
Never read her books, I'm banking on anon and my having watched both The White Queen and The White Princess, which I loved! Yes, very diff authors, diff stories, different worlds, relaity vs fictional historical...but doesn't GRRM not take inspiration from those real texts to make F&B? And do not Condal/Hess and Gregory share the same position of using "historical" reputations and descriptions of noteworthy women that were written by old tired men with agendas (as most European histories before the industrial era--and even then--are ) to create their own versions of that given information?
Go nuts but think first within what is in the text/context the writer wrote out and then let the fandom decide for themselves what is "possible".
I miss Domina. A historical drama right up my alley, that one was.
Really, it's more a matter of faith or belief, but still.

I sometimes wonder how comes you ended up SO attached to Damian specifically? When you first appeared you was just one of us Micolash simps, but before I've noticed it is just Damian everywhere ggjhggkj Sorry if you've answered somewhere already, but what made you so obsessed with Damian? What was that thing that made you see his potential and appeal the way you do now?
Well, yes, you were right to point out that when I came here, I was mostly interested only in Micolash! But gradually getting used to the character, you start to think about his surroundings! And if Edgar I liked from the first glance and he always will be my favourite nerd-accountant-church boy with issues, then Damian I just ignored at first xd And in the game did not really notice him, although he stands out among the phantoms - Loch Shield, ability to heal with choir bell, Mensis cage (AND his amazing look. Long hair and tired old face? Ooooh, I'm in). The cage in particular makes you think that he is a very difficult character which belongs to an enemy fraction and fights on your side. Well beyond that, it was worth taking a closer look at him and it all went on its own :'D
Most of the fandom sees him in a similar way - caring, selflessly giving of himself to Micolash, loyal to the core, a bit slow due to age, and cozy man. My first vision of him was also like he is an absolute angel, the purest creation in the entire game! That was second phase of my simping I think xD Granddilf with the biggest heart and purest soul, loyal servant of his beloved one - oh my god!! Makes me go crazy because I want him to be respected immediately, be loved and cherished. Maybe he is my type? I don't know. Old, really OLD man with loving heart and I-i-i-i... melting...
One of my headcanons is that Damian can kill a human, do crimes, cruel medical experiments (he is a Mensis scholar after all) but he can never hurt a child! ^^^^ There is him with little Yurie, Micolash and Edgar, and image I drew after a cool discussion with Fantomette! We talked about possibility of Edgar being Micolash's son, which means that Damian could possibly be his godfather xd
(Also you may see a plushie bunnie in little Micolash's hands and it has much more sense that it may seem!)
I am too lazy to explain I am sorry Dx But I wrote about bunny and little Irzhie here, in an ask game. The question was - what would be his favourite toy? >>>
Me and my husband talked about Irzhie too much and came to many funny and creepy conclusions and ideas (Damian's obsession with his little brother, projection his brother on Micolash, insanity, necromancy and,,,, Many other things :^) , so that picture was born)
(Sorry to put it in your ask lkak.ermkeamg,g,fdmg BUT you can't shut me up when it's about Damian D: )
I mean you can put Damian in ANY headcanon and he still be kindest man ever existed.
In myvision of lore he helped Rom when she felt really bad in Byrgenwerth, was one amongst three people in the whole college who supported Caryll, he protected Micolash his whole life, he was trying to soften Micolash's deeds and didn't want him to involve innocent children in his experiments (as much as adults. But I believe that Yahar'gul people were sort of fanatics so there were many volunteers for School of Mensis medical stuff), he was the one who will always do his best to help whenever you ask.
And my poor old man is also a saddest creature, because the fact is a fact - no matter if he hates or loves Micolash or just fights against his ideas in game, Micolash is in a Nightmare and Damian is here. I shipped Damicolash and it was really bittersweet. Mico dies and what is left for Damian? Only grieve and sorrow?
Damian/Yurie - bitter end, Damian/Rom - bitter end, Damian/Micolash - bitter end, Damian/anyone else - bitter end! :^)
Anyone else except sir Gremia! (This man deserves another post he is also so complicated! My husband KNOWS how much I adore him. Many of our daily jokes include him lol) Gremia has a strong need in an "adult/mother" archetype and also in "wife/lover", he needs someone who will pat his head and whom he can protect. And Damian needs someone to take care of, to protect and to be protected by that someone (Theme for another post :Р)
Damian, who gave love but didn't receive it, who did his best for Micolash but ended up leaving the Mensis School because his beloved crossed all bounds of sanity, who believed in Kos, his goddess of mothers and children, who genuinely tried to help everyone - I wanted him to be happy.
It really concerned me and I think then started the third phase of simping, when I found out that Sir Gremia exists and Damian just can't be perfect (it's so wrong and boring. I love when a character is like alive person, so it means they are problematic! There are no "normal" people)
I have to say, as you mentioned, I have seen him as a chad, attracting everyone to him xD But right now for me he has flaws, he can be very annoying sometimes, plus overprotection of Micolash (I think Micolash even got tired of him. Sounds like an absolute Micolash plus that may be a reason he let Damian go from serving him), weaknesses and traumas, cruelty and coldness in his heart, and a strong attachment to the past. But he's the kind one. And that's what hit my heart the hardest way. He is player friendly for his own unknown reasons, but I believe his destiny and talent is to lead and protect, which is what he has been doing all his life.
I write a fic about him and Gremia right now, connected with the early Healing Church and I want to put there all my headcanons, big and small and finally finish his story and give him the end of the game that he deserves
I am sorry for the amount of text. Old man took a place in my heart, he does not only looks like an absolute perfection but also seems to be a wonderful person with lots of issues and flaws. I LOVE HIM
I need to improve my drawing skill so I will draw him better and he will become more popular :'D
Maybe I got a little off-topic? But I want you to know how I see him - it's the main point of my simping xD So hard to put all my thoughts in one text. Hope it's not hard to read. It's much easier to write a story than tell the chaos that is happening in your head with your blorbo xD

sending this back to sender. i need a full dissertation on pAInter STAT
Oh, look it's the silly mutual once again in my ask box, wailing and screaming like a drenched kitten or that one generic male character from the hit game going through the worst experience ever— (gets shot)
Anyway, here's my opinions on The p.AI.nter from the hit Roblox game.
You know the drill, putting a read more for my and everyone's safety.
Fucking character of all time, man. Not including Sebastian! We hate Sebastian in this house! 🗣
They made this shit in the lab and called it straight up cocaine for lore heads. And by lore heads I mean me homie!! /j
Gonna mainly go over each label but might go into detail later on so watch out.
Everyone but me is wrong about them <3: I mean this in the nicest way possible. Pressure fandom has already failed miserably at the characterization of Sebastian. We've seen it all, to people anime boyifing the hell out of his visage, to the literal creators having to ward people off by adding changes to the game's data by removing voice lines. Man is not your big monster hubby with a tortured soul. Okay, maybe he is a tortured soul, but more literal than that and less likely to cry on your shoulder or even give you the benefit of the doubt to hold you at arm's length. Anyway, I've seen some people babify the hell out of p.AI.nter as well, and it sucks. I'm sorry, but it's true. It is not your friend, guys. It just wants to paint.
they got done dirty but the creator/s: Okay IDK if you've even peered at the recent updates or uploads from the main creator, but it was shown that p.AI.nter will be updated to be killed at some point. I don't know if they already patched that through the other day because, for one, I haven't played the new update. And, two, I think anyone who tries to do so is a dumb bitch because all p.AI.nter does is trick the player with fake doors and has turrets in occasional rooms (yes, the turrets can be annoying at times but who cares). In my head, I feel like the entity adds some charm to the existing enemies you face during a play through. And removing those elements just feels like a waste. Technically speaking, you only get to The p.AI.nter's room in a certain percentage. Though I will say it makes sense in canon why you would be able to destroy it as Urbanshade as talked nonstop about removing any and all adversaries that get in its way, mainly Sebastian (Unfortunately and thankfully, in Sebastian's case, Sebastian can't be killed). But, I will also say, The p.AI.nter's document, however tragic that it is, kills me at the fact how they handled its owner's death. Like really? Accidentally killed with a rifle to the head because of some dumb guard, no less. If I was that sentient AI, I would no doubt feel endless dread and sorrow. Though, then again, The p.AI.nter is already had several moments of killing itself and been depressed while under Urbanshade's care.
ADOPTION PAPERS ADOPTION PAPERS FILING THE ADOPTION PAPERS: I won't bother writing a whole paragraph, so take this GIF of p.AI.nter as Edgar instead. <3
i am constantly going insane rotating them in my brain like a fork in a microwave: I can not overstate how much I love this little guy. I don't talk about it much nor articulate the words in discussing this freak like I wish I could. But The p.AI.nter is a character that resides in my head twenty-four, seven. Like I'm writing a fanfic about Sebastian right now—well before you sent this, but all I've been thinking about is this dumb AI. Its relationship with Sebastian. Its overall role in the story of the game and so forth.
the popular ships for this character suck: OKAY, OKAY! I know I reblog and sometimes like content of The p.AI.nter with Sebastian together, but that's mostly because I find ship art in general to be an endearing thing to look at from the views of a consumer. However, canon wise it just doesn't… click is all I'm going to say. I DO LOVE THEIR DYNAMIC, HOWEVER!
constantly listening to songs and mentally holding them up like a paint swatch: To be fair, I'm always listening to music, I'm a music junkie at heart and, brother, this shit is breakcore!
I WANT TO STUDY THEM LIKE A COCKROACH: All I'm saying is robotic characters growing sentience is a form of love in video game writing, baby. Also, like I loved The p.AI.nter even before friendly fire update. But y'know me, when it hit beta with its new voice and new face with the MS Paint program that has scratchy line art, circles for eyes and wobbly smile—I was ecstatic! I'm not an engineer or a computer nerd by any meanings, but I wouldn't give to be in Pressure for a spell to like look at inside and out in a non-sexual way of course LMAO.
whats wrong with them (affectionate): SO, SO MANY THINGS! MAINLY URBANSHADE </3
#LETTHEPAINTERPAINTFREELYCHALLENGE
not enough screen time: Maybe this is the me that “likes this character a normal amount” talking, but it makes me sad that The p.AI.nter doesn't say much when you visit its enclosure in heavy containment. Like, you visit Sebastian's shop, and he has like hundreds of dialogue, all of which include snide remarks and shouting at you. It's freaking Gianni I get people! But anyway, my man deserves a little more, thank you. <3
they've never done anything wrong in their life <3: Watch this video from 1:25 and 2:23 and tell me I'm wrong.
youtube
my opinions would be received by most fans as akin to hitting a wasps nest with a baseball bat: i shan't say...
This is the best character in the work: Discounting the most integral character, Sebastian fucking Shoelace, we have The p.AI.nter! Yippie!!! My blorbo, my absolute bestie, my man who hits me in the ass with high grade turret bullets to only die to the next room, my “locks me in a room with my wife as we discuss divorce papers and play 7 minutes in heaven” wingman. <3
Anyway, thanks for coming to my TedTalk!

Hey guys. I love the tripod and spent my whole Sunday listening to you guys. I have been a fan for a long time yet you had a lot of new interesting info I didn't know yet. Great job and professionally done!
can you make an episode about "fanons" (fan headcanons) that are big in the fandom, or the bigolasdickolas incident, or more about what you think will happen in the final season predictions?
Also can you discuss the biggest mysteries like Wolfwoods age, Vash's and Knives gender, Vash's love interest
Can you compare the endings of trimax and 98 and predict how stampede will end
and how the human vs plant conflict could possibly be solved?
also who are you fav characters, ships and scenes in the anime/manga?
Hello dear nonny,
We are so grateful for your support & ecstatic you are enjoying the podcast!!!
Excellent suggestions!!! We have lots in store for future episodes, and rest assured suggestions like yours are pulled into consideration! In the meantime, here’s an answer for your last question:
Favorite Character / Ship / Scene
@aubielikey: Fav character is Vash!! He is Everything to me.
I enjoy lots of ships…fav to write/draw is VashMeryl, but fav overall might be VashWood???
Fav scene is hard to choose, but I think…Trimax Vash approaching his final conflict (Vol 12 Ch 1). The panels are gorgeous, and it is so, so poignant.
@chaoticbuka: Wolfwood is really interesting to me right now. Milly has been my ride or die since 2003.
I am genuinely Multiship. Currently participating in the VW big bang while simultaneously up to my nose in MerylWood brain rot.
As far as favorite scenes? Anything related to project seeds flashbacks; I love the lore.
@museqmeg: Vash my beloved. (He was my first anime crush back in the day!)
I adore both vashmeryl & vashwood. They’re the most canon to the story and I’m a canon girly. I create for vashmeryl but consume so much vashwood. I just love to see Vash love and be loved.
My favorite scene in Trimax is a bit of a silly one, but I adore the end when Vash “accidentally” admits his feelings (platonic/romantic-pick your poison) for Meryl by saying “We’re good together, aren’t we?” The panels after that are adorable. The surprised faces on Milly and Meryl with Vash blushing at them get me everytime. I love them all dearly.
@tombiwidgeon: I almost feel like I have to put Vash aside to pick a fav char because he's a given xD I'm going to go with Meryl in her new expanded role in Tristamp. She gets to play a much bigger part in the story, and in fact drives much of it forward. Her impetus to find the truth of the humanoid typhoon, who she only ever saw as a man even before meeting him, catapults her to right where she needs, and wants to be, to make a difference, especially in Ju Lai.
I multiship most everyone, though VashMeryl is my OTP.
Favorite scene was the hardest. I finally landed on Vash running to the sound of Meryl's/Rem's voice in S1 Ep12. The way Orange animated his desperation, including him wiping his hand across his face, just touched me so deeply. They are masters of their craft.
Love and peace!!!

this town was once C U R S E D ... now it raises the ones who B R E A K T H E M. you're safe here. you can thank the ones who F R E E D us. their mark is STILL LEFT on this place.
welcome to SLTANBURN. this is a multimuse blog made up of original muses from the fictional town of SALTANBURN , NEBRASKA. this blog is based on the television series SUPERNATURAL , but also has it's own lore , in various different horror / supernatural / science fiction settings. this blog will contain SOME TRIGGERING CONTENT , and is not for anyone under the age of 21. the mun is 30+. loved and protected by the lovely jj.
↳ 𝙼𝙴𝙼𝙴𝚂. ↳ 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙴𝚂. ↳ 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚁𝚃𝙴𝚁𝚂. ↳ 𝚆𝙸𝚂𝙷𝙻𝙸𝚂𝚃.
𝙰𝙲𝚃𝙸𝚅𝙴 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙴𝚂:
𝙰 𝚁𝙴𝙵𝙻𝙴𝙲𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 𝙾𝙵 ... the battle between good and evil , humanity , family , love , FINDING A PURPOSE , legacy , i will always come back for you , never leaving a man behind , hidden love , repression , trauma of all kinds , i was cursed FROM BIRTH ... what could possibly scare me , finding belonging , learning what it means to be A COMMUNITY.
𝚁𝚄𝙻𝙴𝚂 𝙲𝙰𝙽 𝙱𝙴 𝙵𝙾𝚄𝙽𝙳 𝙱𝙴𝙻𝙾𝚆 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙲𝚄𝚃.
we're gonna make this the first rule , as there won't be too many on her , but this is a NO HATE / DRAMA BLOG. i do not have the time or capability health wise to handle community drama , and this blog is intended to explore an idea i have been wanting to play with. DO NOT BRING DRAMA TO MY BLOGS. this will result in an instant ban.
next big rule ... i cannot always be here. i have chronic pain and anxiety and run several other blogs. when i have the muse for the characters on here , i will do my best , but do not hound me for replies. reminding me once is fine if i've been posting and it's gone unanswered , but no further than that.
this blog will be exploring a fictional town based on the CW show Supernatural , i will be putting a spin on this though , writing from the perspective of if HBO had picked up the series. that means there will be potentially HEAVILY TRIGGERING CONTENT on this blog. i will do my best to tag everything but expect violence , blood , and sexual content to be somewhat frequent on this blog. should i find anyone following my blog who is under 21 , i will block instantly. no offense , but i'm just more comfortable writing with mun's over 21.
i will be using formatted text , as well as gifs and icons in my posts , but this is not a requirement to write with me. i'm an aesthetic person , and i just find it helps me illustrate my content better. it will not change your chances of writing with me. i follow based on if i think we will write well together.
i love to ship. i love a good romance , and odds are i'll probably be game to at least discuss it. that being said , PLEASE ASK BEFORE ASSUMING A SHIP. it just makes me more comfortable to talk about a potential ship before jumping into it , and it helps with my anxiety.
all graphics , including the psd are done by me. please do not steal them , though feel free to ask about commissions over at my resource blog @defectedsources.

helloo I also go feral whenever you post I love how much thought you put into everything .. auuuoaua it's so good,,
I am curious, what are your thoughts on the ferryman?
aaaa thank you!!! speculating on lore and creating headcanons is one of my favorite things to do with media i love, so i'm glad you all like listening to my thoughts ;o; and double thank you for letting me talk about the ferryman!!!!
the ferryman is one of my favorite enemies in the game, but i think it makes sense considering how much the character has going on. they're a being that sits at odds to everyone else in hell, save for perhaps those in limbo - they are ashamed of what they were and long so much more for heaven than others seem to on the lower layers, while they also maintain a loyal love to gabriel when otherwise he is viewed with hatred for what he's done to the citizens of hell. so central to the ferryman is their loneliness, appropriate for a sailor on an endless ocean, who only has their faith to sustain them in an unforgiving storm.
however, there's a dichotomy to the ferryman - they stand apart from all the other sinners, yet they take massive amounts of pride in their work and it benefits those very sinners. i find it quite interesting that they develop their ships, they incorporate new technologies into them, but most of all, they make them comfortable. the interior of their ship is almost welcoming, a place where new and terrified souls could possibly relax if there is such a thing to the freshly damned. love is worked in, a care for those that are afraid because they understand that fear too and perhaps that's inherent to them, perhaps it's what gabriel did for them, perhaps it's both. so while it’s true that the ferryman is alone, they show an aching sort of love in all of their work from their idols to their ships. they are totally detached from all others, set apart from the sinners they still show thoughtful kindness toward through their work and separated impossibly from gabriel who they sculpt forever for in his long absence.
and their devotion to gabriel has to be discussed given how central it is to their character and what we know about them, how their ship is decorated to honor him with paintings, with sculpture, with his hologram. it's. utterly tragic, it stacks onto their isolation and their love and ultimately crystallizes it. they carefully craft the idols in his honor, the image of the virgin and child as tribute most likely to gabriel's role in the annunciation. to them, he is the gentle messenger written of in the bible, he guides with words of comfort and he is their unwavering faith in a world so desolate and broken. the ferryman knows they will never be saved, at least deep down even if they can't consciously admit it - they are an ailing sailor forever lost at sea and they know they did it to themselves, they chose their fate long ago, but gabriel's care is enough to see them through, to carry them forward in sin so heavy it made them tear their flesh from their bodies. they have mortified their physical form to its destruction and i have to imagine it carries heavy consequences, an agony and ever-present ache in their bones, a rattling cough from phantom lungs when they have nothing to protect them from the driving rain. there is a sickness to them, but still they write in their journal of gabriel, they painstakingly carve another idol of the holy mother, and they work, they work, they can never forgive what they were but he is there even if he never returns. love and loneliness. the ferryman only has themself, and so they hate their only company.
by the events of the game, i do wonder what the ferryman must be feeling, how they were nearly drowned in the souls that poured in from man's demise but since have no longer had any sinners to ferry. and for me, it means they have nearly totally withdrawn into themself, into the memory they have of love and are now forever looking inward. in my version of events, i do have the ferryman live without confronting v1, but it's honestly a complete accident - since my v1 is always flipping a coin, it does so when boarding the ferryman's ship and so they take it as payment. the action does surprise and fascinate v1 briefly, leading it to produce another coin in front of the ferryman to see if they'll take a second (an attempt to establish a pattern). but when they indicate that they need no more, v1 simply moves on and largely places them out of its mind, especially considering the rest of its passage. for the ferryman, they are as detached as ever, knowing not where v1 came from nor willing to wonder at this point. they are wholly within themself by now, totally isolated in their love for their idea of gabriel with so little else on their infinite ocean. they feel their illness working itself impossibly deep, yet know they will never succumb.
("small" side note to end things, i’m so TORN about whether or not I want them to have had any additional contact with gabriel after he saved them. i do think him coming to them once and never again has a distinct melancholy in it, one that suits someone at sea forever thinking of the one they love and knowing they will never come home to see them. and it sort of goes both ways in a sense, that the ferryman is both the sailor and the lover waiting, so it’s in line with their character. BUT in terms of gabriel’s character, i do like him attempting to keep some connection to the ferryman due to his increasing fear that he’s failing them, that he’s failing all the sinners of hell. with every crime he commits against them all, he feels that weight growing on his back and so he wants to have one sinner he could protect, one that he could save from heaven’s punishments. and so he sees them, very rarely, usually briefly, but always with words of comfort, of understanding, of affection. he knows their feelings for him and he can’t know how to respond, he wonders often if his visits do more harm than good...but they have nothing else, no one in that freezing rain. so i just. MAYBE i’m soft and sometimes i want him to give them a little warmth, a brief window where they stop working and their cough lightens. AUGH)
#i think when the ferryman finds sleep#they often believe they will die of whatever they're sick with#and things seem to turn into a bad dream. all of hell a nightmare#and they're so close to finding heaven when they wake#but they always wake on their ship or cabin once more#back to work it is!#also think they have a room for gabe somewhere on that ship. just in case.#SORRY i've been developing on them lately actually.....more fallen gabe arc stuff......#ferryman lives. they can swim even if leviathan destroyed their ship!!#and get to fixing it oh good lird.....#cake answers

You mentioned that you got excited to write the shopping montage when you "realized a certain character would be sticking around." Was the initial uncertainty around that because you weren't sure how the story was going to unfold, or because of some of the real life complications around availability and casting? Stories definitely have a life of their own, but do you feel like you've got a fairly firm plan in mind with "Bridgewater?"
bridgewater spoilers below the cut!
a little bit of both! there's always some uncertainty around what's actually going to be possible production-wise and, of course, we did end up getting alan tudyk in as thomas bradshaw because nathan fillion couldn't come back. and we all couldn't be happier about that! nathan and alan are close friends and alan is doing such a wonderful job that it all really worked out well - but there was definitely a little bit of discussion around "well, do we want to recast or do we want to write thomas off" and ultimately decided that thomas was in so little of season 1 that recasting wouldn't be super disruptive.
I tend to only very broadly plan past a first season when I'm building a show, and usually I'm only focused on, like....the themes and vibes and character growth I want. so in bridgewater's case, I didn't have a S2 plan when writing S1 beyond "here's what I want for jeremy and anne to experience", which could manifest in a whole LOT of ways (this is extremely vague I know, but obviously I can't talk about it until the whole season is out). there was a moment where I thought about jeremy and anne hearing thomas' voice at the end being a fakeout and it actually turns out to be some kind of hallucination or weird paranormal trick, but aaron and I, like, BARELY entertained that. we really wanted jeremy to have the chance to get to know his dad and I love "man out of time" stories.
anyway, long story long, I didn't necessarily even have the arc of the plot and lore of S2 mapped out when we figured out how we wanted the season to end, if that makes sense. I had really clear goals in mind for the emotional journeys that each of the characters would go on, and toyed around with a few ways of getting there before I landed on the one I ended up writing. part of why I don't plot out the specific story beats beyond a first season is because a) I'm a very character-forward writer, so whatever is going to enable the characters to have the emotional arcs I want is what I follow and b) when actors are involved you just truly never know how that's going to transform things.
for instance, I've talked about this before, but jeremy didn't swear all that much on the page in S1, but misha threw in so many swears when we were recording that the S2 scripts had way more cursing for Jeremy from the start. I loved it, I loved how misha's perspective on the character and sensibility altered the way jeremy speaks - he's funnier in S2, with a drier wit, because misha is very funny with a dry wit. it's the same thing with anne - melissa plays her hard-nosed nature so well, but she also has this absolutely incredible softness to her, that I actually wrote her calling jeremy "sweetie" or "honey" in S2 a few times (which I have a lot of squishy feelings about, I just have a lot of squishy feelings about them in general bc of the chemistry that misha and melissa have). same thing with misha and karan - they had such a playful chemistry that it was really easy and nice to lean into the real genuine love and care that vipin and jeremy have for each other (this is, like, SUCH a minor spoiler for what's coming up next, but I was just listening to this episode today, and in future episodes people refer to vipin explicitly as jeremy's best friend because like....yeah, he totally is. jeremy is a pretty loner-ish guy and even though vipin is his TA there is a genuine closeness there).
so there's that kind of stuff that can shape the emotional journeys the characters go on which of course can shake up your plot completely (if anyone listened to The Bright Sessions and has heard me talk about this specific thing before, this is exactly what happened with mark/damien - that relationship was not supposed to result in one of them falling in love and the other one, like, kind of falling back a little against his better judgment (I mean, christ, damien was like the one character that when I started writing I was like 'yeah this guy is straight' turns out VERY much no) but it turned into that because the first time andrew and charlie sat down to record together as those characters it was INSTANT sparks. some of the wildest organic chemistry I've ever experienced as a director lol).
but then there's also the fact that sometimes your actors are your direct collaborators on building the story! of course aaron is my partner in crime in building the world of bridgewater, but for S2, because misha was on board before I even started writing it, the two of us had several conversations both as I was outlining and then after all the scripts were written about who jeremy was and what we wanted for him. so I tend to keep all my plans fairly loose because I love the spontaneous collaboration that comes out of working with other people.
YEESH that was such a long winded answer, but thank you for asking!

☢ Fallout and Scribe Maximus enjoyers, ahoy! ☢
★ you: 23+, scribe / aspirant / knight (etc etc) Maximus enthusiast and writer. someone who's communicative and willing to plot, discuss headcanons and endure my memes and stuff even when we're not actively writing. semi-lit to literate, third person and past tense enjoyer. replies possibly every day or even several times a day, but at least a few times a week (unless, y'know, The Life happens of course). someone who's enthusiastic to delve into Maximus and his trauma, his past, his passions and his aspirations, his sexuality and all the good stuff with the encouragement of his future bf!
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
★ me: 32, a trans dude from Europe, a fellow Maximus enthusiast. roleplayer and writer of 17-ish years, semi-lit to literate, minimum two paragraphs a reply (and usually more) and normally at least one reply a day (and usually more) unless something comes up - of which I will communicate to you. I come into this with a m!OC (BOS deserter / human / 32-ish depending on the verse / scrappy motherfucker and a medic) that is so incredibly into supporting Maximus as he struggles through his journey. a man who's morally sort of grey despite doing his best to be good himself and who is BOS Hater Number One. has strong morals (questionable as they may sometimes be) and has a tendency to have a very "I'm right you're wrong" attitude about values close to his heart when it comes to strangers. somewhat slow to trust people (supposedly) yet has a very deep, sentimental side, latches onto people somewhat easily and and cares hard. switch who leans dominant eveb from the bottom, but has no real interest in intimacy unless it comes with intense emotions and is willing to go at Max's pace whether that's in the bedroom or outside of it. I'm honestly looking for, like, 70/30 in regards to ratio of Maximuw VS my character lore, more looking to study Maximus' character and his person and story + growth VS my dude's.
★ yes: slow burn or love at first sight, both are fine by me. multiple AUs, multiple verses, crossovers, ramblings, threads, screaming and crying over fictional men. open to discussing and writing kink, sexuality, romance, trauma, hidden feelings and hard issues, a journey through how tough it is to crave to belong somewhere so bad, in a world where there's so few somewheres left. dark and dead dove topics extremely welcome, with a few exceptions;
★ limits: no non-con, no romanticizing abuse, and... stuff. the world of Fallout is obviously very dark and I have no qualms writing that; my issue is if, for example, sexual abuse is played as a kink or as simple shock value without ever dealing with the ramifications.
does this sound like your cup of tea? great!!! please like this post and I'll contact you, or feel free to check out my blog and hit me up. pls make sure your messages are open for tumblrs you don't follow & feel not afraid to approach me; I will throw my fella's bio, writing samples and other relevant stuff @ you first thing when I message you so you can decide whether you're into it or not and you can ghost me in peace if so be it! (✿◡‿◡)★~
look forward to hearing from you! 🌹

can I quickly rant something about nvfri to you?
the recent increase in mainstream queer ships is making people who ship str8 shit want to be "quirky". it's why the "girlboss x malewife" or "t4t couple gender goals" or "they are actually yuri to me" is getting so popular.
here's the thing: furina isn't a girlboss and neuvi isn't a malewife. nothing about their strictly professional man x woman who didn't trust her coworker who she worked 500 yrs with is yuri. if they were shipped for being "t4t", where's the art? where's the content?
these shippers try to "queerify" their ship while accusing wrlt shippers of being misogynists (for shipping m/m rather than m/f) and calling clvia shippers delusional (cuz they think they are "yuri bait")
the worst part is, just a WEEK ago, a thread was dropped where a nvfri shipper tried to call furina a PROSTITUTE because of her normal attack. and how she sold herself to neuvi as an "act of love". and they used Crowley's text to justify her lore (which is extremely transphobic and horrifically, a r@pe fiction). AND THAT THREAD HAS HUNDREDS OF LIKES.
I have had a sour taste for these shippers for a long time now ever since they used the "queer people ship this too" card (cuz that card was used by zhnguang shippers too and we all know how that turned out) but after last week, I am just a hater honestly.
Sorry for the long rant btw, i would have like 30 ppl trying to dox me if I posted this on twitter or some shit
THANK YOU SM FOR THIS ASK 😭😭😭 I've been thinking exactly the same thing but it's so hard to find anyone to discuss it with cause we're gonna get jumped if we mention this on twt.
Calling nvfr a straight ship for gay people is crazy to me because their dynamic is every heteronormative trope ever. Strong serious man who is simping for his cute feminine "girlboss" waifu. And people are seriously trying to spin this as some queer dynamic because they're too embarrassed to admit they like a cliche hetero ship. All while shitting on actual queer ships.
It also drives me insane when people act like "girlboss x malewife" is a "quirky" and unusual dynamic when a man being obsessed with a woman and worshipping her is as hetero cliche as you can get. If they actually wanted a "girlboss x malewife" dynamic they would make the female character a pursuer in a relationship but of course they're not gonna do that.
I've also seen the thread calling Furina a prostitute and using Crowley's text as "proof" and I honestly have no words at this point. I'm just sad we finally got a non-sexualized androgynous female character in genshin whose story has nothing to do with romance yet she's being reduced to a sexualized waifu for a hetero ship. I honestly didn't think it was possible to feminize a female character before I saw what nvfr shippers do to Furina. So much for "t4t ship" 🤡

Alone at The Edge Of A Universe Humming a Tune
aka, a dsmp meta--ish post in 2023, god help us all. (And No, I'm not leaving the fandom) I don't even know what to say how do you even begin with something you loved so much and spent so little time with. Like, being in the fandom since the beginning to the canon end is such a profound experience but coming late? Man. I came after the fractures started showing and the lore discourse had gotten brutal and everyone was tired. I think I only really got into the plot itself around the time of the revengers and I only really joined the fandom here on tumblr around this time actually. And we know how the story went into rapid decline following the prison break and everything afterwards was a slow and brutal descent, but that was my first exposure to the DSMP, when arguably most of it's flaws were being shown and discussed and talked about and even though I tried so hard I still fell in love. And I defended it. You can see so many old posts of mine defending the lore, saying how I had faith the writers knew what they were doing and would address *story problem 1234* and up until like, june. Of 2022. When season 2 was first announced and already c!Wilbur's and c!Quackity's stories were coming to an end and people were pissed about a possible world reset, I tried to tepidly defend it saying that probably wouldn't happen and when it was said on twitter BY the creator, I took that at face value. And maybe it was my fandom honeymoon phase entering overdrive, maybe it was copium to try and convince myself I wouldn't be torn up over it one day, maybe I was just desperately wishing for someone to agree with me. That I hadn't come to a fandom too late. And I wouldn't trade it for the world. Most of my hyperfixations have lasted literal years, and I don't see my dsmp one ending anytime soon. I also tend to go back to them, if the occasional warrior cats post is anything to go by. That I would be with other fans who'd still be interested and write and draw and create and I wouldn't be alone. Maybe I was scared of losing that so soon after I first found something so comforting. I wasn't alone though. I've made so many friends and have so many good memories and hell I made my own fan-content. I have over 200 people who liked my stupid mcyt blog enough to follow! And now that's come to pass and people and blogs who were cornerstones of my early fandom experience have gone dark or deactivated, and many of my mutuals have simply found new interests I don't share and moved on entirely or mostly. And I'm still here, and it's okay. I find it somewhat funny and ironic how my experience in fandom, in away, mirrored c!ghostboo, one of the first characters who joined alongside me really and who I payed close attention to regarding lore discourse, ended up in the Nether somewhat alone, with just the thing he loved at the end of canon.
#dream smp#dsmp#mcyt#mcytblr#dsmpblr#dsmp lore#dsmp lore analysis#dsmp meta#personal ish#what a wonderful horrible stupid brilliant fandom i'd love to tell my kids about i would never share it with anyone#i love it.

The Wednesday Video is Done!
Well everyone, it's done.
youtube
For the past months, I have edited, discussed, and made a personal vlog about my journey discussing the outcasts paralleling society's mistreatment of minorities (especially us neurodivergents and autistics). Now as I am typing this, it will be live in the coming days. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love and support, not just for my cosplays, but for this video in general. It was paramount, as all of you really wanted this to become a reality, and I had a lot of fun pouring my heart and soul into it. This was a very personal project, and in terms of my career and how important it is to get our stories out there, I had to do it, and it wasn't a decision I made lightly. Months ago, you recall I posted this:
Back then the video was simply straightforward, but the more I reflect on myself and the more I see those little details from the outcast characters and the little pieces of Jericho's lore, these connections that parallel our real world through organizations like Autism Speaks downplaying us and making us look like a joke to stereotyping, I had a lot of thoughts to include my own story of my life.
Again, this wasn't a decision I made lightly. But when your story and the connections are so paramount, well, you have to create your own "I am Iron Man" moment, and in this case, I have to do it for the greater good. If I share my story, my dream, and showcase my talent as I did in this video, I believe we can inspire change and foster greater understanding, not just for me, but for everyone of us neurodivergents who feel the same way.
Throughout my life, I've encountered a significant amount of misinformation regarding individuals with autism, but I've persevered and managed to overcome the odds. I've learned how to regulate myself and control my stims, successfully maintained control over my behaviors, and, most importantly, I've become an advocate for autism acceptance. I've also devoted myself to learning essential life skills that I was initially denied, striving to become as independent as I possibly can be.
Society doesn't just need to accept us; it needs to embrace us. Yep, they need us now more then ever. We are all unique. Not a puzzle that they need to correct us on. They need that uniqueness. As I mentioned, even if my dream doesn't come to fruition, despite the talents and the love I've poured into it, sharing my story with the world and shedding light on the challenges we face, while drawing parallels to how it's portrayed on the show, can have an even greater impact.
Thank you for your continued support. Accept us. Accept Autism.

Completed evolution after like 12 hours of ruminating on choices (Shirt to wear to therapy that says "I take a normal amount of time to make decisions in rpgs") so of course I immediately take to tumblr to Discuss
And by Discuss I mean Complain
Chose the Wheel of Fortune ending with O and I intend to see the Hanged Man ending with Sammy when I eventually get there. Feels most fitting for their characters given the choices I have. Though both of them have personal reasons not to want to do the whole extreme Chain-Breaking thing so 🤷
Anyway I didn't like any of the possible endings and felt like no one really had a choice. Wheel of Fortune ending was lukewarm. I just feel like "a secret third thing" should not lead to either the forced destiny or the weird immortality thing, and I'm really not into the constables renown but I'm not getting paid enough to get emotionally invested in a dubiously written story. Also like, my character has no interest in the Mountain so what's he doing there? None of it is stuff my character would actually do so... not making it into the OC canon!
Will interpret it my own way ig, bending the rules of death, ssuck my ass, Sapphir'd King
And I'm so done with the revs being associated with the worst decisions lmao. Why does someone accepting their fate instead of trying to change it give renown: revs? Like. Fine whatever, Skies Winter Reside characterization is more important to me than whatever this is lol. And the game still didn't really say anything new or meaningful about December.
It's just so weird because I saw in the discord that Groover wrote most of evolution but I didn't recognize his style here at all, except for like Chapter 6. I do love some of the ES he's written and the discordance, but the writing is a hit or miss for me tbh. This was a miss. Strength in lore but not character development.
Well that's just about all my mental bandwidth for a while so it's back to brass lollipops. One day I will return to Irem but for now the focus is on grad school and being a better writer.
Anyway. Cheeky
IN CONCLUSION back to playing skies
